I'm weary of holding on to it,indeed, I cannot.

Very simple structure for ourfun Friday episodes, guys.
They're usually shorter, we getright to the point and we try
to give you some, someencouragement along the way.
All right, so what we start offwith is a is our three tips a
health, wealth and our self tips.
Now for the lion within us.
We're built on these, theseprimary pillars.
The health would be your mindand your body.
How do you strengthen that?
Okay.
Wealth is how do we be a bettersteward of our finances and our

careers?
Okay.
And self, ultimately, what dowe need to be doing to improve
our position as husbands andfathers?
That's three big colleagues.
That's two big colleagues,rather, three big areas in our
life.
So for the health tip for thisweek, think about this when it
comes to food Eating for energy,not for emotion, okay, and I'm

an emotional eater.
So this is where I brought thisone up, because I get convicted
by this one.
But before meal, if you askyourself, am I feeding my body
or my feelings, that may tellyou really what you need to know
.
Okay, because that's going tohelp you reframe the food
choices that you eat.
And I get it.
Man, there's nothing, like youknow, when you're maybe under a

lot of stress, maybe someanxiety, and you just turn to a
bag of chips or to the ice creamor to the candies or whatever
it may be.
Whatever that thing is for you.
I just encourage you, thinkabout.
Is this an emotional decisionI'm making right now?
Now, the emotions aren't bad.
I'm not saying emotions are bad.
They usually are just terribledecision makers.

(03:00):
Health, because a couple of baddecisions in the kitchen or in
the pantry can really set usback from our physical goals and
the things we're trying to dofor maintaining and building
strong health.
Okay, now I'm not coming at yousaying I got all this stuff
figured out because peanut M&Msthat is my uh, my, my sore spot,
right, that's just there.
But if we really areintentional about the, the, the,

the reason behind the eating,that may help.
Okay, all right, now that'syour health tip.
Now for the wealth tip, thinkabout a practice called a Sunday
night map.
Okay, so on Sunday evenings,spend 10, 15 minutes and answer
the question what must happenthis week to move my career

(03:48):
forward?
And then start really thinkingabout OK, how is that aligning
and manifesting on the calendar?
Do it before the week starts,because once the week starts,
you're in it, you're in it,you're in meetings, you have all
these things going.
So it's really just taking thattime to be purposeful and
intentional.
Meetings you have all thesethings going, so it's really
just taking that time to bepurposeful and intentional about
.
Okay, if this is important, ifGod is calling me to do this in
my career, how is this aligning?

(04:10):
How does this manifest?
What's the evidence of that inmy calendar?
Because we know, guys, you liveand die by your calendar.
You just do.
Your calendar dictateseverything that you do,
everything that you got going onthroughout the week.
So how can I be superintentional and purposeful here
about aligning the things thatare important that God's calling
me to do to that?

(04:31):
All right Now for your wealthtip, I'm sorry for your self tip
.
Think about this.
Apologize fast and forgivefaster.
Okay, we have to be diligent inboth these areas, so don't go
to bed holding on to offenses,right, don't, don't do that.
But that quick forgiveness,right, man, that should be so

(04:53):
big, because your kids, ifyou're quick to forgive your
kids are going to see that.
Dr Greg talked about a mirror.
They're going to see that andthey're going to want to mirror
your grace or they're going tomirror your grudges.
This is why, like for guys, wehave to be in tune and aware of
this at all times.
And the unfortunate part isthere's no time off.

(05:14):
And the fortunate part is yougot a ton of influence.
You know, you, you do have somuch influence.
You guys have more influencethan they they ever recognized.
And what we're trying to dowith the line within us is just
encourage you and just to letyou see that more and more and
more.
Okay, start by apologizing fast.
Guys.
You need to be the chief, chiefapologizer in your home.

(05:36):
You know, learn to say the twowords I'm sorry and don't do it.
I'm sorry with a caveat.
No, let's not do it that way.
But then when somebodyapologizes in your family,
forgive, forgive them right.
Model that for your kids.
And I'm telling you, if youwant to build these types of
things to your kids.
They got to see it from you.

(05:56):
I wish, trust me, I wish Icould just like teach it to them
or like here, read this book,or go do this thing.
But no, what they're going tosee is okay.
If dad says this is important,what is dad doing?
How is he modeling it?
And that's the super convictingpart.
That's the hard part that wehave to wrestle with, but that's

the part that's going to movethe needle the most.
Okay, all right, fellas.
So there's your three tips yourhealth, wealth and yourself.
That health again eat forenergy, not for emotion.
That wealth is the use thatSunday night map to really get
super intentional on yourcalendar.
And the self tip apologize fast.
Tip apologize fast, forgivefaster.

If, okay, but if it got alittle smile out of you, that's

If you tell these to yourspouse or to your kids and they
roll their eyes and sigh, thenwe have accomplished our mission
, all right.

it's almost like, if you say it,what do you do with it next?
And my encouragement to you isthis If you just say it, you
take a massive step of takingpower away from the evil one.
And it's super scary, it's hard, it can be, you know, just
audacious to even think abouttrying that.

But I just want to encourageyou and I also want to tell you
you're not the only guy who'sever felt the way you feel Now.
That feeling may be new to youand you may think for you and
your situation.
No one else is going to get it.
But I'm telling you that'swrong, but you wouldn't want you
to think that way.
Fellas, these emotions are here.
We have to deal with them.
We have to pull them out,expose them.
Many times, if we just talkabout what's burning in our

heart and we're getting tooafraid to say it, we just talk
about it, particularly if it's asin area.
It's in that step that we takepower away from the evil one, so
we remove power from him and weput that when we put things
into the light.
Does that make sense?
So anyway, fellas, thank youguys.
