No matter what your lifestyle, end of life can be
surprisingly expensive, even if you have other life insurance. There
are many expenses that may not be covered when you
are gone.
Speaker 22 (12:49):
It's one of those times when your family may really
need more protection, and most Americans don't realize how affordable
life insurance can be. Life insurance pays cash to your
beneficiaries to help your family with final expenses as they
cope with this transition the accelerated death Benefit. You can
even request the proceeds of your policy up to fifty

thousand dollars while you are still living if you are
diagnosed with a terminal condition. Combined Insurance has been protecting
families and paying claims.

when they work together. I love that, love that when
God is just using them and moving them together.
Speaker 9 (23:17):
I love that.
Speaker 10 (23:18):
Yes and honor. Thank God for her.
Speaker 14 (23:21):
Amen. So you have been in ministry for over twenty
nine years.
Speaker 26 (23:27):
Yes, celebrating thirty thirteen years anniversary of the church as
well as marriage August.
Speaker 10 (23:37):
Twelfth this year.
Speaker 14 (23:39):
Wow, so y'all got married and just started right up,
just boom. Yes, Yes, it's beautiful.
Speaker 10 (23:47):
We start the ministry and.
Speaker 26 (23:50):
Let's said in September, we started the ministry and we
got married in August twelfth, and we started ministry September fifteen,
so one month after American Ministry started.
Speaker 14 (24:04):
That is so beautiful. That is amazing. So what are
you all going to be doing to celebrate?
Speaker 27 (24:11):
Oh?
Speaker 26 (24:12):
Wow, we well, we'll be actually going on vacation we
have this year. We're having a family vacation. We're all
gone and have some fun. We all stay local right now.
But this year we're gonna do something awesome and bigger
on the following year because unfortunately, you had a little
problem with the with.
Speaker 10 (24:32):
The real I do.
Speaker 14 (24:34):
Oh no, what about you can still use your passport.
You can still use your asport to fly.
Speaker 10 (24:42):
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. Unfortunately that I renewed
quick enough.
Speaker 26 (24:49):
So you know, we had a family there, re organized
a nice family vacation, local leagues great, and we're gonna
do something big next following year.
Speaker 10 (24:59):
But to God be the glory. You know, it's good.
It's good.
Speaker 14 (25:03):
Are you going to be celebrating your thirty years of pastoring?
Speaker 10 (25:07):
Yes, well, I'm going to.
Speaker 26 (25:08):
Be celebrating that actually at the church. That's going to
be a later date this year. We're organizing stuff to
build at the church.
Speaker 14 (25:17):
That's right, that's a big year.
Speaker 26 (25:19):
Yeah, you know, people coming out, Yeah, that's a great
time and inviting people across you know, across the lanes.
Speaker 14 (25:27):
Yes, we got to celebrate.
Speaker 10 (25:30):
Now, come on now see you.
Speaker 26 (25:32):
Know food and just celebrate and give the God and
you know all the glories allow allowing us to get
to this.
Speaker 10 (25:41):
Time of thirty years. Yes, so we thank God.
Speaker 26 (25:46):
Everyone excited about it and we are so excited about it.
We're just gonna have a great time.
Speaker 14 (25:52):
Yes, you definitely have to celebrate because a lot of
people don't make it to thirty years and married.
Speaker 10 (25:56):
Yeah, thirty days for real.
Speaker 14 (26:02):
But yes, I'm like a program doctor missus Jones need
the MC and hello somebody come on now. Yeah, so
we don't talk, we're gonna have to talk about that.
But yes, I want you to do words of inspiration.
So I always like to make sure that people get
that word for the week because a lot of times
people don't make it into the church building. They like
(26:22):
to watch it on TV. You too listen to it
on the radio. So what has God put on your
heart for the people this week?
Speaker 26 (26:31):
Well, well, it's amazing because that you ask, doctor Jones,
because I ain't fishing to want to actually get get
it up and around the annaughty in person it's good
to you know, and I say it's okay to to
to watch watch the service on television, to watch you know,
(26:55):
we watch it on the media.
Speaker 10 (26:58):
When I'll tell you something you cannot you can be
then in that house of God.
Speaker 26 (27:03):
You know a lot of times people say, well, it's
only the physical church and on the physical church.
Speaker 10 (27:08):
But let me tell you something.
Speaker 26 (27:10):
If that's all you see in the physical church and
you're missing it, you're missing it because when you feel.
Speaker 28 (27:16):
Around the saints of God and that power of God
hit the Saintuary.
Speaker 26 (27:20):
I can't speak about everybody Saintuary whatever, but I know
when you come in Jesus Church of.
Speaker 10 (27:26):
The Deliverance, when you come in there, I tell you something.
It's nothing.
Speaker 26 (27:30):
There's way more than just being on the media or
on television. Because every Sunday it's a high time and
you're in the fellowship. Every day you come in for
two hours and you mess around there four hours three
till four hours of winning. You don't even know it
because it's always so anointed in the spirit of God,
(27:53):
constantly move move miraculously there.
Speaker 10 (27:56):
And we are so grateful.
Speaker 26 (27:58):
So I tells everybody this morning, a man to meet
the Lord in the sanctuary as well.
Speaker 10 (28:03):
I know we are the church. Amen.
Speaker 28 (28:06):
Our body is the tap up the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 10 (28:09):
Amen.
Speaker 26 (28:09):
That's that's true indeed. But Amen, if you really look
at it your scriptures, the possible still was meeting.
Speaker 10 (28:16):
Amen. Gathering together on the first day of the week.
Speaker 26 (28:20):
You know, you can you can meet together and uh
something where I can meet at home. But let's be
for real, how many of us really really really meet
at home? So let's not just make excuse because maybe
we just don't feel like it.
Speaker 10 (28:33):
Or don't want to go to church. That's going they
get blessed.
Speaker 28 (28:36):
It's not. It's not something you should be forced to do.
It should be something you love to do.
Speaker 26 (28:40):
When the spirit of God is in you, Amen, and
you just want to give him the glory for all
what you've done for you because it's so much that
I can say that, it's so much that that we
should be grateful for, even if we can't think it
nothing for rape, you know, just for waking us up
this morning. And I want to say this real quickly.
I'm I'm a person that I really really really thank
(29:03):
God because I came from the streets, drugs and type of.
Speaker 10 (29:06):
Hoole and you know, and robbery and stealing, and you.
Speaker 26 (29:12):
Know, I just came from a whole lot of crave
this stuff in the street, and God he brought me
through that and took me through the ranks and them
of God. So I got a reason to give a praise.
And I am so grateful on what He's done for me.
And uh, becoming up of people's pastor's apostile.
Speaker 10 (29:32):
I embraced all those in the house of God, all
those that you know, uh wanted to do His will.
Speaker 26 (29:39):
And when I find somebody with that particular man data
nording to follow them, my wife and I reach just
love to pour into them then they can so they
can they can receive it, and they could become all
that that God had given them a mandated them to do,
and the process of mandating them to do to bring
it to fruition the gift that they had that they
(29:59):
was un.
Speaker 10 (30:00):
Consciously that they actually possessed.
Speaker 28 (30:03):
And so, uh, there's a lot of things.
Speaker 26 (30:05):
That we had and we didn't even know that we had,
and I'm here to dig those things through the power
of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 14 (30:12):
Amen. Well, it sounds like you have an amazing testimony.
Speaker 26 (30:18):
So much it takes me forever to tell the stuff
that I really went through. I mean, you know, breaking
in my own mom's house and feeling money to get
to just to get some crack cocaine and drug. I mean,
it's it's some crazy stuff that I did, uh that
you know, but you know what I used to be
shame of what I did, but you know what I mean,
we have a God.
Speaker 10 (30:37):
That brings you know, that does forgive you for what
you did. You know, and uh, you know, I'm not
I'm not proud of what.
Speaker 26 (30:44):
I did, but I know through what I went through,
God made me who I am today because.
Speaker 10 (30:49):
I have helped many many people, entertained.
Speaker 26 (30:52):
To help a lot of people have gone through these
things and drug abuse and you know, and and and
you know, hurting people for no reason just to get
that correctly pay and to and to get you know,
all the drugs that I have, I've done. You know,
it's a list of them.
Speaker 10 (31:07):
And not and you know, I just thank God. But
now it's been like maybe like.
Speaker 26 (31:11):
I said, you know, matter of fact, it's been like
over the thirty three years, you know, since I even
taste anything you know, from you know, alcohol or or.
Speaker 10 (31:21):
Cigarettes or anything.
Speaker 26 (31:22):
You know, it's it's like you know, and as I said,
I'm not I'm not a I'm not a recovering I'm
not a recovering addict. I am a I'm a new
preacher in Christ because old things has passed away. And
when we have this same vacation in especially Blood of Jesus,
we don't have to call our stuff a recovering addict.
Speaker 10 (31:43):
Christ has hanced those faces away. All things is became
new in our lives and we could walker.
Speaker 26 (31:49):
Naunting up the Holy Spirit and be an asset to
the communities, you know, and across the board and give
people some real love to help those give them back.
Speaker 10 (32:01):
And that's what we're doing right now, giving back to
the people.
Speaker 26 (32:04):
And we have so much now to offering good to
back in our outreach programs you know that we have
at the church and our out the organization and as
well as our theatrical means a minister through people do
our production of Sydney Ringos films.
Speaker 14 (32:20):
Hey man, we're gonna talk about the films in a
little bit. But I know you give back a lot,
you guys give out food and clothes. I believe I.
Speaker 26 (32:27):
Saw, oh yes, yes, I outreach you the food, reaching clothes.
Speaker 27 (32:32):
Uh.
Speaker 26 (32:32):
We have just got connected with an agency helping the
young people youngest, don't snail were getting to keep it
a high school diploma, job skills development.
Speaker 10 (32:42):
We can direct people with you know, uh.
Speaker 26 (32:46):
Getting the you know, uh mental health support, such and
abuse directors, housing, help the people in the plate paying
electric gas bill, you know what I mean, even campers
and cast service. We offer so much stuff that we
can help people to get with no money at all.
You know, it's too much that we assist the community
(33:06):
community with today. As you know, even as when it
comes to career training you know in the construction to
dental Uh to feel bother me, you know, you you
know reason.
Speaker 10 (33:15):
Just help people all the way around, uh, you know
and counseling, you know, uh, you know.
Speaker 26 (33:22):
In these days because we just now we just want
to give back and we want to illstraight the love
of Christ and don't want nobody to just look at us.
So what you know, Look what a post Arabi doing,
Look what his wife has to be doing. Look what
the ministry of yourself doing, a jac Jesus done with disciples.
But if you want them to look and see us
and and you know and see us as as Christ shined.
(33:43):
We want to demonstrate Jesus, you know, we want them
to see Jesus that he loves you and and that
we are doing things, you know, to help the people
as Jesus did, and to uh and to and and
to esteem others higher than ourselves because of the greatest
among us can be servants.
Speaker 28 (34:03):
So even though he called me a postle, my wife, pastor.
Speaker 26 (34:07):
You know, I have four more ministers another pastor under
my leadership.
Speaker 10 (34:13):
But at the end of the day of doctor Jones,
we are servants living God. And that's that's what I
enjoyed doing. Servants.
Speaker 14 (34:26):
That's beautiful. Well, I do want you to pray. I
do have a lot of prayer requests. So much has
been gone on lately. So President Oh, if you're in
the chat and you want prayer, if you're in the clubhouse,
go ahead and put any prayer requests in the chat
so that the men of God can pray for you.
But these are some of the prayer requests that I
have for you. So, President Joe Biden has been diagnosed
(34:49):
with stage four cancer, and I just don't understand how
they didn't catch you earlier. But you know, God is
able We also want to pray for Rappertory Lanes. He
was stabbed fourteen times. He is serving time in prison
and one of the inmates stabbed him.
Speaker 10 (35:08):
Again.
Speaker 14 (35:09):
Tory Lanes, So Tory Lanes. He was stabbed in his back, torso, head, face.
He has two collapse along so he is recovering. I
mess some people on my journey. I was I can't
even remember where I was going. I was, I don't know,
probably a show of something. But we went to We
got off and went to the service area and this
(35:31):
lady was just talking to us in the bathroom and
she told us that she has stage four cancer. Her
name is Tony. She was in such great spirits, so
definitely want to pray for her and her son. They
were going to the doctor to take him. His body
produces too much insulin most of the time. You know
you're pancris if you have like diabetes or it doesn't
(35:53):
produce enough. She said, his body produces too much, so
we definitely want to pray for him. His name is Christian.
We want to pray for the people that were involved
in the tornado in Saint Louis. We also want to
pray because Candy Burrs from the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
She said that her aunt has Alzheimer's. Her aunt is Bertha,
(36:15):
and she's one of the people people love. She's one
of the members of the Old Lady Gang with her sister,
her mom, and her other aunt. They made a whole
restaurant just around their recipes. So Aunt Bertha, she's really
having a hard time dealing with that she has Alzheimer's.
So those are my prayer requests. And of course I
want you to pray for the show to me and
Miss Joan show and all the listeners. Our let's go
(36:37):
into the chat. I don't see any praier requests in
the chat. So anything else that God has put on
your heart to pray about, Amen.
Speaker 26 (36:47):
Follow Amen, following Jesus. They we come to you out
in the shape, form or fashion, but become at no
other nighbor. Laws is Christ, Lord, thinking Father, God's right now, Love,
and what you're about to do? Well, you said your
work Father, before I even call them anil. You said
in your word, and you stand on your word because
we said it would not go back good, but there
was accomplished.
Speaker 10 (37:05):
What you please, Lord, and we know that you has
to know where you're wording. You perform your word.
Speaker 26 (37:09):
You said, O God, that Jesus Christ, Lord, you winded
for our conch transgreention bruis for our neguarity and chastisement
of our peace was upon him and by his rights
we where here.
Speaker 10 (37:19):
Lord. We want to pray right now for I was
for kandas burden.
Speaker 26 (37:22):
Bah God, you're gore to pray, O God, So the
cancer of your body rather than the name of Jesus,
that thought that all these things of God that happens.
Speaker 10 (37:29):
For a reason.
Speaker 26 (37:30):
You said that all things work together for good, for
them that loves you, and for the call according to
your purpose.
Speaker 28 (37:34):
God, We come on follow because we know you have
an answer.
Speaker 26 (37:37):
We know that you as a God of God and
feeling God, we know you an l shall die. We
know you with Yohoa a gira. You know you know
your Johovah Rama Rama and fatherly God. We pray for
Corey lane On God, for the stabbing, O Father, you
can heal and.
Speaker 28 (37:51):
Brave immediately and rapid and spontaneous recovery.
Speaker 10 (37:55):
In the name of Jesus, we speak.
Speaker 28 (37:56):
We pray for the person with the staves for cancer,
righting Father, because.
Speaker 10 (38:00):
We know God that you are all power in your hand.
Speaker 26 (38:03):
We even pray God that we bind right now in
the name of Jesus, the person, Oh God, with the
God bes right now, Lord and Jesus might the name
that we believe you right.
Speaker 10 (38:11):
Now that you have to answer, and you as a God,
O God, that.
Speaker 26 (38:14):
Would bring not only here, but bring oceness we bring.
We pray for those in the Saint Louis com Nato
right now on God, that you will bring, O God,
and set that a shield upon them or protecting no Father.
In the name of Jesus, Oh God, and Lord, we
thank you right now, Lord, as we also ask you
the candids burden right now on Father in the name
of Jesus, where we thank you Father for with all
(38:36):
you've done. And Lord, I ask you, O God, to
humble around, Oh God, Doctor Miss John show right now,
Oh God, and Lord, has you as tall.
Speaker 29 (38:44):
To show God to make a different old God in
the land internationally, nationally all over this laying God, we
as you could see you, the blessed Lord, keep a
nought and upon it Father and everyone that listened to
her Father in the name of Jesus, that they would
be blessed by the words and every guest that comes
upon the show would be blessing. You will test their tons, O, God,
(39:04):
be to annointing dumpy and in the word they come out,
you will be for.
Speaker 10 (39:07):
Your glorying in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank you.
Speaker 26 (39:11):
And we call all these states done in the mighty
matchless and equal paraful name of Jesus Christ Lord. And
we seen you say it in your word for God.
For whatever we pray, God, you said, whatever we pray,
we can die. And when we pre believe that we
ever seen it, and you said we should have it
to balt eleven twenty four, and we believe it.
Speaker 10 (39:29):
We embrace it. And it is done in Jesus' mighty
name a man man. Amen, that's the name of the Lord.
Speaker 14 (39:39):
Amen. Amen, thank you so much for that anointed prayer. Amen,
ask Lord how you Amen?
Speaker 10 (39:46):
Thank you Jesus.
Speaker 14 (39:48):
All right, so we're gonna switch gears a little bit.
We want to talk a little bit about your film.
So you are a filmmaker. You have your own production company,
so it's with you and your wife, and you also
have pastor doctor Rick Green, and you have films. You
had one actually in the movie theater. So tell us
a little bit about that.
Speaker 26 (40:09):
Yes, so so so too to actually consolidate a lot
of things and of the process that we've been through,
you know, went through to get to this uh place
where we're at now in production and we have such
me I, we have Doctor Jones. We had quite a
way to go. But at the same time, where God
brought us from, it's just phenomenal.
Speaker 10 (40:30):
You know. I want you know, I don't want to
go all the way back.
Speaker 26 (40:33):
From where it came from because it's gonna take us
a lot of time. But I do want to say
that right now, I have uh done six movies. I've
done five movies and I'm on the sixth one now
beautiful and uh and uh when I first started, I
didn't take a service.
Speaker 10 (40:51):
I was just doing it for a hobby, you know. Uh.
I mean my first three films actually was all for hobby.
It was just you know, hobby I was.
Speaker 26 (41:00):
But God said that he had something on me, and uh,
it's based on the outreach. And so right now we
have My first movie was some Hells Living well, having
fun with it, prevention from Darkness to Light, having fun
with it. I played against the against said he at
the end okay, team, then I have Kingdom Freedom, then
(41:22):
he do it.
Speaker 10 (41:23):
Then I got.
Speaker 26 (41:24):
Seventy Destiny seventy times seven which was in the Philip
places there and euyork uh dest seventy time seven in
a glasshouse waging war with the in the movie also
last year. And now we're working on a movie that
everybody has been waiting for, Destiny to the revealing that
we were shooting on a very higher, higher level with
(41:46):
more better, better technology because we have more uh, we
have more profits, we have more uh uh equipment that
we can use, better technology, and to mix up that
we always keep saying for everybody, I said, yeah, this
is about a millionaire movie now.
Speaker 10 (42:04):
So we are we're shooting.
Speaker 26 (42:07):
We're shooting up precise and we will getting actress you
know that that has has experience and can really uh
act and portray the role that I had written as
being the writer and the director of the film. Thank
god for my partner editor doctor Rick Green, and my
wife also help us, you know, uh in the production
(42:30):
with the war up robe and everything else and making
sure everybody looking the part when.
Speaker 10 (42:35):
They come on set.
Speaker 26 (42:37):
Right now, doctor doctor uh, doctor Jones. Everything is just
phenomenal and it's working. It's working for good, you know
what I mean, it's working together for good and we're
all excited. Uh what's going on sitting there in the
films at this time?
Speaker 14 (42:54):
I love it. Well, tell everybody how they can reach you.
Speaker 26 (42:59):
So yes, first I would give you this following information
how you can contact me so I can let you
know when or when these uh films come up on
some major platforms in a few weeks, it will be
on some major platforms.
Speaker 10 (43:15):
The only film that you can.
Speaker 26 (43:17):
See right now on YouTube is is UH Redemption UH
from Darkness to Light. That's the only one you're real
see right now because the other ones uh uh my
agent have those and if I can come up on
some platforms in a few weeks with those uh.
Speaker 10 (43:35):
But you can follow me so you would know what's
going on. UH.

Speaker 10 (44:30):
Uh, and what's going on with the production.
Speaker 14 (44:33):
Okay, are you looking for any more actors?
Speaker 10 (44:39):
Uh? You asked me any more actors?
Speaker 14 (44:43):
Yes, you need more actors because you know a lot
of people they want to get into show business.
Speaker 26 (44:47):
So yes, just what we yeah, uh, doctor miss Jones,
we're doing right.
Speaker 10 (44:52):
What we do?
Speaker 26 (44:53):
We do auditions where we had a couple of auditions
for Destiny to the Revealing and uh, we actually ran
into some.
Speaker 10 (45:05):
Good actors.
Speaker 26 (45:05):
I need some great actress and actresses in uh in
these auditions because I'm gonna tell you something. I wasn't
even doing auditions because I know quite a quite a
few you know a lot of time, I know a
lot of people, you know, and I just come to
my people and I would get somebody never act and
I trained them bad, and I sit them down there
(45:27):
and tell them what I wanted to get you on,
drilling them and taking them over and over and over
again and teach them, and they became you know, they
you know, they became actors and they were able to,
uh execute what I need. But then I said, you know,
it's you know, it's time for the game to be
stepped up. So now I'm I'm dealing with more people
that has experience. So I'm doing auditions so that I
(45:48):
can see that I wouldn't have to work so hard.
You know that I had to work real hard if
I get somebody that never act before. So I have
to each out there and do auditions. And now from
ditions and probably down down the stretch, I'll be reaching
down to with my key gum sisters, you know, uh
(46:09):
Pamil Camille. I know she can also assist me and
some actress as well. So you know, I'm gonna be
looking for some people down the stretch because I have
also last week, nastly but not I'm working all the
series of Mental Health and I've done the first episode
and and so my agent was saying to me that
(46:31):
I have to make sure that each episode is at
least twenty five minutes, and then we're gonna start like
shooting on the episode because I want to get six
episodes of the mental health and get other people and
different people coming in and acting.
Speaker 14 (46:47):
Okay, well, I truly appreciate you coming on today and
definitely keep us posted with your anniversary and everything else
that you got going on in your new movies coming out.
Speaker 30 (46:57):
And yes, yes, yes, yes, I appreciate you, miss Jones
for having me.
Speaker 14 (47:04):
We gotta get your wife on next apostle, so we
got yeah, let me know if she wants to come on.
Give a word.
Speaker 26 (47:13):
Yes, just she just said her love date to the
Doctor Jones show, the show this Doctor Joe and uh
you know, yes, yes, yes, your love, yes, love and
prayer just now you know, to you and the show

Speaker 13 (52:50):

Speaker 25 (54:03):
I married twenty six years this year, twenty six years.
I'm gonna sit down an you're not gonna do her love.
Speaker 16 (54:10):
I think what most black men gonna do nowadays. I
married a black woman. I mean because a black woman
is the best woman you can marry. You know why,
you get a new woman every month.
Speaker 25 (54:22):
They changed their head. You never have to cheat.
Speaker 30 (54:24):
You don't know to.
Speaker 11 (54:25):
Heard that they got.
Speaker 25 (54:26):
That's the woman. You don't get it.
Speaker 16 (54:28):
When I first started dating my white When we first
started dating, she had to shortcut haircut with the pe
looked like he had the bear. Was like, oh, love,
gonna bring me home tonight.
Speaker 25 (54:38):
We got married. A couple of months she let the
pearl go out. Turned into a.
Speaker 16 (54:43):
Natural affront and I was like, all right, revolutionary woman
like the power got.
Speaker 25 (54:48):
Until dating she gave me all the rules.
Speaker 30 (54:50):
Then then, ladies, if you have a man, please give
him a legal woman love.
Speaker 25 (54:57):
You know they will be a gig in his future.
In there.
Speaker 16 (55:01):
Because I came home one day my wife wore way
looked like she was from the color.
Speaker 25 (55:08):
Was speaking to me.
Speaker 14 (55:28):
That was a comedy clip from our comedian that is
coming on. Let me give him a proper introduction. You
have seen him on the Michael Chase Show on HBO.
You've also seen him in Get Rich or Die Trying,
as well as several commercials including Verizon, Coca Cola, and
(55:50):
Liberty Mutual. He is also a writer for the Chappelle show.
I Want you All to show a lot of love
for Apollo's own comedian Chuck Burkes Hey Hey, what's going on.
Speaker 10 (56:08):
I'm good doctor miss Jones.
Speaker 14 (56:10):
Hey, hey you doing yoky. I didn't even know what
I read your bio all the stuff that you do,
and I'm like, okay, we're gonna talk about it about
you doing your bang.
Speaker 27 (56:20):
Oh God, God has been good.
Speaker 30 (56:21):
God has been good all the time, all the time.
Speaker 14 (56:24):
God is good. So I always like to tell everybody
where I meet my guests. So I met you, I
want to say, at comedy in Harlem there, so we
were both performing not too long ago.
Speaker 30 (56:37):
Actually, yeah, it was a fun show and it was
a great couples ministry.
Speaker 9 (56:42):
I believe it was.
Speaker 14 (56:43):
Yes, the couples came out. There was a church that
you know, came out and had something On a Sunday.
We had brunch, so it was me, you and Kenny Williams.
We had a good time and we got to show
me and you got another show coming up as well
for five Snap, So we're gonna talk about that at
the end as well, so people can come out. But
put it on your calendar.
Speaker 11 (57:03):
Now.
Speaker 14 (57:03):
We gotta show it. Comedy in Harlem for fotheringay, A
nice brunch, So we're talking about that at the end.
But let's get a little bit into what you got
going on. I love the clip that I played. I
do give it. I do give wig warnings, by the
way I give wig warners. Yes, I'm gonna let you
know right that that's what you're getting. Don't be trying
to run your fingers through my head. Don't do it
(57:24):
because you might pull my wig off and we're gonna
have a problem. Your fingers to yourself. Okay, keep your hands. Well,
I can see I'm a guy. Hey, mad somebody, but
you you can't get a new woman every night, that's right.
I got a blond wig, burgundy wig, black wig, that's right.
Swatch it up, sister, swetch it up, sisters. Hey man, somebody, yes, yes,
(57:51):
So you've been in the game for a while.
Speaker 9 (57:53):
Now.
Speaker 14 (57:53):
How long you been doing comedy?
Speaker 9 (57:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 30 (57:56):
I started way back in nineteen ninety eight, and it
was horrible.
Speaker 14 (58:03):
Okay, well, everybody gotta learn.
Speaker 23 (58:07):
Know.
Speaker 14 (58:07):
How did you know you were horrible?
Speaker 30 (58:10):
Because I looked at I looked at death comedy jam
and I thought it was just as easy as that.
And I got up on stage and realized it took
a lot more than just watching deaf comedy jams. So
facts I put into work and for years I started
learning and then you know, I got blessed to be funny.
Speaker 14 (58:25):
So amen. You know people think that it's easy to
do different things, so it's easy to be a comedian.
Oh somebody, so, oh I'm gonna be a DJ. I'm
a DJ now there, Well that's you only need to
So I'm gonna be a DJ. You gotta put the
training in. You know what I'm saying. You can't just
get up and do whatever and think, oh it's easy.
Now you first of all, you got to have that gift.
(58:47):
You know what I'm saying. You got in that annointment,
and you gotta learn the ropes exactly.
Speaker 10 (58:54):
You can't.
Speaker 30 (58:55):
You can't depend on your bus driver to be your dentist.
Different skills hello, some money, Yeah, you mess around, you
end up with no teeth.
Speaker 14 (59:05):
Yes, and the dentist Kate be the bus driver?
Speaker 30 (59:08):
Amen.
Speaker 14 (59:09):
Hello, you don't know how to drive no bus, especially
the way they go along? Was they be two buses?
What do you haveing?
Speaker 10 (59:14):
No?
Speaker 14 (59:14):
Thank you?
Speaker 11 (59:15):
No, thank you?
Speaker 14 (59:18):
So yes, so you were terrible, so you just kept.
Speaker 30 (59:21):
I kept that. I went into the comedy clubs, I
worked on it, read the books. I had some great mentors.
One of the first people was Kevin. Kevin, he's very
funny brother. He's still doing his thing. He's the reason
why I started stand up comedy, and you know, just
learning from the vets and getting on stage and learning
how to do what I do and found my voice.
Speaker 14 (59:44):
Yes, but yeah, you know, you have to have a mentor.
I think that mentorship is important, you know, whether you
got to pay for it or not. Some people will
mentor you for free, and some people like, you know,
I'm a comedy coach and I'm charging and so sometimes
you just have to invest in your gift. But yes,
I think that is very important. And the good thing is,
you know a lot of times when you get up,
(01:00:05):
like especially in the beginning. I remember I started in
LA and I would get off stage and everybody be
at the comedy club, especially the black ones, and they'd
be like, ooh, you should change that joke to this.
I remember Chris Spencer was like, oh, it'd be funny
if you say this, you.
Speaker 26 (01:00:19):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 14 (01:00:20):
So sometimes you just get that free line like y'ab
that was that was a good change right there, you know.
Speaker 30 (01:00:25):
And you're getting it from some of the best people
out you got Chris Spencer to give you some advice.
Speaker 14 (01:00:30):
That's exactly exactly say he right for everything, b et,
you know everything. So yes, just get out there, keep
doing your thing, whatever you want to do. So he
is the one that started you in comedy. So what
did he say? Come on you funny, what are you saying?
Speaker 30 (01:00:46):
He said to me, if you really want to do this,
you need to come meet me at New York Comedy Club.
And I went out there and I started learning from him,
Seymour Swan with Berto Vanderpool, all these guys that I
admired and watching them, and over the years I just
really developed the craft. It's a craft. It's not just
something you wake up and you do.
Speaker 14 (01:01:07):
It is and then a joke has structure. You got
to learn the structure. Absolutely, yes.
Speaker 30 (01:01:14):
And now we have these, you know, people that do
it through the Internet and social media. When they get
a real audience that's live. It's a different thing than
when you have a camera. It's a totally different thing
and you got to be ready for it. Yes, So
some of them are doing it and some of them
need more help.
Speaker 10 (01:01:33):
Well, but we just pray for all of them.
Speaker 30 (01:01:35):
We pray for all of them.
Speaker 14 (01:01:36):
Yes, So you wrote for the Chappelle Show, So how
did you get that gig? And tell us about that?
Speaker 30 (01:01:43):
All right? So I was with a manager at the
time and they were accepting sketches, and so I put
together a group of sketches and they bought one, and
it was Black Zilla, about a fully story to all
black men terrorizing Japan, and I rooted as a repetitive
series that was hopefully going to have multiple sketches. They
(01:02:06):
shot the first one and then after a while, you know,
they had the whole thing where Dave had left the
season and wasn't going to do it anymore, and I
was hoping that I would get more on but I
got that one in there. It is, so Blackzilla was
the one that I had written.
Speaker 14 (01:02:20):
Black Zilla. Yes, I love that. So when I was
reading your bio, I was like, you're a professor. Look
at you a professor at a college.
Speaker 9 (01:02:31):
Yep.
Speaker 30 (01:02:31):
I've been teaching acting. I'm an actor by trade by
you know. I went to Columbia University for my master's
in Fine Arts and acting, and then I picked up
That's where I started staying when I was at Columbia,
and then I picked up stand up and I've been
acting and writing.
Speaker 10 (01:02:46):
And directing as well. So I'm at Montclair State University.
Speaker 30 (01:02:49):
I teach acting, one acting, two directing room directing too,
and they also let me teach playwriting and stand up comedy.
So I got a stand up comedy class that we
actually perform a comedy in Harlem at the end of
their sinister and that's an excellent spot to be at.
Speaker 14 (01:03:06):
What fun. So there are a lot of people that
you know want to be a star. I want to
be an actor. So what are some acting tips that
you could give us.
Speaker 30 (01:03:16):
You got to get into a class and train. You
can't just think about memorizing lines and that's it. You've
got to learn the nuances of what it means to
bring your breast to your body and your voice to
a character. And most acting legitimate acting schools will teach
you how to utilize those all those things to bring
about a character, how to break down the script. It's
(01:03:38):
not just about memorization and reading it back. It's more
to it than that. So if you get if you're
serious about this, getting a legitimate class and start training,
and you'll develop a way of bringing characters to life.
And go to your local theater companies get involved. There's
a lot of community theaters that you can start there
(01:04:00):
and it won't be so expensive as going to a
acting school.
Speaker 14 (01:04:05):
Okay, all right, so we're gonna go ahead and spill
some tea. You ready to spill some tea with a sister.
Speaker 30 (01:04:11):
Let's spill it.
Speaker 14 (01:04:12):
What kind of tea do you drink?
Speaker 10 (01:04:14):
I'm usually.
Speaker 30 (01:04:17):
A citrus citrus, mango citrus, or like, yeah, one of
those citrus teas.
Speaker 14 (01:04:22):
Okay, yeah, I like some fruity teas. I really just
started trying like the fruity teas. I used to always
have to have a black bag in there too, but
I said, you know, but I'm gonna try it with
just the fruit. So now I'm into the peach with
the raspberry. The two together, Oh yeah, tastebury good. And
then I put a little lemon juice in it, and
just it's good. I'm trying to stay away from the honey,
(01:04:44):
even though I love me some honey.
Speaker 30 (01:04:46):
I used the agave syrup because I'm trying to stop
from being anything pre diabetic, port too, anything like that.
Speaker 14 (01:04:52):
But it isn't a gove too sweet too. That's why
I cut out the honey, because I overdo it'd be
there so much honey up in there.
Speaker 30 (01:04:59):
But it's got little levels better.
Speaker 9 (01:05:02):
You see.
Speaker 14 (01:05:04):
That's what it is. Okay, okay, okay, that's interesting. I
just been doing without. I don't like it as much,
but I just been because I'm with you, like I've been, like,
I overdo it when I do do it, I just
overdo it over.
Speaker 30 (01:05:18):
You're a real tea drinker.
Speaker 14 (01:05:21):
Well I need some right now, but yeah, tea take
time to make. I be like, can I just pour
something out of a bottle or something? I got the
heat stuff up. Yeah, but I do love some good
sea right five minutes. I don't feel like it. You
can tell I don't do no cooking. I don't even
want to make no tea.
Speaker 30 (01:05:40):
That's because you're.
Speaker 10 (01:05:46):
Better.
Speaker 14 (01:05:48):
I'm just saying, can I get an as system please?
But anyhow, all right, so we got tea here, we
got the holy tea. So you ready to spill some
holy tea with a system.
Speaker 30 (01:05:58):
Let's spill it all right.
Speaker 14 (01:05:59):
I was gonna go to a commercial, but you know what,
for sake of time, because I want to make sure
we get all these stories in and we got another
guest coming on that we want to make sure we
get give him so much time. We got the Williams
singers coming on, so we're going to get him some time.
So let's just go straight into the team. So this
first story is about Salt and Pepper. We all grew
(01:06:20):
up on them. They just performed last week on American
Idol Finaling. They were recently inducted into the Rock and
Roll Hall and Fame. But my girls got a lawsuit
going on, that's right. They are suing Universal Music Group
you MG to reclaim control of their masters. So they
are citing violations of the Copyright Act. So the label
(01:06:42):
is refusing to honor the copyright clawback rights, so they
removed some of Salt and Pepper's music from streaming. So basically,
the lawsuit claims that the nineteen seventy six Copyright Act
gives artists the right to reclaim ownership of master recordings
and terminate past agreements after thirty five years. So what
(01:07:04):
are your thoughts on that.
Speaker 30 (01:07:06):
Get the rights back?
Speaker 33 (01:07:07):
That's right, because them companies have been making so much.
They didn't making more than Salt and Pepper off of them.
They didn't making Paprika, they didn't making they salt, no Salt.
Speaker 30 (01:07:16):
They don't take everything up for them, and they deserve
it because they been in that time and they they
wrote them, they wrote the lyrics, they performed them songs.
Speaker 33 (01:07:24):
That's why they have been not paid, but they should
have gotten paid. So get your Salt Pepper, get your Peprika.
Speaker 30 (01:07:30):
Get your lowry lowries, get every get your miss dashed,
get it back.
Speaker 11 (01:07:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:07:37):
Yeah, So they filed notices to claim their master rights
in twenty twenty two, owned by UMG and London Records.
They signed in nineteen eighty six and nineteen ninety two.
So you MG said that they're gonna hold Salt and
Pepper's rights hostage. They trying to hold their rights at hostage.
That's why they're suing them, because they won't give them up.
Speaker 30 (01:08:00):
They have to pay the residuals based upon twenty twenty
three and afterwards. That's three years of residuals that they
don't want to give up. And that's a lot of money.
Y'alln't realize some of these songs are in movies and
television shows and our commercials. Yeah, and they are paid heavily,
and those artists don't receive the pennies and that's another
(01:08:22):
thing is going to realize. Residuals ain't what people think.
Speaker 10 (01:08:25):
It is, you know.
Speaker 14 (01:08:28):
Yeah, So you know, several of their records were up
for termination of their copyright last year. There's going to
be a few up this year and some for next year.
So you and G's copyright ownership interest in the sound
recording is not subject determination. I don't even know all
exactly what all that means, but basically they still got
to write to some of it. So Salt and Pepper's
(01:08:50):
also seeking actual damages over one million dollars and a
permanent injunction to confirm their rights to the songs recorded.
So I guess that's why some people say, you know what,
I'm going independent. We ain't doing all this with these
record labels.
Speaker 5 (01:09:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 30 (01:09:05):
Yeah, the music industry is rough.
Speaker 10 (01:09:08):
It's rough.
Speaker 30 (01:09:10):
I wouldn't I wouldn't envy anybody who is in it,
because by the time you go from the managers to
the actual artists, to the actual publishing company to the
actual all the all the all the levels that you
have to go through, by the time you get to
the artists, they don't get anything compared to these other people.
(01:09:31):
So it's gonna be a long, hard fight. I pray
that they get it and that they family will benefit
from it, because it might even be something that might
not be done in their own lifetime.
Speaker 14 (01:09:42):
But you know, the thing is, like you're such a
big company and now you like, oh so since y'all
soon and us and you complaining, We're gonna go ahead
and take your music off streaming. Like so now people
can't even access it. Yeah, like you can go try
to buy it on Amazon. It ain't there, you know
what I mean? Like, really, we all punishment now for real? Yeah,
if you're in punishment, so.
Speaker 30 (01:10:04):
I feel you put At the same time, they're not being.
Speaker 10 (01:10:07):
Taken advantage of because that music ain't there.
Speaker 30 (01:10:10):
Yeah, it's one or the other. And hopefully they can
do another tour and get money for their live performances.
Speaker 14 (01:10:16):
Yeah, well we will continue to watch. So the next
story inmates, I know you saw that the ten inmates
escaped from the New Orleans prison. So this happened on
May sixteenth, around one am. So they were discovered missing
at eight thirty am, so they had a seven and
a half hour head start. So found out that the
(01:10:39):
maintenance worker helped. He's turned off the water on a toilet.
He said that they threaten him. Of course they called
him already. So the inmates reached the wall behind a
toilet and then they exited a loading dock door. They
scaled the fence using blankets and found out. I'm like,
(01:11:00):
how they do all that? So the worker that was
supposed to be watching them had left there, supposed to
go get some food, and so they escaped unnoticed. So
they have only captured five, five out of the ten,
and they've been gone all this time, over a week now.
They only caught five out of the ten. Some of
them were convicted murderers, so be careful everybody. The reward
(01:11:21):
was ten thousand dollars, and somebody actually snitched and got
that ten thousand, and now they have raised it to
twenty thousand dollars. So what's your thoughts.
Speaker 30 (01:11:31):
I think this is the making of Shawshank Redemption Part two.
That's a new movie right there. I'm just saying, I
want to see this movie. I want George Clooney to
be in it. I want I want to see Brad Pitt.
Speaker 27 (01:11:44):
I want to see him.
Speaker 14 (01:11:46):
Why they are black on it? It makes the black
as usual bit.
Speaker 10 (01:11:50):
Anyhow, I just I don't want to see a reversal conduct.
Speaker 14 (01:11:56):
No, No, we're gonna have to have Michael B.
Speaker 11 (01:11:59):
Jordan in.
Speaker 14 (01:11:59):
And I'm just saying that.
Speaker 10 (01:12:04):
They got to be there. They got to be the
cops to catch them. Nah.
Speaker 30 (01:12:07):
But this is this is something that like, you know,
these guys got some skills in some way they need
to be put into use. Once you catch them, you
put them into the to the CIA or something like that.
Let them use them skills to solve these problems around
the world.
Speaker 14 (01:12:25):
Man, that's just like, that's crazy. How you escape? How
was it easy that?
Speaker 10 (01:12:31):
You know?
Speaker 14 (01:12:32):
They rolled on the wall? This was too easy?
Speaker 9 (01:12:34):
L O L.
Speaker 14 (01:12:34):
They was making fun of them they put in I
don't understand because I used to work in the prison.
So I'm like, how y'all get out at the front door,
that's where all the guns are. The how y'all scale
a wall. I'm like, this is a bob wire fence,
all kinds of razors on it. They used the blankets
(01:12:55):
so they wouldn't cut themselves.
Speaker 30 (01:12:56):
I'm just okay, that's ingenuity. I said, you knew it
right there.
Speaker 10 (01:13:01):
I mean, they got skills they need.
Speaker 30 (01:13:03):
Matter of fact, the five that they caught they need
to train the military.
Speaker 10 (01:13:08):
That's what they're using for you.
Speaker 30 (01:13:09):
You you are now having to train the military for
the rest of your life on how you did what
you did. So we can we can always escape, but
we can always engage.
Speaker 10 (01:13:18):
Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 14 (01:13:19):
That's crazy. And then they found out two women also helped,
so they helped them get some food and transportation when
they got out. So now those sisters got bonds to
a two point five million and one million. I'm like,
oh my goodness. Oh so we'll see. And the ones
they called it was right in New Orleans. I'm like,
how y'all ain't make it to Mexico yet? Sometimes you
(01:13:42):
just hide and clean, hide in the place, walking around
the French corner.
Speaker 30 (01:13:46):
I'm like, what they wanted to try the new Popeye's
chicken sandwich, That's what it was.
Speaker 14 (01:13:51):
That's something. I'm like, you got to Mexico and shave.
Speaker 30 (01:13:55):
Your head food and it was like, oh, we gotta
try this.
Speaker 14 (01:14:00):
All right, So we got two more stories. I want
to try to get too. So Smokey Robinson, he has
been charged with a fifty million dollars sexual assault lawsuit
against him. So four former employees claim that he assaulted
them over the years, and they want fifty million dollars
in damages. Of course, he denies it. They were his housekeepers,
(01:14:20):
so they say it happened from twenty twelve to twenty twenty.
So one lady she said that she was assaulted twenty
three times in six years. The lawsuit says that he
walked around naked and made unwanted advances. They said that
his wife yelled at them and used derogatory language, and
they say that they earn below minimum wage. Smokey Robinson
(01:14:43):
is now eighty five years old, So what's your thoughts?
Speaker 30 (01:14:47):
Wow, I don't know what to say about that.
Speaker 10 (01:14:52):
I don't know what to say about that.
Speaker 33 (01:14:54):
Twenty three times, I mean after time twelve, I've been
saying something like, look, you gotta put some clothes on
when I come over to clean something.
Speaker 10 (01:15:04):
Mm hm, this is.
Speaker 30 (01:15:06):
Happening twelve times, mister Robinson, put your robe on.
Speaker 14 (01:15:10):
My thing is okay? So why you and you had
made below minimum wage? Your the wife yelled as you
why you ain't leave? You ain't wasn't making no money?
Clearly you said that why you ain't get another job?
Speaker 30 (01:15:23):
Like hmm, wow, you know what in this day and age.
I can't fault them because they might have been deported
and that that would have been worse for them.
Speaker 10 (01:15:35):
Who knows.
Speaker 14 (01:15:36):
So now you're a citizen. Now you're a citizen bringing lawsuits.
I'm confused.
Speaker 30 (01:15:42):
We'll see, we sure see. But somebody by smoking your robe? Wow,
we'll dog crawl.
Speaker 11 (01:15:48):
Wow.
Speaker 14 (01:15:49):
I just think it sounded like a money grabbed him
in because you can leave if he come out thinking
who's staying there? Who's staying there? This is crazy to me,
And you're gonna wait till five. You're gonna wait till
he eighty five and can't remember.
Speaker 30 (01:16:02):
Like it sounds like somebody who got broken up on
she got dumped. That was probably something that was going
on for a while and she got dump But it
ain't good.
Speaker 10 (01:16:13):
It ain't good. Wow, it ain't good.
Speaker 14 (01:16:15):
All right, So you know, we got to talk about Diddy.
We only got a few minutes left, so we got
to talk about Diddy. It's so much going on. I'm
gonna try to condense it as much as possible, but
it's a lot of foolishness going on. You know, he
on trial, that's right, He been on trial for a
while now for sex trafficking and racketeering sending from allegations
made from his ex Cassie, who has been testifying about
(01:16:36):
years of abuse and co erst sex practices, so she
is a key witness on trial. She has detailed physical
and sexual abuse, including being dragged. She has also discussed
the freak alls. She has shared about the drug use
and how he used drug use to control her and
other women at parties. She said that she lived in
fear of being black mailed and physically abused. Diddy, of course,
(01:17:00):
says he's not guilty. He says that the relationships have
been consensual. His lawyers has showed text messages where Cassie
initiated freak offs and one mail escort even says that
she booked him and she paid. Some people that have
taken the stand so far. Of course, his Cassie, her
(01:17:20):
mom also took the stand, showed some of her bruises.
Kid Cutty took the stand. They showed where his car
was bombed and he says that Diddy did it when
he was messing around with Cassie because they were on
a break. Dawn from the group Danny Kane took the stand,
which I thought was kind of strange because I thought
(01:17:41):
Aubrey would have. But you know, Donald took the stand,
says that Diddy punched Cassie in her stomach in a restaurant.
Aubrey says she ain't testifying. Some other people that may
take the stand. We'll see as Mace and I'll be sure.
He saying that Diddy put him in a coma and
he killed import. So what's your thoughts. It's a lot.
Speaker 30 (01:18:03):
Oh my, it is bad. It is bad, and I
don't know. I mean where it smoked this fire And
eventually what's done in the dark comes to the light.
So he's about to get a lot of light shined
on him, and it ain't.
Speaker 10 (01:18:19):
For his birthday.
Speaker 14 (01:18:21):
Well he ran will tracks.
Speaker 30 (01:18:27):
I think he better pray to God and turn his
life around and go from using baby oil to holy oil.
Speaker 14 (01:18:34):
Well, come on, brother, Love, that's it.
Speaker 30 (01:18:37):
I don't know, I don't know. It's bad. It's bad.
He wouldn't be he wouldn't be locked up, He wouldn't
be going through this if there wasn't something to be
found out.
Speaker 14 (01:18:45):
But the thing is, have prosecutors really proved that he
lured women and forced them to participate in sex performances?
That he directed and recorded. I mean, so far, to me,
it's just been about him and Cassie, and Cassie and
me look like a will and participant. I'm so sorry
it does.
Speaker 10 (01:19:04):
Well. There's this thing called grooming.
Speaker 30 (01:19:07):
I mean, when you think about people being groomed to
do certain things, and it's just like she was nineteen
years old.
Speaker 14 (01:19:14):
Yeah, shame on him for dealing with somebody that could
be your daughter.
Speaker 30 (01:19:17):
Yeah, nineteen years old and impressionable and wanting to be
in the business, and this business took over.
Speaker 10 (01:19:25):
I don't. I think. I think legally they got more
to they got more to prove.
Speaker 30 (01:19:29):
But I think over time they will they will present
evidence that shows whatever it happens had happened. It's a
long case. I think we're gonna be I think this
is gonna be the summer of Diddy. We're gonna be
watching the Diddy series this whole sign maybe by the
fall we might we might or you know, season finale.
We might get the season finale by fall of Christmas.
Speaker 14 (01:19:52):
Yeah, it's a lot. They said that they needed ivy
fluids to recover after the freak offs. They're saying that
he did a five heartbeats move and was hanging people
over the balcony. Well else did they say? They said
he also abused sexually abused boys and then and we
also found out they Cassie got twenty million in that
(01:20:13):
undisclosed amount. So we're finding stuff out.
Speaker 30 (01:20:17):
Anyhow, Well he got billions, So it's now I mean,
none is probably you know, dwindling down. But he's had
billions of dollars. And we gonna see, We're gonna see,
We're gonna see wash the ditties.
Speaker 14 (01:20:33):
We're gonna see. All right, we are so out of time.
So let's talk about this show that we got coming
up Father's Day. Tell them all about it.
Speaker 30 (01:20:42):
Yes, we are doing a show on Father's Day at
Comedy in Harlem, and it is gonna be off the chain.
I'm excited about it.
Speaker 10 (01:20:51):
I'm gonna talk.
Speaker 30 (01:20:52):
About me being a dad and what it means to
be a good dad, and what it means to be
a deadbeat dad, and give me all the intros and
out to that, and looking forward to performing with my
fellow you know, show hosts and whatnot. So I'm looking
forward to it.
Speaker 10 (01:21:07):
Come on out, bring bring a father, Bring a father.
Speaker 14 (01:21:10):
Yes, it's called Phil my cup. It's me Moniko La Tis.

church by the William singers, and we will have them
on on the next interview. Right after the song here
(01:22:27):
we go, keep a locked right here, put.
Speaker 15 (01:22:42):
Your hands together.
Speaker 10 (01:22:53):
I like that.
Speaker 11 (01:23:00):
If you don't mind. Fellas said, I feel like you're

I mean, but it's cool because, I mean, you know,
they're brothers and we're brothers too, so a lot of that.
Speaker 10 (01:29:50):
You know, it just goes along with the with the lingo.
Speaker 14 (01:29:53):
Yes, hey, ain't nothing wrong with that. There's another miss
Jones out there too. I don't care. I ain't changing
my name because see, I still already in entertainment in
California and I didn't even know her. So when I
came back to New York, they was like, oh, you
may have to change in him. I am not changing
it as I am. It's now I'm doctor Miss Jallson.
Now there it is.
Speaker 10 (01:30:12):
There you go.
Speaker 14 (01:30:13):
Ain't nobody changing names? Run him? So are y'all related
at all?
Speaker 26 (01:30:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:30:18):
We're we're all brothers now, I mean you you and.
Speaker 14 (01:30:20):
The Williams brothers are y'all maybe cousins.
Speaker 10 (01:30:27):
We know them very well. Actually, at one point in Time.
Speaker 27 (01:30:32):
We've done a project called in Real Time and we
actually uh uh signed to BlackBerry.
Speaker 10 (01:30:39):
Label for that project.
Speaker 27 (01:30:41):
They wanted to do some stuff with us, so, uh
but we've been knowing them for years and years and
uh we actually know them well.
Speaker 10 (01:30:49):
But we're not related, We're not blood related.
Speaker 14 (01:30:52):
Okay. Now, your group was formed by Reverend Charles D. Williams.
Is that your father?
Speaker 10 (01:31:00):
Yes? Okay, so he was in two thousand and five,
but you know he taught us everything we know.
Speaker 14 (01:31:08):
Yes, So he was a quartet singer.
Speaker 10 (01:31:11):
Oh yeah, he was that. That man was tough. He
was tough. Yeah. So what was that like growing up faster?
Speaker 14 (01:31:19):
Did y'all go around in all the different singers with him?
Speaker 10 (01:31:23):
Well?
Speaker 14 (01:31:23):
We did so.
Speaker 10 (01:31:24):
Uh.
Speaker 27 (01:31:25):
It started out so my dad would singing with a
group called the Melody Kings. And you know how I
like members, don't you know, act right and stuff like that.
So he had been singing with them for a while,
so he was you know, he sung with them for
a while, but he decided, hey, I got some kids
to know, I'd have sing so let me let me
(01:31:46):
put get my kids a shot.
Speaker 10 (01:31:48):
So we started singing and formed a group called the
Wig Family. Singers.
Speaker 27 (01:31:54):
Okay, that's what we He formed us and we started singing, witting,
traveling all over the country and stuff.
Speaker 10 (01:32:00):
He had us singing when we was little.
Speaker 27 (01:32:02):
We had basic guitars and guitars and our hands, little guys.
Speaker 14 (01:32:07):
Yeah, that's so cute, and y'all was singing and playing.
Speaker 10 (01:32:10):
Mmm, I love it now.
Speaker 14 (01:32:12):
Y'all are also called the Christian Cavaliers too.
Speaker 10 (01:32:16):
That that was the very first name. That was the
very first name.
Speaker 27 (01:32:22):
I think one of our older brothers came up with
that until we changed it to the Williams Family Singers.
Speaker 14 (01:32:30):
Okay, so tell us about your single. There is no way.
Speaker 27 (01:32:35):
Okay, so that's actually on a project. That's actually on
the project in real time. Uh, there's no way. We
just did a flip from you know, Percy Baby. We
we called him and he said, hey, man, we loved
this song. And he said, man, I think y'all would
do uh well with doing because we loved doing uh
(01:32:59):
quartet flips. We'll take anything and make it into a quartet.
Speaker 14 (01:33:02):
Song, come on now.
Speaker 10 (01:33:03):
So we we we we did that and uh, Percy
loved it, and we said, man, let's just put it out.
So we put it out on our in real Time album.
Speaker 27 (01:33:14):
And it's just been blowing up ever since. I mean
Sunday Morning Church has played for their services in the
morning along with having church. Uh yeah, but I mean
it's just we we get so much love from that
from that song. Yeah, the way we live it.
Speaker 14 (01:33:31):
So you can turn any song into a quart test song,
any song, Okay, I want you to do it right now,
Come on a B C D amazing grace, turn it
into anything.
Speaker 10 (01:33:45):
Yeah, we could do it something on another.

Speaker 14 (01:37:56):
The Oh my goodness, that is so anointed. I love
(01:38:28):
that that song got the oil all on it. Yes,
y'all can sing and you anoint it. And we love
some quartet around here now. Oh yes, they used to
call my mama the quartet chaser. Yes, yes, I love
(01:38:49):
that song. So your father never recorded any of his music,
So how does it feel to not only have recordings,
but they'd be still nominated and billboard hopping and you
own your own record label.
Speaker 27 (01:39:12):
Well, it's it's something that that our dad instilled in
us from when when we was an early age. So
uh he always thought of us that we would uh
go further.
Speaker 10 (01:39:26):
Than he would.
Speaker 27 (01:39:26):
He would always say, hey, I'm saying, but I want
you all to I want you all to go further
than than than I did. You know, of course, back
back then that we didn't have all the access to
being able to reach out to executives and stuff like
getting get into the studio and things like that.
Speaker 10 (01:39:48):
But uh, as our father was passing away, we just said, hey.
Speaker 27 (01:39:52):
Listen, we're going to do an honor for him and
make up a CD for him, which was our very
first CD called a Tribute to Dad. And after we
did that song, it just went on from there. But
it just went over so well that we just kept
going and kept going, and people started loving our music
(01:40:12):
and we just you know, got so many inspirational testimonies
from people loving our music and saving their lives and
things like that that we just kept going. We have
a charge to keep with our music, just to keep
going with it.
Speaker 10 (01:40:28):
And as far as being nominated, uh man, uh.
Speaker 27 (01:40:35):
We we are we definitely a we're definitely are are
driven for the reward. Uh there's nothing wrong with getting awards,
but the reward is our greatest mission. So uh, those
are just incentives along the way. We love the fact
that people listen to our music and uh, Stellar nominated,
(01:40:57):
Dove nominated, all those. Uh, but those are just incentives
and we just love what we do. So we just
that's our passion. We we gotta flow, We flow with
it and we keep it, keep it going.
Speaker 14 (01:41:10):
Amen. So with your record label, Desnel Music Group, do
you have anybody else on the label.
Speaker 10 (01:41:19):
Well, we we've actually we've signed like four choirs.
Speaker 27 (01:41:24):
We've had three, three to four quartet our artists, maybe
one or two solo artists. We uh with our record
label with more more of a distribution type thing.
Speaker 10 (01:41:42):
Uh Uh, they'll sign.
Speaker 27 (01:41:43):

their albums and.
