(00:00):
this week we're gonna becovering own the clock, own your
life, the hidden power ofSchedule Mastery.
So as we get ready to embark on2026, we could all use a little
bit of an update to ourschedules.
So really excited to jump intothat here today, because during
this time of the year, for me,it's.
(00:20):
It's very exciting.
I actually get the busiest as acoach.
I get the busiest during thistime for the simple fact that a
lot of people are getting readyto launch into the new year.
They have new year resolutionsas a community, we're prepping
for the new year, and I'm one ofthose believers that when it
comes to new year resolutions, you should never start.
At the beginning of January, newyear resolution should be
(00:42):
started weeks before so that youcan build up momentum going into
the new year.
Most people when they embark onthe new year, they're typically.
Starting their new yearresolutions, they're all
excited, new Year, new me.
And then they find themselves ina space where they're not
following through.
There's actually a nationalquitters day in January for when
(01:02):
people, I always talk aboutthis.
There are tons of people whoactually end up quitting on
their new Year resolutionswithin the first few weeks, and
I believe that part of it.
Is because they haven't reallyembedded those routines.
They haven't integrated andassimilated those routines into
their daily schedule.
However, if you start weeksprior to the new year actually
(01:25):
starting, you can give yourselfsome time to make these things a
part of your weekly method ofoperation or daily method of
operations.
So today.
We're gonna be coveringeverything, scheduling.
I'm big on calendar optimizationfor those of you who follow my
work, always talking about howyou should pretty much be
working out your schedule tooptimize it for your peak
(01:47):
performance, for just keepingsome type of balance in your
life.
Let's get ready to jump rightinto it.
Alright, own the clock, own yourlife, the hidden power of
Schedule Mastery.
So before we jump into that, Ijust wanna cover a few.
Life hack and fun facts for youguys as we typically do before
jumping into the main topic forthe day and today's fun fact.
(02:12):
We have a few of them actually.
The very first fun fact is theaverage person wastes 21.8 hours
per week due to poor planningand constant task switching.
That's over 1100 hours a year.
Enough time to start a business, write a book.
Or master a new skill.
(02:33):
Think about that.
21.8 hours per week.
That's pretty much an entire daythat we typically waste just not
being intentional with our day.
So something to definitely takeinto account.
We typically think that we don'thave any time, but we don't
realize how much time we'reactually wasting on things that
don't necessarily get us theresults that we're looking for.
(02:54):
So fun fact number two, we haveyour brain is 2.5 times more
efficient in the morning, withinthe first two hours after waking
up.
That means your golden time isliterally worth more.
And this is definitely importantto understand because at the
very beginning of the day.
(03:14):
So oftentimes I find that if youget your day started really
early and you build up thatmomentum, you typically see the
effect throughout the day.
That's why you guys would hearme say many times that if you
win the morning, you'll win theday.
And really life is about winningthe day when it comes to just
getting results, becauseoftentimes.
(03:36):
If we get overwhelmed with theweek or we get overwhelmed with
the entire month, but if youjust focus on winning the day,
you're a lot more likely to,again, win the week, win the
month, and so on and so forth.
Next fun fact we have is peoplewho time block, are shown to
reduce stress by up to 60%because the brain feels safer
(03:57):
when it knows what's comingnext.
And I can tell you right now, this definitely is something
that I've noticed actually worksin my life, like just scheduling
things out and even just theprocess of writing things down.
Sometimes just putting togethera plan really helps with
(04:17):
anxiety.
It helps with overwhelm, thingsthat you're probably navigating
through.
Take the time to really sitdown, write out what you're
thinking, and you'll notice asignificant difference in the
way that you feel about what itis that you're going through.
And I think that.
Honestly, a lot of it has to dopsychologically with this idea
of control or perceived control.
(04:39):
There's a saying that perceivedcontrol equals happiness, and
sometimes feeling like we have asense of control, it really does
alter our mood, and this is abig reason why.
You hear a lot of talk aboutmaking your bed and the
importance of making your bed,and I'm a firm believer that
making your bed definitely has asignificant impact on the way
(05:01):
that you feel throughout thecourse of the week.
Because think about it when, whenever you have a long day or
life just seems to get a bitchaotic.
When you go home and you getready to rest your head at night
or whatever the case may be, andjust seeing a spread bed, a bed
that's made up, it just givesyou a sense of you know what?
(05:23):
Life is a little bit crazy rightnow, but I do still have some
sense of control.
Like I, I always say that acluttered home is a cluttered
mine is a cluttered life.
You always have to start offwith your inner world, making
sure that.
Your home is intact becauseisn't it true that you just feel
so much better when you comeback home to just an organized
(05:44):
space rather than everythingjust cluttered.
You got dishes piled up, you gotclothes on the floor, and it's
just it.
It gives you that feeling likeyou don't have control over your
life when you walk into a homelike that.
So just little things as simpleas making your bed definitely go
a long way.
Next up we have a few lifehacks.
(06:05):
The very first life hack is,this was actually my first time
hearing about this one.
Use the ten three two one zerorule.
And the way that rule works is10 hours before bed.
No caffeine and I need todefinitely take this advice
because Lord knows I'm notoriousfor drinking caffeine after 4:00
(06:28):
PM and I do feel that it has a,an effect on my sleep for sure,
because I'll catch myself wakingup through the night from time
to time, so no caffeine, 10hours before bed.
Three hours before bed, no heavymeals.
This is super important becausewhile you sleep, remember your
(06:49):
body is still digesting food, soif you give yourself a couple of
hours before you go to bed.
You're gonna be able to digestyour food a lot better two hours
before you go to bed.
No work.
So shutting down work two hoursbefore bed.
I'm at about one hour beforebed, but I definitely have to
get better.
(07:09):
Two hours is really good.
One hour before bed.
No screens, and you guys hear metalk about this all the time,
especially after 10:00 PM youdefinitely don't want to be
looking at screens because italso has an effect on the
quality of your sleep.
And zero hours is the number oftimes you hit snooze.
So when you wake up.
(07:30):
No snooze, and this alone canincrease daily energy apparently
by 30 to 40%.
And I'm a believer in that.
You guys hear me talk aboutgoing 21 days without hitting
the snooze button.
In fact, it's part of the 21 todo.
So I have the 21 days totransformation challenge that we
do with our community from timeto time.
(07:50):
And part of the 21 to-dos is nothitting the snooze button, and
there's power in that.
Reason being is because.
Think about it, when you hit thesnooze button unconsciously or
subconsciously you're liketelling yourself that you don't
want to start the day, right?
It's you.
It's the very first signal tosay, you know what?
(08:12):
I'm not ready to take on theday, whereas.
If you do not hit the snoozebutton and you get straight up
and you get your day rolling, itjust, it has a different kind of
energy to it.
And this is a big reason why Irecommend for so many people.
In fact, my wife is good atthis.
She actually puts the phone inthe bathroom because it forces
her to get up and not snooze.
(08:33):
And I would even recommendhaving a glass of water by your
phone.
So the moment you wake up.
If you can have it on the otherside of the room or in another
room altogether.
Not if you're gonna not hear thealarm, right?
Because some people like Josh, Itried the life hack and I didn't
wake up this morning because Ididn't hear the alarm.
(08:54):
So make sure that it's closeenough so that you can actually
hear it.
Also be very mindful at the typeof alarm you set.
So for example, my wife has.
An alarm that has nature soundsand you may put like nature
sounds and end up.
Thinking that you're dreaming orthinking that like it's not even
(09:17):
an alarm.
It's part of your dream.
So set an alarm that's actuallygonna get you up.
Put the phone on the other sideof the room if you can, and
preferably put a glass of wateror a bottle of water so that you
can just start hydratingyourself and wake yourself up
the moment you wake up.
Alright, so no snooze.
If there's any goal that wouldbe really good for 2026, it's
(09:37):
definitely.
No snooze because you wanna getup and start your day with some
attitude, right?
And I'm talking about thepositive attitude, like you're
ready to take on whateverchallenge life presents.
Next we have life hack numbertwo, master the core, three
daily priorities.
Many of you hear me talk aboutthis and refer to it as the big
(09:58):
three or the three to thrive, and pretty much it's the three
main goals that you have to getdone.
For the day.
So every morning list only threegame changing tasks that move
your business, your income, oryour health forward.
If everything is important,nothing is.
Remember that and you guys hearme always talk about Warren
(10:20):
Buffet's quote, if you have morethan three priorities, you don't
have any is so important tojust.
Folks, most people don't getahead in life, as my mentor
says, because they major inminor things.
So you wanna be the person thatreally identifies what are the
three things, the cre, threecritical things that are
actually gonna move the needle.
And I know for me.
(10:43):
Typically, like part of my bigthree is it may be content
creation because contentcreation is essential for my
line of work, but working out isa big part of it.
Working out, doing somethingwith my business.
Sometimes it's family relatedstuff, but identify those big
three and preferably.
Go through your list the daybefore, because sometimes you
(11:04):
may have things on your schedulethe next morning and you don't
even look at your calendar inthe morning and you end up
forgetting that you hadsomething scheduled.
So look at your schedule.
Always like the evening before, and I believe that if you look
at your day ahead and you knowwhat to expect for the next day,
(11:24):
your dreams can actually work inyour favor.
Maybe you have some dreams, somedivine guidance on what to do
with the day ahead.
So this power in going overyour.
Next day, the night before, asyou guys hear me say all the
time, if you fail to plan, youplan to fail.
So you want to take time to justplan out your days, your weeks,
and so on and so forth.
(11:45):
Life hack number three, automateyour life using theme days.
You guys may have heard me talkabout this a few weeks ago, and
basically the way theme dayswork is you assign each day a
theme.
So for example.
It may be Marketing Monday orClient Tuesday, content
Wednesday, et cetera.
(12:05):
So when I'm, whenever I'mcoaching clients and social
media tends to be one of thosetedious things for a lot of
people where.
It's hard just stayingconsistent with it, but you have
things like batch creating whereyou can just dedicate or
allocate one day or a few hoursout of the week just to creating
content and doing it all at thesame time.
(12:28):
Okay, so there's theme days thatyou can have, maybe there's
certain days out of the week.
But having these theme daysreally help you stay on track
and you reduce decision fatigueand operate with better focus.
Alright, so let's jump into ittoday.
Understand that most peopledon't have a time problem.
(12:48):
They have a management problem.
You don't rise to the level ofyour goals, you fall to the
structure of your schedule.
So I always say that.
You have to treat your schedulelike your second Bible, right?
Your schedule is like your boss.
I always say that all the time.
I'm a servant to my schedule.
Everything has to go on theschedule because it's
(13:11):
interesting, I was talking to.
This men's business leadersgroup that I'm a part of last
week, and one of the things thatwe were talking about was time
management and actually makingtime for God, right?
Prioritizing God in your lifeand just getting better at time
management.
And one of the things that I hadreferenced was.
Time management is important, but oftentimes one of the things
(13:33):
that I preach is energymanagement.
Because think about it, you maybe really good at time
management, but if you don'tstructure your day in such a way
where you have enough energy todo the things that you need to
do, then it's pointless.
So you have to schedule thingson your calendar, and this is
part of the process.
When I go through calendaroptimization, I have people
(13:56):
schedule things in.
According to their energy levelsthroughout the day.
So if you're someone who worksbetter at night, then we may
schedule some of your creativework in the night.
Or if you're someone who's supermotivated, high energy in the
morning, maybe getting thatworkout done early in the
morning rather than waitingafter work where you're burnt
(14:16):
out.
And chances are you're probablynot gonna get up in that gym.
So this is definitely importantto understand is having energy
management throughout the courseof the day.
Next.
Let's see here.
All right.
Why schedule mastery equals lifemastery, and I'm gonna share a
few key points when it comes tothat.
(14:38):
The very first thing is aschedule is a reflection of your
values.
You have to inspect what youexpect.
Think about that.
Whatever goes on your calendaris a priority in your life,
right?
Whenever you, when you, wheneveryou are, you're intentional
about what you give your timeto, it clearly indicates what
you value.
So if you truly value.
(14:59):
Being a good parent, gettingclose with your children, then
you're gonna schedule that in.
If you truly value marriage, you're probably gonna schedule
in some date nights, things likethat.
So a schedule, remember, is areflection of your values.
That's why it's so important.
Now, remember, this busy doesnot equal productive.
(15:21):
There are a lot of people whoget caught up in busy work
thinking that they'reproductive, but the reality is
that they're not.
They just justify in their mindthat they're productive because
they're moving around a lot, butthey're not really doing things
that are going to get them theresult that they want.
And this is why you have to do,take inventory of what you're
(15:41):
giving your time to and reallysee whether it's actually
working.
Okay.
In the world of productivity, you have lead indicators and lag
indicators, and those are thethings that show you whether or
not you're making progress.
Now we have chaos in yourcalendar leads to chaos.
In your mind, it's the same ideayou as like taking care of your
(16:07):
home, right?
If you're taking care of yourcalendar, chances are you're
gonna, you're not gonna be asoverwhelmed or have as much
anxiety, because anxietytypically comes from you.
You feel as if you have a lackof control in your life.
Everything is hitting you all atthe same time, and you don't
have that personal power.
(16:28):
A lot of anxiety comes fromthat.
When you're very intentionalabout what it is that you're
doing throughout the day, again,it gives you that sense of
control.
Your schedule determines, remember how you feel, how you
perform, what you accomplish, your stress levels, the quality
(16:50):
of your relationships, right?
And the four currencies of life.
Time, energy, attention, focus Aschedule protects all four.
Many times.
You guys hear me talk about whoand what is getting your t and t
being an acronym for your time, energy, and attention.
(17:11):
So what in your life is gettingyour T?
Who in your life is getting yourtea and how much of those
important things are youactually scheduling?
So think about this, the areasof your life that you really
want to improve going into thenew year.
For some of you, it may be yourfinances.
For some of you, it may be,let's just say your
(17:33):
relationships.
It may be your parenting, it maybe your career.
Now, how many of those thingsare actually on your calendar?
If you looked at your calendartoday.
How many of those things can yougenuinely say are on your
calendar right now?
This is super important tounderstand because a lot of
people don't realize thatthey're not getting ahead in
(17:56):
life simply because they're notgiving enough consciousness to
the things that actually matter.
So before we jump into the nextsegment, quick heads up, I, I am
in the middle of a challengewith our community, so I'm
really excited.
And when I say challenge, areally good challenge.
Every year we do challengesthroughout the course of the
(18:17):
years.
You guys may have.
Been a part of the 21 Days totransformation challenges and
all of that stuff.
This year I did something alittle different going into the
new year.
We didn't do a 21 days totransformation challenge.
We're actually doing five daychallenges.
And what makes these challengesunique is that I'm actually
doing them one-on-one.
So if you're someone who haswanted that one-on-one attention
(18:40):
and you wanna go five daysworking on something that you
really wanna accomplish goinginto the new year, it could be
launching a book, launching apodcast, launching a business,
taking your life to the nextlevel, or just something in your
personal life that you wannabreak through in.
I would highly recommend youembark on this five day
challenge.
I had a lot of people reach out.
There's a standby list.
If you would like moreinformation on how the five day
(19:02):
challenge works, DM me the wordchallenge.
Wherever you can find me onsocial media, I'll be more than
happy to fill you in on exactlyhow it works, but it is
one-on-one with me, so I amsuper limited right now.
I'm doing about four to fivepeople a week going into the new
year.
So really excited to work withmany of you.
If you've been on the standbylist, just be patient.
We're gonna do our best to getas many of you in the challenge
(19:25):
as.
Possible.
So it's been going really cooljust working with many of you on
a one-to-one basis, and so manypeople have been getting
incredible results and I'mdefinitely looking forward to
coaching a lot of you guys goinginto the new year with this
challenge.
Next we have how your brainworks with or against your time.
Okay, this is really good.
(19:46):
So some of the key points arethis, the brain loves rhythm and
predictability.
The brain loves rhythm andpredictability that flow state.
Where you're just in flow andpredictability is a big thing.
I know for me, whenever I'mtypically in my happy place.
(20:07):
Whenever I have routine, I justthrive off of routine.
I know not everybody routine istheir thing, but predictability
most certainly has helped meover the years just feel like I
have so much more control.
Next, we have every decisiondrains willpower.
Reduce decisions, increase yourpower.
(20:28):
This is a big thing tounderstand because you have this
idea of willpower depletion.
Every act that you make orembarking, or embark on
throughout the course of theday, it is depleting you of your
dopamine.
It is depleting you of yourwillpower.
Willpower is a lot like amuscle.
The more you use it, the moreyou lose it, and you have to be
(20:52):
very intentional about.
How you go about, let's say, scrolling, how you go about
checking your emails, how you goabout taking random phone calls
from family and friends, becausethese things do take your
energy.
So for example, rather thanchecking your email all
throughout the day, just takeone time throughout the day to
(21:13):
check your email rather thanscrolling through your newsfeed
on social media all throughoutthe day, giving social media
dopamine.
Just take one time throughoutthe day or delete the app
altogether.
And this really does helpbecause in order to really
perform at your best when itcomes to the work that you're
doing, you're going to need asmuch of your dopamine as
(21:35):
possible to take all massiveaction, all out.
Massive action.
Next, we have why task switchingis destroying your productivity.
Many of us throughout the day,we're just embarking on a lot of
different tasks.
So it may be, let's say, makingthat store run for the day or
(21:55):
doing the dishes, and thenyou're dealing with your
children and you've got thistask and that task, sending out
emails and all of that.
Remember you.
Most people, if not all peoplehave biological prime times.
All people do, and it'sdifferent for a lot of people,
but for most people, forexample, the morning deep work
(22:17):
is best for the morning timebecause that's when they have a
lot of their energy.
And remember your brain also.
Has D different brainwaves, andthose brainwaves alter the way
your brain operates.
So you have beta alpha, you havetheta, delta, and even gamma
brainwaves.
(22:38):
And depending on that, thatbrainwave that you on or that
frequency if you will, thattypically determines how
creative you are.
How effective you are oranalytical you are, and at
different times of the day, youhave different parts of your
brain that are operated.
It's like when you're justwaking up, your brain is in that
(23:00):
theta state that the deltabrainwave is deep sleep.
For example, the theta state islike.
You are in that dream, likeyou're like, like awake in a
sense, but you're not completelyjust on, on a hundred when it
comes to being super analyticalor rational or logical, but
(23:21):
there's still value in being ina theta brain state.
For example, you may go into adeep meditation and you're in
between like data and delta, andyou're able to have these these
visions or whatever.
Now if you're an alpha brainwaveis going to have you a lot more
(23:43):
creative.
Beta helps you with beingproductive and analytical,
logical, things like that.
And gamma is like beingsuperhuman.
You're at your best you're in aflow state, okay?
So different times of the day, you're in different brainwaves,
and the afternoon, for example, may be really good for
administrative work or lightwork, and the evening may be
(24:06):
better for planning andreflection.
So you essentially wanna alignyour task with your natural
energy.
Or your natural brainwaves, ifyou will.
We all have different aspects ofthe way our body and brains
work.
Work, and it's good to know whattimes of the day you're most
creative, what times of the dayyou're primed for analytical
(24:28):
work.
And it's a little different fordifferent people.
Some people are night owls.
My wife is a major night owl, soshe loves working through the
night and that's just optimalfor her.
For me, I gotta get my sleep andI'm more of an a morning person.
Okay, here we go.
The three pillars of a powerfulschedule.
The three pillars of a powerfulschedule.
By the way, if you're gettingvalue so far, drop a v in the
(24:51):
comments for value.
I read through all my commentsand it's always greatly
appreciated when you drop thecomments.
Also comment, share, tag someonewho can get value.
It all helps get the informationout there to the world, and it's
always greatly appreciated forthose of you who do share.
(25:12):
All right, here we go.
The three pillars of a powerfulschedule.
Pillar number one is clarity.
Clarity.
What do you want?
What do you want?
Clarity of intention is power,so you have to identify what you
actually want.
Next is what matters most rightnow.
(25:32):
So think about it.
Sometimes we'll focus on things, but these aren't things that are
super urgent.
They're actually things that youhave to get done right now.
So what do you want and whatmatters most right now?
Next is what's your one bigfocus?
What's the most important thingthat you have to put your focus
(25:53):
on, let's say throughout thecourse of the day?
Some of you, you're working onjust getting to the next level
financially and that one big FOfocus may have to be your
business.
That one big focus may have tobe sending out that email, but
what's your one big fo focus forthe day?
Pillar number two is simplicity, time blocking basics.
(26:18):
Blocking out time.
Many of you hear me talk aboutthe Pomodoro technique.
And the Pomodoro technique isreally great for productivity.
It's essentially blocking out 25minute blocks of time throughout
the course of the day to focuson one designated task.
And once the 25 minutes is up,you take a break.
Then you start another Pomodorodirectly after that, and this is
(26:39):
really good.
It can be cleaning up your home,it can be sending out emails, it
can be making quick phone calls.
It can be writing the pages of abook, journaling, prayer time,
whatever it is.
But time blocking basics areessential, and the Pomodoro is
one of the best time blockingproductivity hacks that I know.
Also, the three dailypriorities, the big three, as we
(27:03):
mentioned earlier, you have thetheme days.
Which helps with simplicity andthe weekly reset ritual.
So for me, my weekly reset isSundays.
I take Sundays off and it's mytime to just chill with my
family, focus on spirituality, things like that, and just not
do anything when it comes towork.
So it really does helpthroughout the week.
(27:26):
So just getting very simple, very clear on what your week
should look like.
Pillar number three isboundaries.
So you wanna, for example, protect your mornings.
This is big.
In fact, my business partnersknow if you're gonna reach out
to me first thing in the morningasking for something, please
start with a good morning.
It doesn't hurt, it's just toosimple.
(27:48):
Words start with a good morning.
There's just nothing like easinginto the morning.
And sometimes it, it's not themost pleasant experience getting
inundated with task or inundatedwith requests.
And someone not even having acourtesy to say, good morning.
So be that person to yourfamily, your friends.
(28:09):
And I know in some cultures it'sa little bit different.
So in New York, new Yorkers, welike to get straight to the
point.
But when you live in the south.
It's a bit different manners area lot more prevalent even on the
islands.
It's like you don't walk up inthat household without saying
good morning or good afternoon.
(28:29):
That's a big part of theculture.
So I believe in that big time, just start your day and whenever
you reach out to someone, theleast you can do is say, good
morning, good afternoon, thingslike that.
Next is learning to say no tolow value work.
Low value work.
Sometimes you guys will hear mesay, if it ain't a hell yes, it
(28:52):
should be a hell no.
And the there, there are manytimes where saying no is
actually more powerful thansaying yes.
And that's a big part ofproductivity is what you say no
to.
Having the power to say no,exercise your no muscle.
Oftentimes it's, there are a lotof people that, that suffer.
(29:14):
And I know because I've beenthere, where you suffer from the
disease to please, you wannaplease everyone, and you end up
saying yes to too many thingsand then you end up stretching
yourself thin, and then youwonder why you don't get ahead
in light.
So get really good at saying noto things, especially those
things that don't get you towhere you wanna be.
Next is removing time thieves.
(29:37):
It could be notifications,random calls.
Multitasking.
I know there are many timeswhere I'll put my phone on do
not disturb because phone callsare just distractions.
And I also eliminatednotifications from popping up on
my main screen because I noticedthat was a major distraction as
well.
So all of these different thingsare time thieves, so don't just
(29:59):
take anybody's call schedule intime for calls.
The most productive people inthe world are not just taking
random calls all throughout thecourse of the day.
Your family, your friends, they'll be able to wait.
Now, if it's an emergency, that's different, but they'll be
able to wait.
If you're doing something, you're in the middle of
something, don't feel like youhave to answer every single
(30:19):
call.
Next is communicatingavailability with clients, team,
family and friends.
Just letting your family andfriends know, hey.
The best time to reach me isthis time.
If you call me throughout theday, the odds of you actually
getting through to me, it'sgonna be slim.
So letting family and friendsknow, I, I always let my team as
(30:41):
well, I let them know Hey, ifyou have to get in contact with
me, try a message.
If you see, I know, messageback, send another message.
And if it's super urgent and youneed to reach me right away,
just try giving me a call.
And that's always been the mosteffective approach for me
because I get thousands ofmessages a week.
(31:07):
Hey, it ain't that.
I don't rest.
The fact that I get super busyand my inbox gets drowned out.
Okay.
All right.
Next we have building your HighPerformance Weekly system.
So this is your weekly method ofoperation.
Many times you guys will hear metalk about your DMO or your
daily method of operation.
(31:28):
This is your w mo, your weeklymethod of operation.
So step one is the big threewins for the week.
What are going to be your bigthree wins for the week?
It could be one business, onepersonal, one Health.
Just depends on what it is thatyou're working on in that
specific season.
(31:49):
So what are the three big winsthat you're going for this week?
Step two, your weekly map.
So you wanna assign each win.
A time block.
So you, if you have intentionson winning this week by going to
the gym at least three to fourtimes a week, then is it on your
calendar?
(32:10):
If you wanna win this week byreaching out to a certain amount
of prospects in your business, making a certain amount of cold
calls, whatever it's, then is itscheduled in?
If you're working on a book oryou are creating content.
Is it scheduled in?
And the big thing is to reverseengineer task into the calendar.
(32:31):
You guys hear me talk about thisidea of identifying that North
star, and then once you havethat North star, you always hear
me talk about reverseengineering that North Star and
breaking it down into practicalmicro goals that you can
accomplish weekly or even daily.
Another thing that you can dofor your calendar, and this is
something that I'm big on, iscolor coordinating your
(32:53):
different categories.
So if it's fitness or if it'scontent, clients, family, all of
that stuff, you can colorcoordinate it for me whenever
it's something that's superurgent, like business related
stuff, income producingactivity, it's color
coordinated, red and red.
No, like it means it's superimportant.
If it's not so important, I may.
(33:14):
Color it as blue or something,or orange or even yellow.
So color coordinating yourcalendar will clearly show you,
okay, these are the importanttasks.
So maybe the big three are inred and everything else is like
orange or yellow.
Step three is daily executionrituals.
So this can be something assimple as a morning setup.
(33:36):
Maybe you have your hour ofpower, first hour of waking up.
It could be 10 minute clarityreview.
Going over the schedule for theday.
It could be a midday reset, sothe midday reset can be five
minute refocus, or maybe you gofor a walk and go over the day
and just see what else you haveahead.
It can be a night shutdown whereit's just 10 minute reflection
(34:00):
on the entire day, what worked, what didn't work, what you
learned, what you have going onfor the next day, and you can
just remove unnecessary microdecisions all together.
What micro decisions did youmake over the last 24 hours, and
how can you remove those microdecisions for the next day?
Next we have how Schedulemastery creates a more balanced
(34:23):
life.
So you wanna break down balanceas alignment, not equal time.
So you guys may hear me talk allthe time that I don't talk about
all the time, that I don'tbelieve in work-life balance.
I believe in work life harmony,work-life balance is this idea
that everything is balanced, everything is equal.
(34:44):
Work-life harmony says, you knowwhat?
Some seasons I'm gonna be doubleor tripling down on my health.
Some seasons I'm gonna be in,get to the bag mode, meaning.
You're like super productive orgoing hard with your business or
your business launch.
There are gonna be other seasonswhere you're focusing more on
your family and the biggestthing is you don't neglect any
of those areas.
(35:05):
Some areas need more of yourtime and attention and other
areas you can sacrifice a littlebit of time and attention.
But it's work-life harmony morethan anything.
It's not equal time, so the ideais more presence with your
family.
Clear space for self-care.
You hear us say all the time,self-care is the best care, more
(35:26):
control over your finances.
Mental calm plus emotionalstability.
You'll hear me oftentimesrecommend going out for walks
just for your mental andemotional health.
Less scrambling, moreintentional living.
When you focus on alignment youhave an idea of how to structure
(35:47):
actually you know how tostructure actually creates more
freedom in your life when youcan have an idea of how to
structure all of these things.
You hear me talk about the fiveFs.
Faith, fitness, family, fortuneand fun, and how to
compartmentalize your day sothat you're giving enough time
to those five F's.
And that's my way ofcompartmentalizing it.
(36:09):
I like to think of it as havinga drawer with five different
drawers, drawer a drawers orwhatever, and you open up the
drawer and let's say that'sfaith.
And that drawer is filled withall the things that are
pertaining to your spirituallife.
So that can be going to achurch, ma, synagogue,
(36:30):
whatever's your thing.
It could be scripture, it can beprayer, meditation, going out in
nature, whatever it is,mindfulness.
Then the next one is fitness.
You open up that drawer.
What's in the fitness?
It's mental, emotional andphysical fitness.
So it may be going for that walkout in nature.
It may be.
Taking time to draw becausedrawing is very soothing for
(36:54):
you.
It may be tuning into somepersonal development, filling up
your cup, whatever that is goingout for a workout or doing some
stretching or some yoga, whatever it is.
But that's the fitness.
Then you have family.
When you open up that drawer, what's in there?
(37:25):
Stories, it's going out on the, okay.
And when it comes to fortuneencompasses also finances and
everything pertaining to how yougo about building wealth.
Super important.
So that's managing your budget.
Maybe you go through your budgetevery single week.
You see where your money isgoing, all of that also fun and
(37:51):
it's important to schedule ineven something as simple as fun
in your life, quality of life.
Maybe you schedule in thatvacation for the year.
Think about this.
Did you go on vacation thisyear?
If you didn't, my question toyou is, did you even schedule it
in for the year?
Did you block out time on yourcalendar for that vacation you
(38:13):
were gonna take?
Did you put much thought orplanning into it?
If you didn't, that's probablywhy you didn't take that
vacation.
Some of us are we have our, wehave things that are shoulds in
our life.
That should be must because youdon't get your should.
You get your must.
(38:34):
A lot of the times we're justsaying, oh, I should work out,
or I should go on that vacation,or I should go out on that date
night.
That's the reason why it doesn'thappen.
You get your must in life, soyou have to prioritize even the
quality of life.
I have clients, honestly I'llwork with them on peak
(38:56):
performance.
I'll work with them on theirbusiness.
I'll work with them on theirhealth.
But a lot of the times I'm justworking with them on
prioritizing fun in their lifebecause what's the point of just
going so hard with your businessor just working and grinding and
you have no quality of life?
So it's work life harmony.
Okay, next.
(39:18):
The elite of former mindset.
Mindset around time.
So you wanna think about yourpeak performance as like a
sport.
Sometimes it's good to look atyourself as an athlete because
athletes are very structured andorganized when it comes to their
energy levels throughout theday, their scheduling, their
(39:39):
performance, all of that.
And how are you going about yourcalendar?
Are you going about it as anelite performer or are you just
winging it?
So what do world class peoplebelieve?
First and foremost, one of thebeliefs is time is a reputation.
Think about that.
(39:59):
When was the last time youthought of your time as your
reputation?
So how you treat it tells theworld who you are.
When I started really valuing mytime, honestly, when I started
charging hundreds and hundredsof dollars an hour for my
services.
The first time I made hundredsand hundreds of dollars for one
(40:20):
hour of my time, my life changedbecause immediately it showed me
what my time was worth.
And my recommendation to you is,look, even if you're working a
job that's paying$15 an hour, you have to value your time ev
as if it's truly precious.
Think about this.
How much in your heart of heartsdo you believe your time is
(40:42):
worth?
If I were to ask you right now.
How much is your time worth?
If you had to put a dollaramount, what dollar amount comes
to mind today?
For a one hour speech, I charged$25,000.
That did something to the way Ivalued my time, and that's why
for me, it's not hard to turnthings down because.
(41:05):
Again, it's if it ain't a hellyes, it should be a hell no.
I'm not giving my time sowillingly because that time
could be used towards thingsthat are actually improving my
life and the life of those thatI serve.
So being very intentional aboutyour time and treating it like a
reputation.
Remember this, discipline equalsconfidence.
(41:28):
The more disciplined you are, discipline is a sign of self
respect.
It's a clear indication that youhave dignity, you have
self-respect.
When you're disciplined, yourlife is actually important to
you.
You value your life, that's whatdiscipline will do to you, and
it builds your confidence.
(41:49):
Another thing is consistencyequals excellence.
Any, anybody can be disciplinedfor a short burst of time.
I see people all the time, they're like, all right, new
year, new me.
Here we go, right?
And they're disciplined for fourdays and then the moment life
(42:10):
starts, life in that disciplinegoes out the window.
So consistency is the name ofthe game.
Discipline is the left hand.
Consistency should be the righthand.
They work hand in hand.
They work together.
This is a saying, I don't havetime.
That saying of I don't have timereally means it's not important
(42:31):
yet.
How many times are you justtelling yourself, I don't have
time?
And really it's just, it's notthat important to you because
there's a saying that if youwant something done, ask a busy
person, because busy people areso accustomed to just getting
things done.
And a lot of the times you'renot getting things done, not
(42:55):
because you're super busy.
It's just because it's not apriority.
It's not that important.
Remember, the most successfulpeople in the world don't work
harder.
They work with higherintentionality.
Intentionality, super important.
So I'll close out with this.
A scattered schedule leads to ascattered life, but a structured
(43:17):
schedule creates a structured FUfuture.
So I wanna recommend, for thoseof you who hopped on today,
