Speaker 1 (00:00):
how people are using
tools like ChatGPT and Gemini
and Grok to find lawyers andlike as a marketing company,
that's kind of the first place, you know, my mind goes.
So let's focus thisconversation around how AI is
changing the way people hirelawyers Does that sound good?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
No, absolutely, and I
think that actually might give
our audience that kind of breathof fresh air that they need.
You know, because now we'rekind of almost like flipping the
script.
Now it's not about like, hey,we're not saying to use AI with
your work, but we're saying, hey, here's how people are using AI
to find you.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Like clearly, there
are opportunities to use AI in
your practice.
Clearly and also clearly, thereare things to be cautious about
practice.
Clearly and also clearly, thereare things to be cautious about
.
Um, but you know the realityand this is this is more where I
spend my time, you know, as I'mthinking about marketing and
helping law firms grow is therehas been this like pretty
radical change in how peoplefind lawyers with the emergence
(00:58):
of chat, gpt and gemini, and andand like.
The really short version is youknow people were going to
Google Yep, if they didn't like.
Let's start here.
First off, the way everyoneprefers to hire a lawyer is
through a referral.
Sure, right, like best casescenario, if I have to go hire a
lawyer, I want somebody that Ialready know, like and trust to
(01:20):
refer me to somebody.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Somebody that you
know gets it done, which by?
Speaker 1 (01:23):
the way is the reason
why we aim a lot of the
marketing we do for law firms athelping them generate referrals
, because referrals are the wayto go.
Sure, and guess what?
I don't think ChatGPT or Grokor really any of these AI
platforms are going to changethat.
Referrals are still the bestplace to get clients, but if
somebody did not know someoneright, if there was not a
(01:45):
referral to be had, the nextthing most people were doing was
going to Google.
That is what's changing.
There is a lot of data all overthe map on this.
I was just at a conference lastweek and we did a pretty deep
dive into this.
But, depending on what studiesyou listen to, anywhere from
like 10% to maybe as high as 50%of what used to be Google
(02:09):
search traffic is now going toAI tools like ChatGPT or Google
Gemini or Grok or whatever else.
And what that that's significant, that's huge.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
