On this episode Joe D’Agostino
Joe is a photographer based in New Jersey
Joe grew up surfing, skateboarding and studying Jiu Jitsu and For the past 24 years Joe has worked as a police officer where he serves as SWAT Team Commander and Law Enforcement Sniper. He has helped spearhead the resiliency program at his police department which helps first responders understand and cope with the effects of PTSD.
Joe has been a contributing writer for FujiLove magazine and has had his work featured in numerous periodicals.
One of the most important reasons for Joe’s body of work can be attributed to the therapeutic nature of photography. He has found that spending more than half of his life in a career that can often expose the horrors in life, photography allows him to look at the world through different eyes. Finding the beauty in everyday life helps Joe control his own journey with PTSD. Joe believes that photography is a journey on a road that has no ending but can only be traveled.
