Thanks for tapping in to The Life N Times Network !

What a weekend: Bud Crawford strutted in championship rounds and walked out draped in five gleaming belts, Naoya Inoue put on another surgical masterclass, UFC Noche delivered a violent main-event finish and a razor-thin co-main that’ll spark scorecard debates, and on the boxing undercard Callum Walsh cruised after Mbilli–Lester Martinez ended in high-drama deadlock. Tap in—I’ll break down how each fight was won, the key momentum swings you might’ve missed, and what these results set up next.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's really in LA the fight, episode 53.
We're going to get into UFC.
No change.
The big boxing card, everythingthat happened this past weekend
.
Boy, what a weekend it was forcombat sports.
If you are a boxing fan, if youare an AA fan, you have had the

(00:21):
best weekend of your life.
You have had the best weekendof your life.
Shout out to USC.
Shout out to boxing.
Both sports can exist.
Shout out to jiu-jitsu.
Shout out to wrestling.
All sports can exist.
Shout out to glory kickboxing.
Shout out to one.
All sports can exist.
Everybody.
Enjoy your sports.
Stop being worried about it.
Stop being exclusive.
If you are a boxing fan, youunderstand what boxing is and

(00:42):
you gravitate towards boxing.
If you're an MMA fan, you dothe same for your sport.
A lot of people are coming fromother sports and complaining
about what's going down.
Listen, canelo Crawford was ahigh-level chess match that
could have been a slugfest.
The only reason it wasn't isbecause Crawford is that good.

(01:02):
Okay, now we're gonna get intothe fight, we're gonna get into
everything.
But I wanted to set that upbecause there's a lot of stuff
going on within severalcommunities, but I feel like in
a combat sports community, there's this elitism as far as
like which sport you check outwhich sport will work in a
street fight.
Like the amount of street fightconversations we have in all

(01:26):
these communities when we'rejust fans of these sports is
weird, like, unless you're in abad neighborhood and you're
growing up dealing with thatshit, which I actually did.
Please stop looking forimaginary street fights.
Nobody wins, nobody.
The guy who wins could get amurder charge.

(01:47):
The guy who loses could be dead.
The streets is dead.
You don't win out there.
Be a good civilian, you know, pay your taxes and watch the
fights.
We're talking about someprophesized or some mythical
street fight.
Anyway, ufc, ufc, no, check.
Listen.
This was a great card,all-action card.

(02:10):
There was some lulls in this, there was some wrestling, there
was some fights.
I didn't enjoy watching, but itwas the perfect warm-up for the
big boxing card.
Now, when we get to the maincard, david Martinez put belt to
ass on Rob Font.
Rob Font couldn't keep up withthe volume of his strikes nor

(02:33):
his techniques.
He was just too active, tooyoung.
He has a chin.
He was just there to showwhat's next in the UFC.
To show what's next in the UFC.
Shout out to David Martinez.
His whole family fights inthere.
His whole family iswell-established outside of
fighting, so it's good to see afighter with duality.

(02:53):
Now going to the main event wehave Diego Lopez stopping John
Silva in round two towards theend.
Listen, john Silva had someexcellent moments but he almost
died in round one becausesomething going on Is something
going on with the fighting nerdsand takedown defense.
They have lost three of theirlast four fights because their

(03:16):
fighters couldn't keep the fightstanding or they got subbed or
they got hurt before.
Because we're really softeningthem up for that second round
finish round finish was all thework put in in the first round.
Bro, diego Lopez was beatingthe fuck out of Gene Silva.
I was surprised they even letit go that long.
It was a really, really, reallydamaging round.

(03:38):
So shout out to John Silva forhaving the heart.
He did do some weird shit after.
Then he apologized after.
It was a lot of shit.
He was right there with Hunter,I believe with UFC.
So I'm guessing they had abehind-the-scenes conversation
because he did punch Diegodirectly after he lost.
It was crazy, and Diego alsofucked up his face.

(03:59):
So there you go.
Now let's get to boxing man.
The Kalem Walsh co-main eventwas not the star of this show.
Besides, the Canelo Crawfordfight Christian Imbali versus
Lester Martinez was insane.
Should have been a 12-win fight, should have been the co-main,

(04:22):
and that's my biggest gripe withthe boxing card that happened
this weekend.
We have some no-name kid whowasn't even that good showcasing
the biggest boxing card eventthis year so far, or one of them
, it doesn't matter Either.
Or we got some no-name kid outthere stinking it up his way to

(04:46):
a UD.
He's not that good.
The guy he's fighting wasn'tthat good and we don't know why
he's up there.
I'm guessing he knows somebodythat I don't know.
Shout out to the kid.
He is still getting into thearena.
He is still risking it for thebiscuit, so shout out to him,
for just stepping into the ringWasn't a bad thing.
It's just that this guy is anobvious prospect and he
shouldn't have this many rounds.

(05:06):
That's it, and he shouldn'thave this stage.
I don't know who the fuck he is.
Now Christian Mabali and LesterMartinez go to war for 10
rounds.
This should have been theco-main.
It was.
I'm left a fan of both fighters.
I literally hit the followbutton on both of their
Instagrams immediately afterthis match.

(05:27):
I can't wait to see what theydo next.
I don't think those belts aregoing to be in Crawford's hands
for a long time.
Now, speaking of Crawford, let'sget into the fight.
He disabled Canelo Crawford.
The fight he disabled CaneloCrawford.
Oh man, it was crazy.
Crawford literally disabledCanelo.

(05:47):
He was the bigger man but hewas getting out-countered,
out-punched, out-worked in theclinch, out-muscled in the
clinch.
It was crazy.
Out-boxed again.
It was crazy.
Outboxed again.
It was Floyd-esque.
Shout out to Crawford he's atrue champion.
He persevered.
He's been stifled.

(06:07):
He's been put to the side.
He was on the wrong side ofdisagreements in the big leagues
as far as contracts when he wasover there with Bob Arum before
he crossed the street andbefore he became a free agent.
So it's good to see TerrenceCrawford be one of the good
stories in boxing.
There's plenty of boxers wholose it all in between all the

(06:28):
bullshit he's had to deal withwith his rise.
The Earl Spence win looks great.
The Canelo win looks great.
Everything that he's done sofar in his career has been great
and late.
So hopefully this is it, youknow.
Hopefully he retires, hopefullyCanelo retires.
He looks fucking done, bro.
You can't fight anybody that'smobile, anybody that can get on

(06:50):
their bike, it's a fucking wrap.
Anybody that has a jab and canmove, it's a fucking wrap.
Charlo, he lost that fightbecause he just wanted the bag.
Bro, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'msorry.
Anyway, crawford is one of thegreatest fighters, definitely

(07:13):
the greatest fighter of hisgeneration.
I don't know, nor will Icompare him to Floyd.
There was some reasons whyCrawford doesn't.
It's reasons why Crawforddoesn't have a lot of champions
on his resume, and there'sgripes about Floyd having so
many champions on his resume.
What I can say is both aregreat fighters for their era.

(07:35):
Now, hopefully, crawford justretires.
Man, go ahead and get thatchicken man, go ahead and relax.
Shout out to everybody thattapped retires man.
Go ahead and get that chickenman, go ahead and relax.
Shout out to everybody thattapped into this man, because
you know boxing, ufc, this is ashared community of combat
sports.
Hopefully everybody can justenjoy what we enjoy Now.
The closeout.
Inouye did the impossible.

(07:56):
He played it safe, kept himselfsafe, didn't risk it for the
biscuit, and if you're an NOAfan, do you know exactly what
I'm talking about?
This guy is always trading.
This guy is always gettingknocked down.
This guy is stressful.
This time he didn't stress usout.
Shout out NOA.
I think they're gearing up tofight Nikita, so we'll see after

(08:19):
his next matchup how that fightwith Nikita looks.
I'm really excited for boxing, ufc and combat sports in general
.
You know, dbx, karate, combat.
There's so many leagues, cgi, there's so many things in the
combat space.
You know, even UFC is gettinginto BJJ space.
So, like anywhere where we canjust grow and learn and enjoy

(08:41):
these great, great fights andgreat fighters, we should
gravitate and support.
Shout out to everybody tappingin.
This is the fight, episode 53.
Tap in.
