God has given us, those who are followers of Jesus, the privilege and responsibility to carry His name well.

The Hebrew people of the Old Testament interpreted the Commandment "You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God" to mean they should never speak the name of Yahweh, even going so far as to create a substitute name to use in place of what they wouldn't speak.

But God willingly entrusts His reputation and His story to Jesus-followers, and we have the privilege and responsibility to carry The Name well.  As this message reminds us, God frequently uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.  With the Holy Spirit coming alongside, there can be no excuses for thinking we can't obey the Colossians 3 teaching that whatever we do in word or deed, we're to do in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
