to both of them. Shout out to Moms and Tiff
who went as well. Then on Monday, I presented a
Zoom presentation called Let's Talk Radio and the Artists. That
was amazing. So I basically I was giving people the
(04:39):
keys to prepare for a powerful radio interview. So if
you were an artist, an entrepreneur and you are trying
to get on the radio, how do you get on there?
What do you do before you get on there? What
do you do when you're on there? What do you
do afterwards? So it was amazing. It was for the
New York Gospel Alliance. We had a great time. Shout
(05:00):
out to Angela, Missy Billups for inviting me and everybody
that came out to support and learn. Shout out to
doctor Gina Lloyd and Letitia Wilie for sharing their music.

Hey, y'all want to know where you can find the
best urban inspirational music Only on the Me and Miss
Jones Show.
Speaker 15 (26:16):
Welcome back.
Speaker 7 (26:19):
You're listening to the Me and Miss Jones Show. I'm
still your host, doctor Missus Jones. All right, it is
time to bring on the Man of God. So if
you have any prayer requests and you're in the clubhouse,
go ahead and put them in the chat so that
the Man of God can pray for you today.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
All right.
Speaker 7 (26:42):
So this man of God, oh my goodness, he is
a preacher, He is a gospel recording artist, he is
a songwriter. He does it all. I want you to
show a lot of love to a friend to the show,
Stefan Wiley. Hey, how are you today?
Speaker 18 (27:04):
I'm good? Are you?
Speaker 7 (27:06):
I am doing wonderful? How was your fourth of July?
Speaker 18 (27:10):
It was blessed a lot of good cookout food and
some fireworks?
Speaker 7 (27:14):
All right?
Speaker 18 (27:14):
Now you cooked, yes, a good little cooking.
Speaker 7 (27:19):
Okay, Now what you make?
Speaker 5 (27:23):
They had?
Speaker 18 (27:23):
We had a hamburger, trying to do just the basics.
Speaker 7 (27:26):
The basics.
Speaker 18 (27:27):
I was, I was at a youth event for youth
and then we're just helping them out a little.
Speaker 7 (27:32):
But oh that's good. We went to my nephews have
been here. We took them to the Nickelodeon Amusement Park
at the Dream Mall in New Jersey. So that was
my fourth. I saw a little fireworks here and there afterwards.
I missed the major ones. But yeah, yeah, so thank
(27:52):
you so much for coming on today. It's always a
pleasure to have you. You know, I think you are
the person that has done the most interviews with me
out of anybody. Yes, I think this is like your
third time on Yes, yes, yes times. Yes, you get
the award for most interviews.
Speaker 18 (28:14):
Well I saw you know you had my buddies gonna
hear Johanne Rosario. Yes, this was from Fred handon different ones.
So I know you don't be playing no. So I
find it not robbery to stay tapped into favor.
Speaker 7 (28:29):
All right, now come on somebody. Yes, so you came
on twice. Then we also did your album release party
a couple of weeks ago for your new album. Made
a decision, so we're gonna talk a little bit about
your music in a little bit. But first I want
to make sure you get this opportunity to do the
words of inspiration. So you are a pastor, I know
(28:51):
you co labor with your parents. Are you still co
laboring with them? Or have you gone out?
Speaker 18 (28:59):
It's gonna be And then when they say it's time
for you can take take everything over, I'll be there
taking it over.
Speaker 7 (29:05):
All right, Praise God? All right, So let's go ahead
and get right to it, these words of inspiration because
we want to inspire the people, because we know everybody
does not always make it into the church building, so
we want to make sure we get that word to Yeah,
so what fresh word did God put on your heart
for the folks?
Speaker 18 (29:24):
I would leave a word saying you shall recover all
I know. I lost a lot. I was in the
car and said you remember that, and I was, yes,
left in the coma when I was working with artists
as the Windings, you know, commission and that's the belt.
Back in my younger days and this season, I didn't
realn't know if I would ever really get to to
(29:46):
be able to even promote a little bit of what
I love to do. I don't do music for the money.
I don't do it for fame or fortune. But I
do it because I believe that God is annoying to
me to do it. Do it the way I do it.
I can't be anybody else. I can only be. But
when David had went through with the zig lag, they
stole all his stuff and they thought that they had him.
(30:09):
They had his wife, his cattle, all his goods. He
inquired to his e fight and he asked, gud, am
I going to recover myself? Should I go and pursue
after the enemy? And the response was, without fail, you
shall recover all. So I thank God because somebody needs
to know that you might have lost some things in
(30:31):
between time in the meantime, but it was not meant
for your bad. All things are working together for your good.
Don't stop running, don't stop fighting, don't stop going after
whatever you need from God, because he has not forgotten us.
I thank God that the song that we're presenting todays
even called made a decision, and I had to make
(30:53):
a conscientious decision that I won't give up, that I
shall pursue after the and take everything that he's taken
from me and do it to the tenth power. Because
a lot of times. All that is doing is increasingly annoyancing.
For you to present your presentation that God has put
in your hands to give to the nation, the friends
(31:16):
of the family members, it makes you that much more
annointed when you have experienced, you know, some go throughs,
but know that it is not over, it is not finished.
You shall recover all with our fail Let the enemy
know that eyes have not seen, years have not heard
the things that God has prepared for me. So I'm
(31:36):
taking it back, and if he's done it before, he
shall do it again. It's nothing new under the sun.
So if you got to go through, if you got
whatever you've got to go through, somebody has been through
the same thing you've been through. But you best believe
if you listen to the testimony, they'll express at the
end that God is just an awesome God and I
recover it all. So that would be my word. You
(31:58):
shall recover all. To give up, don't give in. Make
a decision to make it. But God needs it to
be in your life. You take the rest from you
and make sure that you get what these already promised.
Speaker 7 (32:11):
Amen. Yes, yes, you know you are going to go
through some things in this life. At some point, you know,
you either getting ready to go through it, just came
from going through it, you know what I'm saying. So yes,
you you shall recover all. That's a word. That's a
good word. That's something we can chew on for the
(32:33):
rest of this week. Recover all. That's some hope and
encouragement for the people.
Speaker 18 (32:38):
Yes, yes, I love that.
Speaker 7 (32:40):
Thank you so much for sharing that good word today.
I love it all right, So I do want you
to pray. You know, so much has been going on.
You know, they had a big storm in New Jersey, Plainfield,
New Jersey a few days ago, and several people lost
their lives, So of course I want you to pray
for that. I want you to pray also because because
(33:01):
Jimmy Swaggered. You know, my grandmother and then used to
watch him when I was growing up. He'd be on
the TV on TV and and everything preaching. So he
passed away. So I want you to pray, of course,
you know, for that. He passed away, Jimmy Swaggered. Now
are you familiar with him? He passed away a few
(33:23):
days ago. And then Young Noble, which was a member
of the rap group the Outlaws, which was down with Tupac.
He committed suicide the other day. He was only forty
seven years old. So of course we hated when young
people passed away, but we really you know, it's really
terrible when they commit suicide. So I don't know what
he was going through, but we want to pray, you know,
(33:46):
for that, And of course I want you to pray
for the show, the Me and Miss Jones show and
the listeners. All right, I'm going in the chat. I
don't see anything in the chat, so anything else that
God has put on your heart to pray about for today?
Speaker 18 (34:00):
Okay, Father God, we thank you for this day. We
bless you for life, health and strength. We thank you,
Father God for your awesome works, your power that's always
displayed through life. Father God, we see and we know
that you are here. So we come to you humble
as we know how, praying for the prayers that was
(34:20):
put on the air lines by doctor miss Jones. Yes, God,
we asked you God to cover the Schwager's family and
the one that committed suicide. We actually covers doctor Jones
her program here, her show that it only receives God
the benefits that you give God. So we go past.
We supersede what we see and know that greater God
(34:44):
is coming. When it's coming through you, we ask you
God to bless us and keep us. Father God, even
with the word, knowing that the enemy came to kill,
still and destroy. But God, you came to give us
life and life more abundantly, so we shall recover all.
We thank you for just making guys understand that nothing
(35:04):
just happens, nothing new under the son, but it all
comes for purpose God, and God for that your will,
for your glory that will be revealed. So we love you.
We magnify the name of Jesus because you're so awesome,
You're so worthy. Goal you are the God that keeps us,
Father God, even when we don't want to be kept. Yes,
so we thank you, We love you. We magnify the
(35:25):
name of Jesus and your blessed name. We pray.
Speaker 7 (35:27):
Amen, Amen, Amen, and amen. Thank you so much for
that anointed prayer. We can always prayer if nothing else
we need to be praying. Amen. All right, so let's
just change directions. I'm gonna just change direction. Matter of fact,
let me go on to change some music as well,
(35:49):
because now we want to get into your music.
Speaker 18 (35:52):
So listen.
Speaker 7 (35:52):
Yes, gone, and just there we go get some easy
listening music because we want to start talking about your
new album. I know you are excited about it. We
did your album release party a couple of weeks ago
and we just had them all. We went live on
(36:13):
Facebook and we stayed on a good hour and we
just talked about all this good new music. So I'm excited.
So you already talked about the title of it. Made
a decision because you said you made a decision? Aymn.
So how many tracks are on your new album?
Speaker 18 (36:37):
It's twelve tracks on the CD, twelve sex chat tracks.
Speaker 7 (36:42):
Yes, I noticed you said CD. So are you going
to be pressing them up? Because you know, some people
they don't even press up CDs anymore because everything in
the digital Are you pressing up some CDs?
Speaker 18 (36:53):
I was thinking about cussing some up because I believe
that sometimes people need to have access to however they
listen to it. Everybody duck on stream right after after
fifty five, streaming becomes almost uh encrypted. We don't know
much about that. Well, I don't do a lot of
(37:13):
stuff that I find myself.
Speaker 7 (37:16):
People talk about facts, facts people. You know, people still
got their boom boxes. They still sell them at wally World,
you know, Walmart, you know, so they still open it up.
Put that CD right up in it. Don't play with it,
you know what I mean? Everybody, ain't you know all
tech savvy? You know, Okay, they got the apps and
the streaming. Now it's gone, and just pop that bad
(37:37):
Boy right in. Ain't nothing wrong with that? Yes, put
that put that CD up in this boom box.
Speaker 18 (37:44):
Yes for sure.
Speaker 24 (37:45):
Yes.
Speaker 7 (37:46):
You have worked with so many great people in the past.
Let me just put that out there. Like you said,
Joe and Rossara is your girl. You you know, you
opened up and performed with a lot of people like
Fred Hammond, Tied TRIBBT, Marvin sab you know, Mary Jay,
so many people. But on this album you use a
lot of your family.
Speaker 14 (38:07):
I love that.
Speaker 7 (38:08):
I love that you are so family oriented. So what
made you put so much of your family? They on
like almost all the tracks between family and friends. What
made you decide to put them on your music this time?
Speaker 18 (38:22):
My family reminds me if you that the ones that
I pulled we do. We're not the ones that were
at at the forefront of the vocalist in my family.
I'm recording artists that that work some people might know of,
but uh, I wanted to put the ones on my brother,
my sister and my cousins because we're the ones that
(38:45):
normally didn't do a lot. We didn't understand a lot
about the music business. So we end up always singing
in church, you know, singing singing the church down, but
didn't know, didn't understand in the business. So that was
one of the reason why I grew up to my family.
They remind me of the winings. If you ever give
one of my my clips and uh and Christmas, it's
(39:08):
about seventy five eighty of us in one house and
oh my god, you know we're just having I mean
having a singing holy ghost time.
Speaker 13 (39:19):
Come on.
Speaker 18 (39:19):
But even the ones that got on the on the
side of the house that because it's about close one hundred.
But even the ones that don't really do God like that,
they put the bottles down and they come over to
the church side because it's two separate sides. Out of
the house. You got drinkers, so they separate them from
the church people because we don't want to offend nobody.
But everybody come in the same place, you know, in
(39:41):
the same area. Of the house in Jersey and man,
we sing that thing down.
Speaker 7 (39:48):
Yeah, the family run, y'all having a good time. I
love that. I love that, I love family, and I
love singing a place down. So y'all gonna have to
invite us fout to come help, saying, oh.
Speaker 18 (40:01):
Man, it's only in sick Leville. We got you.
Speaker 7 (40:04):
Okay, I've been there before. I got a friend that
live out there. Yes, well, let's go ahead and get
to some of this new music. So this is my
favorite cut. Okay, I told you that, not tired yet,
and te why so tell us about that track? My favorite.
Speaker 5 (40:25):
Just man.
Speaker 18 (40:26):
The song came about was derived through me going through
and and and Actually when I wrote the Tired the song,
I was a little bit tired. The Bible says that
you speak those things that are not as if they
were to existence. So when I begin to think about
the song, I said, you know, you don't lie to yourself,
(40:46):
because the Bible says no, the truth, and the truth
is what's going to set you free. Now, now you
are tired, man, you a little bit tired. You a
little bit tired, But you know, you know, if you
begin to just focus on the things of the Bible says,
I think one of the things that are true, to
things that are holy, things that are just things that
are good, report, you know, and then then you'll you'll
(41:07):
be able to have virtue, virtuous annoying, virtuous praise. Virtues
give gives you the ability. So that was just basically
the way I came up with the song I'm not tired.
And by the time I got finished singing that song,
you gotta know, I felt some strength.
Speaker 7 (41:22):
Okay, you gotta speak that strength and to existence. Yes,
you gotta speak because yeah, we do all get a
little tired. Like Jesus, I've been in this thing. Who
have been in it a long time? Now, I'm tired, Jesus,
you gotta be You can't speak that. You gotta speak
that the word what the words say. Okay, yes, I
(41:42):
love that.
Speaker 18 (41:44):
If I have a couple more seconds. I come from
the place of you know, I was a substance of music,
you know, so from so so when you standing standing standing,
ain't dipping in nothing, sometimes the body begins to you know,
speak to you. The mind begins to speak.
Speaker 25 (42:00):
You know.
Speaker 18 (42:00):
I believe that's when how the enemy tried to play
Jesus in the Garden of the seventy you know, try
to get to the mind, but you just begin time yet, Hey,
I tell you the songs that that that are written
or written from experience, from things I've been through.
Speaker 7 (42:15):

called not Tired Yet by step is it's Stephan or

so she's telephone.
Speaker 7 (42:34):

Speaker 18 (42:37):

Speaker 7 (42:40):

Speaker 18 (42:42):

Speaker 7 (42:45):

you after all that I had, I will.
Speaker 11 (43:32):

Speaker 26 (43:35):

You get eleven thousand dollars ring you don't want much
much arroganting in between? That ain't that much time to
be putting too much in between that? You know, you
might have a lot done the right way, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 7 (49:36):
But no, oh, that is hilarious because y'all just got
engaged like a month ago, y'all. So tell us about
this wedding that's gonna be coming up. You have a
big one.
Speaker 18 (49:49):
Yeah, my brother from Carolina, Bishop Marshall Apostle, Doctor Marshall

Speaker 7 (50:33):
That's the day. It's my birthday.
Speaker 18 (50:34):
It's a small, enclosed one, you know what I mean.
We're doing a big reception, uh in August. We just
wanted to get it done, you know what I mean.
Throwing the water look rather no nothing going under my feet,
you know, you know, working hard to be abstinate, trying
to do things the right way.
Speaker 7 (50:50):
That's right.
Speaker 18 (50:51):
I mean, that's why brother if started.
Speaker 7 (50:55):
You know, look, that's why my brother a certain way.
Praise God, hallelujah. Pamit, pam Now did you know she
was the one.
Speaker 14 (51:07):
Man?
Speaker 18 (51:08):
You know, after all that I've been through.
Speaker 5 (51:14):
Tired of looking. But after all that, I see, Jesus.
Speaker 18 (51:18):
Jesus, anybody can be a girlfriend. Anybody can be a
woman with woman parts, but everybody can't be a wife.
Oh my God, to come on, somebody, And she taught me,
you know, what it is to, you know, walk somebody
through the fire and hold your hands and understand. Listen, baby,
I'm not letting this hand go. You need to come on. Now.
(51:42):
You did together about over close to three and a
half four years.
Speaker 7 (51:45):
That's beautiful, that is me. Yeah, because when you first
came on the first time, he was like, I got
a new friend. Pamit pan, pammit pay. So that was
a few years ago now, so okay.
Speaker 18 (51:59):
Yes, yes, right amen, ain't got good.
Speaker 7 (52:02):
Yes, well, you know, I would say, invite a sister
to the wedding, but I'm booked up on the twenty
six two kids.
Speaker 18 (52:11):
They we'll get you. In fact, I probably will definitely
try to get you to do uh so open a
convenient thing for me for comedy.
Speaker 7 (52:18):
Yes, for the reception, Yes, yes, you got a date
already for the reception or know.
Speaker 18 (52:24):
Yeah, I can't remember, but August August, the twenty second August,
I can't.
Speaker 7 (52:31):
I'll okay, all right, yeah, we get down. Yes, yes, yes,
all right. Well it was truly a pleasure to have
you come on again today.
Speaker 18 (52:43):
Yes, I enjoyed myself.
Speaker 7 (52:45):
Yes, thank you so much for doing the words of inspiration,
and I appreciate you always being ready and always having
a word in your heart, and you know, definitely sharing
your music. Your music is dope. It's here is now
as to day is current. You know what I mean.
You bring that word so much. Yes, you bring all
(53:05):
your experiences with it. So keep doing what you're doing.
I definitely wish you much success, especially with this album.
It sounds amazing.
Speaker 18 (53:17):
Amen.
Speaker 7 (53:18):
Yes, all right, So made a decision, gonna line it
up for us one more time. Made a decision.
Speaker 18 (53:25):
So made a decision simply came at a time when
I had to make a decision whether it's going to
be got.
Speaker 7 (53:34):
Or man, which one?
Speaker 18 (53:35):
You know what I mean? And sometimes you have to
literally because because right or wrong comes with you know,
just making that decision. You make it all deepore. You know,
I had to he was looking good, he was she
was looking good, or I needed that money. So you
start lying on your tactics, having pre martal sex, all
that stuff that we do as humans. And I don't
(53:56):
get it, but you know it's not as hard as
we make it. You know. The Bible says that after
the Holy Gos has come, we shall received power. Power
didn't stop after the day Penny, cause power still here. Well,
you know you got to lock into your power and
make a decision and just live come out all right.
Speaker 7 (54:14):
Well you have a blessed and wonderful dad, tell paying
me paying what up? All right? Have a blessed day, yes, ma'am.
All right. So this has made a decision by Stephan Wildy.
Don't go anywhere, y'all. We got more Gray Show coming
up right here on to me and miss yon Show.
Speaker 29 (54:32):
This is what I told him that when I was
going through a time in my life, I had to
make my mind up right then and there, and I
decided this, listen, decided that decision.
Speaker 11 (54:44):
Your home long time. I'm going to keep on run,
whether it be fast. Oh, I know somebody can relate
to what I'm talking about. Body and win and John
to the racing, give it to the swings. Matter how
fashion think you're running, you better be going all.
Speaker 18 (55:08):
To the swoll that you are.
Speaker 11 (55:12):
I'm gonna keep run there and then to see you
what he ends all one be here, spider Wood. It
looks like it. Oh God, think too, I'm gonna be
you gon keep running.
Speaker 30 (55:29):
And cried out to God, I won't stop rents while
I'm the No matter what I gotta do. God gone,
keep running with Jesus for you Lord know that just
see me through.
Speaker 11 (55:41):
Ja do I walked through the battle, Keep running.
Speaker 28 (55:46):
Jesus's well, I'm going even Lord, can we go on?
Speaker 11 (55:54):
Know that you see me through you Ah yez say
that a long long time over. I'm going to keep
on running the whether it be fast or so.
Speaker 18 (56:13):
And somebody wait that told me the re.
Speaker 11 (56:17):
Said you lastly.
Speaker 5 (56:21):
But it's given to the world, the one that just walk.
Speaker 28 (56:29):
Somebody will it told me or su fighting to the strong,
But it's given to the.
Speaker 11 (56:38):
World, the one that's all.
Speaker 5 (56:44):
Gone.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
Keep running.
Speaker 11 (56:48):
That's why I'm going to gone, keep running.
Speaker 5 (56:55):
I know U cv through.
Speaker 11 (56:59):
Going runs, That's why I want to.
Speaker 18 (57:07):
Go.
Speaker 11 (57:07):
Gee run, nob you see me through You never let
it down, never let me go, never let it down,
never let me go.
Speaker 5 (57:22):
Never let it down, never let me go.
Speaker 11 (57:26):
You never let it down, never let me go.
Speaker 5 (57:30):
Will you to walk? Si? I saw so?
Speaker 11 (57:41):
Shall be all in all till the walking.
Speaker 5 (57:55):
Shall shell call.
Speaker 11 (58:03):
Me down?
Speaker 5 (58:10):
No, no, save me on your him.
Speaker 1 (58:14):
Don't lie, you don't want to take that trip, don't
ride he just keep it.
Speaker 19 (58:20):
Real with me cause my art dumb man talk that
five tell no lie, don't lie. You don't want that stoke,
don't want that fire. Don't lie, you just chasing eye
satisfied they try, still can't for that, but they finished side,
don't lie, don't lie. I do think I do this
for the pay sauce, just pay sauce. I just preached
(58:42):
the message. I can't say.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
So she's say you might put fifty rappers on the
pay bro, just so we don't have to hit them.
Speaker 13 (58:49):
Same song, it's Sam.
Speaker 19 (58:51):
You got barns, you got toys, you got charms, you
got diamonds. That's in on your neck and torque and
know your arms. They got a lot of me. I
know you Hollywood, I know you at and then.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
You got a part of me.
Speaker 19 (59:01):
Because I don't think it's for the grand I've been
by that action.
Speaker 1 (59:03):
I guess it's a bottle surface because you're popping and.
Speaker 5 (59:05):
Rent up the checking. You ain't got no doctorate, you.
Speaker 19 (59:06):
Ain't got opposition, you got opposite saying you know one
ain't no baby no. Probably I think the policy yet
it expired. They say they killers, they're wearing a pie.

Speaker 35 (01:02:58):
My Come man, take your medicine to day. Come and
(01:03:29):
left your cancelweight. Come then, take your medicine to day.
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
Come and left your canceled Eighth.
Speaker 7 (01:03:53):
It's time to bring the funny. That's right, it is
time for my comedian for the week. He has been
seen performing at clubs, colleges, and churches all around the world,
and he's been so patient in the club house today.
I want you to show a lot of love to
Calvin Rosco.
Speaker 5 (01:04:15):
Hey, Hi, how are you?
Speaker 13 (01:04:19):
I'm well? How are you?
Speaker 7 (01:04:21):
I am doing wonderful? Thank you so much for coming
on today.
Speaker 13 (01:04:25):
Thank you for having me, and congratulations on your doctorate.
Speaker 7 (01:04:29):
Thank you so much. I appreciate that. So your actual
name is not Calvin, that's your stage name, that's your
middle name. So that's like, you know, everybody calls you that,
that's your nickname, So why do they call you that
you don't like your first name.
Speaker 33 (01:04:49):
Well, my first name's Pedro and I don't speak Spanish.
Oh so people think, so it gets me out of
that situation automatically.
Speaker 7 (01:04:58):
Oh because even like, well, your last name is still
a Rosco. Like I was like, okay, he gonna come on.
Speaker 33 (01:05:04):
He went like, hey, Momia, no, I still get emails,
text messages and all kinds of mail in Spanish.
Speaker 7 (01:05:15):
That is so funny. So you say, you know what,
forget that. I'm just gonna be Calvin. I didn't even
know your last name at first. I just had in
my phone Calvin the comedian and then I was like, oh,
it's a Roscoe.
Speaker 18 (01:05:25):
Okay, yes it is.
Speaker 7 (01:05:29):
So why did you never learn any Spanish?
Speaker 13 (01:05:34):
I just wasn't brought up with it. My father's from Trinidad.
Speaker 33 (01:05:37):
My grandfather was from Venezuela, so my grandmother decided to
give us all Spanish names.
Speaker 18 (01:05:45):
Oh, okay, got it with the exception.
Speaker 13 (01:05:48):
Of my oldest brother, who was born in Trinidad and
his name was Steve.
Speaker 7 (01:05:52):
Okay, so he's got an American name as well.
Speaker 18 (01:05:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:05:58):
So I always like to tell everybody where I meet
my guests. So I met you at the American Legion
Hall in New Jersey. I was headlining a comedy club
you performed. It was hosted by Nairobi Nelson and Natasha Face.
Shout out to them. So we kept in touch and
here you are. So speaking of your brothers, you have
(01:06:23):
a twin brother. Yes, So what was that like growing up?
Speaker 13 (01:06:29):
What was fraternal?
Speaker 7 (01:06:31):
Okay?
Speaker 13 (01:06:32):
So we weren't mixed up or anything like that.
Speaker 33 (01:06:35):
Although my parents decided to dress us alike, we completely
looked different.
Speaker 7 (01:06:41):
Okay. So his name is Perfecto.
Speaker 13 (01:06:46):
His name is Perfecto, named after my grandfather.
Speaker 7 (01:06:49):
That is such a different name. I have never heard
of this perfected Perfecto perfect though. So how long have
you been doing comedy.
Speaker 13 (01:07:01):
I've been doing comedy on and off for about twenty years.
Speaker 5 (01:07:05):
Okay.
Speaker 13 (01:07:07):
So I only started in Rhode Island, which is where
I'm from.
Speaker 7 (01:07:11):
Okay, how did you get started?
Speaker 33 (01:07:15):
There was an open mic night at a comedy club
in Providence, and I started filming myself and writing material
and I went to perform and I ended up winning
the whole competition.
Speaker 7 (01:07:28):
All right, congratulations, thank you. That's dope. I've only been
to Rhode Island once I went there. I actually not
too long ago. I DJed a kid's birthday party. It
was a lot of woods.
Speaker 13 (01:07:42):
I remember, a lot are areas that are heavily wooded.
Speaker 7 (01:07:48):
Yes, it was heavily wooded. I was like, okay, where's
any skyscrapers riding? I don't know. Maybe I was in
a country part of it. I don't know. Yeah, all right,
so we're gonna go ahead and spill some tea. What
kind of tea do you drink?
Speaker 18 (01:08:10):
Long?
Speaker 7 (01:08:12):
Okay, I'm just gonna go straight to the heart stuff
in here today.
Speaker 5 (01:08:16):
All right.
Speaker 7 (01:08:17):
Well, I like just regular tea, tea with water. So
I like a little lipt and tea. I like some
fruity tea too, Like I like to put a little
you know, peach tea with some raspberry. I like all
that good stuff. But here we spill holy tea. So
that's what we we spill around here. So with yeah,
(01:08:42):
we look at the trending topics from a biblical, you know,
godle perspective. So we're gonna go ahead and go to
a quick commercial break and we will be right back
with some holy tea. So don't go anywhere, y'all. Keep
it like right to the Me and Miss Jones show
(01:09:02):
with Me, doctor Miss Jones and Calvin or the Roastkull.
Speaker 31 (01:09:08):
I'm gonna need to get them on your feet and
make some noise for Grandma's cookie.
Speaker 5 (01:09:12):
Grandma pulling up.
Speaker 7 (01:09:13):
She like baking cookies, hend giving her she got the recipe,
it's going up. Put some respect on her now, I'll
give it up.
Speaker 9 (01:09:20):
Now, Who with the cookies and the cookie jaws got
the best reci pea?
Speaker 29 (01:09:25):
By far?
Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
She got balls, and she living at large? Can't nobody
baked cookies like grandma's.
Speaker 14 (01:09:30):
Grandma in the kitchen having a ball cookie.
Speaker 1 (01:09:33):
So good, y'all, we're eating the mall.
Speaker 7 (01:09:35):
Seeing the normal business fits.
Speaker 1 (01:09:36):
So flying cook you real good with an apron tie.
Speaker 7 (01:09:39):
Who put the cookies and the cookie jaws got the
best rec of pea?
Speaker 5 (01:09:43):
By far?
Speaker 19 (01:09:44):
She got balls, and she living at last, can't nobody
baked cookies like Grandma's wisdom to the maximum.
Speaker 5 (01:09:50):
Grandma here, ain't Gray.
Speaker 7 (01:09:52):
She about that like keeping the real note, faking cookies,
sold fire, you got the whole world bacon Grandma's cookies.
Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
Yeah, we got again.
Speaker 7 (01:10:21):
All right, it is time to spill some of this
holy tea. You ready, Calvin, I am all right. So
our first story is about Tyler Perry. He has a
new film that's coming out on Friday, so it's coming
out on Netflix. It's called Medea's Destination Wedding. So it's
about Tiffany. She has rushed a wedding and she's having
(01:10:46):
a destination wedding in the Bahamas. So let's go ahead
and play the clip and we'll talk about it once
we finished the clip. So this is the official trailer
for Medea's Destination Wedding.
Speaker 4 (01:11:00):
We wanted to take this time to suddenly invite you
to the wedding. It's going to be a designation wedding.
Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
We gotta get a passports.
Speaker 36 (01:11:09):
Further, I am illegal nine in two countries. I cannot
be going all the way to the Bahamas.
Speaker 7 (01:11:16):
Honey, yell ahalla of open bar.
Speaker 13 (01:11:18):
Yes we will be there.
Speaker 5 (01:11:19):
Yeah, it damn so hot.
Speaker 36 (01:11:23):
What are we doing back here? We spoke to sitting
up in the big first plassy. Not sitting back here
like we did on Rose the park at the back
of the buck these see so tight girl, y'all give
me a mammogram.
Speaker 5 (01:11:33):
Walk up to the Bahamas. I can feel rich night room.
Speaker 13 (01:11:37):
I feel like a row.
Speaker 1 (01:11:40):
This bachelor party is gonna be lit.
Speaker 5 (01:11:41):
Is it gonna be church music being paid? We can pray?
Speaker 1 (01:11:44):
Oh yeah, we're gonna be praying.
Speaker 13 (01:11:50):
How much you know about this though? Why she Russian?
Speaker 5 (01:11:52):
Damn it is what it is?
Speaker 1 (01:11:55):
She is up to something.
Speaker 36 (01:11:56):
Well, you just enjoy yourself. You're about to get punched yourself.
You know something right about this, something right about it
at all. If you don't have trust in a marriage,
you don't have nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:12:09):
But then just relax.
Speaker 7 (01:12:10):
Y'all don't know how to add.
Speaker 36 (01:12:12):
Oh, ain't that cute? She got on them shims? You
know you shouldn't she shitn't from chem card apple?
Speaker 7 (01:12:16):
Okay, I guess I hear that.
Speaker 13 (01:12:18):
You gotta open your arms why and embrace whatever it is.
Speaker 36 (01:12:21):
That's coming at you, maybe maybe name I'm okay right now.
I ain't been through a tube that little since I
was born. I'm not gonna go through another, all right.
Speaker 7 (01:12:49):
So that was the official trailer to Tyler Perry's new
movie that's coming out on Netflix on Friday. It's called
Medea's Destination Wedding. So questions arise as to why the
wedding is being rushed. They are doubting her fiance. So, Calvin,
what are your thoughts about the trailer?
Speaker 13 (01:13:12):
I watched the trailer.
Speaker 33 (01:13:15):
Tyler Perry is a very intelligent person who's launched a
lot of very successful careers for people. However, I'm not
a fan of this movie. I just think it's kind
of similar to his past movies.
Speaker 7 (01:13:32):
Okay, so I guess that means you will not be
watching it on Friday.
Speaker 13 (01:13:39):
I will probably watch it. I do support black actors,
and I will support it and I will give it
a chance. I've just wasn't very excited about the trailer.
Speaker 33 (01:13:57):
You know, some things can change when you look at
the whole uh movie in its entirety.
Speaker 7 (01:14:03):
Okay, Well, you know he has been doing this thing lately.
He had the movie Straw that came out not too
long ago, and that was an amazing movie. Did you
see that?
Speaker 13 (01:14:14):
I did not.
Speaker 7 (01:14:15):
Oh, you gotta see that. That's with Taraji p Henson.
So definitely, if you get a chance to watch that
watch that, and then we just got be Et Plus.
So I've been watching Divorcests. That's a TV series, So
I've been enjoying that. I watched a couple of episodes.
But you know, I'm definitely gonna watch it. I do
support you know, his his films and his TV shows,
(01:14:38):
and he's got some of the you know, our favorite
characters on Bay Amazon and mister Brown, So I will
definitely watch it. Looks, you know, like it's got some
laughs and it So I'm definitely gonna support Tyler Perry absolutely.
All right, So let's go ahead and go to the
next story. So the next one is about Beyonce. I
(01:14:58):
don't know if you saw the new clippings, and it
was all over Instagram, but she thought, yes, she had
to pause her concert after her car prop left her
up in the air dangling over crowds. I was like,
who that is some kind of scary. So she was
singing her song sixteen Carriages as she sat in the
(01:15:19):
back of a red convertible prop flying high.
Speaker 21 (01:15:23):
In the air.
Speaker 7 (01:15:24):
So this happened in Houston, Texas during her concert.
Speaker 5 (01:15:26):
And this was in the.
Speaker 7 (01:15:27):
Opener, the beginning, not even at the end. It's like,
why that's how you start the concert off? My God today?
So this was at n FG Stadium. So the car
tilted in mid air due to some technical malfunctioning. I
think somebody might've lost a job on that one. So
she paused the show. She was saying stop stop several
(01:15:51):
times before they you know, landed her safely and it
was all, you know, all up in the audience, all
up in the crowd. But there was no injuries. And
since then she has not sang the song. She has
not done this car prop. I think that's gonna they
just gonna cut that out completely. I can't see her
getting back up there. I would be having some flashbacks.
(01:16:11):
M that's just change that or just doing some kind
of different dance, make up a new dance. So I
don't know, but she has not done it anymore in
her Cowboy Carter concerts. So this is a non city
tour that she's on. It has been in the America
as well as Europe, and it's going to be ending
soon on July twenty sixth in Las Vegas. So what's
(01:16:32):
your thoughts.
Speaker 33 (01:16:35):
Well, I think there was a very risky stunt, considering
you're also a mother.
Speaker 13 (01:16:43):
Facts you need to take into account your children.
Speaker 5 (01:16:50):
And what.
Speaker 33 (01:16:52):
You're leaving behind should something happen to you. You're already
a megastar. These props, you don't really have to do
that to gain a fan base. And being a country singer.
Every country singer has sung a song about a broken car.
So I think it was a I think maybe it
was staged.
Speaker 7 (01:17:13):
You think it was stay. I don't think so. She
was like stop stop.
Speaker 13 (01:17:17):
I don't think it was stage, but.
Speaker 33 (01:17:21):
I do think it was a risky stunt, and I'm
glad she's not hurt, and I'm glad that she's not
going to repeat that stunt.
Speaker 7 (01:17:30):
Yeah, yeah, definitely was risky. You know, it's almost like
they feel like they have to do these big sons.
Like you said, you know, you see him, they fly
and they twirl and we act like we, you know,
a trampoline artists or trapeze artist or whatever. Everybody's got
(01:17:50):
these things. I'll be worried sometimes. I remember fifty cent
he did something I feel like it was at the
one of the Beads Awards years ago, and he came
down from this guy and he almost fail and he
messed this whole rapp up. But you know, one thing
is she is a professional and the show will go on.
You know a lot of times people she has fallen
or tripped almost fail. God, you know what I mean,
(01:18:12):
Like you wouldn't even halfway know it. Like she's a
professional and these people, they are definitely professionals and they
keep going with it. But yeah, Nope, you could pop up. Yeah,
I'll come out through the floor or something like that.
I ain't flying off nothing I know now, And I'm
(01:18:35):
you know, I like, you know, their devil's type of stuff. I'll,
you know, do all that kind of stuff. But I
just can't see it. And performing like that's one thing.
If you parasling on vacation, that's one thing. But you're
doing that and you performing, that's too much to concentrate on.
I'm just saying, no, yeah, you ain't gotta do that.
You sing real good. We just are mesmerized by your
(01:18:57):
singing and dancing.
Speaker 13 (01:18:59):
We just want you to show up.
Speaker 7 (01:19:00):
Yeah, just show up singing, dance, look pretty, have a
cute outfit on. That's that's cool.
Speaker 13 (01:19:06):
Forget the car, forget it.
Speaker 7 (01:19:09):
Mm mmm, maybe she'll put blue Ivy up the next time.
Speaker 18 (01:19:13):
Noah, didn't, I don't think jay.
Speaker 7 (01:19:16):
Z ain't going for it. They be protecting Blue Ivy.
Speaker 5 (01:19:20):
You ain't.
Speaker 7 (01:19:21):
You ain't getting close to her. I saw the bodyguards
on her all right. So you know what we got
to talk about. We gotta talk about Diddy. We just
got to because you know, the verdict came out the
other day. Yes, they have reached a verdict in the
Diddy trial. So he was acquitted of racketeering and sex
(01:19:41):
trafficking charges, but he was found guilty on two lesser
charges that were related to prostitution. Yes, transporting his former
girlfriends for prostitutions. So the jury delivered the verdict after
nearly two months of being on trial. So he does
have to stay in jail and tell his sentencing this fall.
(01:20:03):
So the judge denied his bail once again. So Cassie's
lawyers did have something to do with it, you know,
they asked that he be denied bail as she's scared
that he's gonna come after her. So prosecutors are saying
that they are going to seek a four to five
year sentence. Did he is denying all of the allegations still,
(01:20:24):
So what's your thoughts?
Speaker 13 (01:20:27):
Well, let's look at the name Diddy, did he do it?
Speaker 18 (01:20:31):
Did he not?
Speaker 1 (01:20:31):
Did he?
Speaker 5 (01:20:32):
Well?
Speaker 33 (01:20:35):
No one questioned the palette of baby oil being delivered
to his house. Well, uh, there's a lot of people
breathing a sigh of relief. Now, well, and you look
at once again. You look at the names. You look
at Shug Knight, he has diabetes. You look at Bernie madeoff.
He made off with sixty five billion.
Speaker 13 (01:20:53):
Well, the name serves it all.
Speaker 7 (01:20:55):
Well, he was puff first, though he was. I feel like.
Speaker 33 (01:21:05):
He should have gotten more guilty chargers. Why there was
too much evidence?
Speaker 7 (01:21:10):
Wait a minute, you think he was, You think he
was more guilty. My thing is this, was he guilty
by himself? No, I'm just saying, how is it you
going down by yourself? Cassie was, But Cassie was paying folks.
You know what I'm saying. What about the people that's
their whole job? How about all y'all go down? How
(01:21:34):
he got to take the rap for absolutely that makes
no sense to me. And then you got thirty million.
Speaker 13 (01:21:43):
You're gonna take the one that has the most publicity.
Speaker 7 (01:21:47):
But my thing is the girl got thirty millions to
shut her face. You give me that money back? Where
that money going? You ain't shut your face.
Speaker 33 (01:21:56):
I'm sure there was a lot of payouts that weren't
uh exposed, And.
Speaker 7 (01:22:02):
Now you scared by Felicia. By Felicia, she.
Speaker 13 (01:22:06):
Got the money, she can go wherever she wants.
Speaker 7 (01:22:09):
Mm hmmmmmm hmmm. Well do you think Trump is gonna
pardon him because he pardoned up everybody?
Speaker 18 (01:22:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 13 (01:22:19):
We got to see who he voted for.
Speaker 7 (01:22:22):
He ain't get to vote for nobody. He was locked up,
wasn't He wasn't a.
Speaker 33 (01:22:28):
Convicted felon yet. Yeah, well maybe he just supported him.
We got I'd like to see who he was supporting.
Speaker 7 (01:22:36):
I guess he could have voted him because he hadn't
been convicted. I guess, yeah, h that that. Yeah, well
we'll see. We'll see because he sure did pardon a
whole lot of including rappers. So yeah, and they were friends.
I've seen pictures of him together, So we'll see. But
(01:22:57):
you know, we're gonna be watching out. He's gonna be
getting sitting soon and well like I think October, so
we definitely gonna be looking out for that and seeing
what's gonna be going on with that. But did you
see speaking up the baby all? Did you see people
springing baby all on each other outside the courtroom when
they thought he was gonna get some bail. It, oh
(01:23:22):
my god, it's it's some foolishness that went on outside
because you know, everybody thought he was gonna get to
go home on bail. So his family was like happy
and the people outside was happy. They were like, it's over.
He gonna go home on bell. And a judge was like, nope,
he ain't getting no bail.
Speaker 13 (01:23:39):
I think they'll do an a pill. I think he'll
get out.
Speaker 7 (01:23:43):
All right, we'll sing, we'll see what happened. We're gonna
be following it. We're gonna be watching out in the fall.
See what kind of sentenceen this judge give some We'll
see he definitely will follow the pill, I'm sure, or
you know, like be hollering at Trump. But we'll see.
But speaking of Trump speaking, do you want to say
(01:24:04):
something else? Okay, speaking of Trump? So Trump signed the
big beautiful bill on July fourth? How was your July fourth?
By the way, I didn't even ask you how was
your July fourth?
Speaker 13 (01:24:14):
It was very good? Thank you? What did you do?
I just kept low, kid, I just had a little cookout,
had some burgers, some steak.
Speaker 18 (01:24:23):
Oh okay, just appreciated.
Speaker 13 (01:24:26):
The day off of work.
Speaker 7 (01:24:27):
Hey, nothing wrong with that. Yeah. I took my nephews
out to Nickelodeon Amusement Park, so they had a good time.
But all right, So back to July fourth, Back to
Big Beautiful Bill. So he signed the Big Beautiful Bill
on July fourth. He had a big ceremony, and he
made it into a law. So this bill is going
to include significant cuts to health care, basically Medicaid. It's
(01:24:52):
projected to leave millions of people without health insurance. And
it's also gonna cut nutrition programs like SNAP, which is
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program, which is basically food stamps. So
it's going to use forty six point five billion dollars
for border wall construction and related expenses, forty five billion
(01:25:16):
dollars to expand detention capacity for immigrants in custody, and
thirty billion dollars for hiring and training US Immigration and
Customs enforcement. What's your thoughts?
Speaker 33 (01:25:30):
Well, first of all, everything's big in his little hands.
I was reading about that. Also, you know, he's doing
tax relief for farmers, but all the workers are taken
by ice, so you don't even have the workers.
Speaker 7 (01:25:50):
That's who's out there. Hello, you know we ain't out there.
Speaker 14 (01:25:53):
Hello.
Speaker 7 (01:25:53):
Somebody love that.
Speaker 33 (01:25:56):
He's given one hundred percent restoration of expensive out allowance
for businesses to write off investments, expansion, modernization.
Speaker 13 (01:26:06):
All this affects him. All this benefits him.
Speaker 33 (01:26:09):
Facts, temporary tax deductions for seniors over sixty five, he
qualifies for that. He doesn't care about the food benefits
because he only eats McDonald's.
Speaker 13 (01:26:21):
Well, well, it's anything that he can make money on.
Speaker 5 (01:26:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:26:30):
But the thing is, I just feel like he's so
focused on the wrong stuff. Why are you so focused
on this wall? Why you didn't finish the wall before,
so now you gotta go finish this wall. Come on,
people need health care. People need health care. Should be free.
First of all, it's free in other countries. I used
(01:26:53):
to live in London, it was free.
Speaker 13 (01:26:56):
It's not incredital Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:26:58):
It's like, come on, need health care. And the thing is,
you're gonna take people fool steps. Well, you taking their
health care, and the hood is always gonna eat. Okay,
you might not want to help the hood eat, but
the hook gonna eat. So you can either help them
or you're gonna it's about to be some more scamming,
some more robbing because the hook gonna eat So get
(01:27:21):
it together, Trump, because the hood gonna eat hellove somebody,
So yeah, get it together. Did you see that they're
making an alligator Alcatraz for these people, for the immigrants
in Florida. I don't know if they made it already.
I saw it like on Instagram. They were showing videos
of it. But it's like gonna be a deting center
and surrounded by alligators. I mean, are we Are they
(01:27:44):
in prison or something like? They don't even treat prisoners like.
Speaker 33 (01:27:48):
It's like ten that are set up. It's it's being
constructed way too quick. He wants to rebuild the original
alcaf trash.
Speaker 7 (01:27:58):
Yes, and San Francisco.
Speaker 33 (01:28:02):
And you know, I still don't understand how he was
reelected as a convicted felon of over thirty.
Speaker 7 (01:28:10):
Thirty four counts. Thirty four counts. I don't even think
Diddy got thirty four and you want to pull him away.
Make it make sense. I'm just saying, make it make sense.
Make it make sense. Oh my god, I can't.
Speaker 13 (01:28:26):
And now you got people that voted for him that
he deported. I can't true everythinking their move.
Speaker 7 (01:28:38):
My god today. Well that is it for the tea.
I have no more tea topics for I mean, we
could talk all day about everything, but that's pretty much
it for the tea. I mean, there was this other
thing I was thinking about talking about with the Disney cruise.
Did you see the little girl that fell in the
kid that fell out?
Speaker 18 (01:28:56):
And say, yes, wasn't that something?
Speaker 7 (01:29:00):
I said, Wow, horrible, that is crazy, I mean, And
they both made it, they both survived.
Speaker 33 (01:29:08):
I talked to a colleague of mine about that situation,
and he told me he was on a cruise with
his son, who was nine years old at the time,
and his son was dangling off the balcony trying to
get into his grandmother's room.
Speaker 7 (01:29:24):
What you better watch.
Speaker 13 (01:29:28):
Precautioned or you know, rails or anything.
Speaker 7 (01:29:32):
Well, it was a railing from what I read on this.
When there was a railing, and I think she fell
backwards into a porthole, and the they she was near
her parents, the moms told the dad quickly, you know whatever, whatever,
he jumped off, and like everybody acted quickly stopping the boat,
like turning around, getting the rescue boats or whatever, and
(01:29:52):
like within twenty minutes. They you know, they got them.
They was tread you know, tread and ward or whatever.
But it's just amazing that they survived. Like that's that's
definitely that was God. God had his hands on him,
I tell you.
Speaker 5 (01:30:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (01:30:09):
And how about this as a parent put your phone down?
Speaker 7 (01:30:12):
Well, well, how about hold your kid's hands on this boat? Yeah,
you on the rail and why they on the rail
and just feet two feet on the floor. How about
that two feet on the floor.
Speaker 18 (01:30:31):
That's it?
Speaker 7 (01:30:32):
Yes, all right? So what you got going on? What
what you got going on that the people can find
out more about you? What's your your social media all
that good stuff. So people can, you know, know what
you got going on? Follow you.
Speaker 13 (01:30:50):
I'm just a normal person.
Speaker 33 (01:30:54):
I'm trying to get back into the comedy scene, doing
some local events at the American Legion.
Speaker 13 (01:31:03):
Been going to a couple of auditions out in New York.
Speaker 5 (01:31:06):
Okay, you acting?
Speaker 13 (01:31:09):
I am acting.
Speaker 18 (01:31:11):
I did go on the.
Speaker 13 (01:31:14):
Imaging that at the Apollo a couple of years ago.
Speaker 7 (01:31:16):
Okay, do you make it through?
Speaker 18 (01:31:20):
You made it?
Speaker 7 (01:31:20):
You made it all the way through, because Apollo they
don't be playing over there.
Speaker 13 (01:31:24):
I made it out to the stage and I got booed.
Speaker 7 (01:31:27):
Well, yeah, but the.
Speaker 33 (01:31:28):
Experience of being on that stage with so many people,
it's not a deterrent.
Speaker 13 (01:31:34):
It's just another avenue I have to take to get
where I'm going.
Speaker 7 (01:31:38):
Now, would you do it again and be like Okay,
I'm gonna make it through this time like what you would.
Speaker 33 (01:31:45):
Okay, the last time I saw the audition it pinged
on my phone. It was the same day, so I
by the time I got to New York it was
going to be over.
Speaker 7 (01:31:57):
Okay, Well, you know they closed down for a whole year.
They're doing renovations now, Yes, Yeah, I'm like a whole year.
That's a long time they gonna they gonna knock it
down and build another one in a whole year. I'd
be seeing a bit. I ride by the same streets
all the time, and I'd be like, Oh, that's a
new building that came up, and how they're taking a
(01:32:21):
whole year to renovate the apollo. I'm what construction company
is that I've.
Speaker 13 (01:32:28):
Seen houses go up around my neighborhood that.
Speaker 33 (01:32:33):
It is still going up as opposed to other houses
going up after and that are completed.
Speaker 7 (01:32:39):
Yeah, I don't understand a whole year, Like, come on,
just come on this, that's money. You're missing all these
shows for a whole year. That makes no sense to me.
But anyhow, give everybody your social media information so that
people can keep in touch with you.

credit score. But even if you have a messed up
credit score, they're not even looking at that. So make
