Podcast of the Wycliffe Global Alliance
An interview with James Poulter, consultant an AI expert who is working with a number of ministry organisations in determining the best uses for AI in kingdom work.
As we look ahead to the long-anticipated year 2025, Wycliffe Global Alliance Executive Director Stephen Coertze discusses the Alliance’s priorities for this year and beyond.
At a breakout session at the recent Global Gathering in Johannesburg, two leaders recounted how the Wycliffe Global Alliance made a challenging, sometimes-painful transition from its early days to what it looks like today. Kirk Franklin was the Alliance’s first Executive Director. Darryl Kernick was Australian Division Director and Board Secretary for WBTI, which would become the Alliance.
On the eve of the Alliance’s first Global Gathering since 2016, we spoke with two of the people behind this event, set for 31 October through 4 November in Johannesburg, South Africa. Agnes Lid is the Wycliffe Global Alliance Board Chair. Hannes Wiesmann, as Assistant to the Executive Director, has led the organizing and planning for the event.
Bible translation movements are seeing tremendous progress worldwide. As the Alliance publishes the 2024 Global Scripture Access statistics, we talk with Christy Liner and Terry Dehart of SIL's ProgressBible about what it all means.
God has used Vision 2025 in ways we never could have imagined. Here is a conversation with Dr. Bryan Harmelink, Director for Collaboration for the Wycliffe Global Alliance, about Vision 2025 and its impact on Bible translation movements and on the worldwide church.
A conversation with Hannes Wiesmann, Assistant to the Executive Director, about 2023's Global People Conversation that took place in four segments on four continents. Specifically, how these types of gatherings emphasise Alliance values by including a huge variety of voices to address common issues in the Bible translation movement.
Stephen Coertze, Executive Director of the Wycliffe Global Alliance, takes a thoughtful look at conversations and events planned for 2024.
