No matter what your lifestyle, end of life can be
surprisingly expensive, even if you have other life insurance. There
are many expenses that may not be covered when you
are gone. It's one of those times when your family
may really need more protection, and most Americans don't realize
how affordable life insurance can be. Life insurance pays cash
(11:09):
to your beneficiaries to help your family with final expenses
as they cope with this transition. The Accelerated death Benefit,
you can even request the proceeds of your policy up
to fifty thousand dollars while you are still living if
you are diagnosed with a terminal condition. Combined insurance has
been protecting families and paying claims.
Speaker 21 (11:28):
For nearly one hundred years.
Speaker 20 (11:29):
Talk to a Combined Insurance agent about the benefit amount
that is right for you, because no matter your lifestyle,
being protected feels good.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Y'all know what time it is? Is birthday time? Best?
Speaker 19 (11:55):

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Welcome back.
Speaker 12 (20:36):
You're tuning in to the Me and Miss Jones show.
I'm still your host, doctor Miss Jones. Well, y'all, it
is time to bring on the Woman of God. Before
we do, I just want to see if anyone has
any prayer requests. If you have any prayer requests and
you are in the clubhouse, go ahead and put it
(20:57):
in the chat so that the Woman of God can
pray for you. Today. We got some wonderful women on today, y'all.
We got all women on. It's Ladies' Day, So we
got a woman to God. She is an evangelist, she
is a songwriter, she is a gospel recording artist. So
we're gonna have a good time, y'all. I want y'all
(21:20):
to show a lot of love to Angela Smiley Carpenter.
Speaker 7 (21:25):
Hey, praise the Lord, doctor Missus Jones, thank you so
much for this wonderful opportunity.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Of course, praise the Lord. Yes, we're going to have
a good time. So how are you. I am wonderful.
I am doing really really good, excellent.
Speaker 12 (21:43):
So I always like to tell everybody where I meet
my guest. So we met online. I saw the amazing
things that you're doing and invited you to come on
the show.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
So again, thank you so much for coming on today.
Thank you.
Speaker 12 (21:56):
So let's just get right into it and talk talk
about your journey to ministry. I know that you were
called in two thousand and four, over twenty years ago.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Yes, So how did you know that you were called?
Speaker 7 (22:12):
Well, I know that some powerful woman of God prophesied
that over my life. But the pastor that I grew
up under, he always instilled in us that no matter
what the prophecy is, pray and seek God for yourself
and let the Lord show you.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
And so that's what I did.
Speaker 7 (22:34):
I prayed, and I really wanted to be sure that
this is what the Lord had for me, and so
and I had a dream and throughout the course of
that night, the Lord confirmed that calling in three different
dreams during that night. And then I was responsible for
(22:54):
praise and worship. So what I did was I went
to open up my word for the scripture for that
Sunday morning, and it took me right to the first
chapter of Jeremiah.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
And I said, Lord, I thank you. I accept this call.
But it didn't come easy for me.
Speaker 7 (23:12):
I did run away from it for a long time
because I knew the weight of that calling. My mother
is an evangelist, so I knew all that she had
to go through, and I did not want it. To
be honest, it took the Lord to put me on
my back in a hospital with multiple blood clots Jesus
(23:34):
for me to run to the altar and say, Lord,
if you hear me, then I will preach your gospel.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
And I remember one day at work I got a
call from the Komandan Clinic in two thousand and three
where they told.
Speaker 27 (23:48):
Me that.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
My blood level was regular and I no longer had
to be on commandant. And I said, Lord, I thank you.
I accept this call of an evangelist ever since.
Speaker 6 (24:00):
Amen.
Speaker 12 (24:02):
So you said Jeremiah one for those of us said,
don't know what that is? Can you tell everybody what
Jeremiah one says?
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Sure?
Speaker 7 (24:11):
In that scripture it talks about how God chose you
from your mother's womb. And so he told me, He
let me know that you were chosen from my mother's womb.
You know, Yes, this is me that has spoke to
my servants to prophesied this word to you. Now I'm
showing you in my word that I have chosen you
(24:32):
from your mother's womb.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Answer this call. Amen.
Speaker 12 (24:36):
So now you are laboring in the vineyard with your husband.
He is the pastor of Jesus and Living God Apostolic
Faith Church in Cleveland, Ohio.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
So that is amazing. I love this. So you are
first lady and evangelist. I love that. Yes, I am
a man. So what's that like working with your husband?
Speaker 10 (24:59):
You know it is.
Speaker 7 (25:00):
It has its challenges because nothing that we do for
the Lord is easy because of course we're going to
face you know, the adversary. You know, the enemy is
going to you know, show his head and his hand
and things. But you know, when God has called you
to do something, then you're committed to it. You have
(25:22):
the passion, you have the you know, the compassion to.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Do the work of the Lord.
Speaker 7 (25:26):
So although we have as challenges, we enjoy doing Kingdom
work together.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
And you know our church, you know, things happen with
one of our churches, you know where it.
Speaker 7 (25:39):
Was destroyed, but you know we are resilient and again
because we know that God has called us to it.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
You know, we didn't take that and run.
Speaker 7 (25:48):
It just made us even stronger to do the work
of the Lord because we know that God has something
greater for us.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Amen. I just love it when the husband and wife
flow together, like when you see a husband and wife team,
you know, especially in ministry, and they just flow. I
love that. So y'all keep doing working alone. We got
to have your husband to come on and do words
of inspiration as well. Absolutely, he will love that.
Speaker 12 (26:11):
Yes, So I would love for you to go ahead
and do words of inspiration. So I created this segment
because you know, a lot of times people are just
not going to church anymore. They love to sit at home,
doe to virtual, listen to it on the radio, YouTube, TV,
all that stuff. So I always want to make sure
people are getting the word in for the week. So
what has God put on your heart for the people
(26:32):
this week?
Speaker 7 (26:34):
So what God has put on my heart for the
people today is to stay connected to the source. And
this source says Jesus, Yes, James for and they tells
us to draw knye to God, and He will draw
knye to you to cleanse your hands, you sinners, and
purify your heart. You double mind it. And if I
can leave anything with the listeners, it would be to
stay connected to the source. We are living in perilous
(26:58):
times and what I feel are the last of days.
Is so important that the people of God stay connected
to the feet of Jesus, stay connected to the word
of God, and stay connected to the voice of God
and the plan of God. It is imperative for us
to continue to fast and pray.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
We have to believe and have faith in God and
seek Him like never before in these last day hours.
Speaker 7 (27:23):
The Book of Hebrews eleven and six tells us, but
without faith, it is impossible to please him. For he
that cometh to God must believe that He is, and
that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
This is the only way we will be able to
know how to discern and hear instructions and move in
(27:45):
this season by staying connected to Jesus. The signs are
all around us that Jesus is on his way back,
sooner than we think. I speak to the listeners who
are already saying sactified, holy ghosts field and on fire
for the Lord. I encourage you to stay with God,
no matter what it looks like, and no matter what
(28:06):
it feels like. I know the devil is rage and
war on the saints, but I need you to be
reminded that we are on the warning side. We will
never promise that this walk will be easy, but we
are more than conquered. Why because Jesus has overcome the world.
God said in Second Timothy the second chapter, verse twelve.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him. We
are going to face persecution.
Speaker 7 (28:37):
We are going to go through storms, test and triumph.
That Jeremiah twenty nine and eleven reminds us that God
knows the thought Callerluijah, that he.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Thinks towards us. They are thoughts of peace and not
of evil, to give us and expect it in. What
is that expected in?
Speaker 7 (28:56):
It is a heaven that awaits those who are prepared
to see Him when he returns. He never said that
we wouldn't have to endure hardness as good soldiers.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
But greater is He that is in us than he
that is in the world.
Speaker 7 (29:11):
We have to be like the five wise virgins in
Luke twelve and thirty five, where it says to keep
our lamps trammed and burning because of Second Peter three
and ten, it tells us that the day of the
Lord will come as.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
A thief in the night.
Speaker 7 (29:27):
So as I wrap it up, I also want to
speak to everyone under the sound of my voice who
does not know the Lord and the parting of your sins.
I encourage you today to repent and be baptized, every
one of you, in the name of Jesus.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Christ was the rambition of your sins, and receive the
gift of the Holy Ghost.
Speaker 7 (29:47):
According to Acts to A thirty eight for the Bible
tells us and two Peter three and nine, the Lord
is not slacked, confroning his promise as some men count slackness,
but as long stocking to our work, not willing that
any should perish, but that all shall come to repentance.
He is speaking in this last hour and giving everyone
(30:09):
a chance to make him their lord. And say them
he Rules three and fifteen tells us today, if you
will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in
the provocation.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Isaiah fifty five six and seven.
Speaker 7 (30:22):
Says, speak either Lord, while he may be found, call
you upon him.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
While he is near.
Speaker 7 (30:28):
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man
his thoughts, and let him turn unto the Lord, and
he will have mercy upon him. To our God, he
will abundantly party. And if I can say, Jesus is
on his way back. And I know that we hear
that all the time. But I promise you this is
(30:49):
not a cliche. He is coming for a prepared people.
So I close with this, and I wish to reiterate,
stay connected. For those of you who are not connected,
get connected to Jesus.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
Amen is everything we need.
Speaker 12 (31:04):
Amen, stay connected, get connected, stay prepared. Yes, amen, thank
you so much for that word of encouragement.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Amen.
Speaker 12 (31:15):
Yes, all right, if you are in the clubhouse, remember
to put your prayer requests in the chat because it
is time to pray. I know I have a few
prayer requests. So Pope Francis passed away recently. He was
eighty eight years old. He was the first Latin American
pope and it was one day after Easter. He had
(31:35):
just made his Easter appearance. So we want to course
pray for him, Pray for his family, pray for whoever
they're picking as the new pope. And we also want
to pray for a little UZI vert. He is an artist.
He was hospitalized recently. I don't know the outcome of
why he was hospitalized. It just you know, said he
(31:56):
was hospitalized. So we want to course pray for that
whole situation. And of course I want you to pray
for the show with me and miss Young Show and
the listeners. All right, let's go into the clubhouse. All right,
we don't have any prayer requests in the clubhouse. So
of course anything that God has put on your heart
to pray about.
Speaker 7 (32:16):
Amen, Heavenly Father, I come to you thanking you for
another day of life, health, strength, the activity of our limbs,
and a right mind. Yes, we pray for every listener
and every heavy heart on this station that you will encourage, uplift, strengthen, renew, restore,
(32:37):
give peace, peace of mind and joy to them. Yes,
for you said in your word, fear thou not, for
I am with THEE. Be not dismayed.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
For I am thy God. I will strengthen THEE.
Speaker 28 (32:50):
Yay.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
I will help thee.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Yay.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
I will uphold THEE with the right hand of my righteousness.
Speaker 7 (32:55):
When we ask you to heal and deliver your people
from sickness and disease, from mental illness and addiction, regulate
and renew minds. Today, Lord, meet every natural and spiritual need.
In the name of Jesus. Help us to remember that
you have a plan for our lives, and that we
can look for that expected end. Lord, I pray that
(33:17):
your people ready ourselves for your return. That we will repent,
humble ourselves, and pray seek your face and turn from
wicked ways, so you can hear from Heaven forgive us
of our sins and hear the land.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
I pray for the bereave today, Lord Jesus, Lord.
Speaker 7 (33:33):
I pray on God for those who would have been
impacted of God by the passing of the Pope. Lord Jesus, Lord,
I pray right now, will God, Oh God, that you
will align things right now according to your perfect will.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Father. Now, I pray for every backslider and unbeliever, that
today will.
Speaker 7 (33:50):
Be the day they choose you, that they will come
into the ark of safety and not be subjected to
your wrath that is to come, that they will have
a life changing and counsel with you that will bring
them to accept the plan of salvation.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
I rep you can.
Speaker 7 (34:04):
Bind every demonic work, assignment, plot and plan of the devil.
I come against every rich, every war like in every
wizard that.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Is after your people.
Speaker 7 (34:13):
I decree and declare that no weapon that is formed
against thee shall prosper, and every time that shall rise
against the adjudgment, thou shall condemn.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Last. Lord, I pray for the host, Lord, enlarge.
Speaker 7 (34:26):
Her territory, bless her as she introduces your people to
a new platform to spread the Gospel through soul or word,
meet and supply her every need, and bless and keep
her family as well. Let the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in my sight,
(34:46):
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer and Jesus' name.
Speaker 12 (34:50):
I pray, Amen, Amen, Amen, and amen. Yes, thank you
so much for that anointed prayer.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
We needed that. We need prayer. Yes, we do.
Speaker 12 (35:01):
Thank you so much for that. That was who I felt,
that thing that was good. Halleluj Amen Jesus. Yes, thank
you so much. So I want to talk a little
bit about Pastor Bishop TD Jake. So Yes, last Sunday
he passed down his church to his daughter, Sarah Jakes
(35:21):
Roberts and her husband Terrey Robert. So I just want
to play a little bit of this and then we
can converse.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Here we go, okay, sure, fresh blood.
Speaker 19 (35:36):
We need.
Speaker 27 (35:39):
The ability as the world changes to technology and TV
slides backwards and like it or not, and some things
I like about it, some things that don't. The world
is changing, not less. Our thing was the changing of
(36:03):
the guard. I'm thinking probably by the church anniversary, we're
going to formalize.
Speaker 29 (36:16):
That.
Speaker 27 (36:16):
I wanted to introduce to you, your pastors.
Speaker 19 (37:02):
I know, I know.
Speaker 27 (37:10):
You might be a little scared. I know you might
feel the weight sliding from my head to you. I
know the crowd is heavy, but I also know that
(37:37):
if God is for you, who can be against you?
And as long as I can, I'll be somewhere, oh
(38:00):
in the shadows, on the stage, wherever you need me
to make this vision come to pass from.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
All right?
Speaker 12 (38:29):
So that was Bishop td Jake's passing the torch on
to his daughter Sarah Jakes Roberts and her husband to
Ray Roberts, who also preaches. He is a minister as well.
It was very emotional. If you get a chance to
actually watch the clip, it was very emotional. They were
(38:51):
very emotional. His wife came as well, and a lot
of hugging, crying, and you know, they talked. They both
spoke to Ray and Sarah Jakes Roberts and you know,
just talked about how they're so honored. You know, they
had their own church and then they came back to
help him with the ministry and he had a heart
(39:12):
attack right in front of us while he was preaching.
So I think it was time for him to pass
the baton. I've you know, witnessed these amazing preachers that
have built megachurches, like Fred Price. I was there when
he passed a torch to his son, Ivy. Helier has
passed a torch to his daughter. So what are your thoughts.
Speaker 7 (39:35):
So my thoughts is I know that we should all
have a predecessor. That is so important because we just
never know what could happen. We want to talk about
your singing, Joreney. You started singing at the age of six.
Did you start in church?
Speaker 12 (39:52):
I did, Okay, Then you started writing songs in the
early in your early twenties.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
So when did you start actually recording music. I started recording.
Speaker 7 (40:08):
I would have to say it was when my first
single came out, which was in twenty seventeen. Although I
had lyrics, you know, songs already prepared, didn't start recording
until twenty seventeen.
Speaker 12 (40:26):
Okay, twenty seventeen, all right, So we're actually going to
play your second song that you created, and it's called
It's My Day to Be Blessed.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
So tell us about that song.
Speaker 7 (40:38):
So It's My Day to Be Blessed was created one
day I was feeding my she was a year old
at the time, granddaughter, and you know, my husband and
I we had fell on financial hard times, and you know,
sometimes you really have to encourage yourself. So as I'm
(40:59):
you know, playing with her, feeding her, you know, I
was like, you know, it's my day to be blessed,
you know, And so I just started humming this tune and.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
I said, wait a minute, this is a song.
Speaker 7 (41:11):
So I left from feeding her, went and grabbed my
recorder and I started, you know, recording the lyrics to
this song.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
And it was making a declaration that it's my day
to be blessed.
Speaker 7 (41:25):
I have to speak it. Our words have power. And
so that's how that song came about.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
All right, let's go ahead and play it.
Speaker 12 (41:33):
It's my Day to be blessed by Angela's Smiley Carpenter.
Don't go anywhere, y'all will be right back.
Speaker 19 (42:09):

Speaker 2 (42:23):

Speaker 19 (42:24):

Speaker 15 (42:27):

just reflecting and just spending some time in the presence
of the Lord, and my heart began to get sad
because I you know a lot of people that come
to Jesus with their hands out.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
Lord, I need this, Lord, do this for me.
Speaker 7 (49:16):
Lord, I want you to move or you know, but
it's very rare that people just come into his presence
to just to love on him and just to worship
and bless him.
Speaker 21 (49:26):
True.
Speaker 2 (49:27):

I've been in the promotional game for about thirty years,
promoting mainly comedy, and then I've branched off into doing
concerts and shows. I started from I got out of college.
I couldn't find job in my feel and I started
working with my cousin. He was doing a DJ, doing
(01:00:04):
parties and events, and I would help him at his events.
And once I started seeing how easy it was and
how I was able to turn it into a business.
After started making money and the money was consistent, I said, okay,
form Well. We formed several groups in partnerships, and then
finally twenty ten, I formed Simply Sensational, Inc. I basically
(01:00:29):
wanted to build my contacts first and then work on events,
build a portfolio where I could show people what I've done.
You know, not so much who I know, but like
the connections, like real connections of actually doing events with
certain people, because sometimes you know, people put the posada
I know so and so on, but they really don't.
(01:00:51):
And what I learned is it's not about what you do.
Sometimes it's about who you know and your connections.
Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Okay, now you have worked with a lot of people. JB.
Speaker 12 (01:01:02):

Still so many people that I would love to work with.
Had the chance to meet Dave Chappelle, My guy Donna
Rollins is with him and his crew. There's so many.
Speaker 2 (01:02:01):

I don't have anything bad to say about him because
I guess I was on his good side. Okay, okay,
what I was supposed to do.
Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
In regards to production, he was respectful.
Speaker 26 (01:02:32):
Never been to a party, never been to the Freaks girl, No,
never been to a freak party party. He is very
strict and the things that he wants, and you know,
like I've seen how he's become, you know, when people
are not doing what they're supposed to do.
Speaker 21 (01:02:54):
But I have it than that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
I would have to say he.
Speaker 26 (01:02:57):
Was cool by me. We weren't really in each other's
presence a lot. It was like, you do this, this this,
this show went smooth. We did a couple of tapings,
and you know.
Speaker 12 (01:03:07):
How was he when people didn't do what they were
supposed to do? General production people that he has worked with,
but not like our crew. I'm presently working with talent.
Speaker 26 (01:03:23):
At level on a Cousin's tour and creating some more
you know, shows and things for the summer. So I'm
trying to come up with another tour. Basically, we had
started the Legends of Comedy, so that's still in the works.
Speaker 21 (01:03:43):
Maga.
Speaker 26 (01:03:44):
You had a G White, Freddie Ris JP Justice, so
that's something that's still in the works, and you know
it's more to come. Someone's not here yet so I'm
in that pre planning stage.
Speaker 12 (01:03:58):
Okay, Well, I want to say thank you for your
service and congratulations on all your awards that you've been getting.
Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
I know New York State gave you.
Speaker 12 (01:04:07):
A service citation and you also got the President Joe
Biden Lifetime Achievement Award for your service.
Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
So congratulations, thank you.
Speaker 12 (01:04:16):
So I know that you're an AKA, but you also
work on a lot of community projects just on your own,
So tell us a little bit about that.
Speaker 26 (01:04:26):
Some of the well, one of the things that's dear
to me is helping women to empower themselves. And you
hear lately you have women that have gone to domestic
violence as well as women trafficking, human trafficking, and it
(01:04:46):
affects the kids, it affects the adults. And always just
trying to be mindful now of our surroundings. Like I
should always tell my daughter, never think that you are
too good that it can't happen to you. It happens
all around the world. My daughter is a model, international model,
and she's an actor, singer, all those things, and she's
(01:05:08):
in college. She's eighteen. The thing that I used to
tell her when we used to travel abroad you see
the signs that they have up about how kids are
being kidnapped. Never think that it's too good that it
can't happen to you. So one of the projects that
I feel dailly about is Damsel and Defense. It's a
(01:05:29):
it's a women based company that basically empowers women on
how to protect themselves and their family in the community.
And I became a Damsel Pro educator where basically you
look at statistics of how women are, how women are assaulted,
(01:05:49):
and one in five women are sexually assaulted, one in
six women are generally assaulted before or the age of seventeen.
One in three women will experience some form of domestic
violence in their life with a partner. So those are
some of the statistics, and basically we try to equip
them to stage their home, stage their cars, you know,
(01:06:13):
look at their office environment and even their social networks,
and when they're out at certain events you know how
to protect themselves and just be aware. So with Damsel
and Defense, my website is wwwmdamselpro dot net slash pro
(01:06:35):
three six two one four. When you go on that site,
you basically can see all the different products that we offer,
their lifetime products and basically between pepper sprays and stun
devices that are legal in New York State. Pepper spray
is not legal in certain parts, but we're trying to
(01:06:58):
make it legal. So it's just basically helping women to
empower themselves.
Speaker 12 (01:07:05):
We also have a project for kids, the Damsel House Project,
which helps kids that are being adducted to see the
signs as well as parents seeing the signs. We also
have like game boards and stuff and books that basically
teach parents how to look out for certain signs and
(01:07:26):
to teach their kids to be able to tell.
Speaker 26 (01:07:28):
Them certain things.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
So that's one.
Speaker 26 (01:07:31):
I'm also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated,
and right now we're in a stage where we're planting
trees one of the initiative for a green environment. We
in Binghamton, New York. We just planted two trees for
two directors of EOP at Binghamton University that passed away
(01:07:55):
that was dear to us, and they allowed us to
plant two trees that will grow and keep getting memories alive.
You know, I believe in networks. You know, I was
a student at Binghamton coming in as you do.
Speaker 12 (01:08:08):
Now.
Speaker 26 (01:08:09):
They look at Binghamton University almost like an Ivy League school.
But back then, you know, you it was a sprinkle
of us on campus. So bringing more students and giving
them scholarships and funding to come to the school was
a big process. And with Alpha Kappa, Alpha would continue
(01:08:29):
to fundraise and help those students. So it's about giving
back beautiful. Oh and you also those are the main ones.
Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
You also were crown mis exquisite, full figure into that night.
That was that my coming back.
Speaker 26 (01:08:48):
Where I basically dared myself to do something that I
probably would have never done because I probably didn't you know,
like at that time, I didn't feel like when you
look at pageants, I don't feel like, not to say stereotype,
but I was a full figured woman, you know normally
(01:09:10):
and pageants you see smaller women. And I was coming
back after an accident where I was building myself back up.
So it was more so to build myself back up
my self esteem and motivation and you know, just get
me back to a standard of where I was before
(01:09:32):
I had my accident in twenty fifteen.
Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
So for me, I did it for me, not for
I say, for the winning.
Speaker 26 (01:09:41):
If I took on the attitude that if I win,
I win if I don't look at what I gained
from the process. And it's been a great journey. I
won twenty nineteen MISSUS Quizite Full Figure USA tri State
No more tri State. I'm the only one right now.
(01:10:03):
But the group that I am a part of miss
Full Figure USA New York and we're doing an event
May seventeenth, or sneaker Ball that's going to be at
the Residence in Manhattan on thirty sixth Street, and we're
basically helping to raised funds to do things in our community.
Speaker 12 (01:10:24):
So I'm still Oh, I won try one swimwear. Okay,
So I went to Nationals and I won swimwear. So
that was a big defeat for me because I was
not going to do swimwear. And then I just got
up the nerve to do it, so said, I'm taking
one of these titles, and I got that one.
Speaker 26 (01:10:46):
So I accepted it gladly.
Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
But yeah, well, let's talk about our upcoming event this Friday.
Excitay again.
Speaker 12 (01:10:57):
We're going to be at Confessions pre Mother's Day comedy
show I'm hosting. We have Tis Hines, she's gonna be
doing some comedy, and we have Oneika McLain tell everybody
about the food.
Speaker 26 (01:11:15):
Well, this event is gonna be at Confessions, which is
three three three Madison Avenue and Marcus Garvey. It's a
black owned female business, so it's important for us to
help our small businesses. So we're coming back to do
something in the community for the women in the surrounding area.
(01:11:36):
We got a few sponsors that have given us stuff
to get to the women to make it a special
day so they not only get a comedy show, they
get a one hour buffee, they get some giveaways, and
we play some games and basically enjoy ourselves and you know,
in a simple way, inexpensive way. The tickets are twenty
(01:11:57):
dollars an area of common health the time.
Speaker 12 (01:12:00):
Yes, it's right in Brooklyn, and shout out to DJ
Tiger Styles, who's gonna be on and tues. He's bad, y'all,
So come out. We're gonna have a lot of fun.
Bring your mama, bring your grandmama. We're gonna have a
good time.
Speaker 26 (01:12:14):
And all the aunties, all the aunties are welcome. And
you know it's dress up, dressed down higby way you
want to be just come as you are and come
and get a laugh. A lot of people with all
the stress, they don't know how to laugh and get
that smile back. And sometimes well they say laughter heels
the soul. I truly believe that, because when you're going
(01:12:36):
through something and somebody mentions that on stage, you think
about it in a different light that wow, it's not
as bad as what I thought it is, you know.
So I love comedy, always love comedy, and we'll continue
my journey in comedy, not telling jokes, but promoting it.
I can call a joke to save my life, I
(01:12:59):
can't tell you.
Speaker 12 (01:13:01):
Get your tickets on event bright So it's called SIP
Saver and Laughter pre Mother's Day event Confession's Bar and
Lounge in Brooklyn.

Speaker 13 (01:15:21):

Speaker 1 (01:15:24):

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):

Speaker 1 (01:15:34):

Speaker 40 (01:15:38):

Speaker 1 (01:15:49):
That's why I'm ready to be home again.
Speaker 19 (01:15:53):

Speaker 10 (01:15:53):
So I'm getting back.
Speaker 2 (01:15:57):

Speaker 29 (01:16:03):

Speaker 41 (01:16:50):

the twenty twenty four Miss Subways pageant in Coney Island.
Speaker 2 (01:17:32):

Speaker 12 (01:17:33):
Perform in clubs, colleges, churches, and conventions all around the world.
Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
I want you all to share a.
Speaker 12 (01:17:40):
Lot of love to author and comedian and New York
City's own Danny right O.
Speaker 21 (01:17:48):
Hey, hello, doctor miss Jones. Thank you so much for
having me.
Speaker 12 (01:17:53):
Of course, thank you so much for coming on. So
I always like to tell everybody where, I mean my guests,
and I kept thinking, I cannot remember where I met you.
Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
I was like, okay, let me think.
Speaker 12 (01:18:05):
I looked back at the date that we first started texting,
which was last year in April. I was like, was
it at Janice Missiite show or what Women in Laughter Festival?
Speaker 9 (01:18:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 39 (01:18:17):
It was at It was at Joanna Briley's show, Okay,
Christy Pair on fifty fourth Street there it is.
Speaker 7 (01:18:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (01:18:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:18:25):
I was like, Okay, Joanna Briley, Yep, yep, Women Last.
Speaker 21 (01:18:30):
A Joke Sister show. Yeah, I was. I was the
street team that night.
Speaker 29 (01:18:34):
It was.
Speaker 21 (01:18:35):
That was It was a great, great show that night.
Speaker 10 (01:18:37):
I remember.
Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
Great Okay, I'm glad you remember because I was. I
was like juggling in my mind. Where did we meet?
So I'm so glad that we stayed in touch with
each other.
Speaker 21 (01:18:47):
So you same.
Speaker 12 (01:18:49):
When I was reading your bike, I was like, you
have really performed as some interesting places. You You performed
at the Star Trek Convengeance, Now may the fourth be
with you?
Speaker 2 (01:19:02):
Is that Star Trek or Star Wars? I could not remember.
Speaker 21 (01:19:05):
That's start, that's Star Wars. But truck we are. We
are very inclusive. We celebrate made with you.
Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
I was like, May the Boy. I was like, you
would be more of an expert than me.
Speaker 21 (01:19:20):
But yeah, there's there's no Star Trek versus Star Wars.
Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
It's all love okay, good, all love okay.
Speaker 12 (01:19:26):
And then you also have performed at Comic Con, Galacticon, Trek, Conderoga,
Sure leave coon, So tell us all about all these cons.
Speaker 2 (01:19:37):
How you got into it?
Speaker 19 (01:19:38):
Are?
Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
I mean, do you dress up? Like what is all
of that about?
Speaker 10 (01:19:42):
Oh?
Speaker 21 (01:19:43):
Yeah, yeah, I dress up.
Speaker 39 (01:19:44):
So that's that's kind of what I'm sort of of
of like I specialize in is this like cosplay comedy?
Speaker 21 (01:19:53):
And I work with another comic who lives in DC,
Dave McGowan and uh.
Speaker 39 (01:19:59):
Our groups name is seriously nerdy comedy, and you go
around to mostly to Star Trek specific conventions. We're in
our forties and you know, it's kind of a very
specific niche.
Speaker 21 (01:20:13):
But it's so wonderful when you can.
Speaker 39 (01:20:15):
Tell a joke that is super specific, like about something
that means a whole lot to you, and share that
with with a group of people who are just all
in one place as Beautiful and the other cons Comic Con,
Galaxy Con, Awesome Con. These are more more general fandoms,
(01:20:35):
so you have, you know, a bigger mix of age
groups and and things that people are into, and different costumes.
The way I got into it was during the Lockdown.
I was doing Zoom, the Zoom comedy thing, and I
(01:20:55):
was asked to do a Star Trek convention. And at
the time, I can't believe there was ever a time
that I only owned one Star Trek costume. Wow, but
it was green and I couldn't wear it in front
of the green screen.
Speaker 2 (01:21:11):
I got right.
Speaker 21 (01:21:11):
Study and I was just completely see through, and so.
Speaker 39 (01:21:16):
At the last minute I had to scramble and get
a new costume together of a different character.
Speaker 21 (01:21:23):
Her name is seven of Nine.
Speaker 39 (01:21:24):
She's kind of kind of a quirky character who I
really resonate with, and it ended up becoming like my
whole thing. And now I have like ten different costumes
just to this one character, and I think I've done
about seventeen of these.
Speaker 21 (01:21:37):
Now, wow, I just love it.
Speaker 12 (01:21:42):
So you are passionate about pet rescue. Your model is adopt,
don't shop.
Speaker 21 (01:21:50):
Tell us how did you get that's that's the common motto?
Speaker 12 (01:21:55):
I thought that's the common mind. I thought that was
like telling people don't shop guys, don't get that pockable,
don't forget it, you get dispet instead. Okay, so that's
just the common model. Okay, So how did you get
involved with that?
Speaker 39 (01:22:09):
So I have I have floor cats, oh the cat Lady,
you know, Foundling Rescue, Philly street cats, you know, like
you know, they were like doing the Lady in the Tramps.
Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
Kind of thing.
Speaker 39 (01:22:23):
And I did a lot of volunteer work with a
small local shelter in Philadelphia. I was the person who
took the pictures and wrote up the website profiles.
Speaker 21 (01:22:38):
For the animals, like you know how they kind of
give them like a dating profile.
Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
I have get adopted. I have not been on a
website for that.
Speaker 39 (01:22:47):
Okay, if petfinder dot com it is like it is
like match dot com for finding your pet.
Speaker 21 (01:22:56):
I My job was I would go to the.
Speaker 39 (01:22:58):
Cat shelter, would get to know the cats, I would
take their pictures, and then I would basically make them.
Speaker 21 (01:23:03):
A dating profile.
Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
Oh my god today.
Speaker 21 (01:23:08):
But yeah, no, I'm definitely been very passionate about that
for a long time.
Speaker 39 (01:23:13):
And and uh, I'm I'm gonna be actually, so my
husband and I are kind of going on an adventure.
Speaker 21 (01:23:21):
Uh, and we're moving to Mexico City.
Speaker 2 (01:23:23):
And yes, you were telling me about that.
Speaker 12 (01:23:25):
So you've already gotten rid of all your furniture, so
that must be difficult. But you know, I guess you
had to start early and you know, make sure everything
got done.
Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
But why are you guys moving and.
Speaker 21 (01:23:36):
Getting rid of all your furniture in a Manhattan apartment.
Speaker 39 (01:23:39):
It's not a whole lot of furniture. Goodness, true, very true,
But we're no, it's exciting. It's going to be an
adventure and and one thing that I want to do there.
I've already made made some friends in the in the
comedy scene down there, really and a couple of the
other I.
Speaker 21 (01:24:00):
Speak Spanish not but not well enough. To do stand
up comedy. That's a whole other level.
Speaker 39 (01:24:06):
But we're talking about maybe doing some uh uh English
speaking comedy shows to raise money for local cat and
dog rescues, since they do have they have so many
I mean here as well everywhere, really so many homeless animals.
So hoping to use comedy for good whenever you can.
Speaker 12 (01:24:26):
Yeah, now, how did you guys decide to move down there?
Did your husband get a job there or like, what's
the reasoning.
Speaker 21 (01:24:35):
Well, I've just always loved Mexico.
Speaker 39 (01:24:38):
I've like just visited different places there, just you know,
several times, and we've been there a couple of times together.
And uh and you know, my husband is is is
a an it is a software engineer, so he can
you know, kind of he can you know, be at
a be it be it, ad a laptop anywhere. Okay, Okay,
(01:25:01):
we went through the immigration process and uh, you know,
it's a it's just a beautiful, beautiful place.
Speaker 21 (01:25:10):
It's pretty much seventy five degrees most of the day
every day around.
Speaker 12 (01:25:14):
Yeah, and they have a woman president. Okay, Well, be
careful down there, be careful. I used to live near
Mexico right in there, like near the border South. Oh
really so yeah, but I mean I was still in America.
But you be careful once you cross that.
Speaker 21 (01:25:32):
All the incredible food they have right there.
Speaker 12 (01:25:35):
Oh yeah, I had a good time. I lived there
for two years, so yeah, I mean you will enjoy it,
but just be careful now in these days and times,
it's you know, yeah, careful, be aware, be aware.
Speaker 10 (01:25:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (01:25:49):
Well, let's go any any anywhere, any anywhere you go.
Speaker 39 (01:25:52):
You know, it's a city, you know, I feel I
just I just feel like, you know, I mean, follow
the rules I find, like, yes, tether your phone to
your body because somebody is gonna ride by on a
bike and grab it.
Speaker 10 (01:26:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:26:07):
Yeah, just be aware of your surroundings.
Speaker 12 (01:26:09):
Stay on the main path, all these little paths and
yeah yeah, all right, are you ready.
Speaker 2 (01:26:16):
To spill some tea with me?
Speaker 21 (01:26:18):
Let's spill some tea.
Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
What kind of tea do you drink?
Speaker 11 (01:26:22):
Tea?
Speaker 21 (01:26:23):
Earl Gray?
Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
Oh okay, that was a Star Trek joke, but it
was the sea I missed it.
Speaker 21 (01:26:31):
I do love Earl Gray tea.
Speaker 12 (01:26:33):
Okay, Okay, Well, I like livetin decaffeinated and I don't
need all that caffeine. I'm already hype. So yeah, like,
let's decaffeinated. I like to mix it with a peach
bag as well to give it a little extra and
put a little bit of lemon juice in it.
Speaker 21 (01:26:50):
Doctor Stones, I'm having a little trouble hearing you right now.
Speaker 2 (01:26:54):
No, no, don't have trouble there. There you go there,
I mean, okay, yeah, tech tech. We might need your
husband for the tech a.
Speaker 12 (01:27:05):
All right, So we're gonna go to a quick commercial break,
and when we come back, we're gonna spill the holy tea.
That's what we spill and drink around here, all right,
So we will be right back after this commercial break.
Speaker 11 (01:27:17):
Working is what.
Speaker 29 (01:27:18):
Keeps us the flow. So what happens when you're sick
or hurt and can't work for weeks at a time.
How will you pay your bills and keep yourself and
your family afloat until.
Speaker 35 (01:27:28):
You can work again.
Speaker 9 (01:27:29):
You probably already.
Speaker 11 (01:27:31):
Ensure your car and home.
Speaker 10 (01:27:32):
What about your income?
Speaker 29 (01:27:34):
Income Protector is a disability insurance policy that will blow
you up to five thousand dollars per month if you're
totally disabled and not able to work due to an
accident or injuring. And that is the kind of pretension
that will help you weather any store, and while you're disabled,
you don't have to pay premims and you can also
increase the benefit on two separate option dates. And your
(01:27:57):
flolancy is guaranteed renewable until you're sixty five. The benefits
are paid for up to two years, and you are
an over whether it's an accident or sickness on We're
off the job twenty four to seven. Combined Insurance has
been protecting families and paying claims for nearly one hundred years.
(01:28:18):
Talk to a Combined insurance agent about income Protector.
Speaker 4 (01:28:23):
And keep you and your family's sale.
Speaker 12 (01:28:41):
All right, it is time to spill the tea. Are
you ready to spill the tea with me today?
Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
Danny, I am ready to spill the tea.
Speaker 12 (01:28:49):
All right, let's spill the tea. So our first story
is about rapper Wiz Khalifa. So he thinks that the
Earth is flat. So he was on the Joe Button
podcast and he was to walk into the co host
doctor Mark Lama Hill and Melissa Ford and of course Joe,
Butden and a few others were on the couch and
Melissa asked him if the Earth is flat? Uh, So,
(01:29:14):
I'm gonna go ahead and play the clip and then
we will discuss.
Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
Is the Earth round?
Speaker 42 (01:29:22):
I would say, no, what shape is it? I just
believe that we live on a flat plane. Yeah, like
a huge flat plane. Yeah, it's only because I've traveled
so much and I see, like you ever get to
the edge of the Earth.
Speaker 11 (01:29:37):
Nah, it's not that there's more.
Speaker 42 (01:29:40):
I think that there's more masses than just what we
see just the earth, because we lived it was one
thing before and it's.
Speaker 2 (01:29:47):
Like spread out, so it's layered like a pastry.
Speaker 42 (01:29:50):
I wouldn't say layered like a patry. I would just
say like if this rug was was the world, we
would probably be like over there somewhere, and then there's just.
Speaker 4 (01:29:58):
Ways that we have got got it.
Speaker 5 (01:30:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 42 (01:30:02):
Yeah, that's what I think, because when I travel the
routes that we take and how we do it, it's
not possible to go up and down.
Speaker 11 (01:30:10):
You're just going straight.
Speaker 27 (01:30:13):
I never thought about that.
Speaker 11 (01:30:14):
Yeah, yeah, that's the only reason I think that.
Speaker 24 (01:30:21):
Dog of course, you can say it for a second.
Speaker 42 (01:30:27):
Just I never was on one place and then went
to the other coast from that place, and you always
go the long way.
Speaker 24 (01:30:39):
You never just go like like how they talk.
Speaker 42 (01:30:42):
About emergency land emergency landings don't really be what would
make sense if you was looking at the map.
Speaker 27 (01:30:49):
I don't want that's what?
Speaker 24 (01:30:52):
Well, so why are we talking about conspiracy?
Speaker 6 (01:31:10):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:31:10):
There it is?
Speaker 12 (01:31:11):
Where's Khalifa thinks the world is flat? So Melissa Ford
axed him if the earth was round, and so he
gave his thoughts, what are your thoughts, Dannie?
Speaker 39 (01:31:24):
So that the gist of his argument is that when
he travels, you just go straight, yes, and I gotta see, like,
you know, if you don't have it, like like if
somebody didn't have any other information, I do feel like
that would be a good argument.
Speaker 21 (01:31:47):
But I mean.
Speaker 39 (01:31:49):
Having other information and I hope he has access to
other information. Is your friend your planets?
Speaker 21 (01:32:02):
But I mean it does it? It's not an illogical argument.
Speaker 12 (01:32:06):
Well, but you know what was so funny if somebody said,
did you ever get to the edge, because like, when
you get to the edge, what's gonna happen?
Speaker 2 (01:32:13):
You're gonna fall off? Like what's going happened? It's all
water dripping from the ocean's like, where.
Speaker 1 (01:32:20):
Is it going?
Speaker 21 (01:32:22):
It's like an infinity pool?
Speaker 2 (01:32:24):
I mean, oh my goodness. And he said that.
Speaker 12 (01:32:31):
When he flies, you you always go the long way around.
You never go like around the other way. So why
don't you you know, you got private jets and stuff
telling him to go the long way. You know what
I'm saying, Like, prove it is, that's what you gotta
go that long way. Don't go to loong and go
the other way, you know what I'm say. So you
(01:32:52):
can kind of like ye, yeah, you got you got
that control. I'm sure that y'all arrange that with you know,
air traffic controls.
Speaker 39 (01:33:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, just have your pilot do a switch through,
like yeah, you know, for science, just for science, faith,
just just for science.
Speaker 2 (01:33:10):
But you know, social media had a field day. They
were like, but you got a new album out and
it has a.
Speaker 12 (01:33:17):
Globe on it, it has it has a globe on it.
Why do you have a globe if you don't believe
in this globe? Why don't you have a flat earth?
And then the thing is he said, there's more stuff
out there that we don't know about, and it was
connected and I was not connected, So what's connecting us
(01:33:37):
with this other stuff?
Speaker 2 (01:33:39):
Like is it just a hole there? And then there's
other stuff.
Speaker 12 (01:33:42):
I just I would have kept asking because I want
to know what how did where's all this other stuff at?
Speaker 19 (01:33:48):
Then?
Speaker 21 (01:33:48):
Yeah, like I'm curious, like so hard? Does that mean?
Is Mars flat too?
Speaker 19 (01:33:55):
Like?
Speaker 21 (01:33:55):
Is Venus mercury?
Speaker 19 (01:33:57):
Like?
Speaker 21 (01:33:57):
Are all the other planets also flat?
Speaker 1 (01:34:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:34:01):
All right, let's move to the next story. So this
next one is about Shack.
Speaker 12 (01:34:04):
So he had to take an emergency bathroom break in
the middle of a TV segment. So he was shooting
inside the NBA, which is a live show. He ran
out of the studio to take a bathroom break, and
the rest of the co hosts could not believe it.
So I'm gonna go ahead and play that clip and
we'll come back and discuss.
Speaker 24 (01:34:23):
Can make the other thing about Kawhi is you know
what you all right?
Speaker 4 (01:34:28):
Big fella?
Speaker 27 (01:34:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 24 (01:34:28):
Catch it the crap, Go ahead, keep talking, joke. Yeah,
we're on TV.
Speaker 27 (01:34:34):
I know what we're doing.
Speaker 24 (01:34:35):
That's that olive all you've been drinking?
Speaker 37 (01:34:37):
Now you take some matches with you, Hey, listen, he
could hold it after forty you can hold it?
Speaker 4 (01:34:46):
What's it first? That wasn't something planned, was it?
Speaker 9 (01:34:53):
No?
Speaker 37 (01:34:54):
Listen, he was in the back talking about he's a
drink alcohol of claring he's been drinking all the I
didn't want to clean his gun's clean.
Speaker 4 (01:35:04):
I did not like his gate is he allowed? That
was not a ternical wark right there. He've been drinking,
he says.
Speaker 24 (01:35:12):
He read somewhere, if you drink a shot of olive ball.
Speaker 4 (01:35:17):
I saw them doing that the other day in the makerpoot.
They've been doing it.
Speaker 24 (01:35:20):
They've been doing it. That they're gonna do it.
Speaker 4 (01:35:21):
You have to do it for two weeks and miss
a lot of airtime.
Speaker 37 (01:35:27):
Hey, listen, listen, I just hope we got enough matches
around please turned his mic off.
Speaker 27 (01:35:31):
That's all.
Speaker 24 (01:35:33):
That's another issue. Hey, somebody go get some lighters. O
my god.
Speaker 37 (01:35:37):
Yeah, you can't even you can't say it away from that.
You can't even make You can't even know what I
was going to say about choir. And he has before
he goes, we need to get to think I was.
Speaker 24 (01:35:49):
He reminds on her head.
Speaker 10 (01:35:50):
So what's a serious look I get.
Speaker 4 (01:35:57):
Now he's looking there was the gate, Hey number one?
Speaker 24 (01:36:01):
Drinking that water? Ok, hey, listen, that drinking that water.
Speaker 27 (01:36:06):
Drink water.
Speaker 24 (01:36:08):
Chucks talking so much? What should finish your points that
we can go to break? Y'all ain't gonna be over
here tied a bullet.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
All right.
Speaker 12 (01:36:35):
So that was Shack running to the bathroom while they
were taping live. So adult diaper brands have been wanting
to send him some diapers. They want to make them
custom made for him. Of course depends in on the
action North Shore. And they also put a portable toilet
(01:36:57):
inside the studio.
Speaker 2 (01:36:58):
So what are your thoughts up?
Speaker 12 (01:37:01):
One of those party was you know the big the
big rectangular once you go to at the fair, So
it was your thoughts.
Speaker 21 (01:37:09):
It's not a bad idea.
Speaker 39 (01:37:10):
Emergencies happened, Yes, they do. I gotta be honest, like
I was. I was worried that that would its gonna
happen to me while I was talking to you today.
Speaker 12 (01:37:18):
Jesus, what else I would have had to keep going
with the TA you come back when you need to
come back, or take the phone into the bathroom and
put it on me when you pull up, just you know,
do what you gotta know. Yes, all right, So we
are so much running out of time, but I want
to get to a few more stories Diddy.
Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
We got to get to Diddy because guess what, his
trial is starting tomorrow. That's right.
Speaker 12 (01:37:44):
So, as you know, Diddy is charged with racketeering one
count for the free calls, sex trafficking two counts, and
transportation to engage in prostitution for two counts. So he
turned out a plea deal. Recently, he still says he's
not guilt on all five council Tomorrow, the jury selection
is gonna continue. So they're gonna go through fifty jurors
(01:38:06):
a day until they get forty five qualified jurors and
then they're gonna pick and they're gonna pick twelve jurors
and six alternates. So opening statements are gonna be starting
next Monday, the twelfth. So the whole jury selection is,
you know, a lot. They want to make sure that
the people are impartial, that they don't have any financial hardships.
(01:38:27):
They're gonna ask them a lot of questions about their
experience with law enforcement, media habits, have you ever been
abused and had you know, domestic violence, cheating, prostitution and
legal drugs, the music industry, their education, their occupation, all
kind of stuff, just to make sure that they get
an impartial jury. So the trial is not gonna be
(01:38:50):
televised because it's a federal case, but USA Today is
gonna be reporting live from the courtroom. So of course,
we know Diddy has seventy civil lawsuits. You know, they
claim sexual abuse, drugging, and physical abuse. He's been in
custody since his arrest in September of last year. So
what are your thoughts.
Speaker 39 (01:39:11):
It is definitely going to be hard for them to
find an impartial jury when you think about all those factors,
and you know, just the fact in any any high
profile case, like with the media scrutiny and like just
just how easy it is for like public perception to
(01:39:31):
influence jury perception.
Speaker 21 (01:39:35):
I feel like that's just going to be really tough
to find an impartial jury.
Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
Yeah, very tough.
Speaker 12 (01:39:41):
So did you see the sketch that they had of Diddy?
Did you see the sketch that they had of Diddy
from being in the courtroom recently? Like they got him,
they did not raise Oh, they got him looking like
an old man.
Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
He's gray.
Speaker 12 (01:39:57):
So I cannot wait to you know, actually see him.
I just you know, saw some of the sketches. But
they got him looking a hot mess. But he has
been allowed He requested if he could get out of
those prison clothes and put on some regular clothes, So
they did allow him to do that they gave him
five They said that he can have five button down shirts,
five sweaters, five pairs of socks, five pairs of pants,
(01:40:21):
and two pairs of shoes that don't have laces. You know,
they don't always let them have laces because they could
hang themselves.
Speaker 21 (01:40:26):
So then do they do They usually do that. That's
something that like.
Speaker 12 (01:40:33):
If you yes, it's unlawful for them not to let
you get out of the prison clothes. So somebody else
was like, oh, he thinks he's special though, No, it's
it's it's the law. You can't get out of those
prison clothes.
Speaker 2 (01:40:44):
Yeah, yeah, just to cop.
Speaker 12 (01:40:47):
You know, you you know, you want them if they can,
if that can help the perception you know that, you know,
let that be fair.
Speaker 2 (01:40:54):
So that's that's available.
Speaker 39 (01:40:56):
Yeah, you allow people some agency how they present themselves, especially.
Speaker 12 (01:41:01):
Yes, all right, so I want to get to this
next story. Shannon Sharp. That has been a big trending
story lately as well. So he has been on top
of the world with his one hundred million dollar media
deal for Club Shayshaye and Nightcap. So you know, he's
interviewed famous people like kat Williams, o Cho Sinko, a
lot of people Amanda seals and they spill lots of tea.
(01:41:25):
So he also appears as a regular on ESPN's First
Take with stephen A.
Speaker 26 (01:41:31):
Smith.
Speaker 12 (01:41:32):
But Gabriella Zuniga, which is an OnlyFans model, has filed
a lawsuit against him recently. She wants half that money,
that's why she wants fifty million, and she's accusing him
of sexual assault, emotional bruce abuse and that basically saying
that she has been co erthed during their relationship, which
(01:41:54):
allegedly began in twenty twenty three. She says that he
raped her in October of last year and in January,
so she in it of course, has denied the allegations.
He says that their relationship was consensual, and he said
that he's filing a lawsuit against her, counter suing for defamation.
So since then he has stepped down from his role
(01:42:15):
on ESPN's First Take.
Speaker 2 (01:42:17):
So what's your thoughts.
Speaker 39 (01:42:20):
I mean, a relationship can be consensual, but but not
that doesn't mean that everything that's done within the relationship
is consensual.
Speaker 21 (01:42:30):
Okay, So the words he's using, you know, I mean
that I yeah, Like, I mean, even even if you
are in a relationship with someone. They can they can
still wrong you, they can still violate you.
Speaker 39 (01:42:48):
So it's it's, it's, it's it's it's a rough thing
for me to see because I have I've I've been
in in a relationship like that.
Speaker 2 (01:43:03):
So yeah, it's it's difficult for me to.
Speaker 39 (01:43:09):
See and you know, see it, and it just kind
of know the different circumstances that other women might be
in and and.
Speaker 21 (01:43:18):
You know it's not I gotta admit that it's not
a case I'm super familiar with.
Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
Okay, well, I'm going to give you some more back.
Speaker 39 (01:43:25):
Definitely something thats at my heart strings just because of
my own experience.
Speaker 2 (01:43:29):
Right, I guess first of all, I'm like, why are
you dating a twenty year old? How old are you?
Speaker 12 (01:43:35):
She's a baby? You know what I'm saying. Why you
didn't get a grown woman? I mean, she's grown technically,
but come on, she could be your daughter. First of all,
I didn't realize she was that young.
Speaker 21 (01:43:44):
I didn't want you.
Speaker 12 (01:43:45):
She's like a baby. Google her, Google her, Gabrielle Zunaga.
She looked like a baby.
Speaker 21 (01:43:51):
So doesn't your brain not fully develop until you're twenty five?
Speaker 2 (01:43:56):
Somebody?
Speaker 12 (01:43:56):
How are you attracted to this woman. What are you
talking about? I'm about to play a conversation. Then I'm
gonna play it in a minute. But the lawyer. His
lawyer says that he offered her ten million dollars to
settle the rape claims before she went public. Reminds me
of Cassie. She took they taking this out the book
of Cassie. So he wanted to shut all that down
before she ran her mouth. But her lawyer didn't accept
(01:44:19):
it because Sheannon Sharp said that he was innocent, and
so he's like, oh you innocent, We ain't taking it.
Speaker 2 (01:44:24):
We go on public. But guess who her lawyer is,
Tony Busby. You know who that is? I don't.
Speaker 12 (01:44:31):
That's the one that was suing Diddy and jay Z.
And remember that girl dropped the lawsuit against jay Z.
So I'm like, Tony, really that you're gonna keep doing
it because jay Z had you out here looking crazy
with that old girl that couldn't even remember all the events.
So now you got another famous person. So AnyWho, So
(01:44:52):
the two of them met at the gym in la
and became intimate. Things soured when he accidentally went live
when he was intimate with another the woman. So they
haven't been getting along since, so she released a tape
of him threatening to choke her. So I'm gonna play
that right quick, like.
Speaker 19 (01:45:16):
I don't know anything I say, You're just gonna like
get mad at and you're just gonna hang up on me.
Speaker 2 (01:45:21):
So I feel like.
Speaker 27 (01:45:23):
I'm not gonna hang up on you.
Speaker 28 (01:45:24):
Here's what it is?
Speaker 19 (01:45:26):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:45:26):
What does that even mean?
Speaker 27 (01:45:29):
Nothing?
Speaker 24 (01:45:29):
Yet? You want to be able to me?
Speaker 27 (01:45:33):
Now?
Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
So I don't want to be don't manipulate me.
Speaker 27 (01:45:38):
Don'd know that, mercy?
Speaker 24 (01:45:39):
If you said that one one more time, I'm gonna
choke you when I see it.
Speaker 27 (01:45:43):
Mm hmm, thank you.
Speaker 19 (01:45:54):
Well, I don't.
Speaker 27 (01:46:26):
You know what?
Speaker 19 (01:46:31):
Oh I don't want to be choked.
Speaker 27 (01:46:35):
Yes you do.
Speaker 24 (01:46:39):
I don't think you have a choice in the matter.
Speaker 2 (01:46:54):
Well, she got him. She was recording him with a conversation.
He said he gonna choke her. She said, I don't
want to be choked.
Speaker 12 (01:47:01):
That was the longest, whole lot of nothing, and then
finally something I'm like, okay, So yeah, he's threatened to choker.
Speaker 2 (01:47:08):
She got him on that.
Speaker 12 (01:47:09):
He's released some text messages basically showing that they were
in a relationship, and now other women or other incidents
from the past I'll say, have been coming forward where
he's you know, threatened some co workers that choke them.
Speaker 2 (01:47:23):
So just a hot mess. So what's your thoughts.
Speaker 43 (01:47:26):
Oh my gosh, it's it's there are so many cases
like this, and it just I mean, it's it.
Speaker 21 (01:47:39):
Seems like just men.
Speaker 39 (01:47:40):
When men get and you know, they get a certain
amount of power of money, and it seems to be,
you know, this kind of crime, like this kind of
treatment of women just seems to be.
Speaker 21 (01:47:55):
You know, a pattern with like wealthy and powerful men.
Speaker 39 (01:48:01):
I mean not to say that other men don't also
do that. And I did just look this woman up
and she she's right, she does look like a she
looks like a sophomore in high school.
Speaker 26 (01:48:14):
That's a little girl.
Speaker 2 (01:48:14):
She's a little girl. That's who you like.
Speaker 12 (01:48:17):
She's lovely, but uh, little girl. Well, I mean we
don't know if it's true. Again, she's the only fans model.
Do you have another job as well?
Speaker 6 (01:48:28):
I don't know.
Speaker 12 (01:48:30):
He's making one hundred million. I want half, I want fifty,
Like where does fifty come from? You know what I'm saying, Like,
you gotta.
Speaker 2 (01:48:36):
Watch who you're doing. Pillow talk with you know what
I mean. Oh, I just got this new deal one
hundred million, and she's thinking, well, I'm taking ham. I
don't know.
