Speaker Information and Disclosures
Dr. Erin Reedy is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina, practicing speech-language pathologist, and board-certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders.
Dr. Reedy received a PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with Dr. Heather Bonilha at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University with Dr. Bonnie Martin-Harris in the Swallowing Cross-Systems Collaborative lab and Dr. John Pandolfino in the Esophageal Function lab.
Dr. Reedy is a passionate evidence-based practitioner and educator. She is interested in the interrelationships between oral, pharyngeal, and esophageal aspects of swallowing and has an independent line of research using high-resolution esophageal manometry to investigate esophageal function. Her research has centered on patient populations at risk for oropharyngeal and esophageal dysphagia, including post-lung transplant.
