Speaker 1 (00:00):
How can men overcome fear or resistance to change
when they're trying to pursue alife they truly want?
So the first thing in thatquestion is going to be well,
figure out what a life you trulywant is.
That's going to be the firstthing, right?
The reason most people don'tget what they want is because
they don't know what they want.
Yeah, it's like the universeasks them what do you want, cody

(00:22):
?
You go oh, I don't know.
Your wish is my command.
There you go.
You've.
The universe asks them what doyou want, cody?
You go I don't know, your wishis my command?
There you go, you've got abunch of nothingness.
That's exactly what you askedfor, but the set that you know.
The second part to that question, I think, is going to be to
recognize that every emotion hasa physiological equivalent, and
we understand that with fear,right.
So with fear, what is thephysiological equivalent that
comes with fear?
Well, it's going to be fight orflight.

(00:42):
If we're in a state of fear, then fight or flight is the
response, and in a marriagesituation for sure.
But in life in general, ifyou're in a state of fear in
your marriage and you're in afight or flight situation, which
is which of those two ishelping your marriage fight,
fighting with your wife orhusband, or fleeing from them,
abandoning them?
It's like fear is an incrediblydestructive state and it can
only produce destruction.

(01:02):
And there's a list of emotions.
We can start with shame, guilt, apathy, fear, depression, pride
.
These are all emotions thatproduce an absolutely negative
outcome in your life.
If you're in a state of fear, ifyou're in a state of apathy, if
you're in a state of depression, if you're in a state of guilt
or shame, nothing good is goingto happen to you.

(01:23):
I can assure you of that.
I can assure you of that.
But when we go above that line, when you achieve the highest
state which the lowest higheststate, by the way, is courage
We've got courage, willingness, neutrality, joy, peace, love.
When you're in these states, genuinely nothing bad can happen
to you, only good stuff canhappen.
So the great thing about fear?

(01:43):
Well, let me just back that upa second.
The first state there iscourage.
Well, the great thing aboutfear is that courage is fear
with action added to it.
So if you're in a state of fearright now, all you have to do
is add action to that fear andyou are in a state of courage.
Now, good things are going tohappen to you.
And when we're in a state offear, we can are going to happen

(02:05):
to you.
You know we.
And when we're in a state offear, we can go.
One of two ways we can go I'min a state of fear, I'm going to
fear, this is terrible and I'mgoing to flee or fight.
Or you can go, I'm going to.
I'm in a state of fear.
Wow, what an opportunity, because all I need to do is add
action to this fear.
And now I'm in a state ofcourage and again, attraction is
behaviorally based.
Right, if you right.
If you are a man or a womanwho's constantly fearful, what

(02:27):
are you attracting to you?
Very little.
If you are a man or a womanthat is constantly in a state of
courage, what are youattracting to you?
Good things.
