Fruit Salad, yummy, yummy! You may know him as the yellow Wiggle from the popular children’s music group The Wiggles, but I know Greg Page as more than just a great musician - he is quite an inspiration as well. In this episode of The Juice Podcast, Greg and I discuss his journey from being a roadie to the world-wide success he experienced as the lead singer of The Wiggles, but most importantly, we also discuss the major wake up call that inspired his new mission promoting the chain of survival.
Greg opens up about what led him to forming the organization, Heart of the Nation, which promotes businesses that possess AEDs (automated external defibrillators) and teaches valuable emergency response techniques like the ones that saved his life. In January of 2020, after a Wiggle’s reunion show, Greg suffered a massive heart attack that sent him into cardiac arrest.
Did you know that only 10% of people who have heart attacks even survive? We are so grateful to have Greg share the importance of life saving techniques like CPR, as well as the ways he’s learned how to respond to the things in life that can’t be controlled, and why you don’t want to ignore these signs from the universe.
You’ll also hear some other interesting tidbits like when at 19 years old, Greg joined Jeff Field, and guitarist Murray Cook, along with former Cockroaches band member and keyboardist Jeff Fatt, to combine their music backgrounds and teaching skills to form the Wiggles. Listen now to more about his journey that led him to have such an amazing career and life.
