Took a heart right see said he.

Speaker 4 (50:16):
Leading ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (50:16):
I prayed for a sign directly like how a ninety

Came about that title.

Speaker 4 (52:08):
God got it. Come then.

Speaker 23 (52:13):
Medicine too, Dane, A man left your chiseled aid, Come then,
medicine too, Dane.

Speaker 13 (52:23):
A man left your caisel aid. It's time for the
Holy tea. Gets your tea cups ready. We started it
all off with American Idol winner Jamal Roberts. Y'all know
he inked a deal with Netflix.

Speaker 4 (52:37):
That's right.

Speaker 13 (52:38):
He just signed a deal for thirteen point five million
dollars for a seven episode docu series to follow his
life after American Idol. The show is going to show
his first national tour. Y'all know he going on to
a where Brandy and Monica money long, helly Rowland. It's
gonna show his life on the road, his faith and

(53:00):
of course it's gonna be filled with music.

Speaker 12 (53:03):
You know.

Speaker 13 (53:03):
His debut single, Heel, hit number one on the Billboard
Gospel Charts. He says that he is so excited to
show the world the power of God's healing through music.
The docu series will debut globally this year. I'm excited
to see it. But Letta Wallace says a state is
suing Faith Evans over Biggie's catalog. That's right. So you

(53:26):
know Valletta is Biggie's mama. So she passed away in February,
so her estate has filed a lawsuit against Faith Evans,
which is his widow. They won control of his music legacy.
So the lawsuit was filed by Wayne Burrow. He is
a record executive and he's the trustee of the estate.

(53:47):
So Faith and Valletta co own Notorious Big LLC. They
are accusing Faith of unilaterally managing okay. They claim that
she has ignored the LLC structure and that she has
taken proceeds from his catalog and has given it to
herself and his children. When I first saw this, I
was like, is she taking money from the kids, Because

(54:09):
I know she loves kids.

Speaker 4 (54:10):
She love his mama you.

Speaker 32 (54:11):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 13 (54:11):
But that is not the case. So the lawsuit is
coming after a one hundred million dollar deal in which
Primary where Music acquired a fifty percent stake in his
catalog and likeness rights, which was negotiated by his mama.
So what y'all think about that? Is she wrong? I mean,
she is the widow, you know what I'm saying, and

(54:32):
she's given money to his kids. I'm just like, well,
who's supposed to get the money? How long as you
break off that company, she should be able to get
some of that money. That's my faults, all right, y'all.
You know Ice has been rating farms, that's right. They
have been raiding farms. They have conducted a large scale
raid at two central California cannabis farms, that's right. So

(54:55):
clashes occurred between mass federal agents and protesters. So the
agents threw smoke canisters towards the crowd. The crowd threw
rocks at them. I know when I watched the news,
I saw this was about to bust the windows out
of the car that the federal agents were in. So
one worker died. Three people were taken to the hospital,

(55:17):
and seventy percent of workers stopped coming to work. They like,
we ain't coming. Y'all ain't about to take us. So
when the federal agents came in, they also saw underage
undocumented children working, so you know they took them. A
lot of them were unaccompanied where their parents said, I
don't know, but Ice took them. So there have been
significant crowd losses financial strength for farms. The FBI is

(55:40):
offering fifty thousand dollars for information on somebody that pointed
a gun at the ICE agents. My thing is, who
y'all think about to work in these farms. Black people
ain't doing what the white people ain't gonna do it. Hello,
crops are rotten at major agricultural states California, Texas, Pennsylvania
because seventy percent of workers was like, we ain't coming
to work.

Speaker 4 (56:00):
All right.

Speaker 13 (56:00):
So Bronx rapper French Montana is dating a princess, that's right,
not a Kardashian, but a princess, y'all. He is dating
Sheika Morow. She's the princess of Dubai, daughter of a
prime minister. Okay, all I'm saying is you better be
careful because I saw the news. One of them young
boys went over there was having sex and they put
him in jail. They don't be playing about their women

(56:22):
over there, so be careful. French Montana real housewife of
Atlanta star Eva Marceilla. Y'all know her as American Idol
winner Miss Eva da Deva and she's on all the
Queen's Men. So she is spending the block, y'all. That's right.
She reunited with her ex husband Michael Sterling, two years
after their divorce. That's right. She wrote on Instagram that

(56:43):
she is floating. Okay, the girl's so happy. She're floating
on cloud nine. She started dating him in twenty sixteen
and got engaged a year later. They got married the
next year, had two kids. She loved the brother so
much and her daughter love him so much that she
actually had her daughter or who was not from him,
take his last name.

Speaker 4 (57:02):
That's right.

Speaker 13 (57:03):
So they got divorced in twenty twenty three. They said
it was irreconcilable differences. She lost a lot of weights.
She said that the breakup was really hard, So I'm
really happy for her. I'm happy for them. Would y'all
ever spin the block? Is there anybody that you think
you would spend the block with? Happiest, but the block
ha ha. I'm happy for them, all right. So TSA

(57:24):
has ended shoe removal, that's right. They ended that on Monday.
You no longer have to take off your shoes when
you go to the airport and you go through the
security checkpoint, regardless of if you have a TSA pre
check in status or not.

Speaker 4 (57:39):
You don't have to do it.

Speaker 13 (57:40):
You ain't got to bend down the mall. You ain't
got to take those shoes all fine of being none
of that. So y'all remember we started doing it in
two thousand and one after the shoe bomber. So they
said that the scanning technology has improved and it makes
it unnecessary for them to need to do it anymore.
It can detect anything now, so this is gonna reduce

(58:00):
wait time. We ain't gotta do all of that no more.
They're gonna be able to get through these lines quicker.
I'm very glad because a sister's a germophobe. But I
don't like taking my shoes off. I if I got
my sandals one, I don't want my feet on that floor.
I don't want my clean socks on the.

Speaker 9 (58:14):
Floor, none of that.

Speaker 13 (58:15):
So I am very thankful of that, and I'm sure
everybody else is thankful to and and't like doing it either.
One last thing is if you are a fan or
you follow Jimmy Swagger, you know he passed away recently.
His funeral is today. It is streaming live on SBN,
so if you get a chance to watch it SBN.

(58:36):
I've never seen SBN, but I guess it's like TBN,
So make sure that you get a chance to watch
that and honor him. I know my family used to
watching my grandmother watch it, so I kind of grew
up on him. All right, we are gonna go ahead
and get back into some more great music, so keep
it right here to the Me and Miss Jones show
with me, Doctor Miss Jones.

Speaker 4 (59:00):
Good Ooo.

Speaker 2 (59:09):

the week and keep it locked right here to the
me and Miss Jones show with me, Doctor, Miss Jones.

Speaker 9 (01:11:42):
Don't be surprised that you're going through stuff. God is
growing you up. You may not thank God for it now,
but someday you'll look back. I look back, and I
thank God now for some of the hardest experiences that
I had in my life and some of the places
where God put me that were just I mean like

(01:12:03):
Christians doing things and treating people in ways that just
were not right. And I didn't understand why I was there.
And you know what, I didn't learn what to do.
I learned what not to do. And sometimes the only
way you learn not to mistreat other people is to
be in a situation where you're being unfairly mistreated. Come on,

(01:12:28):
and then you you know you learned because you know
what it feels like. You just don't know what I've
had to go through to be able to help you today.
Job waited, Ruth and Estra waited. I've waited. I'm waiting

(01:12:48):
on some things.

Speaker 11 (01:12:49):
Now.

Speaker 9 (01:12:49):
How many of you are waiting on something? Okay, well,
I can't do anything about the weight. But if you're
really listening, I can help you enjoy life while you're waiting.

Speaker 31 (01:13:01):
That's the key.

Speaker 9 (01:13:02):
I can help you enjoy life while you're waiting. Now, boy,
does that make the devil bad? John ten ten? The
thief only comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus said,
I came. I love that. That just messes up the
devil's whole plan.

Speaker 38 (01:13:20):
I came.

Speaker 9 (01:13:23):
Now, we wouldn't even have to say anything else. I
came that you might have and enjoy your life and
have an in abundance to the full until it overflows.
Why don't you make the devil mad and start enjoying
your life, and I mean learning how to enjoy ordinary,

(01:13:48):
every day life, just life. If we can just slow
down enough to actually recognize the presence of God. And
maybe it's some of you don't even know what I'm
talking about. I don't know, but there is an actual
presence of God that you can I'm not going to

(01:14:10):
say feel, but you can discern it, you can sense it,
you know it in your heart. And God is with
us all the time. But it's only when we slow
down enough to recognize that that we enjoy it. And
when the Bible says have joy in the Lord, there's

(01:14:33):
a joy, a deep down spiritual something that comes to
you no matter how big your problems are. If you
can spend time in the presence of God and you
know that he's walking with you, it overrides everything else
that's going on in your life because you just know
that He's going to take care of it some way, somehow, someday,

(01:14:58):
when he's good and ready, he's going to take care
of it. Well, we're all waiting on something, but we
just can't get God to tell us. When how much longer?

Speaker 15 (01:15:18):
God?

Speaker 9 (01:15:20):
Am I gonna have to put up with this? When
are you going to change my husband? I'm not talking
about my husband. He's perfect. David's a special guy. There's
going to be a section in heaven that only he
and God live in. I asked Dave, I just like

(01:15:47):
to talk to people about this kind of stuff. It's like,
I said, what is your greatest weakness? And he couldn't
think of anything. What's with that? And it's not that
he I mean, he knows he has weaknesses, But Dave's

(01:16:12):
just he's got it all working for him. Part of
it is his personality, but he just he's not the
least bit insecure. He could not care less what people
think of him. So when I say what's your greatest weakness?
The reason why he doesn't know is because he don't

(01:16:35):
focus on him. He doesn't focus on him because he
figures well, God knows me, and he knows what's right,
and he knows what's wrong, and I'm trusting him to
take care of things. Ooh, that's when life gets sweet. Now,
if you ask me, what are your weaknesses. I can

(01:16:57):
name them off because I've tried so hard to change.

Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
Come on, you get it.

Speaker 9 (01:17:08):
I've tried and tried. God, what do you want me
to do? As if we think us doing something is

(01:17:29):
going to change it all? And you know what the
answer is. He wants us to believe him, to trust him,
to wait on him with a good attitude. Now, but
what does he want me to do? We can't get
off of the doing. We're not human doings, we're human beings.

(01:17:54):
Oh my gosh, Acts sixteen, Acts one through seven. So
when they had come together, they asked him, Lord, will
you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? And
he said to them, it is not for you to know.
Times are seasons that the Father has fixed by his

(01:18:15):
own authority. Can you believe that there's some things that
you're just not supposed to know? You who, you don't
have to know everything? Come on, tell somebody next to
you you don't have to know everything? Well that don't

(01:18:43):
take that long to say that. See how you are.
I gave you just a little bit of liberty and
you all just got lost doing your own things. Now
I got to try to get you back, all right, Luke,

(01:19:05):
Chapter eighteen, verse one. And he told them a parable
to the effect that they ought always to pray and
not to lose heart. He said, in a certain city,
there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man.

(01:19:28):
And there was a widow in that city who kept
coming to him and saying, give me justice against my adversary.
And for a while he refused, But afterward he said
to himself, though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet,
because this widow keeps bothering me.

Speaker 4 (01:19:47):
Coming.

Speaker 9 (01:19:47):
I mean, I've told God, I am not going to
shut up, and I'm going to keep at this until
I see change. Let God know that you're not giving up.
That's not being rude. And she kept coming to him,

(01:20:08):
saying give me justice. And for a while he refused,
But afterward he said to himself, though I neither fear
God nor respect get man, because this widow keeps bothering me,
I will give her justice so that she will not
beat me down by her continual coming. And the Lord said,

(01:20:30):
hear what the unrighteous judge says, And will not God
give justice to his elect who cried to him day
and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell
you he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when
the son of Man comes, will he find faith on

(01:20:50):
the earth. Come on, that's better than that. I mean,
that's saying so much because you know what he's saying.
You just make sure that you stay in faith, that
you keep believing, and let me work. As long as

(01:21:11):
you're believing, God is working, and I'll tell you what
we need to be saying more of. And I've been
doing this for a good number of years and it's
really really helpful. When I'm waiting on something and then
I start to think about how long it's been, and
you know, my mind starts to go negative. I say
out loud, God is working. God is working, and it

(01:21:36):
helps me because he is. You know, when you get
a breakthrough, God didn't start just working on that a
second before you got it. God's working in your life
right now. He's heard your prayers. He's working in your situation.
But especially when you've prayed prayers for other people, you
have no control over how long it takes them to

(01:21:56):
listen to God. Hebrews eleven, verse one and verse six.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for. But
remember what is hope? It's a positive expectation that something
good is going to happen to me. So faith is
the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things

(01:22:21):
not seen. Faith is for when you don't see anything,
when it doesn't feel good, when you have questions that
you're not getting answers to. And faith is a matter
of the heart. Faith can believe that God is working

(01:22:41):
and that something good is going to happen when everything
around them looks the exact opposite. Maybe we need to
just cut loose and have some instruction for a few
weeks on just getting back to simple faith. I believe God.
I know it doesn't make any sense, but I believe God.

(01:23:04):
I believe God's working. Something good is going.

Speaker 4 (01:23:07):
To happen to me.

Speaker 9 (01:23:08):
This is going to change because I'm going to keep
bothering God until he does something. Come on, I mean that,
Luke eighteen. Just look at the way that it's written,
and the thing is about prayer, and it appears to
me that God is telling us to bother him. Go ahead,

(01:23:30):
just keep it up, he said, if an unjust judge
finally gave that woman what she wanted, he didn't fear God,
he didn't respect man, he was wicked and unjust, but
just because she refused to shut up? Come on, did

(01:23:51):
any of you women ever get your way with your
husband just because you refuse to shut up?

Speaker 4 (01:23:55):
Who I have? Come on?

Speaker 9 (01:23:58):
Now? Well if you get it? And he says, when
I come back, will I find faith? I don't know.

(01:24:22):
Maybe some of you just needed to come today just
to be reminded to stir your faith up again. Sure,
you're tired, you're wearied. You work hard, and you've believed God,
and you've been waiting what seems like forever for that
kid to change, or for your finances to change, or

(01:24:42):
for you to change or whatever. But I'm here to
tell you I've been there, done that, still go through
it in different seasons at different times. And I am
telling you, by the word of God and from my
experience and the experience of many others, that God is faithful.

(01:25:03):
And I don't know how long you will have to wait,
but I do know that God will come through. And
I do know that you can enjoy your weight if
you will just improve your attitude. You say, well, I

(01:25:28):
can't help how I feel. Maybe not, but you can
control your behavior.

Speaker 4 (01:25:36):
You know how.

Speaker 9 (01:25:36):
I know you can because the Bible says we have
self control. Self control means you can control yourself in
case you didn't get that. But without faith, it is
impossible to please God. For who ever would draw near

(01:26:01):
to God must believe two things. That God is and
that He is the rewarders. Come on, he is the

(01:26:21):
rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Come on, You've
got a blessing coming. God's working in your life, and.

Speaker 4 (01:26:38):
You know what.

Speaker 9 (01:26:40):
The devil may come against you, and he may just
have one fit after another, but he is not going
to beat you and God working together as a team,
it's just not going to happen. Come on, slow down
enough to start. You know what, when you soak up
enough of the presence of God, it makes you strong.

(01:27:05):
The anointing on your life increases you believe God. I
honestly think that just slowing down can make a huge
difference in all of our lives. Are you getting this?
I want to make sure you're getting it. I don't
know about you, but I'm tired of hurrying. Don't even

(01:27:29):
tell me hurry up, Joyce. Come on, I don't want
to hear that anymore. You know, when we're waiting, we
get tempted. We get a lot of temptation when we're
waiting and tempted to try to make something happen yourself.
And that's probably the number one thing, try to make

(01:27:50):
something happen ourselves. Like Abraham and Sarah, they waited and
they got tired of waiting, and so Sarah gets a
bright idea and Abraham goes along with it. She decides
that she's not getting pregnant, thinks she'll let Abraham have
a second wife. I mean, that's dumb from the get go. Now,

(01:28:21):
my man is mine, and don't you even look at
him too long? Who gives their husband a second wife? Well, anyway,

(01:28:47):
trying to make things happen yourself. Another thing is just
giving up. How many times have you told God in
your life, I'm giving up? Come on, oh God, I
just give up. That's not gonna make him feel sorry
for you.

Speaker 4 (01:29:11):
Why just give up?

Speaker 9 (01:29:13):
Well, you'll get over it and get started again. While
you're waiting, you're attempted to get angry at other people
who aren't going through what you're going through, jealous of
people who just never seem to have any problems in life,
and everything just always seems to you know, come up

(01:29:35):
nice for you. You're sick all the time, and your
friend never even has had a cold for seven years,
and you love her with the love of the Lord.
But she hadn't noise a living.

Speaker 4 (01:29:49):
Daylight s out of you.

Speaker 9 (01:29:58):
You're all getting that part, aren't you. Ecclesiastes seven eight says,
better is the end of a thing than its beginning,
unless you getting tickled over that. And the patient in
spirit is better than the proud. Now let's get that,

(01:30:21):
the patient in spirit is better than the proud. What
does the proud do? The proud try to take things
into their own hands and make something happen themselves. But
the patient wait on God James one four. But let
patients have her perfect work. That you may be perfect

(01:30:46):
and entire lacking absolutely nothing in life. There's always going
to be things that you don't know. And if you
want to have peace and enjoy your life, you have
to give up all this trying to figure everything out.

(01:31:08):
First of all, we are never going to figure God out,
because he does some stuff. I mean, I still don't
get this one, and I've been reading it for years.
When he spit on the ground and made little mudcakes

(01:31:31):
out of the ground in his spittle and rubbed it
on the blind man's eyes. Now, Jesus, that doesn't even
sound nice. He spit on the ground, and then he
told this blind man to go washing some pool of water,

(01:31:53):
and he came back seeing. You know, sometimes God just
does something very strange just to see if we'll trust
him and go along with it. And that I had
to be about nothing other than Jesus just wanted to
see if that man would trust him and go to

(01:32:13):
what he told him to do. Come on, you, you
might have missed your miracle, or I might have missed
my miracle because I wouldn't humble myself to do something
that seemed foolish that I didn't understand. So let me
just remind you that God is working in your life.

(01:32:36):
I'm telling you, if you have prayed a prayer in
faith that is according to the will of God, God
is working. Come on, I don't care how long you've
been waiting. God is working. Test your good because they

(01:33:00):
prove us. They show us what's needed in our life.
Tests bring out the weak areas in our life. James
one two through four, count it all joy in my brethren.
I don't know, do you like that scripture. That is
one annoying scripture. Count it all joy, my brothers, when

(01:33:22):
you meet various trials, Well, it doesn't self feel joyful,
it says, count it joy. So and I say this
sometimes this is so good for me. Oh God, I
hate this, but it is so good for me. It

(01:33:44):
is so good for me to deal with this obnoxious
clerk and stay nice. You think I'm kidding. I'm not kidding.
This the way I live. Oh God, it's good for
me to wait in this line. It's good. It's good
for me God, when I don't get my way.

Speaker 1 (01:34:05):
Thank you.

Speaker 9 (01:34:09):
For you know that the testing of your faith produces
steadfastness our patience. So let steadfastness our patients have its
full effect. That you may be perfect and entire, lacking
in nothing. Lord help us. David prayed for tests. I'm

(01:34:36):
not on that level yet, So I'm twenty six to two.
Prove me, o, Lord, and try me. Test my heart
and my mind and see if there is any wicked
way in me. I've not done that. Maybe next year.

Speaker 48 (01:34:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (01:34:57):
I have asked God to show me stuff that I'm
not seeing. But you know what, how many of you love?
How many of you have got a good testimony in
your life.

Speaker 11 (01:35:11):
Well, I did.

Speaker 9 (01:35:12):
To this day, I think I've got a great testimony.
But you know, you don't have a testimony without a
test And you've probably heard me say this before, but
it's funny anyway. Most people after the test all they
have is the monies. They never get around to the testimony.
It's kind of like God's pattern of how he deals

(01:35:33):
with people. In Deuteronomy eight two through four, he said
this to the Israelites when he brought them out of Egypt.
And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord
your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness,
that he might humble you, testing you to know what

(01:35:55):
was in your heart, rather you would keep his commandments
are not How good is that? It's not hard to
do what you're supposed to do when everything feels good
and it's going just right and everything is coming up rosy.

Speaker 4 (01:36:10):
But how about.

Speaker 9 (01:36:11):
Continuing to do what's right when nothing right seems to
be happening to you? How about treating somebody right that
still hasn't started treating you right. This is a painful message,
even for me. And you know the Bible says that

(01:36:34):
he could have led them a shorter way, a faster
and a shorter way, but He led them the long
way on purpose because they were not yet ready for war.
Said they thought, go in and possess the promised land,
but they didn't realize that the word possessed means to
first dispossess the current occupants. Once they crossed over that Jordan,

(01:36:56):
they had war after war after battle after battle. All
the land that God wanted them to take, somebody was
living on it, and they had to first deal with them.
So God kept them out in the wilderness, testing them
because he was building them up, He was strengthening them,
He was getting them to the point where they trusted
him and him alone. Before they could he could let

(01:37:17):
them go in, because they would have just gotten annihilated.
I said, sometimes we're praying for God to use us,
but we're not usable yet. And God wants to use us,
and the raw material is there, but we have to
go to the school of the Holy Ghost first. Amen.

(01:37:38):
You know when God spoke to me forty two years
ago when I was making my bed and said You're
going to go all over the world and teach my gospel. Oh,
I thought, surely, Next day, y'all, okay out there. You're

(01:38:01):
not ready for promotion until you can pass the test
one Peter one, six and seven. You have been grieved
by trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith,
which is more precious than gold that perishes though it
is tested by fire, may be found a result in
praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

(01:38:26):
You know, when Jesus comes back, he wants to find
a mature church, a church that's not all selfish and
self centered and only concerned about themselves. He wants to
come back to find a church that's walking in faith
and walking in love. And he said, why are you
going through these things? Your faith is being tested. You

(01:38:48):
know what happens every time you pass a test, your
faith gets a little bit stronger. I was thinking, and
I'm glad God reminded me of this. When do you
come to fully trust God? Well, I don't know if
any of us ever one hundred percent completely trust with
never having any doubt, But when do you come to

(01:39:12):
a place where your usual response to a problem is
to trust God, to not worry about it, to not
get upset about it, to not get anxious about it,
just pray about it and trust God. I'll tell you
what I think it takes. You won't go home and
trust God just because you heard a sermon tonight about

(01:39:33):
trusting God. What has to happen is we have to
have experience with God. And what I mean by that
is these issues and things come up in your life
and you find yourself shut in behind and before and
you finally figure out, well, I guess I'll just pray.

(01:39:55):
There's nothing else to do. That is the most ridiculous
because prayer should always be the very first thing that
we do, never a last ditch effort. I tell you,
just in this last six or seven months, I have
become more aware than ever of how powerful just a

(01:40:17):
simple prayer can be. It's not an obligation. It's a
privilege to be able to take our message to God
and say, would you get involved in this and help
me with it. Don't ever have a problem and not
pray about it, and don't try to do well God,

(01:40:39):
I've done everything.

Speaker 12 (01:40:40):
I can do.

Speaker 9 (01:40:40):
I guess I'll just pray. You pray first, because when
you pray, it opens a door for God to go
to work in your life and I mean pray about
everything everything. We had tickets to go see and Elvis impersonator.

(01:41:02):
When I was a teenager, Elvis was the big thing,
and I was a nutty fan like all the other teenagers,
and so we wanted to go see this Elvis impersonator.
Dave one going. I wanted to go, and so we
were able to get the two tickets we needed, but

(01:41:22):
they were the theater was just basically almost full. So
several weeks later, my daughter decided she wanted to go too,
and so God gave us favor and we got one
more ticket, but the place was just full. She was
not sitting with us, and you know, we really wondered
to be able to sit with us, and so I said,

(01:41:43):
let's just pray that God will open up seats next
to us or next to you. Well, that sounded ridiculous.
Had already told us that the theater was completely full.
And sometimes you don't even want to say, let's pray
about this, because then if God doesn't answer your prayer,
you know, and this other person now knows you've prayed
about it. But we got to get over all that stuff,

(01:42:05):
and so I said, let's just pray about hisself Lauren,
I pray that you'd open up seats next to Dave
and I next to Sandy so we can all sit together. Now,
if she would have sat with us, we would have
only needed one seat, But if we would have sat
with her, we would have needed our two seats and
then one other person that was with us. The show

(01:42:28):
started and next to Sandy was four empty seats. We waited,
you know, to make sure somebody wasn't just late, and
it became obvious that nobody was coming, and so we
moved back there and all got to sit together. And
that wasn't a coincidence. That wasn't luck. God heard my prayer.

(01:42:53):
That was not all that spiritual. Come on, I'm telling you,
pray about everything. Life can get so exciting if we
let God into stuff, and if we quit just falling
apart and throwing a fit every time things don't go
our way. But the more experience that you have with God,

(01:43:17):
little things like that, big things that He does for you,
the more experience you have with God, little by little,
the more you begin to trust him, and pretty soon
it just becomes natural. It's like you don't worry and
have to have reasons for everything, and know the answer
to everything. You just God is faithful. Does anybody understand

(01:43:40):
what I'm saying? And I'm telling you what when you
first come into a walk with the Lord and you're
here and trust God, it's not an easy thing because
we have not been brought up to trust anything except ourselves,
And so God has to first show us how feeble
we are and that we can't do anything without Him.

(01:44:04):
And we put our trust in people, so God shows
us their weaknesses and then we get all hurt. But
it actually even in that is good. One of the
greatest hurts I had in my life was when a
group of my friends I mean turned on me. I
was just I was in ministry and these ladies worked

(01:44:24):
with me and we had our little group, and you know,
these were my best buddies, and well, God was ready
to promote me to leaving that position and going to
my own ministry. I didn't know it yet though, And
one of them thought they got a word from God

(01:44:45):
that I was into new Age stuff and just I
mean just weird goofy stuff and prophesied God's gonna remem
the candlestick if you you know, And I'm like, what
is going on? I mean, it hurt me so bad

(01:45:07):
that I thought that I would absolutely die, and it
took me three years to get over it. It was
so painful to me because I trusted them and I
thought that they really loved me. But you know what,
later on, I realized if that wouldn't have happened when
God promoted me into my own ministry, I would have

(01:45:28):
taken every one of them and put them on my staff.
And you know, the higher up you go, if you
got the wrong people with you, the worst mess it's
going to make. So even when God is removing people

(01:45:48):
from your life, friends are disappointing you, you're finding out
people aren't what you thought they were. Don't get bitter
and think you can't trust anybody. Just thank God that
he's going to get you the friends that you need
that are actually going to build you up. But let
Jesus be your best friend.

Speaker 30 (01:46:08):
The man.

Speaker 9 (01:46:14):
Those were hard tests from even things that I had
to go through to do some of the things that
I'm doing now. How many of you tend to worry?
That's right. I put them up nice and hind none
of this stuff. You know, some mothers think they're not

(01:46:36):
good mothers and they don't worry about their kids. I
said something that somebody recently was doing my hair and
something about not worrying about your kid and she said, well,
you know, we just we're going to worry. And I thought, no,
I'm not. You know why I worried about my kids.

(01:47:00):
And they all grew up and they're all serving God,
and they've all got good lives. They've all still got imperfections,
but some of the ones that I thought would never
amount to anything. Come on, don't tell me you don't
have kids like you want or kill Will you ever
get out of the house and be able to take

(01:47:23):
care of yourself? Am I gonna have to take care
of you the rest of your life? And it's funny.
One of my daughters, who's just a real good friend
of mine, she was so messy and sloppy and forgetful,
and oh my gosh, I thought it would drive me

(01:47:45):
absolutely insane. And you know, i'd give the mother's speech,
if you're going to live in my house. Come on,
anybody know that speech. If you are gonna live in
my house, you are gonna do things by ways. And
that daughter, when she got away from me, got married,

(01:48:06):
she didn't speak to me for six months, and she
just let her house get in a mess. One day,
I was out with her and I had to go
to the bathroom and I said, let me go to
the bathroom or you're a place before I lay, she said, nope,
you're not coming in my house. You are not coming
in my house. I'll pray for you to make it home,

(01:48:28):
but you're not coming in my house. And that girl
now takes care of me. When I go to the doctor,
she goes with me so she can remind me of

(01:48:49):
what he said. She runs all my errands and takes
care of our finances first, with our money, of course,
but she still takes care of them. And I would
have never, in my wildest imagination ever have thought that
I could trust that girl to keep my life organized.

(01:49:10):
So I'm just telling him, you're worrying for nothing. Just pray,
be a good example, and go on about your business
and enjoy your little life, because they're going to grow
up and leave you home, and they're gonna surprise you

(01:49:30):
if you're a good example and you pray for them.
I do believe that if you train them up right,
eventually they'll come back around. They're doing what's right I
can't say that one hundred percent for sure all the time,
because we know people have free will. But I mean,
both of our sons work at the ministry, and I
can't get into all that. But you know, I would

(01:49:52):
have never thought that they could ever do what they're doing. Now,
all right, let's talk about a few times when it's
hard to trust God. Trusting when you don't see the way.
You know, God led the Israelites by ways that they
did not understand. They didn't know where their food was

(01:50:15):
going to come from, and they got hungry, and here
comes this stuff being rained out of the sky every morning,
and Manna just means what is it? And so they're like,
what is this? But He told them they could only
gather one day's worth at a time. But the test

(01:50:36):
was that there was more there, So the temptation was there.
You understand what I'm saying. He didn't just show up
with enough for each day. Outside each person's tent, the
ground was covered with the stuff, and God said only
enough for one day. I think in preparation for the Sabbath,

(01:51:00):
they could gather two days worth. But if they gathered
more than God told them to, it would get rotten.
And stink. God was determined to teach them how to
trust him, and I love talk about creativity. I don't
know that I would have cared for this, but he

(01:51:21):
said in Deuteronomy eight, for your clothing did not wear
out and your feet did not swell these forty years.
So forty years, ladies without a new outfit. What do
you think and you've been depressed because you didn't get

(01:51:41):
to go shopping for two weeks? What about trusting when
you don't understand? Oh my gosh, Lord, I was so
addicted to reasoning. I could not settle down until I
thought I understood what was going on in my life.
And we had these little mail slots at the office.

(01:52:01):
Then we I had maybe fifteen twenty employees, and they
each had a little mailbox. But it was just like
a little slot in the wall. And sometimes when you
were putting things in people's slots, you'd get something in
the wrong slot. So when God decided to speak to
me about this reasoning thing, he used that as an
example with me, and he said, you just think you've

(01:52:22):
got to have everything figured out before you can settle down.
But he said, half the time you think you've got
it figured out, But you've got it in the wrong slot.
But see, if I thought I had it figured out,
then I could calm down and be okay. And see.
So even when you think you've got God figured out,

(01:52:44):
you don't. That's why we have to really learn to
take life one day at a time and trust God
each day. A man's steps are from the Lord, How
then can a man understand his way? God sees the
whole picture that we only see what's right in front
of us. We want a blueprint for our whole life.

(01:53:04):
But God won't give you that. You know what He
gives you one step, one step. Well, God, what do
you want me to do with my life? We'll start
with getting out of bed and getting dressed, especially when
you're hurting. You know, sometimes when you're hurting, that's about

(01:53:25):
all you feel like you can manage is to get
out of bed, put something on, and go walk to
a chair and sit there for a while and then
get up maybe and try to walk somewhere else. I
remember one time when one of my kids was in
trouble and I was preaching, and I was in between preachings,
I'd go back to the back room and cry and
come back out and preach again, and I just felt

(01:53:49):
like I just if I could just just keep moving
and sure enough, God took care of it and always well,
how many things have you worried about in your life
that God took care of and it wouldn't have had
to worried at all? You've heard me say this, But
worry is like sitting in a rock and chairing rock
and he keeps you busy, but he gets you nowhere.

(01:54:11):
Worries another thing like trust. How can you get people
not to worry? I think we will worry until we
finally come to the point where we realize that it
just does no good. It just absolutely does no good.
It has so many terrible side effects, can give you

(01:54:33):
headaches and back aches and stomach problems, and make you
grouchy and hard to get along with, and can even deprive.
Mean wow, why not just give it to God and
go ahead and enjoy your life while God works on
your problems? Doesn't that sound good? Okay? You're ready for

(01:54:55):
a good one second. Corinthians one, eight and nine. We
do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the
affliction we experienced in Asia. This is Paul talking for
we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength, that we
despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had

(01:55:15):
received the sentence of death. But that was to make
us rely not on ourselves but on God, who raises
the dead. He said. We went through all this, and
out of it God taught us that we could not
rely on ourselves. See, sometimes you've got to have a

(01:55:36):
really big problem that you know you can't solve before
you'll ever even begin to go to God and try
to let him work on those situations. Trust is so
beautiful when you learn how to do it. And God
really is so faithful, And I don't know why sometimes

(01:55:58):
he takes so long to do things he could do
so fast if he just would you know what I mean, right?
I mean, if you could do it in a year,
why didn't you do it in a day, if you
could do it in a you know, I don't know.
And then all of a sudden you get a breakthrough
and you don't even know why. Now you know, why
not yesterday? Or who knows?

Speaker 38 (01:56:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (01:56:20):
We're not we don't get the answers to those questions.
If we didn't have unanswered questions, we would never need
to trust God.
