intergenerational chat aboutlife, art and the creative
process.
I'm your host, jill, andjoining me is my wonderful
co-host and bonus mom, mama Judy.
Let's get started.
Welcome back, and today you maysee this in YouTube, but if

Mama Judy and I are togetherfor the first time ever,
recording a podcast in the sameroom together.

We are not the first time ever, just the first
recording ever.

Yes.
So I flew out to Portland,oregon.
We're in Lake Oswego, oregon,to see Mama Judy and friends,
and so we're here recording ourepisode together.
So we get to do this.
And we thought today weactually have a giveaway that
we're going to be doing, whichis super fun.
Mama Judy created something andI created something and we're

going to put it together as onegiveaway.
So we're going to tell you alittle bit of details about that
in a moment, but first of all,we just thought we would come on
and check in with everyone andjust kind of talk about what's
been going on and how thisexperience has been for us as
podcasters.

You all know the story that Jill got me into this
and it was an idea that hadnever, ever entered my mind, but
it's been so fun and it's beenfun to see the reception we've
got from everybody.
And that's kind of where we arewith our giveaway that we'll

talk about later.
We've had such a wonderfulreception.
We've gotten great comments andwe're so appreciative of that
and we just you can probablyhear the mower in the background
we are I am pet sitting herefor a month, and so this has
turned out to be a great time tohave time with Jill and we just

want to be relaxed, talk, letyou see the human side of us,
although I think we do a littlebit of that in our podcasts also
but our main thing is we wantto talk to you about what we
want to give away and how tosign up for it.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yes, but first, just like Mama Judy said, we got to
talk a little bit about whatwe're up to, so came in a couple
of days ago.
I've been staying a couple ofnights with Mama Judy and my dad
.
Last night we watched Maverick,which is Top Gun, number two
the movie and this is somethingthat we've planned since we
watched it together.
(02:46):
Last time we were together,which is kind of funny because
we both were having some majorsenior moments.
We thought we were trying tofigure out when's the last time
we saw each other.
We backed it up beyond pastCOVID.
We thought we hadn't seen eachother.
We literally saw each other.
Last year we realized my husbandand I went to see them out in
Sedona, arizona a year ago.
We saw Top Gun when it came outMaverick and loved it, and so
(03:10):
we watched it again last nighthere at the house and that was
super fun.
So we've been eating good food,yes, having a little wine, yes,
and I'm gonna turn this arounda little bit.
There's this is the view youcan see outside the place here,
and my dad and his friend areout there.
So this is weird.
(03:30):
We've been spending a lot oftime sitting outside together.
We haven't done any arttogether, which is interesting.
We really haven't had time, Ifeel, because we've just been
visiting and I've been drivingaround with my dad taking little
drives and and yeah.
I'm surprised we haven't doneany art yet.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Well, anybody who hasn't seen family or friends
for a while, and you're on alimited budget of time, it's
hard to get everything in, sowhat you do is you just sit back
and take whatever you can get.
Yeah, and one thing that wasimportant to both of us was to
record this recording althoughit doesn't have a theme Like our
(04:11):
normal ones and tell you aboutthe giveaway, and then, of
course, our podcast will be backto their normal Format after
that.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Yeah, next week.

Yeah, so we're calling it thegratitude giveaway, just because
we're grateful for youlistening and in people also

I have one of the small journals that, by the way,
we'll be doing a reel with morein-depth information on it, but
this is one of my, I would sayfour by four journals, probably
not as thick as normal, becausewe want to open this to
everybody overseas also, and weall know that shipping costs you

your firstborn child, yeah, soit's not quite as big, but it's
still loaded with lots of pages.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yeah, and if you're seeing this on YouTube, you're
getting a little preview rightnow, but also today, when this
goes live, go to our Instagramaccounts.
We're both gonna have a postthat will give you the details
on how to enter the giveaway.
But you all, when mama Judycreated this, she then sent it
to me because when I'm in NorthCarolina Because we were
thinking we were gonna do thisbefore it just never happened.
But when I got it, I texted herand I said I don't want to give

it away, I want it.
It's so amazing.
What a selfish little brat.
And she said we can make youanother one.
And so you all are going tolove this.
I have leafed through thisthing probably 20 times while
I've had it and it's justprecious.
And then what I did?
We wanted to have a little bitof a collaboration, so what I
(06:01):
did is I did a slow stitched bag.
It's a little drawstring bagthat we're gonna put the journal
in, or the collage journal thatwould you call it a collage
journal in, and I've got someslow stitching.
I have just a smidge left to dothat.
I'm gonna finish up in the nextday or so, but we hope that you
will love it.
We put our hearts into it andit was fun to create it and we

want to put it out there in theworld, and so, whoever's the
winner is the person that it wasmeant to come to, and we hope
that you enjoy and this is justour first giveaway.
We'll probably do somethingagain, because we're just
creating all this stuff and wegot to do something with it.
We hope someone else can enjoyit.

Yes, we're gonna be drawing on November 4th, which
is a Saturday, so when thisepisode airs, you're listening

we will announce the winner onInstagram and we'll tag the
person and put that out onInstagram as well.

So November 4th, you can befrom wherever you are and we'll
have the details, like we said,on both of our accounts, and so
we're both gonna have a reel onour Instagram accounts and then
we're gonna go and choose thewinner.
It's a random sort of thingthat we're gonna choose, that.
We're gonna draw the winner forthat and, yeah, we're looking
forward to getting this intosomeone's hands.

Yes, and just on a final note, I use the word
gratitude a lot, but basicallyJill and I Love doing this
because it's a collaborativeeffort between her and I.
It gives us time to share evenZoom time with each other, but
the bottom line is we arecontinuing to do it because we

get encouragement from all ofyou.
