Questions about the legitimacy of this historic election are rising out of the chaos: a hindered postal service, claims of voter fraud, and a global pandemic.  But another question is the legitimacy of our votes. So let's talk about your ballot:  What do all the different races mean? Which races are important? How do I pick a candidate? Can my  vote actually affect change? How does change actually happen? 

And most importantly: Does my vote count? 

Because for some Americans, it won’t.
