In this episode, Matthew Newman tells the story of his brain tumor diagnosis and how he used that experience to inspire others. Now a speaker, author, and brain cancer survivor - Matt is a warrior who approaches life with optimism and perseverance.

But that didn’t come easy. He had to learn some of life's most basic lessons at the deepest and darkest of times. Although the universe had to remind Matt many times, he finally got the message that he needed to stop caring for everyone else before taking care of himself. In order to truly heal, he needed to fully live in the present moment, and he now passes that advice on to others.

Matt unpacks this paradox as he shares his change in perspective, the necessity of financial planning and preparation in advance of the bad as well as his deeper understanding of appreciating the now. He talks about planting seeds, shedding layers, and creating a strong mindset because he has been through it himself. The strength is deep within us if we know where to look, it just took a cancer diagnosis for him to see it.

He doesn’t want others to struggle the way he did so his mission is to equip his clients, friends, and followers with the knowledge and perspective needed for things like mindset management and even financial planning.
