Before you can build a business, you’ve got to build belief.

This week I’m pulling back the curtain on a very special B Lab client of mine—Megan Goodman. Megan came in with a head full of ideas, a ton of passion, and (like so many of us) a little voice in her head that kept saying who am I to do this?

In this episode, we talk about what it really looks like to start from scratch—without a clear roadmap. From vision boards to brand kits, from big dreams to tiny first steps, Megan and I dig into how you move past self-doubt and start building something that feels authentic to you.

✨ What we cover in this episode:

  • Why belief in yourself always comes before the business plan
  • How to find your “first pin on the map” when you want to do all the things
  • Why changing your mind (again and again) is part of the creative process
  • What happens when you give yourself permission to start small—and grow from there

Megan’s story is proof that you don’t have to have it all figured out to take action. You just have to start.

Don't say I've never doneanything for you.
That's more of like a broadobjective.

(01:57):
I think what we have to figureout is what.
What's the first pin on the mapthat we're going to create in
order to start moving forward soyou can get that community?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
drawn to you.
I agree 100 percent and I'mprobably your most challenging
client.
No, because, because I have togo down a lot of avenues to find
my way.
I have to go down a lot ofavenues to find my way, but I

(02:32):
really feel like my originalidea when I was in the shower
having my brainstorming momentsbecause that's where they happen
I really wanted to bring like, have like kind of like a woman's
retreat experience day,whatever.
I think I told you about thisand then you kind of called it
maybe a soft launch typeexperience, whatever.
And I think I told you aboutthis and then you kind of called
it maybe a soft launch typeexperience.
And I think that between lovingto host, loving to entertain,
wanting to share dialogue withpeople and open up that door in

(02:57):
a comfortable way, that justfeels like a purposeful life,
you know, and I think that Iwant to start there and then see
where the next feeling takes meokay that's fine.
so crazy?
No, I don't think it's crazy atall.

(03:17):
Um, you know, planning anexperience, for maybe it's just
my friends at first, maybe it's10 girlfriends, and then maybe
through that experience andchatting with them, I can see
what feels right in my next step.
I like it, I really, becauseit's like I want so many things.

(03:41):
I want a podcast and I want Iwant to be making stuff on the
side of the road and I want tobe talking to people and I want
to hug people and I want to doall the things.
But it's like I just got tofigure out, ok, where how do I
start, you know?
And it's like for me, I think, yes, like you're capable of

(04:03):
seeing kind of like a bigbusiness plan.
I'm not capable of seeing that.
So I'm like what I am capableof seeing, though, is a very,
very small dot on the map, youknow.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
So now you're capable of seeing the dot on the map.
We just have to now decideRight, because I think so many
people listening right now willbe like oh my God, that's me too
.
I want a podcast, I want tobuild a community, I want to
make a difference, I havesomething to say, I have a light
to shine.
And then what'll happen isyou're like, oh wait, why me?

(04:38):
I suck, I'm not good enough,how do I start?
And then you have all the youknow there's all these things
like you come in here and yourfirst thing you want to do is
apologize because you'veiterated.
Yes, right so like for meetingto meeting.
You're iterating, you're acreative person and, like I told
you before, it's part of theflow, but at some point we have

(04:58):
to make a decision.
Yes, on the first tangible step, and this is what separates
most people, and I'm glad thatwe're starting with this,
because most people want to dothe things they want to, you
know, but they can't figure outhow to take that first tangible
step, and so that's, I think, going to be where we really need

(05:21):
to lean in?
Yes, in the next couple ofmonths, months because I think
we've pretty much looked throughevery corner at this point
right, and I I say that lovingly, I want that especially for
someone like you which will getinto how we came to be and and
you are such a special, beautiful, wonderful creature I
mean I can't even tell you howmuch I love you, thank you, but

(05:43):
you're full of all that stuffand so we have to vet it out.
Why would we push and try to,you know, make something happen
quicker than it's supposed tohappen?
So where you have seen like, oh, they think I'm crazy, I'm
changing my mind, I need toapologize because I feel
differently today than I didlast week.
I feel like good for youbecause the stuff's coming out,

(06:07):
yeah, yeah, and now I do believe, you know, I think we've got
everything on the table, all ofthe ideas You're like until next
week.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Well, I don't know what, I don't know what else you
would add yeah, Well, no, Imean cause.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
I keep no, but I think this last part that you
just said about having theretreat and the commute, Like I
feel like for you that's a safespace because and a lot of
people probably should thinkabout, depending on what you're
doing starting that way, Startwith your core and this nucleus,
the people who love you, andthey already know who you are,
and it's warm and it's welcomingand you sort of show and kind

(06:42):
of show and tell, like this iswhat I'm thinking about doing,
yes, getting the authenticfeedback, and then it'll build
your confidence and your beliefsystem even a little bit more.
Like, yeah, like, I think it's agreat springboard for you to
continue on this path that wehave started to create.
Yes, I'm very excited about it.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
I 100% agree and I'm very excited.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I 100 percent agree.
And I mean, the coolest thingis seeing how many passions I
have, that hobby to help impactothers and grow my own business.
You know, I think, I think thatwhat I'm, what I'm starting to
see take shape, is these quoteunquote hobbies, or let's call
them passions, those are allgoing to be aggregated and
funneled into this brand that isyou?
So, like you don't want to say, when you say hobby, it kind of
makes it sound like I mean, these are all really cool gifts
that you possess.

(07:53):
Yeah, that I think in total ifwe put them through.
I like to say assembly line, but that sounds too
business-esque for you yeah itdoes.
So let them flow through theriver.
Yes, that is your brand.
Is that better?
So that's what's going to makeit so unique, like a fingerprint
.
It's like you, it's going to beso you, and you can't rush this

(08:20):
.
And I have loved every moment ofthis process with you so far.
I mean loved it.
If I could have everyengagement feel this way.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Oh, my cup runneth over, I know, and I, I, I agree,
and I think for me it's beensuch a learning process of, okay
, I like this and I like that, and I want this and I want that,
and, um, I think it's been goodto kind of exhaust all avenues
before committing to just oneidea or one thing, because,

(08:46):
truthfully, I just want it all.
Yeah, I want it all and I want, more importantly, to just
become somebody that, um, otherslook at as a positive person in
their life that's that'sliterally all I want you know.
and if that means that we have agood conversation back and
forth, if that means that I yousomething, if that means you had
a good time coming over to myhouse, that's going to look

(09:08):
different for a lot of foreverybody, but I just want to be
somebody that positivelyimpacts others.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Well, I think you've already done that, but you'll
continue to do that with morepeople.
Yeah, all right.
So, megan Goodman, hi, welcomeofficially to the Keri Croft
Show.
Thank you, keri.
I mean, you're just so cute, you really are.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Look at you.
You're all put together.
I showered today that helps.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Let's let the folks at home know how the universe
brought us together.
Okay, let's do it, because Iwould be curious if I were
sitting at home like wait how?

Speaker 2 (09:41):
did you guys connect?
And every time I run intosomebody that knows you or
listens to you, they always sayhow do you know, carrie?
Um, give them the quick anddirty yeah yeah.
So I I actually, uh, wasinterested in podcasting and
kind of knowing more about thatworld and I reached out to a
friend of mine, zach Smith hey, zach, um.
And he said you know who youreally need to get in touch with

(10:04):
is Carrie Croft.
Have you ever heard of her?
I, zach, and he said you knowwho you really need to get in
touch with is Keri Croft.
Have you ever heard of her?
I said no, and he said, well, start listening to her.
And I did, and then I quicklyrealized, after one or two
episodes or your shows, Ithought, okay, I need to like
actually connect with thisperson because she's exactly
what I need in my life to kindof get myself to the next level.

(10:26):
So I just reached out and yousaid jump on my calendar.
And I did, and we had a Zoomcall and I was super nervous and
it's kind of funny becausetoday I'm really honestly not
nervous, which is a really bigdeal for me Growth, very big
growth and you just made me feellike you were going to be able

(10:50):
to be such a bright light in mylife and we've just connected
ever since.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Yeah, so let me take it from there on this part.
So we have a Zoom call.
You appear on the screen and ittook me like 10 seconds to know
I was like this girl's special.
I knew it.
And listen, I don't.
I'm not just here to takeeverybody on and blow smoke up
people's asses, like that is awaste of my time and everybody

(11:17):
else's.
But I know what I know when Isee it and I don't know how best
to describe.
There's something inside of methat is sort of a recruiter, or
I have something inside of methat I can really quickly
determine something special andunique in another human being.
I just it's just in me, and soyou start talking.
I'm looking at the background,I'm I'm like I'm just like

(11:39):
figuring everything out that'sgoing on, and then how?
You were kind of selfdeprecating and kind of doubting
yours.
You just had this whole thinggoing on, where I was like, okay
, what is going on with thisgirl?
Like I love her, I need to knowmore.
Well then, what really intriguedme, though, is the fact that
you did start a business duringCOVID that was highly successful
and that was impressive and itreally did kind of push me over

(12:03):
the edge initially to want towork with you, because I'm like,
okay, here you have this personwho really needs some mindset
growth and really needs tobelieve that she's as great as
she is, which I can definitelyhelp you with that but she also
has some business chops, becauseshe's done it and she did it
well.
But what I really loved is thefact that you had the successful

(12:26):
thing you were doing.
You decided to stop doing it,yes, and then, instead of even
trying to like sell it or do anykind of business type thing
with it, you want to keep it,and so you just don't realize
how special that is.
Like coming from where I, that, where I sit, no one like that
doesn't happen, and at minimum, somebody's going to try to like

(12:48):
sell that, make some money foryour, your intentions and who
you are is they're so pure, yeah, and you truly do want to like
go back and like take the littlegirl that you were and kind of
like be, be this person now, for, like, you just have a very
special thing, oh well thank youfor saying that in me, Carrie.

(13:09):
It's true.
I mean, and that's why we'vehad this really, I think, so far
, just beautiful ebb and flowand, of course, with Kate here
yes, kate Adding a really greatpart to it.
So, and just to tee people upwho are listening, the
engagement that you have withthe B-Lab right now is like an
ongoing consultant, so you're soyou're a little bit different

(13:29):
than some of the other peopleI'm working with right now.
Um, so I've been able to reallykind of have this slow burn
opportunity with you to build abrand, but to also help build
your internal brand, and I I amso excited right now just to see
your confidence and the beliefthat you have in yourself.
Because I do believe that, nomatter who you are, no matter

(13:49):
what continuum that you're onright now in this
entrepreneurial or life journey,it all starts with belief in
yourself.
That belief starts to buildconfidence, and then confidence
is when you start to buildmomentum, and without momentum
you can't get the result.
So you're watching you slowthrough.
That, like the business part ofthis, is almost like icing on

(14:11):
the cake for me.
The internal transformationthat I'm watching is will always
be at the top of my list.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
And I think that was probably the the biggest and
greatest surprise through all ofthis was that that was really
what I needed so desperately andI still still continue to need
it.
Um, and by no way shape or formhave I, have I finished this
process, you know, but, um, justknowing how I mean I I guess
the right word is maybe insecureI was in myself and my beliefs

(14:43):
and my I was um, and I thinkthat you really made me see
myself just in a.
You saw myself in a differentway and you allowed me to then
view myself from the same kindof lens that you saw me.
Yeah, um, and I really neededthat so let's, let's talk about
what.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
so the, the first engagement we had, I will always
look back on fondly justbecause it was you.
Just you were the perfectperson for it.
But I wanted to kind of shapeit up for people at home to
understand what it looked liketoo, okay, so in a situation
like this with the B-Lab, wewould take somebody in a room,
which we took you.
We have a whiteboard and wetalk about you and what makes

(15:26):
you different, special, whatmakes you stand out, what are
your, you know, I mean, but wego deep right, we talk about
quotes from the past.
We talk about we have you do aninspo board that you absolutely
crushed and set the bar for.
But I remember you just feelingso, seen, I did so.
So just kind of take us back tolike that first engagement and

(15:47):
how that felt for you.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Well, I think so many times when you're in any sort
of relationship, whether it's abusiness or a personal
relationship all people want todo is be seen, and you have this
like really special gift of ofdoing that for for you did that
for me and it allowed me to feelso comfortable that I could

(16:10):
truly like be myself and tellyou okay, this is what I'm
really good at and this is wheremy talents lie, in a non like
boasting way about myself.
But then here's where I reallystruggle and this is where I
need a lot of help, and I wasn'tlike, I didn't feel like that

(16:33):
was cutting myself down.
I felt like this is just, thisis just real, this is how I'm
structured, this is how I'mwired and this is where I'm
going to really need a lot ofhandholding.
But let me show you all thethings I can also do too, and

(16:56):
the fact that you just took thetime and genuinely were present
to learn that about me.
It meant so much, because Idon't think we're in such this
high paced, fast world andeverybody's time is so important
and valuable to them thatsometimes we don't just stop and
focus on like that person andand really dial into that, but
you, you did, and I think that'swhy this is being coming so

(17:18):
successful and such a positiveexperience.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
So thanks for doing that.
Your business brand don'tsettle, because I do think
there's a lot of things outthere.
There's a lot of quick, youknow, dry courses where you pay
for this thing and then they gooff into the abyss or whatever.
You deserve to have that momentwhere people have to get to
know.
Especially, you have to get toknow you.

(18:00):
You got like from that oneengagement, like the things that
came out, we got so granularand we created your.
We're not going to say the nameof the brand today, we're going
to keep that under wraps, but wefigured out the name of your
brand based on a thing that your.
Was it the grandpa, yourhusband's grandpa?
Yes, like we went deep into whoyou are as a person to figure

(18:23):
out your brain.
I am so over the moon about it.
But until you really dig intosomeone, how are you going to
figure out?
Do you want to go to Canva andlike get a template and create
someone's so?
Like it's never been moreimportant to really sit with
someone and figure out, likewhat feels right, do it right,

(18:43):
build it on.
You know what, what is beingmindful, and like actually be
present with that person tofigure out what makes the most
sense.
There's so many empty thingshappening right now, right,
exactly so to have it, you know, actually be impactful and
intentional.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
I don't know, I just I remember one of our first
conversations, when I wasnervous about kind of taking the
plunge, um, mostly because Ididn't have the confidence and
I'm like, oh, what am I going toreally do?
I mean, I do have some talents, but what do I?
What am I really going to dowith these talents?
And, and one of the things Isaid is, can we just stop and

(19:21):
get to know one another?
Uh, because I thought once andI I think I told you I'm kind of
weird and I use that word in aloving way, because weird is
good, but I am.
I have different interests thanmost people, a lot of people,
and I just needed you to knowthat side of me so that you
could really figure out, okay, this is how this person is going

(19:43):
to operate and these are thethings that kind of make them
tick.
We started out our relationshipdoing just that, and I think the
, the vision board really waskind of like I feel like we
skipped so many steps becausethat checked so many boxes.
But it also was an exercisethat I so desperately needed and

(20:08):
it was like I think I textedyou and I was like, oh, I I've
been like dying for somebodythat I didn't know I was dying
for somebody to ask me to do avision board because I just like
laid it all out there.
It was just it's still such agood resource Like I have it in
my office and I look at it oftenand and and just reminisce
about, like, what each thingmeant means to me.

(20:28):
Anyways, I'm getting a littlesidetracked, but um, but I just
genuinely think that once we gotto know each other particularly
you getting to know kind of meum that it just we kind of just
like skipped all the bullshit ina sense, you know, we just
skipped to the good stuff.
I think that that reallymattered a lot.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Oh, yeah, it's setting the foundation, is
everything.
Yeah, and then and then, watching your reaction to the
brand kit we put together waslike very exciting.
Oh, I loved that.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
You know like it felt you know, because, because of,
because we spent that time ofreally, which didn't necessarily
feel like business, you know, because because of because we
spent that time of really, whichdidn't necessarily feel like
business, you know, it felt likea personal thing, um, but
because we took the time to dothat, that allowed you.
You guys just nailed mybranding kit, I mean.

(21:20):
I mean, I was just blown away.
I'm like, oh my gosh, I thinkthey might know me better than I
know myself.
I mean, I was just blown away.
I'm like, oh my gosh, I thinkthey might know me better than I
know myself.

Because great hair daysshouldn't be rare, I'm really

(23:18):
excited about it.
I can't wait to unveil theactual brand.
Yes, like it's going to beexciting.
Okay, so we've talked aboutwhat I call like the left side,
which is like the ooey gooeystuff, the alignment, the why,
and, and it's so important andit cannot be rushed.
But there's also a right sideto this.
When you're starting a business, and it is the infrastructure,

(23:38):
it's the stuff that isn't as funfor you, it's foreign to you.
It's the systems, the processes, the strategy.
It's, you know.
It's so important, especiallyfor the creatives out there who
really have this like big visionfor themselves, to be able to
align with someone or somethingthat can hold them accountable

(23:58):
and to let all of this amazingstuff that is you and is your
brand flow through in a rhythmicway that has cadence and
strategy and it all makes sense.
So you can get it out to theworld, and that's what we're
working on.
Yes, now you know.
So I feel like, again, we'veuncovered a lot of different

(24:19):
things that I think are reallyexciting.
Will we do all of them?
Maybe, yeah, yeah, you know, but, but the important thing now
is to zoom back in.
So we've zoomed out Right, wehave gone as wide as we can go.
Yeah, now, that's a good way ofputting it we need to zoom in,
though, now to that pin on themap, and all that really matters

(24:43):
is that we start, because Ifeel like every single thing
we've put on this table isaligned, it's meaningful and it
could make sense.
Right, yes, a hundred percent, but I like, I like this idea of
the retreat people who you knowbeing kind of that.
First soft launch.
We have the brand kit, which islike 98% done.

(25:05):
It'll be 100% done, like nextweek, and we make that special,
and that's when you start.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
You start that ripple , yeah, but in a very authentic
Megan type way yeah and then wego and I and I think that was
one of the things that and stillis like super duper important
to me.
That's hard to do because youfeel like when you're starting a
business or starting anythingfor the first time, you kind of
feel not always just at ease inyourself and I think maybe

(25:36):
that's like hard for me, becauseit's hard for me to commit, as
you said, because I want it tobe so, I want it to come from
that very, very authentic, realplace.
When you put the word businessor brand or entrepreneur behind
it, you start to get a littlelike that's not me.

(25:57):
I just am.
I'm not really any of thosethings, I just um, I want to be
more like that, but that's not.
Those words are scary to me.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
I think you know what .
I think you just don't worry somuch about the labels, because
the two have to exist together.
The left side and the rightside have to exist together and
you see, a lot of this stufflike soft, feminine leadership
versus the traditional, likethere's a lot of those
conversations happening intoday's world and I am my point

(26:27):
of view on that is like you canbe a Megan Goodman and lead
right, but you also have to havethe right side, which is the
infrastructure and the systemsand the processes.
And the reality is you're nevergoing to geek out over that and
so you need, if you want toreach the people.
Here's how I think it couldresonate with someone like you.
Instead of thinking of it asthis business speak and this

(26:50):
real, it's like no, if I want toreach the amount of Megans who
I was, if I want to get to thosepeople, I have to have this
type of somewhat you know, structure or something in place
so I can continue down this pathto get to them.
Yes, right, so the end justifiesthe means.
You don't necessarily have tolove the interworkings of you

(27:13):
know the business side of thingsand you can also run and have a
brand and a business that isvery kind, yeah, that is very
giving and loving, but youcannot avoid, you cannot avoid
the trappings of the mundane, the HR, the.
You know, how is this going toget out to market?
How are you going to do it?
It's just part of it.
Yeah, you know, but that's whyyou have a good support system

(27:35):
and trust in other people tohelp.
Yes, and this is a perfectsoftball and segue for what we
were talking about last week.
Yes, you finding.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Yeah, I really do think.
You know, when I started mybusiness during COVID, it was
really just me and my ideas andI kind of took a hobby and a
passion of mine I like to staybusy using my hands and kind of
using my creativity and Idecided to start making them for

(28:07):
my friends and family.
They were bracelets and it justkind of snowballed from there
and it became a business that Inever intended it to actually be
.
It was really just something Idid for fun during COVID, stuck
at home staying busy, and Iquickly learned from that
experience that, had I had kindof more of that right side of my

(28:29):
brain dialed in or somebodyelse who was stronger in that
area, that maybe the brand andbusiness would have been more
sustainable for me.
But really it was verydifficult for me to balance both
of those with kind of zerotraining.
I'm still protective of thatbusiness and that's why I wanted

(28:51):
to hold on to it, but I was notvery successful in the running
of it side and creativity fordays.
But I needed somebody to helpme with the logistics, and my
husband was really busy with hisown stuff and his own work and
just didn't have the time tohelp me with that side of things

(29:13):
and I didn't really know who toturn to, and so I'm learning
through this process with youthat I'm probably going to need
somebody there that fills thatvoid in my own mind.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Yeah, yeah, so we are looking.
So do you know there is a bumblefor business partners there's a
there's a I've discovered, so Idid a little, you know and
there is a actual app for peopleto meet and be business
partners.
But we're not doing that we'redoing today, we're putting a
call out into the universe thatthere could be someone out there
that would be the perfect matchfor you and this brand that

(29:49):
we're building, which is amodern I don't want to call it
Martha Stewart, but it's amodern twist on the trad
wife-ish Martha Stewart, wrappedin like a very old school.
It's really, really great, it'ssoulful, it's meaningful.
And so we need to find, or wewant to find, sort of the yin to

(30:10):
your yang, the person who geeksout on infrastructure,
timelines, operations, all thatstuff, and they're like, oh
great, you're taking a truck outto Granville today to sell all
your shit, cool, and they'reworried about the logistics and
all that.
So you guys just fit right intothe groove.
So if you're sitting at home andyou're like, well, shit, tis me

(30:31):
, tis I, it is me Send us a DMand then we will, you know, have
we'll do the first dates coffeeor FaceTime and then we'll see
where it goes.
But this is a very interestingopportunity for someone to get
involved in a very cool brand, meaningful brand, so jump on the

(30:52):
clue bus y'all Like if you'rein DM, yeah, dm, let the thumbs
start moving right, yeah, it is.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
You said, oh, you're a trad wife, and I'm like what
the heck's's a trad wife?
I didn't even know what thatwas.
Yeah and um, then when you, youknow, we talked about it a
little bit and I'm like, yeah, Ikind of am like there's a
little part of me that is, butthere's also parts of me that
are other things too, and uh, sowe just took all of those other
things and we're kind ofsmashing them together into one
um idea and, uh, making it veryniche-y, which is kind of cool,

(31:26):
but kind of not niche too.
Um, and just I don't know, it'sso good, I think it's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
It's everything for me to not.
I was like kate, should we saythe name today?
And she was like I'm like no,you're right, we're gonna keep
it behind the curtain.
Make sure, that's just alltrademarks and tight.
I know we don't need anyonebecause nobody's trademarked
that shit yet no, it's so.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
And then I I can't wait to kind of unveil to more
details around how we came tothe name and, like I just got to
give us some props for thatbecause it one of the things
that I that drew me to you somuch was I would listen to your
podcast, just of course, I lovedall the guests, um, and really
got connected to them and also, but I wanted in different ways,

(32:10):
uh, but I really wanted to knowyou, like I'm like, okay, how is
she thinking?
How is she, how does she makepeople feel comfortable?
How does she do all of thesethings that are difficult for me
, um, and so I really kind ofwas like dissecting you in a
sense, um, that's why I was sointerested in listening to you,
and because I felt like I wasgetting to know you and how you

(32:31):
operate.
You also were doing the samewith me and it just made it easy
you know.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
So on a side note, I'm going to tell because this
is so funny.
So last meeting you walk in,you sit down and you're like,
have you, have you been watchingthe hunting wife?
And I'm like, well, I have infact been.
What she's like, is that us?
I'm like I actually think it isus.
It is it is, I mean in thatpart in the car where Margo is.
I mean I can like when she hasher in the truck and she's

(33:01):
having her do the donuts.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
That's exactly what has happened here, exactly it's
so great it's like it's likeyou're like my little mother in
a sense, where you're like, yep,you want to do it, we're going
to do it, and I you're just likesuch a push that I needed, um,
and you're bringing out so manylike awesome things in my life
and you've taught me a lot too, just so you know and there's

(33:23):
always that right.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
There's always we all .
We all learn from each other.
Um, and it's just been so great.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
I never want it to end.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Okay.
And so another thing too, forpeople to know about the B lab.
If you want the exposure andthe amplification, I think it
makes sense to have behind thescenes progress.
I want to show people, I wantto leverage my network.
I want this to be a veryworkshoppy, fluid, real time
thing that adds actual value, where, like you, look at the end
of this and go think somethings are stirring up in you.

(33:52):
The one thing I'm going to tellyou is like, go get coaching.

(34:12):
Like go get, find someone whoyou trust that's really going to
dig in with you.
Spend the money, invest in it,make sure it's right.
Right, but it's so worth it.
It is what you're going tolearn and what you're going to
get.
You're just going to getoutside of yourself and your own
thought process.
How great does that?

Speaker 2 (34:27):
sound.
I know, and that's that'sexactly what this, this B lab
experience has done for me isthat it's taken me from my
comfort zone and pushed me alittle out of that um and, if
still comforting way that feelsright for me, um, but I learned,
you know I I mean I could go onand on and on, but I just I've

(34:47):
grown so much personally and Ireally, just from my background,
which I won't, you know, gointo all that, but I really
needed to like learn a lot aboutme and um, and be pushed,
because I have never really donethat.
I mean, yes, I started abusiness during COVID, but I
still don't know a thing aboutrunning a business.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
So, okay, more to come from Megan.
You have not seen the last ofthis lady, okay, and so a couple
of things to recap.
Um, we are going to unveil herbrand at some point on the show.
I cannot wait for everyone tosee what it is, because it's, if
anything, is you, it's that Ifyou are out there and you think
you might be a good fit for thissituation, please seriously DM

(35:29):
or send an email to Carrie atthecarriecroftshowcom, or
actually we're going to do infoat theblabco.
We got theblabco now not com dotco for company.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
And then, if you're interested, in a 15 call with me
we we have just put some newdates up in September and
October, so go to my bio onInstagram set up a 15 minute
call and let's just chat.
And if it's a fit we'll know,and if it's not, I'm the first
one to tell you.
But I can also either give youa little pep talk or give you
someone I know you'll learn, you'll get something out of the
call.
And it's so funny.
People are like nervous to geton the call, like you were, like
I hope someday.
I'm like no, get on the call, let's talk.

(36:09):
I wouldn't if I didn't want totalk to you, I wouldn't offer it
.
So yeah, so much more to come.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
And a little side note too, just to make everyone
feel at ease, is that evenyou're such a good resource.
You know everybody, and I knewthat if you weren't going to be
able to help me, that you weregoing to at least give me a
little push into the directionof somebody who could.
And so even if, even if you'renot going to be able to help

(36:36):
somebody, I know that you'll beable to give them really good
advice.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
You'll get something out of it, right?
So just step up to the plate, schedule a call and we'll see
what happens.
There could be some magic there, baby megan, thank you, thank
you, you are the best.
No, you are so much more tocome.
no, you are no, no, no I loveyou, I love you too and if
you're still out there followingyour girl, follow me on youtube
, spotify, apple or wherever youget your podcast.

(37:02):
