Stephanie (00:30):
All right.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcomeback to another episode of The
Lethal Library.
I'm Stephanie.
I'm Dani.
And we just realized that wewere starting this podcast
without recording.
So this is take two for us.
Join us here as Dani is going totell us another story about a
(00:50):
dumb criminal.
Dani (00:53):
I didn't write an intro
for this one.
I didn't, I don't even know whatto say.
I will say sources used for thisepisode, are the Mountain Echo,
Cheshire News Press, the TimesNews, and of course the bitch
Idaho Statesman.
Love you.
This is a story of DaleShackelford.
Good old Dale.
(01:15):
On May 29th, 1999, just outsideof Kendrick, Idaho, a fire is
noticed by residents in therural area of northern Idaho.
So it's, it's up between Moscowand Lewiston on that side, the
west side of the state, but justa little east because Moscow and
Lewiston are like right on theborder.
(01:35):
So it's in a little bit.
Um.
In the panhandle.
By the time the firefightersarrived, the two story building
was a complete loss.
The couple living in the home,Donna Fontaine and Fred
Palunick, were staying therewhile they were in the process
of building a new home close by.
The building was owned by ShannaAvery, Donna's daughter, and
(01:59):
Gary Fontaine, Donna's brother.
And let me just, I wanted to saythis about the house.
it was Underneath the house waslike, and we've seen these
houses where they have like aliving quarters above.
Kind of like my, like my cabin, like the garage is down below
and living quarters were above.
(02:22):
and it was just, I, I think itwas fairly rustic out there.
I mean, it was, it was out thereand a lot of, a lot of country
out there.
You're gonna hear me refer toneighbors and I In this story
and I'm like, I don't think theneighbors could like see the
house or anything.
Only when it was aflame,
Stephanie (02:42):
probably.
Right.
Yeah.
Dani (02:46):
Once the fire was out, the
bodies of Donna, 42, and Fred,
59, were found.
The couple was, both wereidentified by dental records.
Detectives are trying to figureout how the fire started and why
the victims were shot.
Stephanie (03:03):
Oh, another fire
cover up.
Dani (03:08):
This one though, I'm going
to tell you.
It was burnt to the ground.
Um.
Total loss.
Because they had soaked, andyou've seen this before in some
of these buildings to protectthem from weather, instead of
staining them, they actuallysoak the wood in oil.
Yes.
You know what I'm talking about.
A
Stephanie (03:28):
lot of places like
near the coast do that, I think.
Yeah.
Okay.
Dani (03:32):
And so, it was, whoosh,
there was nothing.
And I don't think it.
The accelerants there.
Stephanie (03:38):
Right, and I don't
think
Dani (03:39):
it took much effort.
To start said fire.
That's so because of that.
Stephanie (03:43):
It probably means it
was moving really fast, too.
Dani (03:47):
Fred worked as a Railroad
brakeman.
Do that?
A brakeman?
Yeah.
Brakeman.
Brakeman.
He puts on the
Stephanie (03:56):
brakes.
What does he do?
Dani (03:58):
He does do that.
Oh, okay.
But he's also, this is and hedid this for many, many years.
It's, they do, in the old days, they would like, it was the most
dangerous job actually on therailroad to be a brakeman.
And they also put the carstogether, make sure that they
all get together, so.
I would not want
Stephanie (04:15):
to do that.
Dani (04:17):
No, trains aren't fucking
scary.
No, they are not something wemess around with.
But Fred also enjoyed workingoutdoors, especially
landscaping, raising wildturkeys, and managing the
forested acres around his home.
Which we all, like, we have acat.
you don't just manage your home.
You have to go around it.
(04:40):
All the
Stephanie (04:40):
grounds, yeah.
Dani (04:42):
Fred has two daughters,
Sean Grant and Heidi Wyndon, and
two sons.
Charles and Matthew.
Donna was from Middlebrook,Missouri.
She worked as an attorney.
She really, she was an attorney.
She didn't work as an attorney.
She was an attorney.
(05:03):
Her daughter, this, this alwaysmakes me sad and I just, when
I'm going through these stories.
Her daughter, Shanna, was on astudent trip in Africa.
And her son, James, was on aNavy ship at sea when she died.
Stephanie (05:19):
That's awful.
I just,
Dani (05:21):
they don't even know.
Stephanie (05:22):
No.
Aww.
are able to be reached, you're athousand miles away.
Right.
Dani (05:27):
And so then you have to,
can you imagine hearing that
your mother passed away andyou're on another continent?
Stephanie (05:33):
No.
Dani (05:34):
it's horrible if your
mother passes away or any close
family member, but then to be sofar away when you just want
probably hugs.
And
Stephanie (05:42):
to
Dani (05:42):
be near
Stephanie (05:43):
your family.
Yep.
Be home.
Dani (05:47):
Donna died as a result of
a gunshot wound to the back of
her neck.
She was also shot in the chestwith a shotgun.
Stephanie (05:55):
Good God.
Dani (05:56):
Fred died from a gunshot
wound that entered the lower
left side of his torso andtraveled through his lung.
Both died before the fire wasset.
Stephanie (06:07):
I feel like there's a
bit of relief in that because I
know that most people would hateto burn to death.
Oh, that would be horrible.
Dani (06:15):
But somebody's hiding
something.
And
Stephanie (06:18):
amazing with how bad
this fire was, they were still
able to ascertain the locationsof the gunshot wounds and
everything.
Because Sometimes.
It doesn't hide everything.
Nope.
You can't, you can't get it toburn long enough or hot enough
to completely incinerate a bodyfor the most part.
Dani (06:39):
Detectives are trying to
figure out who would have wanted
to hurt the couple.
They interviewed the couple'sfriends and family, including
Donna's ex husband, DaleShackleford in Missouri.
So I'm going to tell yousomething.
Stephanie (06:53):
Yeah.
Dani (06:54):
I do not know how this
works.
But we, there was a largepopulation traveling from
Missouri to Idaho.
Like all these people lived inMissouri and had property in
Kendrick.
(07:15):
I looked it up.
It's nineteen hundred fuckingmiles.
Twenty nine hours straight drivethrough.
Stephanie (07:23):
Okay.
Dani (07:24):
I complain that my cabin
is three hours away.
Uh, I can't imagine.
Uh, I got a cab and it's 29hours away.
Stephanie (07:34):
No.
No.
Unless you have your own plane.
Right.
Dani (07:38):
No.
These guys are just,
Stephanie (07:40):
no.
Dani (07:40):
Driving back and forth.
Eh.
Stephanie (07:44):
Pass.
Dani (07:46):
Uh, they don't have cabins
in Missouri or what the fu I
don't know.
I do not.
Well,
Stephanie (07:51):
in that part of
Idaho, I mean, it's okay.
Well, it's
Dani (07:56):
pretty it's pretty yeah,
it's nice up there and it's
probably was you could probablyget You know a big chunk of land
for less expensive than maybebut it's beautiful up there.
It's like we're talking wherethe Pratt brothers were running
and right, right get some snowup there And even as
Stephanie (08:17):
Idahoans though, like
we don't typically go up to
Lewiston area.
We went for like Big birthdaysand funerals.
Yeah, that's it.
It's not like a frequentingplace for Because I think it's
an eight hour drive.
It's very long and I don't likebig state.
We
Dani (08:37):
are
Stephanie (08:37):
a big state.
Bigger than most people imagine.
Yeah.
Dani (08:43):
So, you know, this
happened in May.
Their investigators are tryingto figure out what the heck's
going on.
What's going on?
But on February 2nd, 2000, soalmost a whole year later, Dale
Shackelford and BernadetteLassater arranged a press
conference at a Kendrickrestaurant.
(09:05):
Who's Bernadette?
Mm hmm.
Stephanie (09:09):
This.
It's a kind of a bitchy nameanyway.
Sorry, Bernadette's.
It doesn't have to be a meanbitchy.
Dani (09:18):
Bernie's cute.
I think that's what she went by.
Stephanie (09:22):
Okay, Bernie.
But in the story.
Dani (09:24):
I'm just gonna call her
Lysater.
Stephanie (09:27):
Lysater.
Dani (09:29):
In the press conference,
Lysater said, Hey, you wanna
know what happened to Donna?
Let me tell you.
She said she gave a Missouri mandrugs and had sex with him in
return for his promise todispose.
Quote.
Bows of Donna.
She did not identify who the manwas.
(09:51):
Seder was romanticallyinterested in Shackleford and is
in the process of divorcing hercurrent husband, Richard.
She claimed Donna had threatenedto represent Richard in their
divorce.
And child custody trial becauseDonna was angry over Seder's
romantic interest inShackleford.
Stephanie (10:09):
Okay, this is wild.
A wild tale.
Dani (10:15):
Hang the fuck on.
I'm not kidding.
It's earlier in the day ananonymous tape was sent to the
Lewiston Morning Tribune, In it,Lysater stated, quote, Donna
promised that Richard would getthe kids, and I would never be
able to get them because of mypossible connection with Dale.
(10:36):
And you're, I want you toremember that statement.
She also said Donna hadthreatened her children.
Lysater said she traded a bag ofcocaine and a night of sex with
a man with the understanding hewould get Donna, quote, out of
my life.
(10:56):
She said she spent the nightwith a man either May 27th or
May 28th.
And remember Donna and Fred weremurdered on the 29th.
Stephanie (11:05):
So she's saying that
she herself did this?
Dani (11:09):
Yeah.
She's saying I, Had done aguilt.
Stephanie (11:14):
For a bag of coke and
some sex.
Done.
Why are we having a pressconference about this?
What?
You're on too much cocaine rightnow, ma'am.
Bernadette, put the cocainedown.
Dani (11:29):
But you remember who's
with her.
Stephanie (11:31):
Rick, or the Richard,
right?
Or, no, Dale.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And they, they're like, this isa great idea.
Let's go on TV and say that wehired someone to kill her.
Dani (11:44):
They obviously had not
contacted any attorneys.
Stephanie (11:49):
I don't know if you,
do you really even need an
attorney to tell you not to dothat?
I feel like we're, we're waypast common sense at this point.
I did kill someone for a bag ofcoke and some sex.
No one's asking about it yet.
I'm kind of bored.
So, you know what?
Call the press in.
Let's, let's have a meetingabout it.
Call the press in, please.
Dani (12:07):
Bring the cameras.
Okay.
I told you.
I've been like, I can't wait totell you this story all week,
so.
Lasater said she later learnedof Donna's death from a friend
that told her something happenedin Idaho.
When a reporter asked if sheknew Donna would be killed as
the result of the deal, sheresponded, Almost definitely,
(12:30):
that's why I disappeared,unquote.
And now I'm back
Stephanie (12:34):
because I just want
to tell my story.
Let me tell you my story.
Man, and was TMZ around thistime?
We're talking 2000.
Yeah.
Get TMZ on the phone.
Yeah.
What is happening?
Dani (12:48):
I know.
It's just, just stay with me.
Just stay with me.
I'm here.
She left her kids, so Lysaterleft her kids with a co worker
and didn't tell a co worker orShackelford where she was going.
Lysater's children, a 12 yearold daughter and a five year old
son.
are in the custody of theMissouri Department of Family
(13:10):
Services.
Lasader was reported missing onJanuary 18th of 2000.
So she's been gone A month orso?
A couple weeks?
Stephanie (13:20):
Yeah.
Dani (13:22):
Authorities in Missouri
have been looking for her.
She was tracked, but Ha! She wastracked down by Shackelford
after he found an application inan office wastebasket for a Utah
trucking company that Lasaderwas trying to work at under an
assumed name.
Stay with me here.
(13:42):
Lasader was an employee atShackleford Trucking
Enterprises, which was owned byDale Shackleford.
Stephanie (13:50):
This just keeps
There's lots of people.
This
Dani (13:54):
is very tangled.
Lots of people.
So, Shackleford tracked her downin Salt Lake City and convinced
Lasader to come to Idaho so shecould be protected from anyone
who may want to harm her.
Okay.
Quote, she said, It has been anightmare, and this has just
(14:15):
made this nightmare a reality.
Stephanie (14:19):
What, your own
actions?
Dani (14:20):
Mm hmm.
Stephanie (14:22):
Sure.
Okay.
Dani (14:27):
On February 15th, six
people are indicted for the
murder of Donna and Fred.
Dale Shackelford is among them.
Five people are held in Idahoand one in Missouri.
1900 miles away.
Stephanie (14:42):
International.
Dani (14:43):
Shackelford is charged
with two counts of first degree
murder and one count each ofconspiracy to commit first
degree murder and one count offirst degree arson and preparing
false evidence.
Yikes.
I'm gonna introduce you to somemore characters.
Sonya Abbott's and her motherMary Abbott's are both charged
(15:05):
with conspiracy to commit firstdegree murder, conspiracy to
commit first degree arson, andprinciple to preparing false
evidence.
Sonja is Shackelford's fiance.
Stephanie (15:20):
It gets deeper.
Dani (15:23):
Sonja's father, John
Abbotts, is also charged with
perjury.
Stephanie (15:28):
Family affair.
Dani (15:29):
Lysater and another woman
from Missouri, Martha Miller,
are charged with preparing falseevidence.
The death penalty is on the linefor Shackleford.
What a wild web of fuckery.
Just, yeah, you're gonna beangry here.
(15:53):
Okay.
Prosecutors have a motive forthe murders.
Donna was the only witnessagainst Shackelford on a rape
charge she lodged in Missourifor an incident that occurred
shortly before their divorce in1998.
On August 25th, 1998, DellShackelford was arrested by the
(16:18):
Iron County Sheriff's Departmentin Missouri and charged with
forcible rape, forcible sodomy, assault in the second degree,
And felonious restraint
Stephanie (16:32):
against his own wife.
Dani (16:36):
The assault happened in
July of 1997, but Donna didn't
bring the charges until thesummer of 1998.
On April 29th, 1999, in apreliminary hearing, The
Associate Circuit Court foundreasonable cause to bind the
defendant over to the CircuitCourt of Iron County to be
(16:57):
arraigned.
So they're like, yeah, there'senough evidence.
We're going.
Shakafort is facing 30 years tolife in prison as a persistent
sex offender.
Donna was killed just 30 daysafter she testified him, against
him in the preliminary hearing.
Stephanie (17:17):
That is awful.
And you know what?
Marital rape is really hard toprove.
Yeah.
A lot of states are like, Rapecan't happen if you're married,
so
Dani (17:26):
I wonder if that was kind
of her motive on waiting.
I think it might have taken hera lot of courage because she, A,
it was 1998 and she's anattorney.
She's seen it.
Stephanie (17:38):
And if you're in an
abusive relationship, you know
that.
Any type of accountability, evenif it's just bringing a subject
up to someone, can make itworse.
I think we've all had friendsthat are like, yeah, don't say
anything, even when you knowtheir partner is a piece of
shit, and you know that it'sgoing to make it worse for them
at home, so you don't want themto get hurt worse, and gosh,
(18:03):
that's terrible.
To your wife, how disgusting.
Dani (18:06):
and I think that that is
why she waited, it takes a lot
of courage to do that, especially 25 years ago.
Because how do you it's veryhard to prove and she is a very
smart woman.
She is an attorney She didn'twork as an attorney.
She was an attorney and myapologies for that Like she
worked as an attorney.
(18:27):
No, she is an attorney.
Stephanie (18:29):
And so to be so
familiar with the ins and outs
of the legal system to wait.
She did it for a reason
Dani (18:37):
and part of that could
have just been processing it
Stephanie (18:43):
really and still
having to go about your day to
day life and they had kidsdidn't they not together not
together
Dani (18:50):
but still they have to
function and after you gotta
keep living yeah and just InJune, Lysater agrees to testify
against Shackelford in returnfor a reduced charge.
She pled guilty to being anaccessory to first degree murder
and perjury.
(19:11):
She will not be sentenced tomore than ten years in the plea
agreement.
Stephanie (19:17):
Not a lot of time.
Well, and how upsetting thatthis gross man has basically
three women in a short span.
His wife, his new fiancé, andthen Lysater.
He's gross.
Disgusting.
Dani (19:29):
Hang on.
She not only We'll testifyagainst Shackelford, but also
testify against the other fourcodefendants.
Stephanie (19:40):
She took the deal
first a lot of these times It's
just a who's gonna fold firstbecause that takes the
opportunity away from everyoneelse So I could see why she got
the 10 year.
Dani (19:53):
She's like, yep.
I'll take that.
Thank you Lasater said she knewShackelford had killed Donna,
But withheld that informationfrom the authorities The
original charges against herstem from her making that staged
tape recording between her andShackelford where she would
confess to hiring someone tokill Donna.
Stephanie (20:16):
Was she forced to do
this?
Dani (20:19):
Listen.
Stephanie (20:20):
Sorry, if I'm jumping
ahead, I'm sorry, but I just
cannot, the common sense is notcommon sensing.
I'm like, what are we doinghere, ma'am?
A press conference?
Dani (20:29):
She doesn't know what
she's doing.
Lysater was also charged for thetape she sent to the newspaper
stating she traded sex and drugsto a man named Bobby in exchange
for the murder of Donna.
Lysater's attorney, Mark Moore, said she had lied to protect
Shackelford because of theirromantic relationship.
(20:50):
Elle.
She later discovered that shewas just a pawn.
Stephanie (20:58):
I'm trying not to be
too mean here, but Duh! Like, I
don't know what else.
He has a fiance, she's anemployee of his, like you're the
other, other woman essentially.
Dani (21:12):
The other, other, other
woman.
I'm not kidding, just ill.
I'm gonna have you at some pointin this podcast.
I don't know.
Stephanie (21:26):
I'm trying to hold it
together.
I want
Dani (21:28):
you, I want you to see
his, I want you to see what
this.
What
Stephanie (21:33):
he looks like?
Dani (21:33):
I was
Stephanie (21:34):
curious.
Dani (21:34):
Yeah.
Stephanie (21:35):
Well, I'm like, do we
have a Brad Pitt on our hands?
Who is this?
Hold please.
Oh my god.
Hold please.
Do do do do do do do do do dodo.
Dani (21:48):
I want
Stephanie (21:49):
that hold music in
here.
That like, Dun dun dun dun dundun dun dun dun.
I'm gonna insert it.
Get the fuck out of here.
I can't even look at that.
Talk about a punchable face.
(22:11):
Just a fucking pudge face.
Oh, I don't even have the words.
Dani (22:18):
You know, it's kind of
giving Dabell esque with less
hair.
Stephanie (22:23):
Yeah, and is this
Dani (22:24):
and fat Dabell like a
Stephanie (22:26):
recent picture?
No, this is when all of it wasgoing on.
Oh, cuz I'm like, well, maybehe's balding now.
Now this man with these fuckinghairlines.
Gross.
Gross.
You guys, he's completely baldon top.
And she just showed me a pictureof him with no beard, naked
(22:49):
face, which for most men a nakedface is not flattering, but the
longest hair, longer than mine, like past his man titties long.
What the fuck?
Just in case we put this on,like, are you seeing this?
What is happening?
(23:12):
And this guy had like fourladies after him in one way or
another.
He had all the bitches.
Oh.
That pudge face motherfucker.
Ugh.
Do you hate him even more?
I do.
Thank you.
And I also, it does make me,listen, I'm not victim blaming
(23:34):
here, but you know, some men canbe very charming and attractive
and then you find out, but it'slike the red flag was the face,
honey.
It was right there looking atyou.
We're all lusting after thisIt's like literal bowl of
pudding of a man.
Oh, I gotta take a drink.
My God, that was a salt on myeyes.
Dani (23:55):
It was so bad, huh?
Do you see why I was so excitedto tell you the story?
And I'm like, when do I say toher, let's look.
Stephanie (24:03):
You're waiting for me
to ask the question.
Dani (24:06):
Hmm.
So in July charges against twoof the defendants are dropped.
John Abbott's and Martha Miller.
We're accused of being part ofthe group plan to kill Donna.
John Abbott's was charged forcommitting perjury to the grand
jury for his knowledge of themurders and Miller was charged
(24:26):
for helping make the tape sentto the newspaper.
Lasater's cooperation with theauthorities cleared the two.
Stephanie (24:34):
Okay,
Dani (24:35):
that is the only little
bit of kudos I'm gonna give that
bitch.
I'm just telling you right now.
We're
Stephanie (24:41):
just drug in or
Dani (24:44):
Well,
Stephanie (24:45):
they were just less
of a part of it than,'cause
Dani (24:46):
John was Sonya's the
fiance.
Yeah, fiance's dad.
And he might have known, hemight have figured it out in his
brain because he could be asmart man.
But, so if you know of the crimeand you don't tattle Yeah.
Then some.
Not if someone's gonna die.
Stephanie (25:07):
Mm-hmm.
Dani (25:08):
Well, I don't think he
knew beforehand.
He might have found outafterwards and that's what they
I can
Stephanie (25:12):
put two and two
together and know what you guys
did.
Dani (25:14):
But, you know, Lesater
said, no, they were not a part
of this, so.
Stephanie (25:21):
Alright.
Dani (25:23):
Prosecutors asked the
judge, John Stegner, I feel like
he's been in another That soundslike a familiar name.
Uh, to North Idaho has beenpoppin
Stephanie (25:33):
They are Booked and
busy because there's three
attorneys there
Dani (25:39):
judge John Stegner Was
asked to invoke Idaho's
equivalent of the three strikesyou out law against Shackelford.
Why you say it's coming It'scoming.
This will clear the way forprosecutors to seek A life
prison term for Shackelford, even if they're unable to
convict him of first degreemurder.
(26:00):
Okay.
They just have to secure oneconviction out of all those
charges.
Stephanie (26:06):
I like it.
In this case, I'm rooting forhim.
Yep.
Dani (26:11):
Shackleford's first prison
sentence was in 1985.
He was serving 15 years inprison on On a sodomy conviction
when he met Donna.
She was teaching a paralegaljunior college class for inmates
at the Missouri prison.
No.
He served 10 years before he wasreleased in 1995.
Stephanie (26:35):
So she met him in
jail?
Spiritual advisors.
Dani (26:40):
I'm not saying that was
the case.
But
Stephanie (26:45):
it just goes to show,
I mean, if we want to think of
prison as rehabilitative, itisn't.
It just teaches some people, forthe most part, how to be more
manipulative and how to finetune their skills.
Dani (27:02):
Their trickery.
Yes.
Their fucking lying.
Because they
Stephanie (27:04):
have nothing but
time.
To try out their different, waysof being narcissistic.
It's like I just
Dani (27:11):
nailed me an attorney.
Yeah, and I'm in prison forsodomy.
Stephanie (27:15):
They have
Dani (27:15):
not.
I am the magic man,motherfucker.
He's a sick bitch.
So disappointing.
The pair married in 1996, a yearafter he was paroled.
Stephanie (27:30):
Okay, I'm so pissed
off about this.
Dani (27:33):
And little tidbit here.
So I was like, how?
Missouri, Idaho, Missouri,Idaho.
How is this happening?
After they were married in 1997,the couple came out to visit
Donna's brother in Kendrick,Idaho, and decided to buy
property together.
And after the divorce Donna hadgot that property, but Dale
(27:57):
bought a separate home inKendrick.
Stephanie (28:04):
Hmm.
What a nightmare.
This is all a nightmare.
Dani (28:08):
And that's where he met
his Like, third fiancé Sonia.
Stephanie (28:14):
At this point, I'd be
moving to Mexico.
I'm not dealing with that shit.
You're coming cross country tostill harass me and be, mm mm.
Dani (28:26):
Shackelford is claiming
that Sonia Abbott's teenage
brother, Brian, is the killer.
Stephanie (28:35):
Of course.
Of course.
Dani (28:38):
Let me find somebody that,
uh, I can just blame everything
on.
Oh, that guy.
Stephanie (28:44):
Dani, this is out of
fucking control.
Dani (28:48):
Alrighty, so in October,
the trial begins.
Lead prosecutor, Robin Eckman, told jurors in the opening
statements, they were in for atale of violence, manipulation,
lies, sex, and conspiracy.
She couldn't say fuckery, butthat's exactly.
(29:11):
She said it's very complicated.
Stephanie (29:14):
I'm glad that she was
preparing them though, just as
you have with me, because thisis why.
Like, I
Dani (29:19):
wanted that to be the
opening line of the podcast.
Like, let me just tell you allthe shit.
And it's very messy.
She said Shackelford shot andkilled his ex wife Donna and her
boyfriend Fred and then set fireto the two story building where
they were staying.
Motive?
He needed to kill Donna becauseshe was a witness in the rape
(29:42):
trial scheduled to start in Juneof 1999.
Stephanie (29:46):
And do we know, was
it, did you say it was 30 years
on the line that he could havegotten for that?
30 to
Dani (29:51):
life.
Stephanie (29:52):
Wow.
I'm surprised.
Because he's a bad
Dani (29:55):
man and he's already been
convicted of Other.
Disgusting acts.
Donna claimed Shackelford rapedand restrained her.
Prosecutors state Sonia, fiancéSonia, and her mother Mary were
pissed about the rape chargespending against Shackelford
(30:17):
because it was interrupting thewedding plans of Sonia and
Shackelford.
Stephanie (30:21):
As a woman, um, sorry
Sonya, you're fucking garbage,
I'm gonna say it you're weird.
For that man, I mean for anyman, but, ugh, gross.
It's very inconvenient that he'shaving to deal with raping
someone violently.
We're trying to plan a wedding.
(30:41):
That's not even bridezilla.
That's like scum
Dani (30:43):
of the earth.
So Mama Mary took on the role ofprivate detective.
She monitored Donna's movementsand reported to Dell.
John and Mary Abbotts areneighbors to the property where
Donna and Fred were found.
Stephanie (31:04):
How
Dani (31:07):
Like, I'm gonna tell you,
there's a lot of wilderness up
there.
I've been like, I am not gonnabuy a piece.
I'm not staying, well, it washer daughter's property and her
brother's property, but I'd belike, I'm not staying there
where my ex husband's newfiancé's family can watch me.
Stephanie (31:26):
to me.
Dani (31:29):
The fuckery.
On the day they were murdered,Donna and Fred had to walk into
the remote property becausetheir truck got stuck.
Standard, right?
Stephanie (31:39):
Yeah, lots of snow.
Dani (31:41):
While they were walking
in, Shackleford went through the
truck looking for the pistol heknew Donna carried.
Her own gun.
That's very smart, but that isso shitty.
And then he walked towards thebuilding and caught the couple.
He shot Donna with a shotgun asshe was going up the exterior
(32:04):
stairs.
Because remember, how that wasbuilt.
He also shot Donna and Fred witha 32 caliber pistol.
Stephanie (32:15):
This is just so
heinous.
Dani (32:19):
The prosecutors presented
a taped interview where police
were questioning Shackelford.
We're going to get a lot offucking quotes here, ladies and
gentlemen.
When they asked if Shacklefordwanted Donna dead, he stated,
No, I wanted to see her inprison.
I wanted her to be wearing anorange jumpsuit, playing
(32:40):
volleyball with Bertha.
Stephanie (32:42):
Okay, what a fucking
strange thing to say, anyway.
Dani (32:46):
He claimed he did not want
Donna killed.
Quote, not physically dead, no.
I mean, dead in career, yeah.
Dead in the water, yeah.
Dead, dead, dead?
No.
Stephanie (33:00):
I just wanted her to
cease existing.
Dani (33:02):
Shackleford said Donna was
spending a large amount of time
trying to ruin his life.
Quote.
I mean, I was out.
I was out to do everything Icould to destroy her.
I wanted to kill her in everyway except for this.
Stephanie (33:18):
Oh, sure.
Likely story.
Dani (33:21):
And please don't ever tell
Sonya this.
Fiancee Sonya.
But I am still in, not in lovewith Donna, but I still love
that woman.
You're a fucking fat
Stephanie (33:33):
ass.
Gross obsession.
Dani (33:37):
He wants to love all the
women, all the women love
Stephanie (33:40):
him.
And he's upset that she didn'tlove him anymore because he
violently raped her.
Like, I thought you were goingto be over this by now.
We're not still friends?
We can still be friends?
Gross obsession.
Dani (33:55):
A friend of Shackleford,
James Baker, testified that
Shackleford had driven up to hishouse on May 28th, 1999 after
dark.
And remember, the murderhappened on the 29th.
He didn't have the lights on hisvehicle on.
Stephanie (34:12):
Not suspicious at
all.
He
Dani (34:13):
was creepin When James
asked about it, Shackleford said
he didn't want anyone to know hewas in town.
When James asked about how Donnawas doing, he replied, Donna is
no more quote.
Yeah, this is the day beforethough.
So, I don't know.
(34:34):
What a weird thing to say, regardless.
Be like, oh, well, we knew you.
Who talks
Stephanie (34:39):
like that?
Dani (34:40):
You know, it's very weird
when couples break up and you
have friends that are likecouple friends But you still
want to ask and still berespectful, right?
And if you don't you don't saythat you'd be like if you don't
want to talk about it You'relike, I don't know how she's
doing or whatever.
Just like I don't want to talkabout
Stephanie (35:00):
her life Anyway, can
I just tell you that Rick and I
encountered this yesterday atlunch?
Dani (35:06):
No shit! You don't have So
Stephanie (35:07):
the yard house has
tables very close together.
We didn't have a booth, becauseof course they were packed.
It's Valentine's weekend.
But there was a trio of people,a girl and a guy who were
together, and then a single guy.
And we could hear their wholeconversation.
And they asked about like abreakup with the guy.
(35:28):
He talked for almost our entirelunchtime.
I mean, we were at least 40minutes.
They could barely get a word in.
And you could tell because Ikept glancing at them.
They immediately regrettedasking the question because they
were just like, Oh, gosh.
Here we go.
Here we go.
Here we go.
So anyway, I know off topic, butit was a, you know, I love a
(35:51):
little eavesdrop.
Dani (35:54):
I do too.
You get in the juice.
Shackleford then asked Baker foran alibi, quote, Baker said,
quote, he came in and wanted meto say that he had lunch with
Katie, my wife and myself.
(36:15):
He said, if I gave him thisalibi.
Stephanie (36:19):
Put your money where
your mouth is.
How much we talking here?
No,
Dani (36:23):
just favor me, bro.
Stephanie (36:25):
Quick favor, uh, you
mind me doing me a solid and
saying I had lunch here?
Dani (36:31):
Lie to the police?
Stephanie (36:32):
Even if you were to
ask me that, Dani, I'd be like,
Girl, what the fuck?
You gotta tell me what's goingon.
I'm not agreeing to it.
Dani (36:40):
Not lying to the po po for
you.
Yeah.
I love you.
Love you, too.
Stephanie (36:44):
So much.
Dani (36:45):
No.
Stephanie (36:45):
This seems Don't drag
me into
Dani (36:46):
your shit.
Yeah.
You want to go do some fuckery?
Don't ask me.
I'm not participating.
Stephanie (36:52):
Don't bring me into
your bullshit.
Dani (36:54):
But James said he wanted
no part of it.
Stephanie (36:57):
Absolutely not.
Dani (36:59):
Then Shackelford asked
him, if I had two bodies to get
rid of, how would I do it?
Stephanie (37:06):
Little late in the
game, bro.
Little late in the game.
I know they didn't have Google.
Well, this was the
Dani (37:11):
day before.
Stephanie (37:12):
I know they didn't
have Google.
But, they did plot this.
Go to a library, I mean, there'sYou
Dani (37:19):
can look at books without
nobody knowing what you're
looking at.
You don't have to check themout, bro.
Stephanie (37:23):
You don't even have
to look them up in their Dewey
Decibel System computer.
Find out how the Dewey DecibelSystem works, and you find it
yourself.
Yeah,
Dani (37:31):
you pull open the cabinet.
Boom.
The little cards.
Stephanie (37:35):
Uh, I cannot imagine
having So, Dani, if I needed to
get rid of two bodies, like, howdoes one even do that?
Dani (37:47):
My immediate response
would be like, yeah, uh, I don't
know you anymore.
I don't know what the fuck isgoing on, but you did just not
say that to me and bye.
Stephanie (37:57):
Yeah, I have no idea
who you are.
What a loser.
Dani (38:03):
Martha Miller testifies
after taking a plea deal.
A lot of people are going toplead.
Stephanie (38:11):
They have no choice
at this point.
I cannot believe that so manypeople were willing to be a part
of this whole shitshow.
Dani (38:19):
In exchange for her
testimony, she will plead guilty
to being an accessory topreparing false evidence and
serve 18 months with five monthsalready served.
Not a bad deal.
While on the stand, she said, quote, It is not my nature to
hurt anybody or anything.
Stephanie (38:39):
Please.
Dani (38:41):
So, Miller was the woman
that Lassater left her children
with.
Okay.
When she disappeared.
So, just to kind of go back tothat.
Miller admitted to buying a gunand following Donna around in
(39:01):
the small town in Missouri andin Idaho at her Kendrick
property.
Stephanie (39:06):
Where, how are you
guys traveling to Idaho?
For someone else, becauselisten, I mean, I love me a
vacay.
Allegedly, I may have helpedwith a little not harmful
revenge on some people.
You know, help your home girlout, allegedly.
I'm not traveling to fuckingMissouri.
(39:28):
You want me to take time off forthis?
You want me to use my vacation?
1900 miles?
You want me to use my vacationfor this?
No.
No, we can, we can do a sillylittle harmless prank.
Sure, I'm not using my vacationdays for this, ma'am.
No, absolutely not.
Dani (39:46):
I would love to know this
alleged story later.
Sure,
Stephanie (39:48):
thank you.
It's a hypothetical story, ofcourse.
Yeah, people can write fiction.
Yeah.
It's great.
I have a very vivid imagination.
Dani (39:58):
Miller claims she did this
because of her, of her love of
Shackelford.
That blob.
Quote, Mr.
Shackelford is a very persuasiveman.
He persuaded me.
(40:19):
That I could do it.
He persuaded me that it was thething to do for our
relationship.
Stephanie (40:28):
Good girl, you're
such a smart girl.
Ladies, I know that there's alot of movement and change in
this way, but it's just like, have a little bit more respect
and confidence in yourself.
This shit is wild.
Dani (40:45):
Miller said Shakaferd
often spoke about doing away
with his ex wife.
The two had met at a truck stopin 1998 while Shackelford was
engaged to Sonia Abbotts.
This is unbelievable.
Their sexual relationship beganthe night they met and
(41:05):
eventually they moved intogether.
And he
Stephanie (41:09):
has a fiancé?
How does the fiancé not know?
In Idaho,
Dani (41:13):
Missouri is a whole other
thing.
Stephanie (41:15):
I want to punch my
microphone badly.
Dani (41:19):
Miller said, quote, he has
asked me to figure out a way or
to do some very bad things.
He said, I would be his foreverif I did away with Donna
Fontaine.
I'm gonna fucking vomit.
Miller said she attempted tokill Donna twice, once in Idaho
at Donna's house and anothertime in Missouri.
(41:40):
Poor Donna didn't even know herlife was like, you know, it's
coming.
All of
Stephanie (41:44):
these weird ass
groupies are watching her,
trying to kill her.
Plotting and
Dani (41:50):
this
Stephanie (41:50):
motherfucker
Dani (41:51):
is not no rock star.
Okay, Jesus Christ.
He far From there's
Stephanie (41:58):
no no, I just am the
flabbers be gasted We'll say
that
Dani (42:05):
Helen Hayes another former
lover testified in the trial She
Stephanie (42:11):
said Shackleford
Dani (42:16):
called her after his
arrest and blamed the murder
again on Brian Abbott The littlebrother,
Stephanie (42:23):
a little teenager.
Dani (42:25):
He also gave her an alibi.
He was sleeping with KarenAbbott's Sonya's sister in a
semi-truck when Donna and Fredwere murdered.
Stephanie (42:39):
This fucking slutty
ass bitch.
Dani (42:42):
Floozy Hayes worked at the
trucking company as well.
He was fucking all of hisemployees.
Stephanie (42:49):
I want to die
thinking of that.
I'm sorry.
That, I'm dissociating at thispoint.
Dani (42:57):
Hayes testified that
Shackelford had offered her 5,
000 to get rid of Donna.
Stephanie (43:04):
That's uh, I mean,
better than a thousand, like we
saw with
Dani (43:07):
Better for nothing.
Because, Lysater He
Stephanie (43:11):
told me I'd be really
good at it, and that I could be
like so good at it.
Let's have a news conferenceabout it.
I'm so successful.
But,
Dani (43:18):
Karen Abetz, she's just
like, she testified and said,
This just never happened.
she's like, you're off yourfucking rocker.
And I, there was a lot she saidabout it, but she's like, that's
an absolute lie.
he asked her, asked Karen Abbottto lie about them having sex.
(43:41):
And he said it in a way that waslike, do you want your mom and
sister to go to jail?
You better lie.
This is how manipulative he is.
He's like, you need to telleverybody that we were fucking
in my truck so that your mom andsister don't go to jail.
How humiliating.
That puddle of gloop.
(44:02):
Isn't that so sad?
And honestly, as a sister.
Yeah,
Stephanie (44:07):
I can see where,
Dani (44:08):
like, he's very
manipulative.
Oh, shit.
I just have to tell this onelittle lie, and then maybe my
sister and mom won't go to jail.
Cuz really sick.
It's not that big of a deal.
Still.
Stephanie (44:22):
No,
Dani (44:22):
but she got up there and
was like,
Stephanie (44:23):
no.
Eww, ick, no.
Yeah.
Good for you.
At least someone has a head ontheir shoulders here and wasn't
under this intoxication of thisabsolute blob of man.
I'm so disgusted.
Dani (44:44):
Okay, let's say.
I don't know how much more I cantake.
It's, oh.
So This cunt Lysater, I'm goingto tell you I fucking hate her
and you're gonna know why alittle bit But she's up there
doing her her duty.
(45:05):
She's doing her testifying forher plea deal.
Stephanie (45:08):
Okay
Dani (45:11):
So she was next to testify
Lysater said she helped plant a
bomb in a laundromat where Donnawas washing her clothes.
What does she mean laundromat?
She and Shackelford built thebomb and then placed it in a
backpack.
I shouldn't be laughing.
It's just so stupid.
I'm sorry.
She went into the laundromat.
(45:33):
And set the backpack down nextto a washing machine close to
Donna.
She went outside and using aremote control from a toy truck,
she tried to set off the bomb.
It failed.
Stephanie (45:52):
You gotta, sometimes
you gotta hit the batteries.
Lysater then
Dani (45:59):
reached out to Shackelford
via walkie talkie to tell him it
didn't work.
Stephanie (46:04):
It was 99, in all
fairness.
Rubber ducky, uh, failure.
The eagle has landed but has notflown.
I repeat, the eagle has notflown.
Oh shit, they, these people wereout of their minds on cocaine.
That's the only thing that I cansay.
They're like, we can, we canbuild a bond.
Let's build a bond.
All of these crazy schemes, theythink they're in a fucking Bond
(46:25):
movie,
Dani (46:27):
So then she went back into
the laundromat.
And checked the wires on thebomb.
Pardon me, just gonna.
Excuse
Stephanie (46:34):
me.
I left my bag with my bomb here.
I just need to get.
Dani (46:37):
Does this look right to
you?
Lysater wiggled the wires andmade sure everything was
connected and tried again.
Booze Flash still didn't work.
Stephanie (46:52):
Can I just say again,
like how we've talked about many
times, like.
As a criminal, you, you shouldhave some red flags for yourself
as well.
Like, we really fucking suck atthis.
We have failed at every There'sbeen several people trying to
murder this gal.
There's people all over helpingthem.
With a team this big, if you'restill failing daily, just give
(47:13):
it up.
This is not your forte.
I, I'm fucking losing my shit.
Danny's crying.
Dani (47:24):
Uh, cause there's just so
much.
You're just.
She's angry now.
Just hold, hold, hold my beer.
Hang on.
Lusader claimed in a meeting, while in a meeting at the
trucking company withShackelford.
Mary Abbott's, why was she inMissouri, and another employee
(47:46):
that, quote, They would neverhave peace or a future while
Donna was alive.
You manipulative fuck.
Stephanie (47:55):
You're that into the,
this woman's just living her
life, she's moved on, and all ofthese people are so obsessed,
like,
Dani (48:03):
Donna was happy, she Get a
life.
She found a guy that wasn't afucking rapist
Stephanie (48:08):
she's got her little
property, they're working on the
property, and there's literalfamilies just obsessed with,
that she has to die.
You fucked up my wedding
Dani (48:20):
plans because you're
filing, why'd you get
Stephanie (48:23):
violently raped?
Oh my god, I just want toliterally slap each one of these
people right on their fatfucking mouths.
Dani (48:32):
Mama Mary questioned
whether Tana really needed to be
killed.
Stephanie (48:38):
She's like, wow, what
a level head.
Guys, you know, murder does seema bit over the top.
I mean, maybe we could justlike, flatten her tires or, you
know, frame her for something.
Plant some drugs on her, makeher lose her career.
Dani (48:53):
Maybe we could find some
property in Montana and move
there so we don't have to beneighbors with her.
Yes!
Stephanie (48:58):
Gosh, get a life, you
freaks!
Dani (49:02):
Lysater said Shackleford
asked her to kill Sonia Abbott
because she knew too much.
So now, kill my fiancé! Now allthe mistresses
Stephanie (49:12):
are against each
other.
We're just gonna.
Dani (49:15):
Lysater was also engaged
to Shackleford.
I'm dead inside.
He told her that if she killedSonya, that would show that I
love him and only him.
Stephanie (49:32):
These women, I'm so
sorry, but they are being like a
golden retriever fucking weirdo.
Oh, if someone could tell methat I'm a good girl, I might
murder someone.
Get a grip! Get a grip! With howmany men are available, I'm so
(49:53):
sorry.
Plenty o fish, bitches.
He's not the prize.
He's not the prize.
But he'll tell me that I'm avery good and smart girl.
Oh my gosh, I want to like, Iwant to, I want to headbutt the
table at this point.
I, I am losing it.
Dani (50:13):
On Wednesday, December
20th.
The jury begins deliberations.
This trial has had over 250exhibits, 60 witnesses, and took
over 54 days.
Big trial.
After two days of deliberation, the jury came back finding
(50:34):
Shackelford guilty on sixcounts.
Stephanie (50:36):
Thank you, jury.
Because I know that's a lot togo over, because you're always
going to have a contrarianthat's like, But what about this
one piece of fiber that wasn'tAnd there's so many people
Dani (50:46):
that I would just I would
need strings, like, give me the
red strings.
How is this connected?
So, six counts, first degreemurder for Donna, first degree
murder for Fred, first degreearson, conspiracy to commit
murder, conspiracy to commitarson, and preparing false
(51:08):
evidence.
Stephanie (51:08):
Thank you, Geri, for
having your listening ears on,
because like you said, verycomplex.
Dani (51:14):
Let's have a press
conference.
I'm surprised it
Stephanie (51:16):
only took two days.
Because
Dani (51:18):
it there's a it's a lot of
charges and someone's gonna
Stephanie (51:21):
want to go over every
Dani (51:22):
and there's a law I mean
coup a two days is pretty good.
Yeah, that's like four hourswithout all of them Yeah after
the verdict Shackelford statedquote, this is we're gonna get a
lot of talking from this fuckerJust
Stephanie (51:38):
I can imagine
Dani (51:39):
it seems like they're kind
of gems That's his weapon.
That's his.
My mouth is my weapon.
And my bitches are my weaponstoo.
So Shackelford stated, quote, Idon't want to die, but if we
have a death penalty and I'mconvicted, then that's what I've
got to do.
Stephanie (51:58):
Sayonara, sir.
Dani (52:00):
He also told reporters he
would attempt to prevent any
appeals.
And wanted to skip presentencing.
He said he would ask JudgeStegner to quote, Give me the
death penalty if he's man enoughto do it.
Let's get it done.
Stephanie (52:17):
What a fucking
weirdo.
Boom! Big dog on the block here.
What a fucking idiot.
Dani (52:25):
We have moved into 2001.
Okay, Y2K.
On January 10th, 2001, MaryAbbott S enters into a plea
agreement.
Okay.
Uh, she agreed to an Alfred pleaall a uh, staircase, thank you
(52:47):
to perjury and accessory to thefelony crime of murder with her
voice breaking.
Mary stated quote, I was toldthat if this went to trial, even
if I was found not guilty, theprosecutor was probably going to
file more charges against meanyway.
This could go on for years.
(53:07):
This is not fair to my family, unquote.
Aww.
You're gonna see theseprosecutors push these women
into doing, and they have, Ilike, I, I don't know the extent
of her involvement, Mama Mary,in all of this.
(53:30):
I think that she knew, but thoseprosecutors were like, we are
gonna fuck you up.
We're gonna nail you to thewall.
Yep.
And you're gonna see what hawhat they do to Sonya here in a
second.
But Mama Mary was looking at apossible life sentence.
You're dead to rights,essentially.
I mean,
Stephanie (53:50):
yeah, they
Dani (53:50):
have so fuck
Stephanie (53:51):
around.
Find out you, you with an Idaho
Dani (53:53):
jury.
Fuck
Stephanie (53:54):
around and find out
There are so many other
activities y'all could have beendoing, but you're obsessing over
Poor Donna, living in remotenorthern Idaho for this absolute
puddle of a man.
Get your shit together
Dani (54:12):
With her plea, she will
only have to serve.
Up to 10 years.
Only 10 years.
Anyways, better than life up to10 years in prison.
So that's the maximum sentenceshe can get.
She probably erred
Stephanie (54:25):
on
Dani (54:25):
the side
Stephanie (54:26):
of caution with that
one, and I can respect that
Dani (54:29):
the next day.
Well,'cause they just said like,
Stephanie (54:32):
we're gonna go ahead,
fuck you up.
Even
Dani (54:33):
if you, even if you win,
we got more charges that we
haven't laid out against,against you.
We're
Stephanie (54:38):
ready.
We're ready to go.
Dani (54:39):
And that's a very scary
thing.
Like, even if she, they, theprosecutor said, even if you win
against these charges, we'regonna find some more.
We're gonna bury you.
And we got some more.
So It's not scary.
That's very scary.
The next day, prosecutors addedthree more charges for Sonia.
(55:01):
Fiancee Sonia.
They're making it rain charges.
They're like Oh! They're tryingto pressure.
This is what I think.
They're trying to pressure thesewomen.
Because there was a lot of talkabout the cost of these trials.
They're trying to pressure thesewomen into pleading out.
So they don't have to do a wholetrial.
(55:22):
Because these are smallcounties.
They do not have the resourcesto be pursuing each.
There's so many people.
Right.
To pursue.
Sonia was originally chargedwith first degree conspiracy to
commit murder, conspiracy tocommit arson, and being a
principal to preparing falseevidence.
(55:42):
The new charges are accessory tomurder, and two counts of
perjury.
And if this goes to trial, hermother Mary, Mama Mary, May have
to testify against her with herplea agreement that she made.
Yeah So as soon as mama said I'mgonna take the plea agreement,
they're like, all right, we gother And now, guess what?
(56:04):
And now we got all her info.
Fiancé Sonia, we're gonnafucking nail you.
We just found some more charges.
That's what you get for doingall of this because someone who
was violently raped was puttinga damper on your wedding
planning.
Stephanie (56:22):
Mmm, I'm so sorry.
Get the fuck out of here withthat nonsense.
Dani (56:27):
On January 25th, 2001,
Miller is officially sentenced
to 18 months in prison.
Remember she testified, she hadthe kids, the, she worked.
Okay.
With five months already served, she could be eligible for parole
in just six months.
It's not a bad, not a bad rapfor her.
Just let this shit go.
(56:48):
You met the wrong dude.
You fell for the wrong dude.
And you went to Idaho to spy onpeople, you fucking weirdo.
Go back to Missouri.
Go back to misery because you'rea loser if this is how you're
occupying your time.
In February.
Magistrate William C.
Hamlet ruled that the twocharges of perjury should be
(57:09):
dropped, to be dropped againstSonia.
Stephanie (57:13):
Yeah.
Dani (57:14):
Because I think, and the
prosecutor, the prosecutors were
just bullying her.
Mm hmm.
Like, oh we're gonna charge youwith this, trying to get her.
To plea.
Yeah.
To plea.
And the judge was like, no.
They were using it as abargaining chip of we could take
this, this, this, this, this, this off.
Even though they weren't reallyvalid.
Yeah.
But they were trying to scareher.
Alright.
In the ruling, he said theaccessory charge was broad
(57:36):
enough to cover any lies Soniamay have told on the stand.
Okay.
Later in the month, prosecutorsasked the court to also drop the
charge of preparing falseevidence against Sonia.
Alright.
That one's not gonna fly.
Shackelford's sentencing hasbeen delayed.
(57:56):
One of his attorneys has beenill, but he also refuses to
assist in the pre sentencinginvestigation.
In May, Shackelford claims hedesigned an anthrax bomb in a
vacant lot in Spokane,Washington.
Bitch, we know you suck at thisalready.
So yeah, the bombing ain't and Ilove the this was oh one Right,
(58:21):
or O2 somewhere in there.
That was all anthrax.
Oh anthrax central.
Everything's anthrax.
People were sending baby powderto people they didn't like so
that they think they gotanthraxed.
Really
Stephanie (58:33):
picking up on that.
Dani (58:35):
He said he will tell
authorities where it is if they
drop the charges against Maryand Sonya.
Mama Mary, fiance Sonya.
Stephanie (58:44):
I will tell you my
secret super secret anthrax
bomb.
Don't you guys want to know?
Shut
Dani (58:51):
up, you attention whore.
Latah County Sheriff Jeff Crouchsaid, Shackleford is lost in a
figment of his imagination.
But to err on the side ofcaution, he did contact the FBI
in that area.
Good, you have, I mean, you haveto.
You can't, you don't want to bethe one that's like, yeah,
(59:12):
right, and then there actuallyis a valid threat.
So, good on him.
In a five page handwrittendocument, Shackelford detailed
the bomb plot he callsSpoilsport.
This guy thinks way too highlyof himself, you just know it.
He claims four people createdthe bombs.
I certainly hope you had help, sir.
(59:34):
They included himself, two whitesupremacist leaders, And the
president.
And a federal fugitive.
I mean, we are in North Idaho,so a little bit plausible, sure.
Each person had a bomb, and theywere created just in case they
(59:54):
were ever arrested or killed.
Yeah, because with all of thefailed attempts and fuckery in
this whole case, you sound likethe person who has enough mental
capacity to create a bomb in theevent that you are arrested.
Sure, sure, sure, Mr.
Shacky.
Yeah, you're very smart.
(01:00:15):
His note said, quote, Spoilsportwill kill tens of thousands of
people unless someone with theproper knowledge stops it.
So kill me if you will.
You couldn't get a small bomb towork from a backpack in a
laundromat, sir.
But he claimed he built thebombs using the electronic
(01:00:36):
training he received at anearlier prison stay.
So, this one time I went toprison and they, they showed me
how to make a bomb.
Stephanie (01:00:51):
Yeah.
Dani (01:00:52):
That one time.
Stephanie (01:00:54):
I had an electrical
prison camp where we were
learning about stuff.
We made a clock with a potato.
Did you know that?
Oh my god.
Please spare me.
Um,
Dani (01:01:04):
But I learned from earlier
lessons that we're not using
remote control toys to detonate.
I went to RadioShack and boughtsomething a little better.
Stephanie (01:01:15):
I hate this guy so
much.
Dani (01:01:16):
I know, that's like
getting way too much.
This stuff literally hitting myhead.
I'm like, He said that,
Stephanie (01:01:23):
like.
Absolute dweeb.
Dani (01:01:28):
Back to, back to fiance
Sonia.
In another plea agreement, shepleads guilty to perjury.
Because they were pushing her.
They're like, oh, we're gonnaadd this and add that and add
that.
Prosecutors agreed to recommendup to 10 years in prison out of
the maximum 14 in exchange forher testimony against
(01:01:53):
Shackelford at his sentencinghearing.
And like, give it up girl.
What, what are you to gain bynot turning and giving your
testimony?
Your mom's going to fuckingjail.
Your beloved glob of fuckingpudding is in jail.
Your mom is going to jail overthis.
It's fucking puddle grossness.
(01:02:15):
Your mother.
You probably traveled.
Tell them everything.
Tell them everything, sis.
But Sonny's attorneys don'tthink the judge will give her
more than eight months.
Stephanie (01:02:31):
Whatever.
I don't even care at this point.
I'm just like, make betterchoices.
Please learn from this, youabsolute dimwit.
Dani (01:02:45):
The woman hating you're
doing today is great.
I love you.
Because there's
Stephanie (01:02:49):
only so far you can
go.
I, I, I hate to victim blame andclearly this is like a very
persuasive person, but to seethese people just falling over
backwards and doing the most, like the most for someone else's
(01:03:10):
failed relationship because hewas
Dani (01:03:12):
charged with a violent
rape.
Let's take stock of what we'redoing here.
Like at what point are you notbeing a fucking idiot?
You're being a fucking idiot I'mso sorry.
Stop doing that.
I love you so much
Stephanie (01:03:28):
You have got me
fucking riled up.
I
Dani (01:03:30):
told you you were gonna
get me.
I almost
Stephanie (01:03:31):
want to cry just out
of frustration
Dani (01:03:35):
We're not
Stephanie (01:03:35):
even done!
Dani (01:03:37):
Okay, and because
Shackelford isn't getting his
way, he's causing more havoc.
He asked his attorneys to helphim get the death penalty.
Shackleford asked Judge Stagnerto tell his defense team not to
(01:03:59):
argue on his He said he iscounting on a new trial and
would rather take his chancesthan give up any new information
that could be used against himat a later trial.
Still maintaining his innocence,he said, quote, If you want me
to die, shoot me in the parkinglot and get it over with.
(01:04:22):
Why don't you get it over withyourself?
But don't send me to prison for15 years.
First, on tax payers money.
Baby ass bitch.
I knew you were going to be somad about this.
I'm literally just I know youare, I know you are.
I'm listening but I'm just likeI know.
I cannot.
(01:04:43):
Judge said, you know, I have toknow if you are legally
competent.
Do you realize what you'refucking saying you idiot.
You're acting like a weirdo.
The judge is like You all right,Bob?
And Shackelford replied to thejudge, I don't know who I am.
Who knows?
(01:05:07):
I love this judge.
Judge Stegner said, quote, I'mgonna grant your wish, Mr.
Shackelford.
I still think it's necessary forthe state to prove aggravating
circumstances beyond areasonable doubt and if they are
unable to do that, Then I thinkI am unable to impose the death
penalty.
(01:05:27):
Basically what's happening hereis he doesn't want any
mitigating circumstances.
He's just like, yeah, I'm up fordeath, fine.
I don't want any of thistestimony, I don't want any of
this shit, just give me thedeath penalty.
I'm gonna roll the dice cause Iknow I'm gonna get a new trial.
Alright, let's call your bluff,motherfucker.
(01:05:49):
Shackleford's attorney, Steve.
Steve.
Just Steve.
Some dude named Steve.
I think it's Mahaffey.
Yeah, okay.
Shackelford's attorney, SteveMahaffey, argued that Segner's
ruling would essentiallyguarantee that he will receive
(01:06:10):
the death penalty.
Isn't that what you wanted?
His defense team is trying toprotect him from himself.
They have to.
I get it.
They're doing their job.
The, the one defense attorney,no I'm just kidding.
And asked, uh, I'm legallyobligated to say that's a bad
idea, even though my client'srequesting it.
(01:06:31):
So here I am saying, maybedon't.
He did have a team though, somaybe more than one defense
attorney.
His defense team is trying toprotect him from himself and
asked the judge to delay thesentencing so the Idaho Supreme
Court could have time to reviewthe decision.
Judge said, nope.
I'm doing what your clientwanted me to do.
(01:06:51):
He literally is demanding it ofme and said, If I'm man enough.
So now I have to do it.
Sentence to death.
Judge said, quote, He is one ofthe most savvy defendants I have
ever seen.
If that is the choice he wantsto make, being as intelligent
(01:07:13):
and savvy as he is.
I bet he loved hearing that.
That's his choice.
I'm a smart boy.
Such a smart boy.
But you know what?
I love the judge's like, no,it's, he has a cunning
motherfucker.
And so guess what?
Fuck around?
Find out.
Thank you.
(01:07:33):
August, at the sentencinghearing, the families of Donna
and Fred testify.
Both families, of course,Shackelford had taken away from
them by killing their lovedones.
Shackelford wanted to crossexamine the relatives.
He even tried to fire hisattorneys to do so.
Stephanie (01:07:56):
That's not how this
works.
That's not how any of thisworks, you dipshit.
Dani (01:08:05):
Shanna Avery, Donna's
daughter, said her mother met
Shackelford while she wasteaching a paralegal class at
Missouri, at the Missouriprison.
He was in jail for sexuallyabusing a child.
All wrapped up in a convenientsodomy charge.
(01:08:27):
Wow.
She said, quote, all of herlife, She helped people, she
raised people, and Dale tookthat away.
She helped him, brought him tocounselors, even though he
didn't want to go.
Stephanie (01:08:42):
Like Donna.
Trying to fix him.
Yeah.
And what did you say?
You can't fix these fuckers.
You can't fix them.
You can't.
Fix these fuckers.
Dani (01:08:53):
fred's son.
Chuck Palahniuk Testified thathis father never wanted his
children to be embarrassed by alack of education So he
encouraged them to work towardsa successful life quote with dad
gone now most of what?
Motivate us is gone.
Stephanie (01:09:09):
How terrible and he
was just caught in the
crossfires of this of justtrying to build a life with
Donna and He gets murdered.
And what
Dani (01:09:19):
an exciting time in in
your life when you meet a new
partner that you're like, oh,this is it Yes, and
Stephanie (01:09:25):
you're
Dani (01:09:25):
building together and
you're let's
Stephanie (01:09:28):
Let's do that.
Creating your own new life andnot knowing that they've got a
literal gaggle of people justobsessing over their downfall.
That's what's so wild to me.
Like you're minding your ownbusiness and there's a group of
people that are just plottingagainst you.
Dani (01:09:49):
Well Seder's testifying.
Stephanie (01:09:51):
Oh, let's hear it.
Dani (01:09:54):
She said, quote, The first
few months were good.
He was charming, he was nice, and was a very good person at
the time.
She said soon he was beating herand having her participate in
three way sex with other women.
(01:10:15):
Scandalous.
Quote, I didn't want to, but youdidn't tell Dale Shackelford
what you didn't want to do.
He told you what to do.
Let's say, this is, this istough for me.
Lysater said when Shacklefordpointed a gun at her, she
(01:10:38):
offered a young,
Stephanie (01:10:45):
I cannot get over how
much these women were fawning
over him and willing toliterally embarrass and
humiliate themselves.
I'm so, I'm so sorry.
I, we know abusive relationshipsand they're, it is dangerous to
(01:11:08):
get out.
So I can give them that, but tobasically put up someone as a
Human shield to use a youngerfemale relative as a human
shield.
That is evil shit.
Like, is it cunt
Dani (01:11:28):
shit?
Stephanie (01:11:29):
Yes.
You're being a cunt.
Like Danny doesn't use that wordas.
Prolifically as I do.
So I know when she says it thatshe's saying it for a reason and
But yeah, that's no longer selfpreservation That is I'd rather
(01:11:50):
you do it to someone else
Dani (01:11:55):
They took her to a bedroom
and Shackelford handed the gun
to Lysater and then he had sexwith a girl quote and it's all
because I didn't want to die Iwish to God I would've.
And a few weeks later, I did tryto kill myself, but didn't
succeed apparently, and now Ihave to live with this for the
(01:12:19):
rest of my life.
Go fuck yourself.
I'm
Stephanie (01:12:23):
just For you to also
participate in it, I mean,
that's just another level offucking bullshit.
Like, you're sick as anindividual to be like, not only
am I gonna point, like, maybe godo this.
But also help get the fuck outof here.
(01:12:46):
I
Dani (01:12:46):
just, yeah.
When the defense attorney askedLasater Why didn't you just
shoot him?
You had the gun.
She replied, quote, It wasn'tfree will.
I did what he said to do.
Nobody leaves still.
Did you not see this man infront of, this man?
(01:13:07):
I'm on stake by him.
Stephanie (01:13:10):
Please, to victimize
It's a young girl that you are
related to, like most women thatare in this situation.
This is why you don't hear shitlike this very often, because as
a woman knowing that pain andgoing through it, you would not
wish it even on your worstenemy.
(01:13:32):
But to be like, you know, I'vegot to really prove my love.
She didn't say to, she didn'teven say to protect herself.
She said to prove her love.
So you weren't doing this toavoid harm to yourself.
You needed to prove something tohim, to be a good girl.
Mind blowing and gross.
(01:13:53):
Zero out of ten stars.
You lose.
I knew this was gonna have youlit
Dani (01:13:58):
up.
I told you, even before westarted.
I'm fucking frustrated.
So Miller is on the stand, backon the stand.
In exchange for her testimony, these, I don't even not, these,
okay.
In exchange for her testimony,Texas authorities promised they
would not prosecute her forfiling a false report there.
(01:14:19):
The charge was over a supposedstolen tractor trailer.
You know, they're all into thetrucking business, right?
She also received immunity fromtwo counties in Missouri, and I
don't know what for, but
Stephanie (01:14:31):
they're just passing
out immunity for
Dani (01:14:35):
Miller says she met
Shackelford in January of 1998,
was intimate with him, and thenbecame a business partner in the
trucking company.
Wow.
She said after the murders, therelationship became abusive.
Quote, He has a magnetism that'sunbelievable.
He'll find your weak points anduse them to his advantage.
(01:15:02):
Yeah, you heard that.
Quiet.
Stephanie (01:15:04):
It is apparent
though.
I mean, what she's saying istrue.
Because it's It's a very, youcan see the pattern,
Dani (01:15:14):
No.
Loser.
Shackelford asked the judge tolet him play a tape conversation
with the alleged young victim hesexually abused.
Alleged.
Anyway.
His attorney did not want to usethe tape.
Stephanie (01:15:33):
Obviously.
Dani (01:15:35):
Judge Stegner, let him
play it.
You want it?
He's like, dig your own grave, please.
Keep digging.
Yes.
Let him play it as a part of adefense, as part of a defense
against Lasseter's testimony.
The preteen stated on the tapethat Lasseter had a gun and
forced her to have sex with him.
(01:15:57):
But they only faked it.
So let me just, let me take youway back into the beginning of
the story.
Lasseter's daughter was 12.
And I don't know if that wasactually her or not, but the 12
(01:16:21):
year olds, like, there's achance.
I think it's
Stephanie (01:16:26):
one whether it is or
not.
I mean, it makes it even moreAbhorrent.
Yes,
Dani (01:16:32):
so I just had to kind of
bring you back to the beginning
of the story
Stephanie (01:16:35):
That is something
that I've heard of before of
women doing that like the movieprecious so disgusting
Dani (01:16:46):
after the satyrs testimony
She is finally sentenced under
the plea deal made last year.
Judge Stegner sentenced her totwo to five years for the
accessory charge and two to sixyears for the perjury charge and
giving her 18 months credit fortime already served.
Sentences will be servedconcurrently.
(01:17:08):
After her release from Idaho, she will be sent to Missouri to
face charges of forcible childrape and armed criminal action.
Stephanie (01:17:17):
Yes, because you're
And that fucking cunt!
Dani (01:17:21):
Facing life in prison in
Missouri.
Stephanie (01:17:25):
This is like one of
the only good things I've heard
so far
Dani (01:17:30):
Fiancee Sonia was also
sentenced.
This is all going on.
Fiancee,
Stephanie (01:17:34):
Fiancee, Fiancee,
Fiancee, Fiancee,
Dani (01:17:35):
Fiancee, Fiancee, Fiancee
Well, this trial is going on as
like a little sidebar like heyyou testified come here.
I'm gonna convict you youtestified I'm gonna convict you
Come get
Stephanie (01:17:46):
your licks
Dani (01:17:47):
So fiance Sonia Was
sentenced, Judge Stegner
sentenced her to two to sevenyears for perjury.
You get what you can get.
Against his attorney's advice,Shackleford testifies.
Let's hear it.
Okay, we're gonna hear lots ofquotes.
Still claiming his innocence, hewas not as shy about answering
(01:18:11):
any questions.
Yeah, I manipulate people allthe time.
Duh.
Thank you.
He's like
Stephanie (01:18:19):
a fucking valley
girl.
He's like Regina
Dani (01:18:21):
George.
He also wanted to mention thathe still has a bomb.
I bet it's still set to go off.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You
Stephanie (01:18:30):
still have a bum.
Okay, thanks for the reminder.
Dani (01:18:32):
Also, Shackleford claims
Donna's still alive.
Prosecutor Ekman lookedbewildered.
Quote, you don't think Donna'sdead?
His response, quote, no, Idon't.
When asked about the identity ofthe female corpse that was
found, he responded, I don'tknow who that is, but whoever it
(01:18:54):
was had a uterus.
Stephanie (01:18:58):
Somebody let me visit
this motherfucker.
Dani (01:19:01):
Shackleford does believe
Fred is dead, but states, the
other body was only identifiedby one tooth.
That's a fire.
Stephanie (01:19:12):
Dental records do not
lie, bro.
They have literal imaging ofpeople's exact teeth, like over
years.
There's, oh my god, I just.
Dani (01:19:26):
He also claims 100, 000
worth of jewelry is missing
along with a law school ringDonna always wore.
Because you probably stole itafter you, before you lit the
fire.
Yeah, these things were pointingthat out.
Oh, but Shackelford's mother haseven seen Donna.
My mom had lunch with her lastweek.
(01:19:49):
And his alibi for the time themurder took place?
He was in Lewiston, Idaho, getting a load of books from the
Aryan Nations representatives tobe trucked back to Missouri.
I was getting my white
Stephanie (01:20:03):
supremacy books.
They can vouch for me.
Mine come.
I, I was picking up a few copiesfrom my friends in Missouri.
Dani (01:20:25):
Shackelford said all the
witnesses that testified against
him were quote just playingcards and that's all this is
just a house of cards okay healso wants to talk about the
movie that he assumes is gonnabe made about this case and then
(01:20:46):
where am I gonna get my cut inhis opinion he's testifying this
um he is testifying in hisopinion Kathy Bates should play
Prosecutor Ekman.
Dylan McDermott and Ben Steincould play as attorneys.
(01:21:07):
Miller should be played byErnest Bardonine.
Danny DeVito would be the LatahCounty Sheriff Crouch.
And Osama Bin Laden should playthe other prosecutor.
Stephanie (01:21:24):
Who is saying, you
have to have so much self
confidence and ego to be like, you know, if I had any say in
it, in the movie, this is, thisis my dream casting for the
movie.
As if you're being, interviewedby Seventeen magazine.
If someone were to play a movieabout your life, who would be
the star?
(01:21:44):
How did this even come up inconversation?
He's like, uh, just before weend my testimony I just wanted
to say for the record, this willbe made into a movie.
Shut the fuck up.
Dani (01:21:55):
Quote, he said, quote, a
new judge would be played by
Howard Stern.
The judge stepped in and said, quote, are we going somewhere
with this?
Stephanie (01:22:07):
Get to the point,
yeah.
And his response
Dani (01:22:09):
was, quote, Oh yes, we
are.
I offer this as a moment oflevity because this is serious.
They're asking you to kill me.
They are asking you to take meout there and shoot me or have
somebody else do it.
Nobody's shooting you,motherfucker.
It is lethal injection.
Ugh.
Nobody's shooting
Stephanie (01:22:28):
you.
We need a little bit of comedicrelease in this.
Thanks for the looking out, bro.
The fuck?
Dani (01:22:36):
Oh
Stephanie (01:22:37):
my god.
Okay.
Dani (01:22:38):
Can I just tell you a fun
fact?
You ready for your fun fact?
Is it
Stephanie (01:22:41):
gonna be fun, Dani?
It's pretty Is it actually fun?
It's pretty good, actually.
Okay, tell me.
Dani (01:22:48):
Charles Pagnynick, Fred's
son, wrote five novels,
including The Fight Club.
Stephanie (01:22:57):
You're fucking
shitting my dick.
I'm
Dani (01:22:59):
not shitting your dick.
Stephanie (01:23:03):
I am bamboozled at
this case.
Just the Fight Club?
Dani (01:23:11):
The Brad Pitt?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That one.
Hell yeah.
So when he was talking about hisdad and the education and all
that stuff, like, his dad was afucking badass.
Stephanie (01:23:24):
And he pushed, wow.
Yeah, fun fact.
How have I never heard of thiscase?
This is, I was very proud ofmyself.
Danny, you've done a lot with, Idon't even know how you walked
me through this story becausethere's so many mistresses and
mothers and just
Dani (01:23:41):
Fiancés.
Fiancés.
Féisés.
And guess what?
What?
Boom.
This fucker is sentenced to twodeath sentences for the murder
of daughter and friend by JudgeStanton.
Go! The judge stated quote Mr.
Shackelford is a prototypicalpsychopath.
Stephanie (01:24:02):
He
Dani (01:24:05):
knew what he was doing
when he did it.
He was also sentenced to a fixedprison term of life for the
conspiracy to commit murder and25 years for arson and
conspiracy to commit arson andfive years for preparing false
Evidence! Get a motherfucker! That's good news.
Stephanie (01:24:25):
And it was a fun
fact.
I do appreciate that.
No, it wasn't! Like, if you tellme of another fuckery, I'm gonna
lose it.
Like, this better be fun, bitch.
It was fun.
It was
Dani (01:24:34):
fun.
Thank you.
In December In a post convictionrelief petition, Shackleford's
appellate attorneys are claiminghe plotted to kidnap one of his
trial attorney's wives.
Shocker.
And that attorney should havereported the blackmail threat as
a potential conflict ofinterest.
True.
But he did not.
(01:24:56):
But he did not.
And they claim Shacklefordreceived ineffective treatment.
because of that and deserves anew trial.
Are you exhausted yet?
Stephanie (01:25:07):
Well, how could we
expect an attorney to give him
good counsel if he's threateningto kidnap the wife?
I'd be wanting to get an extragood counsel.
If he didn't say anything aboutit, he's, he's trying to write
hard for his client.
Dani (01:25:20):
No, I think he's like, I'm
not scared of this stupid
mother.
You might be able to manipulatewomen.
Oh, is it your anthrax bum?
But I'm not scared of you.
Loser.
Okay.
2002.
December.
Shackelford lost a bid to havethe Latah County Prosecutor
(01:25:43):
charged with a crime.
He asked that ProsecutingAttorney Ekman.
A.
K.
A.
Kathy Bates, to be charged withknowingly calling a false
witness who lied on the standduring his grand jury phase.
He claims Lassater told thegrand jury that she had hired a
hitman to kill Fred, but latersaid that that was a lie.
(01:26:06):
Lassater claimed Shackelford hadcoached her in the lie.
Ekman knew the story was a lie.
But allowed Lysater to testifyagainst, who gives a fuck about
this cunt?
Magistrate Bill Hamlet deniedthis request saying there was
not enough information in thecomplaint to determine if
criminal charges were warranted.
Basically, your paperwork wasn'tgood enough.
(01:26:26):
You manipulative motherfucker, work on the paperwork.
All right, are you ready?
I don't know, Dani.
Okay, Lysater is extradited backto Missouri in March.
I do like that.
She is charged with forciblerape and armed criminal action.
Stephanie (01:26:45):
Thank you.
Dani (01:26:46):
In August, she pleads
guilty to the charge and is
sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Rot.
Rot.
Rot.
She offered the victim toShackelford.
After he had taken another womanto St.
Louis for an abortion, theunborn child was supposedly his
(01:27:07):
and he did it for Lysater.
And so this is what's like,
Stephanie (01:27:12):
Thank you for I have
com I have competition.
I've got to show him I reallylove him.
And this is what you do?
You're a fucking psychopath.
You have something fucking wrongwith you.
Gross ass bitch.
Get out of here.
Rot.
Dani (01:27:27):
The one that, uh,
Shackelford said killed
everybody and started the fire.
Stephanie (01:27:31):
As a teenager.
And this
Dani (01:27:32):
is just, it just makes me
sad for the Abbott's family just
because I do believe, I meanthey're stupid, but I do believe
they were manipulated and I'msorry for your stupidity.
Not, not really.
As a
Stephanie (01:27:49):
teenager, what are
you gonna do?
Dani (01:27:51):
Yeah but Brian Abbott's is
missing.
His car broke down near his homeand people saw him walk off into
the dark.
His body was finally found inMarch of 04, close to where he'd
last been seen.
Just another heartache for thisfamily.
I mean.
I'm not saying that they weren'tinvolved in these choices, but
just, baby brother accused ofdoing this, and I don't think,
(01:28:13):
he had nothing to do with it.
Yeah,
Stephanie (01:28:14):
I don't think he had
anything to do with it.
Dani (01:28:16):
Also, In 2004, a former
LaTaw County detective is
charged with illegally tapingwitnesses in Shackelford's case.
Detective Curtis Hall hadShackelford and several other
witnesses fill out a statementthe night of Donna and Fred's
murder.
They were already on them.
He had a tape recorder in hispocket of his Jackets, he left
(01:28:40):
the house twice that nightleaving his jacket at the house
with a tape recorder still on
Stephanie (01:28:53):
Prosecutors Oh
Leaving his his jacket at their
house.
Yeah.
Okay.
Sorry.
I was like, so he left it athome Well, no, he left it at
their house like a wiretap.
Yeah Okay, poor guy Prosecutorssaid
Dani (01:29:08):
nothing on the tapes
helped him convict Shackelford
But it is a felony.
Hall broke the law because inIdaho, at least one of the
people being recorded has togive consent.
Which is kind of badass.
Meaning I can record all myphone calls because I'm giving
consent.
In 2005, Judge Stegner throwsout the death penalty for
(01:29:30):
Shackelford.
Why class?
Stephanie (01:29:33):
Constitutional
fuckery.
Dani (01:29:35):
Because only juries can
hand down the death sentence,
not judges.
Stephanie (01:29:39):
Okay.
Dani (01:29:41):
In 2010, the Idaho Supreme
Court Upholds the murder
conviction, Shackelford can nowbe re sentenced.
And in 2011, the LaTaw CountyProsecutor said he will not be
seeking the death penalty at there sentencing.
Because it would require him tohave a new trial to reconvict
(01:30:01):
him.
Stephanie (01:30:01):
You know what?
And I get it.
Because these small countiesespecially, it's like, we don't
have the time for that.
We don't have the resources forthat.
He said,
Dani (01:30:11):
we simply can't justify
it.
Yeah.
So, rot! Shackelford is resentenced to life in prison.
Which I love because it takesaway so many of his Yeah.
Appeals.
Okay.
In 2025, Lisater is out ofprison and according to her sex
offender registry, lives in St.
(01:30:32):
Louis.
And Shackelford is 62 andresides at the Idaho State
Correctional Center.
And I'm not, don't, I'm, I'm notpromoting this.
THIS MOTHERFUCKER HAS A BLOG! Idon't know how to, he has a
blog.
And, yeah and he talks a lotabout the, what's going on in
(01:30:53):
prison.
And it's kind of silly, but Iwill say one thing he did, he
sued the state to get electricrazors.
Uh, so Creech is fucked, and hewon! He said if women can have
electric razors I don't know whymen can and creatures like shut
the fuck up How
Stephanie (01:31:10):
am I gonna get my
razor?
I mean how funny the crossprisoner Beef like that
motherfucker thought.
Am I supposed
Dani (01:31:22):
to get a Slicey Dicey?
Stephanie (01:31:26):
Used to be all I
needed was a toothbrush and a
and a razor, and now what am Isupposed to do anyways?
Dani (01:31:33):
Shock Offord is a
manipulative piece of shit, and
Seder is a cunt.
Stephanie (01:31:41):
That's all I got.
End of story, like truly, I, andlisten, this is just a big call
out of self-reflection foreveryone of.
You start dipping toes into thisweird murder obsessive shit.
Listen, Dani and I are fuckingbesties and I, I would do a lot
(01:32:04):
of things to help Dani.
Um, Do you get rid of
Dani (01:32:09):
couple dead body stuff?
Stephanie (01:32:12):
I would, I would for
one be like, this is very out of
character for you.
You're a planner.
So are you having struggles athome?
Is there, do we need, is theresomething up here?
I'd be like, you're the typethat would already have this
planned out and be like, couldyou just do XYZ for me?
And then.
Don't ask what it's about.
So I would be concerned and sothe tick tock.
Dani (01:32:34):
What is it the the I'm
gonna hurt some people,
Stephanie (01:32:40):
right?
Yeah, yeah.
So I'd be like, Danny, I feellike, what's going on at home?
Because you would normally havethis type of thing planned out
to a T, so I'm concerned.
Dani (01:32:52):
And I wouldn't involve
anybody else for the record.
No, no.
And so, I'm not looking to getanybody else in trouble.
I will handle this myself.
Stephanie (01:32:59):
Yes, let's all just
take this as a lesson, mind your
business, pay attention to thethings that pay you and enrich
your life.
That's all I've got.
I feel like you guys have heardme flail mentally and
Emotionally too much throughthis episode already.
So that's all I've got I'msorry, if y'all think it's an
overreaction, but god damn thisI have never heard This level of
(01:33:24):
fuckery,
Dani (01:33:26):
the researching I was just
like, oh my god She's
Stephanie (01:33:29):
been telling me how
excited she was for this and I
don't tell
Dani (01:33:32):
stuff about these
Stephanie (01:33:34):
Stories before I tell
her.
I think she always has a greatstory it but this one she's
like, no you don't you're notUnderstand you're already gonna
be mad.
It is Ridiculous and I'm like, yeah, sure.
Sure.
Sure.
She was right.
I almost tipped over the table.
