In this episode, Meg talks to Karleen Schlictmann, health and wellness coach and founder of Ask Karly, about black women's health disparities. We also discuss Karleen's own experiences with health disparities as a community healthcare advocate in a rural, majority low-income black community. We talk about historical mistrust of the medical establishment in the Black community and her experience navigating the healthcare system both as a Black woman and as the daughter of a Black woman with chronic illness.
