From growing up as the son of a baker to spending years in retail management, he eventually found his true calling in the arts.
Ian shares how he transitioned into writing — taking up blogging and balancing freelance sports journalism (you might know him from The Anfield Wrap) with a growing reputation in theatre. His passion for the stage led to the acclaimed play Girls Don’t Play Guitars, a celebration of Liverpool’s musical heritage and female empowerment.
