Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Matthew
Henshaw, the CEO and founder ofTika, whom I met through Craig
Rosenblum, president of Hymedand 3DHill's New York Community
Manager.
Frankly, I felt a bit FOMOafter reading Matthew's blog on
the AOS conference and I reachedout to him to see what are
buzzing in the orthopedic world.

(00:22):
Enjoy, hi, matthew, hey Jenny, how are you today to see what
are buzzing in the orthopedicworld.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Enjoy, hi, matthew.

It's great.
Well for me, this morning, foryou is probably the end of the
day.
To wrap up Exactly, I was justlistening to this book, the Art
of War.
It says the mood of thesoldiers actually vary
throughout the day.
In the morning, which where Iam right now, I'm, you know,

(00:49):
rise and shine, ready to go, butin the evenings, the soldiers
mood it could be in manydifferent places.
You have to assess as a general.
So where is your mood at themoment?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
honestly, I'm, I'm, pretty good.
To be honest, we've, I've, I'vehad a good day and since AAOS
and Canaccord, I've beenfollowing up with a lot of
people, so there's a lot ofpositivity at the moment in
terms of the mood of my businessand the mood of my immediate
surroundings.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
So it's all very good at this point in time I like to
always give a little bit ofbackground about our speakers.
Obviously, I have your file, but I like to just show the
audience who our people, whowe're interviewing, are, why

(01:38):
don't you tell us a little bitabout who you are and your
business and what you're lookingfor?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, so effectively, I have a couple of different
ventures, so to speak.
Uh, my, my primary business isin recruitment, so I started off
in in medtech recruitmentaround 15 years ago.
Yeah, I've had my own businessfor 12 years and, and
effectively, uh, we started off,at least initially, helping us
companies move to europe, andthat was when CE Mark was quite

(02:05):
easy to achieve and companieswould come across to Europe, get
their CE Mark to commercializeover in Europe.
We'd help build their salesteams and their commercial
business over here.
And then, once they were readyto go to the US, a lot of
companies organically took uswith them.
