with you.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
We're not too far
from that in the gaming world.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Sadly.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
You gotta like rent
these.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
It all started with
World of Warcraft.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Actually Skyrim, not
Skyrim.
It was Oblivious.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Skyrim only had two.
They had three expansions andthey were all worth the price.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
It wasn't horse armor
.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Five dollars it was,
and thus here we are.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
We don't need to go
down that rabbit hole again.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Not to open it up,
Gentlemen how we doing.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
We don't need to go
down that rabbit hole again.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Not to open it up.
Not to open it up, gentlemen, how are we doing?
We started playing or wecontinued last week with our
Baldur's Gate playthrough.
Correct, you did.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
You guys having fun
with that, we got some good news
coming from that, having a lotof fun we are.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Yeah, I learned you
can't throw a potion at a dog.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
You can't do that.
That scene is bad I guess, andyou guys, have you made up the
time for that?
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:26):
we did.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
We're back.
We didn't record it, but we gotto where we were and we ended
it.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Also, I've learned
what you're supposed to do.
Throw it next to them.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
So it splashes onto
them so it splashes onto them?
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Not at all.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
It's like taking a oh
because it does like one damage
when it hits huh.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
It does.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yes, it can, so
that's why.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
It's like saying
Billy, get drunk.
And then hitting you with thewhiskey bottle.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
But then you suck it
in after it hits, you Absorb it.
Yeah, what's?
Speaker 1 (01:55):
crazy to me is that
it was like everyone came to the
aid of the dog.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, they all
aggroed.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
They were like, oh
fuck that.
I don't care how much of arelationship we've had to this
point.
You're done.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I literally had just
and they were against me too,
and I was like, wait a minute,why I didn't do it?
I'm on your guys' side.
I was ready to have the wholecamp against Dylan, but no,
you're with him.
Yeah, you were the only onesthat seem to be able to speak on
free will.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
What a crazy game
design, though.
Like what if you did murdereveryone in that camp, like
you're?
Speaker 3 (02:33):
you would have to
then go out and recruit more
people well, I know, if theyhave the hireling system through
withers, which I don't thinkwith, did withers turn aggro?
I don't, I don't think so, Idon't, yeah, so he doesn't give
a shit about mortal problems um,and then I know they have the,
the safe thing of like willright, if you kill will he
(02:54):
explodes, I think is that right?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
I can't.
I've heard if he dies thatseems more like something that
would happen to um gail.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Or Gale.
I mean, I was like not.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Will.
I was like why is Willprotected like that?
No, gale explodes if he dies.
Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
That's what I've
heard, and he destroys all the
camp, or something.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
He's like a nuke, so
he destroys that part of Favern
Wherever you are.
He kills everybody.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Yeah, that's one of
the endings.
You could sacrifice Galeeverybody.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Yeah, that's like one
of the endings, you get
sacrificed Gale.
You can sacrifice him beforethen too.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah, true, Gale's
such an interesting weird arc.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
He invited me out to
go sit with him in the grass.
I'm like this is kind of, whatam I doing here, Will?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
This is kind of sus
Gale, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Can you romance him
as a man?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, you can romance
any character as anyone?
Speaker 3 (03:47):
oh really, yeah, they
don't have any, they're all no
gender and they're all, they'reall uh pansexual they're all
very easy yeah some more thanothers, gail instantly carlack
wants you right away.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
You just have to heal
her first.
But she literally like you haveone night where you're like, oh
, I think I kind of like you andthen like the the next day
Carlyle is just like.
In love with you Like, not onlythat, but she's like very
vulgar about it.
I could.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
She's like.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
I want to ride you
till you see stars.
You're like sign me up.
You're like Carlyle, and thewhole thing is she's basically
been fighting a war for 10 yearsand had no human contact, any
contact of any kind, like theValkyrie from Norse mythology,
right, gale?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
all you have to do is
sneeze in his direction and
he's like let me show you somemagic.
Well, what's funny is I didn'tknow what was going on the first
time.
Did you go?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
see the magic.
Well, because he's like no, Ididn't what was going on.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
The first time Did
you go see the magic?
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Well, because he's
like Well, no, I didn't, because
I looked it up Because I waslike, well, I want to go do this
thing with Shadowheart Becausethat's who I want to pick, but I
don't want to miss out on thatbecause she'll be upset.
So then I Googled it and I'mlike, oh, that's his romance
option.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
I was like he's
selling it to you, like I've
been working on this magic trick, yeah, hoping you can you know
and you know, you've noticedlike weird shit happening with
him.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
So you're like oh, I
kind of I really kind of want to
find that out.
And then I'm like, oh, he'sjust hitting on me have.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
I I'm pretty sure
I've sent that short that this
youtuber made where he's likeI'm trying to romance laizel.
And then gail comes up and saysI want to show you a magic
trick.
And I'm like, sure gail's myboy, I'll check out your magic
trick.
Let me go hook up with laizeland we'll meet up in a couple
hours.
And then I go to laizel andlaizel says I would want you if
(05:31):
you hadn't already promised yourbody to gail.
And I go what the fuck, gail?
Speaker 3 (05:37):
what is this?
Speaker 2 (05:37):
magic trick.
It's so funny that I didn't doit justice.
That guy did it way more funnythan I did, but that sums up
perfectly how easy it is to youknow.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Literally, I
literally had to Google it.
I don't want to make a misstephere and yeah, I'm like Well,
and at least Will you know allhis shortcomings aside.
Are you saying Gale or Will?
No, will, at least Will, allhis shortcomings aside, which
there's a lot.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Are you saying Gale
or Will?
No, will, at least Will.
All his shortcomings aside,which there's a lot, he doesn't
come on to you like that.
He kind of stays in his lane,he's incredibly boring.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yes, he's like the
most boring character and my
wife, who romanced him and herplaythrough, regrets it every
five seconds.
It's to to the point where, like she tried to get us to
restart like three times becauseGale has, I guess, like the
best romance scene, like all ofthe game.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
The magic sex.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, he like
literally casts you're like
flying through the stars and hecasts a spell to create multiple
of him and so, like, everyversion of him is doing
something else Jesus.
You know it's like it'sultimate pleasure.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Victory says, now
he's glitched.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah, now Will.
His question mark won't leaveno matter what we do.
It just pisses her off wheneverwe play.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Yeah, and I mean I
yeah, halston, did Halston come
on to you?
He came on to me and I was justbeing friendly to him and then,
all of a sudden, one time I gotalk to him, he's like maybe we
could get to know each other.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I'm like no, yeah and
then he gets all hurt.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
He's like, oh, I
thought, see, that's one of
these.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
And I'm like, okay,
bro if you reject them early,
they don't really care.
But halston must be different.
I don't know.
I don't, I don't know with him,because my first playthrough I
didn't get that chance because Ididn't fix the shadow land, the
shadow curse, and so he, heleft after act two.
He just went on his own.
And then my second playthrough,I just rejected him.
(07:37):
You can't take these things toopersonally, because you're
gonna hurt somebody in this game.
And halston, um, he's funny toobecause, uh, when tori and I
play together, we like we'll,we'll do every scenario, we'll
just have a backup save because,we're like oh, we want to see.
But halston like he will try andget with you even if you
(07:58):
already have a locked-in romanceyeah, I already had he's very
like he's, he's like polyamorousand he's like, as long as your
partner is okay with it I'm okaywith it.
He's very like there's a wholescene where he turns into a bear
and stuff.
And we've all heard the we've,all we've all seen that it's,
it's wild, literally yep.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
And then there's
minthara.
I know how to save her.
She's never come on to me.
Minthara is no.
I think you miss out on herroman, or you miss out on her
sex scene, but you can stillromance her somehow.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
I don't know if you
save her, if you save her and
you save the grove, see, and nowthat you say that you can
romance anybody, that makes merealize why I had some of the
dialogue that I did, because Ialways default to the nicest
thing to say to somebody.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
So it's like it
always leads to that that's
reminiscent like weirdconversations like no wait what
that's reminiscent of you inreal life, though, yeah, you
don't even realize everyone'shitting on me I've been led on
this whole time, this whole timeman out of the three of us.
If there was anybody that were,to, like you know, be hit on
(09:09):
like in the public, you would bethe one to be like what a swell
person and not even realizewhat was happening.
Uh, well, that it's, that's so.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
It's kind of like
blowing my mind right now
because it's like you, I wouldget into these weird dialogues.
You're like, wait, what thefuck like there's this big.
Well, that's so.
It's kind of like blowing mymind right now because it's like
I would get into these weirddialogues and you're like, wait,
what the fuck Like there's thisbig burly man.
And I'm like a dude, like whatis happening, what is going?
Speaker 3 (09:34):
on.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
It's called yeah
right.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Like I'm pretty sure
that dialogue that you're
talking about I went through andI had no idea that that's where
that was leading towards and Ithat that's where that was
leading towards, and I wasbecause it was just because I
think at that night you have thechoice to like.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
You do have the
choice to I don't there's
something with his.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Do it with him you
can flirt with him, but you
can't do anything that night, like the first night after the
the goblin, yeah it's just sostrange, but that that totally
makes sense, because I was likethere's, there was a handful of
times I'm like what the wheredid that fucking come from?
Speaker 3 (10:04):
but anyway, well,
it's so interesting, um, how
they designed each character tocome about.
Things like with carlack she'sthe only one that I've seen.
You know both sides is, um, ifyou, if you talk to somebody
else and accept their, theirrequest before talking to her,
(10:26):
she will like come on to youwhen you talk to her like she
like if she has high enough umyeah, like I was hoping it would
be me or whatever.
Yeah, but if you talk to herfirst, you're the one that has
to bring it up, otherwise theconversation does not lead to it
at all, and I thought that wasinteresting because it's like
you have the same approval.
It it's real life.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
It's real life.
She thought you were escapingfrom her clutches Her clutches.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Like the devil, she
is.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Yeah, so Baldur's
Gate 3.
It is definitely like andthat's actually been a critique
is because they have written allthese characters to just be
able to be with anyone.
It kind of takes away from theuniqueness of these certain
traits, like if you were gay orstraight or what have you.
The argument is that it kind ofdiminishes the value of love or
(11:28):
whatever that's.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
That's what I've been
, you know it.
I could imagine how much moredifficult it is to probably
write, because now thatcharacter has to have so many
different romance options andand the scenes that they have to
then animate and stuff on thelines too.
Holy shit, that's a whole lotmore like you just doubled
everything yeah, her versus him.
(11:50):
Yeah, that's what I mean, likeyou're, you have to like almost.
I could kind of see that kindof where, like you, you can
write a character to have, youhave like this vision for this
character, right, but then being, if you make that design choice
to sort of be open to anybody, now all of a sudden you have to
like almost break that illusionof what that character is for
(12:10):
you a little bit, to write itlike using the different terms
or you know whatever, althoughmaybe the romance options aren't
that, I don't know.
I think that's actually a bigpart of why people enjoy this
game is they do feel like theycan I would say love with these
characters and get immersed,Right, I mean I.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
I joke about it, but
I like a good romance in my
games.
But it's not like the primarydriving, but like I do if it's
like a badly or poorly writtenromance, that does like make me
cringe, like um.
So I do like yeah, but likelook at liara and tally, tally.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Like we have so much
of a debate and online there's
so much of a debate of you knowwho to choose and stuff like
that, so like I would say a hugeportion of the this sort of rpg
audience that plays these gamesto really get immersed in their
character 100 yeah you knowlike that's.
so it's just probably thatthat's a lot more work.
That's kind of crazy Because itwas sold as a game that has
(13:08):
like 178 hours of cut scenes, right, which is just
phenomenally crazy.
To me that seems like a lot butit's very possible.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
I mean, they could be
very minor, they could be very.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Like your one offhand
conversation with an NPC.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Altogether, I don't.
I mean, I've played throughpretty much, beginning to end
the game like four times, andI've experienced very different
things 174 hours of cinematicsIn Baldur's Gate 3.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
According to Reddit,
Wow, that is crazy.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
More than twice the
length of every season of Game
of Thrones combined.
I don't really know.
Imagine the script.
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Like what do we got
here?
Speaker 3 (13:53):
I know, that would be
huge Wow.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
That's probably like.
They probably polished thegameplay years ago and they were
just trying to finish this.
Could you imagine that?
174?
Speaker 3 (14:07):
hours of cinematics.
It was Kickstarter, earlyaccess, so it was probably out.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Baldur's Gate 3 was a
Kickstarter.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Are you sure about
that?
Early access?
What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (14:20):
It was a Kickstarter
that turned into early access
and then but Larian Studiosstarted the Kickstarter.
I don't know.
I can look it up, but I'mguessing they did it sounds
familiar.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
That seems crazy to
me Because they were pretty.
I mean, they weren't big, butthey were.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
People talked about
Divinity 2 as the best CRPG of
all time, but that also had avery small, I feel like, niche
crowd.
It wasn't.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
But they still had at
least what 100 developers on
Baldur's Gate 3?
This?
Speaker 2 (14:56):
goes into that.
When we've had thosediscussions on what makes a AAA
game AAA, you know like it'ssuch a who knows where that line
really is.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
AAA is how much they
waste money.
How much goes to the directiveteam that did nothing.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
That didn't talk
about the game Okay, x-men 97.
That's a transition.
I like Ruthless Raw.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
No filter.
Xless Raw no filter, no filter.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
X-men 97.
So if you're a Marvel fan andyou haven't watched X-Men 97,
you're doing yourself adisservice.
You're an absolute loser.
You're a loser and you shouldjust accept that.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
I'm just kidding.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Partially, partially.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
X-Men 97 is.
I'm not going to lie to you,it's probably my favorite
cartoon ever and it's probablyin my top three Marvel programs,
like Marvel TV shows, movies, episode 5, and it's halfway done
(16:12):
.
There's still five moreepisodes.
Episode 5 had such a profoundimpact on me that I felt
identically to the way I feltwhen I watched Avengers Infinity
War Jeez Wow when AvengersInfinity War, jeez Wow when
Avengers Infinity War ended.
We all know how we felt withthat snap in Thanos 1, and you
were like what the fuck do we donow?
(16:33):
I had that exact same feelingand this has been just a true
joy to watch.
I am incredibly on the edge ofmy seat on like where it's gonna
go because they've set up somany like really good things
after this bombshell of amid-season.
(16:55):
I guess you can call it amid-season finale, because the
sheer impact of what happenedseason five or episode five.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Was that episode five
, and how many episodes are
going to be in season?
I think 11, oh shit 11.
Are they taking a break for afew weeks?
Speaker 2 (17:07):
no, but okay, just
the gravity of what happened in
episode five.
It was like it could haveeasily been a season finale for
any other show.
Um, if this was live action, there'd be no doubt in my mind
that people will be talkingabout this as the greatest thing
marvel has ever done, like byfar no shit.
But because it's animated, there's always going to be that.
(17:29):
You know it's animated, thatknock, but it's leagues better
you there we go, testing, we'reback.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
All right, it just
dropped real quick um the
research I did.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Divinity 2 was a
kickstarter.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Baldur's gate 3 was
not baldur's gate 3 that seems
more in line was early access, though um they released it in
early access but yeah, um, youdon't need to watch, uh, the old
cartoon, even though this is alike a direct continuation of um
, we, we have audio yeah, we'regood okay yeah, um, you don't
(18:50):
need to watch, uh, the oldcartoon to understand this.
You just need to know enoughabout x-men to understand who
the x-men are some of the basecharacters.
If you've even watched themovies, you'll know enough about
x-men to understand who thex-men are some of the base
characters.
If you've even watched themovies, you'll know enough about
x-men to be fine on the show.
Um, they developed it with thethought in mind that the people
(19:11):
that watch this in the 90s arenow in their like 30s and 40s.
So it's not they don't.
It's not.
It's not like kids couldn'twatch it.
But it's not written with thatin mind.
It's written like intelligently.
Uh, they don't shy away fromcharacter deaths.
They don't shy away from hardtopics.
Um, and I'm just I'm immenselyhappy that this has been as good
(19:35):
as it is.
Uh, if I were to rate episodefive, it would definitely be a
10 out of 10, and then everyother other like the first two
is like a 9 out of 10, thirdone's like 8, and then the
fourth one was like a 7 out of10.
It was the weaker of theepisodes for me, but they're all
like great, I'm super excited.
What's gonna happen?
I hope that you guys give theshow a chance before it ends.
(19:56):
Uh, but it does release on aweekly basis, so it's maybe.
I don't know if you want towait until it's all out and then
just binge it.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
I watched the first
20 minutes of the first episode.
I couldn't get into it.
It was the animation style ithad nothing to do with, I don't
know.
It honestly felt like becausethe show's rated G right.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
I think it's rated G.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
I felt like it was
very in the 20 minutes that I
watched it okay, I'll preface itwith that I felt like it was
very G-rated, like it feltG-rated and I hate, I couldn't
get over it.
I couldn't get over it at all.
It was when they talk and theirmouth, just it's two frames,
(20:40):
it's open and closed.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
I didn't feel like
there was any and it just felt
like a thing right out of the90s and I was like I mean I was
20 minutes in and I was fuckingso bored and I was like I can't
do it, so I had a feeling thatyou would not be a fan of the
animation, but you are verywrong when it comes to the g,
that's, it's g g rated.
Like characters are literallygetting murdered in episode five
(21:03):
, like there's a whole like oh,episode five is I mean episode.
You've had a hard on two anepisode like what is the rating?
Let's see, it's probably likeyeah, I don't, I maybe the first
episode in, like maybe thefirst 20 minutes might feel it,
(21:26):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
It literally reminded
me of like uh, yeah, it
reminded me of like stuff that Ihad seen in the 90s, where it
was just like, yeah, we're ateam, right, buddy, and I just I
don't know, I know that that'slike super.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
I can accept the
animation argument, but that
argument is really bad, Icouldn't get into it.
That argument is really bad.
But to each their own.
I couldn't get into it.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
If you don't want to
watch it if you don't watch it,
that's fine.
Oh, who's the visor guy Cyclops.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
Cyclops he was kind
of uh, he was kind of tuned up.
That was kind of cool.
He was like really powerful.
He had like the first episodelike uh they take him off.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
They take off his
glasses and and he's like, oh no
thanks and then, like, blows upthe whole building or whatever,
because I guess he's like waymore.
I guess the glasses focuseslaser sight or whatever it's
just he.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
So he suffered a head
injury when he was a kid, which
originally his powers weresupposed to be able.
He could just do that at will, but now they just go off all the
time.
So all the visor does iscontrol how much he like lets
out his optic blast, becauseit's constantly on so it could
be zero, or he can't not havesome type of diffuser so he can.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Even so, with the
glasses on, he can be.
He literally could still do 100.
If he just takes his glassesoff, then it's zero or he can't
control that he can only closehis eyes?
Speaker 3 (22:52):
to stop, but that's
it.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Okay, it's always on
it's always on and it's because
when he was a kid he suffered ahead injury that fucked him up
basically.
So if he was at his full power,he'd be able to turn it on and
off at will.
Okay, well, that's to eachtheir own.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Yeah, I will try.
I'll probably pick it up whenit finishes to see how the
ending, how strong the ending is, because I have seen online how
powerful it is.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
I do think that if
the animation, that's not going
to get any better.
So if you don't like that, itis what it is.
But if you feel that you aren'tliking it because it's too, I
don't know, 90's Power Ranger, like that, is not something that
really.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
That's not what you
feel from that.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
That's not what I get
at all you might get that from
the first 20 minutes.
Well, it was just team building.
But there really isn't anythingthat even happened in the first
20 minutes Nothing, I know.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
And, believe me, I
sat down.
I was like, all right, openmind, enjoy this, Try it out.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
But the two-frame
mouth talking I'm just like I
can't fucking get over it.
I like the animation betterthan Invincible.
I feel like Invincible For somereason.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Invincible.
It annoyed me this much.
But this one annoyed me thismuch for whatever reason, and I
don't know why.
I can't even put a finger on it.
It just did.
I don't know if it's somethingwith my eyes I don't know what
it is but I was watching it andI got 20 minutes in and I was
fighting the urge to just fuckoff on my phone.
I'm like, why am I?
Speaker 2 (24:30):
I almost don't want
you to watch it then because
I'll just be upset.
I just a part of me is justlike don't watch it.
If you watch the whole thingand you're like, no, I didn't
like it, I probably will getupset, and I don't want that to
become a thing between us asfriends.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
You didn't like X-Men
97.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Episode five was the
worst thing I've ever.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
But I mean people, uh
, people online are pretty much
in agreement with me that thisis the best thing Marvel's done
in years.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Part of the reason
why.
So you said it was written forthe idea that, like these people
grew up with these characters,is there a lot of fan service to
a lot of the comics.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
A lot of fan service
to the comics.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Okay, but also like
comics.
A lot of fan service to thecomics, okay, um, but also like
because this is set in, this isset in the mcu, or totally
separate.
No, no, it's.
It's not mcu, it's set in the90s.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
It's set in the 90s
but not the 90s mcu yeah but
it's not.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Um, well, technically
it is.
So the reason I say that isbecause the watcher shows up in
episode five.
He literally shows up, he looksat everyone and then bounces
and it's like just a very shortlike and that's supposed to be
your cue.
That, oh shit, something crazyis about to go down when did we
see the watcher?
Speaker 1 (25:54):
was that only in what
if?
And?
Speaker 3 (25:56):
well, I guess, uh, in
guardians 2 there was yeah you
know, but the watcher has beenwatching everything I don't when
he shows he's in the astronautsuit.
He's like you guys can't justleave me here, or whatever he
says oh yeah, okay the the yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Yeah, there was three
of them, though, right yeah, it
was just like his race, but notnecessarily the.
Watcher Is the Watcher a he.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
I don't know.
They all look the same.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Yeah, I don't know
what they are, I don't know.
So he shows up, so basicallyright before all the shit that
goes down goes down, his shadowis in space and you can see him,
and then it fades away.
So that's the only thing thatthis.
Not that they're ever gonna tiethis into the mcu, but that's
(26:45):
like basically them saying thatthis is a multiverse somewhere
is because the watcher observedthat you sure it's not airship.
It's definitely not airship, yeah, but they got cable in it.
They got this clone saga thinggoing on.
They got Magneto trying to be agood guy, but he's not very
(27:06):
good at it, but he's tryingbecause of his friendship with
Charles.
Professor X is dead right offthe rim, other people die.
Other people die.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
I've read the spoiler
.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
I don't think that
you guys really even care at
this point.
You don't care if I tell youthe spoiler.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
You happened upon it
or were you looking?
At a place that you wouldexpect to happen upon it.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
It said X-Men is
spoiler and I clicked it.
Yeah, exactly.
It was on the Marvel memes.
I clicked it and I was like, oh, there you go, sure.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
It had the spoiler
tag on it too, so I it.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
I was like oh there
you go, sure it had the spoiler
tag on it.
Yeah, so I had to click it.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
I knew I was getting
a spoiler, but yeah, all right
do you, I mean, do you guys?
Care no, if I okay, so spoileralert, if you're, you're
watching this.
So episode five they go togenosha, which is like um it's
an x-men island or the mutantisland?
it's about like the size ofhawaii, like all the islands put
together, um, and it'sbasically it's a, it's an
independent nation that wasformed by charles and magneto
(28:07):
and, um, it is like a placewhere mutants can go to be free
of persecution.
The whole thing is that theyare, in the very first episode,
the x-men.
They take out Trask and hisSentinels and it's a bit of a
big deal because they've beenhunted by these Sentinels for a
(28:27):
while and they finally get Traskand it's this whole thing and
they think they've won, and thenit just opens up more and more
problems.
Then, eventually, they makethis push to get involved with
the UN.
The UN finally starts torecognize Genosha as a country,
and then we don't know who orhow this happened.
(28:48):
We don't know how it'sorchestrated, but this crazy,
insane, powerful Sentinel couldbe from the future.
It's hard to tell becausethere's not really anything that
has this level of power thatexists currently shows up and
fucking mercs, genosha, literally, like it's like
(29:08):
slaughtering, like mutants aredying left and right and it's
like reminiscent of like theholocaust, and magneto has a
personal stake in that,obviously, obviously.
So he becomes, he's fuckingraging, he like uses his powers
to pick up a whole train andhe's like using the train as
like a whip to fight the giantSentinel.
(29:28):
It's crazy, like they're tryingto save everyone.
There's like this like leadingup to it.
There's like this love trianglestuff between Rogue, magneto
and Gambit, because I guess thatactually happened in the comics
.
I had no idea.
It's a little weird becauseMagneto's old but in the comics
Magneto, he did transfer hisconsciousness into a young
(29:52):
person, so that's basically whyhe's still yoked, even though
he's old.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
Not only that, he
transferred not only his
consciousness, but like hispowers too.
I think it was a youngerversion of him.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Okay, and he like,
because it was like this whole
multiverse thing, um.
So, even though they don't saythat's what happened in the show
, if you read the comics, apparently you just know.
That's why he's still jacked,because even though he's like
you, know 70 or whatever he'sgot the body of like a
40-year-old.
(30:25):
But anyways, that aside, soMagneto, he, you know, he has
this whole thing where he's likenever again and he goes and he
starts saving people and he'slike wrecking shop, but then he
gets attacked and he gets thrownagainst like this rubble and
he's got like all these likekids, basically that he's like
(30:46):
trying to save and he's takingon like the full blast of this
giant sentinel and he's likedoing everything he can to stop
the blasts and he like looksaround and he realizes he's not
going to make it.
And so he like looks at the,the young mutant, and he's like
don't be afraid, child.
And then boom, dead, just killshim and he's dead.
And then so rogue startsfreaking out and she starts
(31:07):
flying towards him.
Gambit saves her and like getsher out of the way.
He goes and he starts fightingthis giant sentinel and then he
gets stabbed with like this rod.
It goes right through him andthen, like in his last breath,
he charges up.
He charges up the, the rodthat's in him, and blows the
Sentinel up, cause his powers is, he can like overcharge things,
(31:29):
and then he dies.
So that's how they solved thelove triangle thing.
They just killed off bothpeople that she was like
attracted to Um and at the wayI'm describing it doesn't really
do it justice.
It's written and performed insuch a way that like it really
makes you feel like it reallymakes you feel like how you feel
at the end of Infinity War,like we just lost, basically.
(31:54):
And so I'm almost like you knowI get they could do like a time
travel thing, cause cableshowed up for like a second and
he like ran to Jean and he waslike like you could tell he was
like not again, kind of thing.
So it's like maybe he's stuckin a time loop where he's trying
to stop this and it keepshappening and I that'd be kind
of cool if they did that.
(32:14):
But, um, if it's, it's basedoff of the comic which is called
e is for extinction.
In that comic, magneto survives, but the ultimate outcome is
they can't figure out a way tokeep gambit alive and still win.
So a lot of people are like Ithink gambit's probably perma
dead now.
Um, so it's just stuff like thatand it's just not like a kid
(32:38):
could watch it, but it's not,it's not really geared towards
that and so, like, I think ifyour fear of like it being too
adolescent to enjoy is there, Iwould probably say that would be
alleviated.
Um, like easily in this episode, but there are other episodes
that deal with much darkerthings.
The only episode where whereI'm like.
(32:59):
I'm like, okay, I mean, thiswas just kind of filler, just a
fun little episode, was episodefour, and it wasn't bad by any
means, but it was like you knowmojo and the comics yeah so it
was like that and where he likehe brought jubilee into like a
video game and it was like itwas just kind of there for like
fun.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
It wasn't like.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Comedic relief.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Yeah, it wasn't like
it was kind of filler.
But yeah, I guess I'll stoptalking now because I was
ranting for the last.
No, keep going.
So that's where we're at.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Oh, yeah, so next
episode is coming up, so we're
not even technically halfway.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Yeah, when did the?
Speaker 1 (33:33):
episodes come out
Wednesday night.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Wednesday night,
wasn't it?
Speaker 2 (33:40):
yeah, yeah seems
consistent with the design.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
I hope it keeps the
steam, I hope it keeps that that
level of quality because, um,it would suck if it started to
just go down just dip after thatyeah, but I mean I, I felt like
reception has been superpositive disney fired the
showrunner, the guy that wroteuh, the whole first season and
second season oh
Speaker 2 (33:58):
and he's been very
quiet about it.
He hasn't said why.
Uh, no one really knows whathappened and the first time he
talked since he got fired was hewas talking about episode five
and he said this was the episodethat I wrote to pitch to marvel
um the idea of the show, andthis is the episode that made
them say let's do it.
(34:19):
And he talked about it a littlebit, but I don't know what.
No one knows what he did.
But they let him go and the factthat he's not.
Maybe he signed an NDA orsomething, but it's kind of
weird.
But people are already likebring him back.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
It's too good.
Yeah, so first and secondseason.
You know like they're too good.
Yeah, so first and secondseason.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
He wrote already yeah
, and the first and second
season are done and they justconfirmed there'll be a third,
but it's not going to be withhim, so I don't know.
They're done as in, they'realready animated and everything,
I think no I don't thinkthey're animated.
I think that it's it's writtenand it's like concrete on what
they're going to do, okay, but Idon't think it's like that it's
been like animated anything.
So yeah, I don't know what thatdrama's about.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Has Disney done more
than two seasons on?
Speaker 3 (35:05):
any of their.
Mcu shows Loki no two, oh, morethan two.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
That one was weird
because COVID hit and that's why
they split it.
I don't think they evenintentionally meant to do that.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
No, they did, Because
Loki was only going to be the
first season, but it was sopopular that they made season
two.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
I thought I was
reading somewhere where they had
a cut filming, and so that'swhy they did a season one and
two.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
Because of COVID or
whatever, but I might be totally
wrong Because Loki came out in2021?
Yeah, yeah one, and then seasontwo, 23.
I think, at least, yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
It's been.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
They've done a lot of
shit on Disney+, but they're
slowing down.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
I mean, we have
Daredevil Born Again.
It's going to be 18 episodes,and then I don't know of
anything else that we've gotcoming TV show-wise.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
I think Feige's
retreated back to rethink
everything.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
They should have done
that a couple years ago.
Yeah, they should have donethat.
After like Eternals Not that Iactually liked Eternals Is
She-Hulk getting a second?
Speaker 1 (36:26):
season.
There's no way, right, there'sno way.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
So I actually I'm a
defender of She-Hulk up until
the season finale.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
It was good I
actually liked.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
She-Hulk.
I thought it was good, but theyjust undid everything on that
season finale.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Broke the fourth wall
.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
They broke the fourth
wall in a way that just felt
cheap.
It didn't even feel like.
It felt like there was nopayoff on anything.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
It was just because
they broke the fourth wall in
and admitted like we don't knowhow to write ourselves out of it
or something basically thereshe was explicitly say that
basically she was like what thehell like?
Speaker 2 (37:00):
who's writing this
shit?
And then she like runs and shegoes to the, the like
headquarters and there's a robotcalled kevin which is like
joking.
Kevin feige, that's like, writes all this stuff and she
like changed it or whatever.
But it just felt like all ofthat build-up to the final
episode deflating was like fornothing, because it didn't
(37:22):
matter.
She acknowledged she was likewell, this doesn't make any
sense and they just like changedit and so it was, I guess,
funny.
But it made it so where, like, every episode that built up to
that really had no effect onanything and there was no payout
for anything well, and I, Ithink, the best part about it
was when daredevil was yeah, Ithink fourth wall breaks are
(37:44):
best when they're done sparingly, like deadpool are good, in my
opinion.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
His little comment to
the camera.
That's all you need.
It's like he knows you're therewatching this, but it doesn't
have to be them going meta andbreaking into the studio.
I get they've done that in thecomics, but I think it works
better in comics than it would.
I don't've done that in thecomics, but I think it works
better in comics than it would.
I don't know, no Cause there'sso many comics versus this.
(38:12):
Was she Hulks?
Speaker 2 (38:13):
I mean in theory, if
she could do this and she Hulks
most powerful person in all ofthe MCU cause like change the
story.
Yeah, like I don't know.
I I likedHulk when it was themoments it took itself seriously
in.
I thought it was good, but Ijust didn't like it.
(38:34):
Like I said, that ending justfelt cheap to me.
I think there was better waysto do a funny fourth wall break
at the end.
And because of that we didn'tget any payout.
Randomly they introduced Scarand the Hulk was like oh, this
is my son and it's like the fuck, he's like 18.
Like where has he been thiswhole time?
Like the age really fast, Imean.
(38:56):
I guess I don't know enoughabout scar to say why he's as
old as he is, but it's justweird, you know.
And then like the wholedaredevil thing is really cool,
but then like they made him.
And then like the wholedaredevil thing is really cool,
but then like they made him aromantic interest of her, which
I actually was fine with for themost part, but then it's like
it doesn't matter because he hasa new romance in his own show.
(39:17):
She's gonna get heartbroken andit's like, why even have that
thread, why even have that arcof daredevil hooking up with?
Who do you, and it wasn't justa one-night stand, because then
he was at Thanksgiving orwhatever it was he was at their
dinner.
At their dinner it wasn't a.
They're like, oh, it's just forhaving fun.
Like, no, he wouldn't have goneto that family dinner if it
wasn't a relationship.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Who's your, who's
your favorite Daredevil romance?
I like Elektra Elektra's.
You can't trust her.
That's the good part.
It's the juicy.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
That's toxic, Dylan.
It's juicy.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
It's like Black Cat.
You know, Juicy.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
You'd rather Peter
was a black cat than MJ.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Yeah.
All right well, at least once.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
At least once, that's
toxic, dylan.
If you can't trust the womanyou're with, then why are you
with her?
Speaker 3 (40:08):
I don't know.
Mary Jane breaks Peter's hearta lot.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Yeah, that might not
be a good comparison, but Gwen
Stacy, gwen Stacy.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
I will die.
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (40:21):
I think Peter Parker
could go burn down.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
I'm not talking about
Peter Parker burning alive.
I'm talking about.
I'm talking about do you thinkthat a relationship should have
a healthy amount of toxicity?
Because that's what he'sarguing right now.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
I don't know, man, I
don't know.
If it's a healthy amount, thenit's healthy.
I think there's always got tobe some certain what's healthy,
what's?
Too, far.
Yeah, I think there's got to bea certain tug and pull and
whatever the phrase is Push andpull in terms of how much you
can get away with and so you canhave some fun.
I don't know about any toxicity.
(41:05):
I don't know what you guys aretalking about.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
Black Cat or Mary
Jane.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Neither he should
just be a single simp his whole
life, or Talia, talia Al Ghul orCatwoman.
He was with Talia.
No, it was Batman.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
We're talking about
romance.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
You said Mary, Jane.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
Yeah, now we've moved
on to Batman.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Okay, Jesus Dylan's
the type of guy that if his
girlfriend installed a trackeron his phone, he'd be like she
just loves me.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
I would agree with
that.
Speaker 3 (41:50):
I'm not going to have
this.
I don't think I'd be like shejust loves me, that I would
agree with that.
I'm not gonna have this.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
I don't think I'd be
all right, I don't agree with it
but I'm like I don't hide Idon't either but I have a
tracker, the idea is uh it, it'ssecret.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Versus talking about
itly installing something on
someone's phone, versus saying, hey, are you cool if I put this
on your phone?
Speaker 1 (42:11):
There's a difference.
That's the difference, massivedifference.
Speaker 3 (42:14):
Yeah, secretly, I'd
be upset with.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Because I track my
wife all the time, we know where
each other are.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
She doesn't know,
though she doesn't know, she
knows now.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
But she wouldn't
install that on my phone
secretly.
Speaker 3 (42:29):
Electra would Electra
, electra would freaking.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
Insert a syringe with
a tracker device in your ass.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
Cheek that would make
me dare to vibrate to remind
you of her Ooh.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
It must have been
Electra that did this, ooh,
hello.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
I don't know, In the
show I liked her better than
Karen.
I liked their chemistry moreBecause she was hotter.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
That's why you liked
her better, eh.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
I don't even.
Yeah, I can't speak to that.
I think that Electra's good forDaredevil, but if I was.
Daredevil, Karen Page seemslike more of the.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
What about Punisher
and Daredevil?
Speaker 2 (43:19):
Together.
Imagine how rough Punisherwould be in bed.
He would punish you.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
Wow, what an
imagination.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
John, you've been a
bad.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
He kills you.
I've been a bad boy, dylan.
Why'd you go there?
Why'd I follow you there?
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
I think you let him,
and then he pulled it a little
bit and you fucking ran rightafter him.
I think you there, I don't knowI think you led him, and then
he pulled it a little bit andyou fucking ran right after him.
I think you threw out that handup.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
This whole
conversation Billy's been like I
don't even.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
I mean, we're fucking
going from one universe to a DC
and MCU.
Speaker 3 (44:04):
What one could Billy
actually know that we can think
of like that type of?
Speaker 1 (44:09):
romance.
Yeah, billy doesn't give a shitabout that.
Not at all.
Speaker 3 (44:12):
But maybe in some
type of show he likes.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
How I Met your Mother
.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
Firefly Is there
something in Firefly?
Speaker 2 (44:18):
Absolutely, ted and
Robin One of the most toxic
relationships of all time.
So Ted and the mother is likethe relationship that I'm for
ted and robin is therelationship that dylan is for.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
That's what we're
comes a lot of stress but
phenomenal sex.
Speaker 2 (44:44):
So it depends what
you're in for, boiled down to
his most basic.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
And there's year in
that Phenomenal sex.
You go years with drought, okay.
There's years when it's justnot working.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
Years, you start
crying.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
But the peaks are
high, the valleys are low.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
Ain't no mountain
high.
Speaker 1 (45:06):
No, have you ever
seen Firefly?
Speaker 3 (45:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
Do you even know the
way?
What Ain't?
Speaker 3 (45:12):
no mountain high
enough have you ever seen
Firefly?
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Yeah, do you even
know the way?
What the way?
Speaker 3 (45:15):
What do?
Speaker 1 (45:15):
you mean you asked if
there was a freaking
relationship.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
Well, I was trying to
think there's Miranda Bacar and
Nathan Fillion.
Yeah, but is there a third one?
I?
Speaker 1 (45:22):
don't remember a
third girl, it's River and her
brother, no God, in like a weirdway, kind of I love you.
What was his name?
I don't know.
He was like a doctor, I don'tknow.
Doctor brother elliot yeah butno.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
Malcolm and the
courtesan, they, they were good,
but there's no third one.
What I wanted to find issomething with like a love
triangle, you know.
Speaker 1 (45:54):
There was Wash and
Gina Torres, whatever her
character name was.
The redhead Wash.
Yeah, what's his?
Speaker 3 (46:04):
name Alan Tudyk Alan.
Speaker 2 (46:06):
Tudyk, who's in every
Disney movie ever?
Yeah, I can't name Alan Tudyk.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
Alan Tudyk, who's in
every Disney movie ever.
Yeah, hmm, I can't think of anyin Firefly.
Speaker 1 (46:15):
It's because you're
not really a fan the Witcher.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
It didn't go on long
enough to.
Speaker 3 (46:20):
Yennefer and Triss.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
Yennefer and Triss.
Speaker 3 (46:23):
I'm a Yennefer.
Speaker 2 (46:23):
Yennefer's'm a tris.
The toxic tris is the you couldargue tris is toxic well, okay,
carol doesn't even argue that.
Because if you talk to siriabout like why you chose tris
over yennefer, which youwouldn't have known, because you
didn't do that, she goes whydid you end up ultimately going
with tris?
and he's like with yennefereverything was a challenge,
(46:46):
everything was an argument, everything was you know,
everything was great everythingwas great, but there are
sometimes you just want to sitback and enjoy the moment you're
in, and with Triss I got that.
I didn't get that with Yennefer, and that's what he says,
something like that in the game.
So even Geralt says that Y hada phrase.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
That's just a little
toxic Triss gave him amnesia or
no he had amnesia and she tookadvantage of it and he had a
girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (47:13):
You wouldn't do that
if you're madly in love.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
No.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
You're welcome, made
it easy.
You're welcome.
You're welcome.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
Isn't that like great
?
Speaker 1 (47:23):
No, no, not if you
enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
He consented it.
No, no, not if you enjoy it.
He consented.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
It's not like he was
saying no, he didn't know,
though we're talking aboutmade-up characters, yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
Defending Yennefer.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
My love Yennefer.
100% story-wise makes perfectsense.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:50):
But as a human, which
Geralt is not.
He, he's a tortured human.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
I go with Triss we
disagree on our romantic options
.
Speaker 2 (47:58):
I'm starting to see a
trend.
Actually, liara is the exactopposite of that.
100%.
Liara is literally ride or die,the least toxic character.
Speaker 3 (48:08):
I don't know if there
even is a character like that
in mass effect ashley no becauseonce she's in, she's in she's
all in there's number two, whereshe well, because you joined a
terrorist group.
Speaker 2 (48:24):
I'm tired of all
these people like don't get me
wrong, I don't really likeashley or caden, but all these
people are like how could?
How could they do that?
That'd be like if you came inand you're like oh, by the way,
I joined isis and we're like Iwouldn't be like, well, I'm with
you, ride or die, buddy yeah, you know like that makes perfect
(48:45):
plot sense.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
But she didn't even
give him a chance to explain
Tally's with him.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
Yeah Well, tally is
the best.
No, then why'd you bring her upsubconsciously, you nuke.
Speaker 3 (49:06):
No, liara's better.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
Liara's too busy
spying on people.
All of Mass Effect 2.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
She found your body.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
Looking up weird CCTV
footage Of things and shit.
Speaker 3 (49:18):
That's what a Shadow
Broker's gotta do.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
Shadow Broker's gotta
snoop, gotta snoop.
Speaker 1 (49:22):
Liara found your body
, but she didn't put you back
together.
She gave you to the Elusive manwho put you back together and
like they needed that, if youhave the ability.
The fucking ship exploded.
Yeah, she didn't give up.
You didn't need the body.
If you rebuilt a human being, they didn't need the body she
didn't give up on you.
Speaker 3 (49:40):
Yeah, she shepherd is
literally bounced.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
She's not even a part
of the second game shepherd is
literally like 90 rebuilt, likethere's probably more there's.
It's like nothing of him, theshepherd that's in mass effect 2
and mass effect 3 is not theshepherd that's in mass effect 1
I was gonna say you can make anargument, it's the clone,
you're the idea is is hebasically died and the clone had
(50:03):
all the memories of previousshepherd installed.
So you know he's he's new, basically, and that that was
actually brilliant story had allthe memories of previous
Shepard installed.
He's new, basically.
That was actually brilliantstory-wise that they did that.
It makes perfect sense if yourandomly change classes between
1 and 2, because you're a wholenew Shepard.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
You choose a class in
3?
Or do they get rid of classsystem?
Speaker 2 (50:27):
No, you choose a
class in 3.
But in Mass Effect 2, there'sdifferent character sliders than
there are in Mass Effect 1.
And so my headcanon is he looksjust slightly different.
Unless you choose the defaultbecause he's rebuilt.
I never choose the default.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
I choose the default
now.
It grew on me.
I don't really like him thatmuch.
Speaker 2 (50:51):
He looks a little too
, calvin Klein.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
That's Shepard for
you.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
I need him to look a
little bit more rugged, make
some ugly.
Speaker 1 (51:06):
I literally couldn't
give a fuck.
Do you just do default?
I don't even know, there was anoption, I just hit play, all
right, it's a fucking storydriven game yeah, so you wanted
to look good, you know you don'teven see your face.
Yeah, in the cut scenes whichmost I'm.
(51:28):
there's a lot of cut scenes,yeah and Shepard's really
inspiring in those cut scenes.
Yeah, I should do that.
Wow, he sounds like an idiothalf the time.
He gives the most uninspired.
He's kind of I don't know.
He's kind of worthless.
He's so uninspiring.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
Commander Shepard is
worthless in Mass.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
Effect.
Speaker 3 (51:50):
I feel like he's just
like a pawn man.
You were such a.
Speaker 2 (51:52):
He's just a pawn.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
He's the only reason
the world survives.
Speaker 2 (51:57):
He is literally, he
gives the best speeches Mass
Effect 2, Mass Effect 3.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
You know they're he
gives the best speeches he does.
It's like five other charactersthat I think give better
speeches.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
The only other
character that gives a better
speech than.
Shepard is Morton.
Morton has never even given aspeech.
What?
Speaker 3 (52:13):
do you mean Right
before he dies, captain Kearhe?
Speaker 2 (52:15):
Kearhe is the only
character that gives a better
speech than Shepard.
Speaker 3 (52:19):
Morton sings before
he dies, but right before he
dies.
That's not a speech.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
No, no, no, he
doesn't sing that right before
he dies.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Yeah, he does, he
says yeah, he does.
Speaker 1 (52:27):
He sings that song
right before he explodes.
There's two differentvariations.
Speaker 2 (52:31):
Oh okay, there's a
variation where he says
something like New beginning forall and then he blows up, and
then there's a variation wherehe's singing that song, so you
probably got the other one.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
I think you have to
talk to him and you have to hear
him sing it.
For him to sing it later.
No, you probably didn't talk tohim at all.
Speaker 1 (52:51):
I did every.
I have 100% on that gameplaythrough.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
I doubt he talked to
people.
Speaker 1 (52:56):
I didn't the frat way
through the first game, because
you guys were like, oh, you gotto make sure you need to get
the pixels on the screen to befriends, and so I was like, okay
, I'll go chat him up.
Yeah, okay, there we go, we'llgo down there.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
And you didn't even
do that well, Because, like you
killed Rex.
Like you're like oh shit, rexdied.
I'm like you have to do just abare minimum with Rex Boom.
Speaker 1 (53:24):
Ashley shot his head.
Ashley burnt him.
Speaker 2 (53:28):
Some tough guy huh.
Speaker 1 (53:33):
I was like, wait, is
this going where?
I think it's going?
Yep.
Speaker 2 (53:36):
Bam Didn't get his
armor.
Rex is so critically importantto Mass Effect 2 and 3.
It's crazy to think you couldjust play with him dead.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
One of the best
characters, my favorite.
You killed him.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
Actually you can't
romance.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
You can have bromance
100%, you can take him to the
casino In Citadel.
As your date.
Speaker 1 (54:04):
You can.
I don't remember that.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
In the Citadel you go
into the DLC where you go to
talk to Elijah Kahn at thecasino and he's the arms dealer.
And then you get there and he'sshot in the head.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
You're doing a heist.
Speaker 2 (54:22):
You know why he
doesn't remember that it's
because he was like why am Ifucking doing this bullshit side
quest when I could be savingthe galaxy?
Speaker 1 (54:29):
I thought the Citadel
was just the party back at the
house.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
No, the whole thing
where Shepard has a clone.
Speaker 1 (54:35):
I don't remember you
don't fucking remember.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
In order to get to
the party, you have to do that.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
Dude.
Speaker 3 (54:45):
You can't do the
party until you.
Speaker 2 (54:47):
This guy blows my
mind.
Speaker 3 (54:49):
He's a gamer like no
one I've ever met.
You don't remember the clone?
Speaker 1 (54:52):
No, what the fuck?
A clone who clones me?
Speaker 3 (54:57):
That's the whole Plot
.
Is you have a clone?
Shepard has a clone.
Speaker 2 (55:03):
He was like farmed
for Parts in case Shepard During
his reconstruction.
Then he was just tossed outwhen Shepard was alive.
Is that where you're withGarrus?
Speaker 1 (55:17):
With Garrus
everywhere.
He's scouting the party for youNot the party, but it's like a
nightclub.
Speaker 3 (55:28):
Maybe if that's who
you chose as your like, you're
trying to stay hidden and youtry and stay hidden.
Speaker 1 (55:33):
I don't remember the
date.
Speaker 2 (55:34):
I've never brought
Garrus to that, so I don't know
what he does.
Speaker 3 (55:38):
You can bring your
love romance.
It's who I do.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
It's kind of like a
stealth mission, right.
Speaker 3 (55:43):
It's like a heist.
So you're in disguise, you'repretending to be just a party
goer.
Speaker 1 (55:49):
Because it's a mask
party, right?
No, I don't know what I'mthinking about then.
Are you thinking of the?
Speaker 2 (55:56):
Kasumi.
Speaker 3 (55:57):
But even that's not a
mask party.
Speaker 2 (55:58):
Yeah, I don't know
Mask party.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
It's been years.
Speaker 2 (56:02):
Are you thinking of
Witcher 3?
Speaker 1 (56:04):
When did the
legendary edition come out A
couple years ago three when didthe legendary edition come out a
couple years ago.
Yeah, that's the only time I'veever played years, but I only
played it once.
You guys have 400 hours, I have70, I feel like I think you
should play it again never Ifeel like I could remember
something.
Speaker 2 (56:18):
I only played once
definitely.
That's not how my brain worksno, because your brain is the
type that would be like hmm, this causes 20% damage input.
Speaker 1 (56:30):
If I were to just
yeah, I'd probably tell you a
skill rotation If I hit up downleft, right, right, right, left,
right up, down, right right.
Speaker 2 (56:37):
It's the perfect
rotation, and I have to do that
every 10 seconds for 40 minutes,Otherwise we don't kill this
boss.
Speaker 1 (56:45):
I don't know why.
I don't know why I'm like that.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
The lore reason
behind why we're killing this
boss?
Speaker 1 (56:52):
not a damn clue did
you health bars red, we go did
you do firewalker?
Speaker 3 (56:59):
did we make him do
that one?
Speaker 1 (57:00):
what's that one?
Speaker 2 (57:02):
the crappy flying in
mass spec 2.
I don't think that you would.
I don't think we had to do thatone.
Speaker 3 (57:09):
I hate that that
mission.
That's one of my favorite sidemissions and it's locked behind
that crappy car.
Speaker 2 (57:17):
The Overlord.
Speaker 3 (57:18):
Yeah, with the
three-point.
Speaker 2 (57:22):
Is he?
Speaker 3 (57:23):
reciting Pi.
Speaker 2 (57:24):
No, it's not.
Pi the square root of somethingis something.
Speaker 3 (57:28):
That's my favorite.
The square root of something issomething that's like my
favorite.
Speaker 2 (57:31):
They have that
autistic kid and they try and
upload his brain into a gethinterface.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
You don't remember,
is that something?
Speaker 1 (57:44):
That does vaguely.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
And at the end he's
like crying.
Speaker 1 (57:47):
He's like all hooked
up and his brother hooked him up
to it, and then you have thechoice right to like keep him
that way or reset him orsomething you have a choice to
free him yeah, I did this one orkeep him hooked up.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
Yeah, I think that's
it right.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
Yeah, I think we made
you do it.
We also made you do arrivalbecause you were like, oh god, I
have to do another dlc before Ido number three.
And we're like yeah, whichone's arrival, arrival is
literally the one where you blowup the mass relay to slow down
the reaper's arrival you're allby yourself and we're like, if
you don't do that one you don'thave to but it's so important to
(58:23):
the story.
But even you were like, yeah, Idon't even know how that would
make sense.
If that didn't happen, itwouldn't.
Speaker 3 (58:29):
At all.
Next game you're in jail.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
For no reason.
You're like what Well, youjoined Cerberus.
So I guess there's still areason.
That's for 3, right, and theway they explain it in Mass
Effect 3,.
If you don't do, arrival is theAlliance just did that.
They sent a team, the Alliancesent a team that blew up the
relay.
But it feels less personal,yeah.
Speaker 3 (58:52):
So we did make you
play Overlord and Firewalker.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
I'm pretty sure I did
everything.
Speaker 3 (58:57):
That's damn.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
I watched him like
every night for at least a week,
a couple weeks maybe.
Speaker 1 (59:06):
And you were like
okay answer this option.
Now you need to talk to thisperson.
I was like alright, alright,alright.
Speaker 2 (59:13):
And then literally it
was the funniest thing because
I was watching every single likeyou live, streamed everything.
And the one night that I waslike busy you text.
And you were like Rex is dead.
And I was like busy you textand you were like Rex is dead.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
I was like what the
fuck the one night where I was,
because I think I got that wasthe first game and I think I did
that one.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
I had played by
myself to that point and then,
when I texted, you, I waswatching and then, no, I
remember I was watching and thatwas the one night, I wasn't
watching.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
And from I remember I
was watching and that was the
one night I wasn't watching Fromthat point on Kyle, never
You're like.
I don't trust this guy I toldyou.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
I was like don't
forget to get the family armor,
because your charm isn't highenough.
Then you didn't, because youwere like I didn't think that it
was happening right then andthere it just came out of
nowhere.
Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
Well, mass Effect,
where can people find us?
Speaker 3 (01:00:12):

(01:00:37):

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):

remember you ruined it.
With a good kitty, you get thedub.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
Bye.
Guys, Bye.
