11 Healthy Churches Seek to Reproduce

[* For the past ten weeks, we have been considering "The Marks of a Healthy Church." As we have considered various passages of Scripture, we have seen that there are four primary areas of interaction in the body: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, and Stewardship. In all of these areas though there ought to be a desire for unity and for the involvement of all of the body. The church is not social club, it is a spiritual fellowship (or even stronger - unit). * The first two messages came from Acts 2 and 4. In those messages, David pointed out that the foundation of the church is Christ, and then building blocks of the church. Discipleship is one of those core building blocks. Discipleship is literally "teaching someone the teachings of a teacher" or "disciplining someone in the disciplines of a discipler". The first step of "discipleship" is conversion. This is the exhortation and command of Christ ... that we MAKE DISCIPLES ... by GOING, BAPTIZING, and TEACHING. * Evangelism isn't just the "job" of the pastor ... or the "evangelist."
