In this episode of The Living Artist podcast, Preston discusses how great artist "observe" their culture and times very astutely, and then "report" back to society what they see, through their own unique artistic lens. Through this observation process, we as artists, can discover what our function might be in our creative endeavors. What is in need? Is there some void that we can fill with our art? What must be uncovered and commented on? These are just some questions we might ask ourselves when observing culture through our artistic perspectives.
