This week, we’re bringing you a dance focus, and a contribution from CFRC Broadcast Journalist, Christena Lawrie, with more on Buskers Rendezvous.
First off, we’re joined by dancers Shanel Williams and Shanique Peart during their ongoing project with the Local Arts Residency at the Kingston Grand, speaking more about their plans for the piece and preparation for the Ground UP Dance Festival, Kingston’s professional dance festival.
We also revisit our piece with Shanique and festival producer Camille Spencer of the Ground UP Dance Festival, running this year from July 8-13th, about what’s the come.
After that, we’ve got an interview courtesy of CFRC Broadcast Journalist Christena Lawrie about this weekend’s Kingston Buskers Rendezvous, with Sandi Griffiths, events manager with Downtown Kingston.
We have all that, plus your headlines and live music calendar for the week, only on CFRC 101.9fm and on our CFRC podcast feed. Be sure to tune in live on Thursdays at 2pm all summer for the latest and greatest of Kingston’s arts scene. As always, thank you so much for listening.
Our theme music is “Mathematics Monument and The Guide to Making Friends” by Julia Lynn Sepúlveda.
