This week on The Leap, I'm chatting with DJ and Lighting Designer Brian Smith of MixLux (formerly Eventsmith). Brian and I met a couple of years ago when we were both part of a Mastermind, and his unique approach to creating a memorable and elevated wedding experience through music and lighting really struck a chord with me.

In this episode, Brian and I discuss how to amplify your wedding experience that will, for years to come, be a core memory. We talked through the importance of customizing your music selections and flow, how to work with your DJ to prep music prior to the big day, the strategy of the ebb and flow of music energy from ceremony all the way through to cocktail hour, and why lighting is so important to helping create and enhance the overall wedding experience. There's so much good information in this episode, and Brian's years of experience shines throughout.

Find Brian on instagram at The DJ Brian Smith and MixLux, and on his website  www.mixlux.net.

And find Deanna on instagram at Deanna Nash Events, The Leap Lifestyle, and on her websites at www.deannanashevents.com and www.theleaplifestyle.com.

As always, thanks for listening!

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
