Are you feeling buried in thedaily grind of running your
(01:04):
business in the weeds, so tospeak, wondering why all the
effort that you're putting inisn't paying off the way you had
envisioned?
Well, let me ask you this.
What if the issue isn't howhard you're working, but it's
because you're trying to buildyour business on a shaky
foundation because you don'thave the right systems holding
(01:27):
it up?
Think about that for a second.
You're hustling, you're showingup, you're putting in the hours
, you're losing sleep, butyou're not seeing the growth you
want.
If that hits home, you'redefinitely in the right place,
because today we're going totalk about how you can turn your
back office chaos into a strongfoundation for growth and
(01:50):
freedom, using my power inmotion framework, because it's
time for you to stop spinningyour wheels and start building a
business that works for you,not the other way around.
Picture this you wake up readyto take on the day.
You fix your morning cup ofcoffee, you do a little
journaling or Bible reading asyou sip on that coffee and enjoy
(02:13):
the quietness in the room.
Then you get ready to startyour day.
You've got it all planned out.
You're determined.
You're going to check off everyitem on your to-do list, but by
noon you're overwhelmed.
The emails keep coming in.
You've had to put out severalfires for a client and then you
find out that a major process isbroken and you don't know how
(02:37):
to fix it.
Does that sound familiar?
It's okay, I've been there too.
This is actually where a lot ofentrepreneurs get stuck,
because they're jugglingeverything, feeling pulled in
every direction and leftwondering why they're still in
the same place that they weresix months ago.
I get it Again.
(02:58):
I've been there.
I remember one morning that Isat down at my desk staring at a
sea of files on my desktop.
I needed to find a contract fora client, and after 10 minutes
of searching, I couldn't locateit.
Not only was I frustrated, butit also drained my energy and my
(03:19):
productivity.
At that moment, that's when Irealized that my digital clutter
wasn't just annoying, it wascosting me time and keeping me
from being productive.
So let's do something aboutthat right now.
If this is something that you'vebeen putting off, here's a
quick one challenge for you.
Take a look at your computerdesktop.
(03:41):
Is it covered in random filesand icons?
If it is, I want you to pausethis episode and create one
folder call it ORGANIZEME, and Iwant it in all caps, so that
this folder stands out.
Then take a deep breath anddrag every single file on your
(04:05):
desktop into that folder.
Now, this isn't aboutperfection.
This is about making progress, and progress beats perfection
every time.
Once you've done that, I wantyou to look at your clean
desktop.
It feels good, right?
Well, that's our ultimate goalwith getting organized having
(04:27):
clarity that creates mentalspace for what matters most to
you.
Now imagine what gettingorganized could do for your
entire business when you createsystems that work.
Now I'm going to share a truestory with you that shows the
power of getting organized.
One of the first projects that Itackle with every client is
digital organization.
(04:48):
For example, I had a client whohad a six-figure business and
it was growing fast.
Now, on the outside, herbusiness looked successful
because it was at least on thebooks.
Her clients loved her workbecause she was good at what she
does.
She still is, and her calendaris always booked in advance.
But behind the scenes, it wasabsolute chaos.
(05:12):
She had two Dropbox accounts, two Google Drives and no clear
separation between her personaland her business documents.
Her digital files werescattered across random folders
or in no folders at all.
Her calendar was a totalnightmare of overlapping
(05:35):
meetings.
She was always overbooked andher client onboarding process,
which was non-existent, was soinconsistent that she always
forgot steps and this alwayscaused complications.
Later she was overwhelmed, exhausted and constantly worried
(05:56):
about dropping the ball, because she did a lot.
She spent more time putting outfires than actually doing
productive work, so her businesswasn't just chaotic, it was
really running her into theground.
So our first project wascleaning up her desktop and her
digital files by separating andconsolidating everything into a
(06:19):
single system.
That's where we implementedwhat I now call a power week.
We tackled her digital junkdrawer head on, organizing
everything into a system thatworked for her, and it has been
a game changer From there.
We were able to createstreamlined and repeatable
(06:40):
processes, including theonboarding process, and that
removed the guesswork from heroperations.
Now, for the first month, everything was working well.
For the first time, she feltlike she finally had her
business under control.
But then chaos started creepingin.
Does that sound familiar?
So at our 30-day check-in call,we dug into what was happening
(07:04):
and she had an aha moment.
She had started slipping backinto her old habits and wasn't
using the system the way webuilt it to work.
But once she recommitted to theprocess and made her systems
part of her daily routine, letting them do their job,
everything changed.
(07:24):
Within a few months she wassticking to her office hours,
taking unplugged weekends andvacations with no laptop and no
stress, because she knew herbusiness would keep running
without her.
That's the power of combiningsystems with discipline.
Systems only work if you letthem.
(07:45):
They don't restrict you.
They actually create space inyour daily life, and that space
gives you the freedom you wantand need to focus on what
matters most in your life and inyour business.
And this transformation tiesdirectly into the Power in
Motion framework, because it'snot just about organizing your
files.
It's about building a solidfoundation in your business that
(08:07):
sets you up for long-termsuccess.
Now, if you're curious aboutall five steps of this framework
and how they work together, Igo into each of them in detail
in another episode, which is theultimate end-of-year planning
framework to build momentum fornext year.
I'll put a link in the shownotes so you can check that out
later.
(08:27):
Now here's a hard truth.
I don't want you to have tolearn this the hard way.
Without systems, your businessisn't scalable.
Actually, it's a house of cardsthat can fall apart very easily
.
Every minute you spend onthings that could be automated
or delegated, it's not just timewasted, it's time that is
(08:50):
stolen from the things thatmatter most to you.
That's your health, your familyand growing your business.
So let's flip the script.
Imagine freeing up just twohours a week.
What could you do with thattime?
Maybe it's taking a walk toclear your mind and getting more
movement.
Maybe you can enjoy anuninterrupted coffee break or
(09:13):
lunch out with a girlfriendduring the day, or finally being
able to sit down and read thatbook that's been sitting on your
nightstand for months.
Those two hours is not justtime saved.
There are moments you canreclaim for yourself.
But guess what?
None of that is possiblewithout systems.
(09:34):
Now would it be helpful for youto have access to resources
that make this process a littlebit easier for you?
Well, inside of the MightySociety membership, I've created
workbooks, templates and otherresources that will not only
help you build systems tailoredto your unique business and its
needs, but there are resourcesin there to help you learn how
(09:55):
to make time for yourself andpractice self-care daily.
These aren't cookie cuttersolutions.
They're designed to help youstreamline your operations and
reclaim your time, and, onceyour systems are in place,
discipline is what keeps themworking for you.
This is how you buildsustainable growth not by
(10:17):
working harder, but by workingsmarter.
But systems are only part ofthe equation.
Let's talk about your mindset.
Systems won't fix the chaosyou're experiencing if you're
stuck in survival mode, and thisis where the three C's come
into play.
That's calm, clarity andcommitment.
(10:37):
Being calm protects your energyand helps you stay grounded
when things feel overwhelming.
That's why my tagline is keepcalm and streamline.
And then clarity that helps youstay focused on solving the
right problems instead ofspinning your wheels and wasting
time on the wrong ones.
(10:57):
And commitment well, this is agame changer.
Commitment turns your progressinto lasting success.
Now, there is one thing thatI've noticed all of my clients
have in common that keeps themfrom sticking to their systems
once they're in place.
It's fear.
Whether it's fear of letting go, fear of trusting someone else,
(11:19):
fear of trusting the system orfear of failure, they experience
either one or all of thesethings and they start slipping
back into their old habits.
So, whether you experience oneor all of these, fear will keep
you clinging to the chaos andthen accepting it as a normal
(11:40):
way of living, and we don't wantthat.
Here's the thing, though.
Discipline.
Don't want that.
Here's the thing, thoughDiscipline it's not restrictive,
it's actually liberating.
Discipline allows you the spacethat you need to focus on what
matters most while letting go ofthe rest.
That's what real self-carelooks like for us as business
owners.
It's being able to say I matterenough to create a business
(12:05):
that supports my life, not theother way around.
So here's something else I wantyou to do for your next quick
win Grab the BizOps checklistvia the link in the show notes.
In less than two minutes.
It's gonna help you pinpointexactly where your systems are
leaking time Spoiler alert.
You're going to feel the samesense of clarity that you got
(12:28):
from cleaning up your desktop, but on a much bigger scale, when
you complete that checklist.
Now, if digital file clutter iswhat's holding you back, then
that's where a power week comesin.
It's a focused work week wherewe map out what you want your
filing system to look like, andI do the heavy lifting and clean
(12:49):
up and organize your digitalfiles while you spend your time
somewhere else.
It's the perfect solution ifyou want to start with a clean
slate and then build from there.
Now let's do a recap of what wetalked about today.
First of all, beingdisorganized leads to chaos,
which is what's holding you back, but systems and discipline
(13:11):
unlock the freedom that youdesire, and systems are not just
good tools to have at yourdisposal.
They are the foundation ofgrowth, the keys to clarity and
freedom.
We also talked about themindset shifts that you need to
embrace to make it all workKeeping calm to protect your
energy and keep you grounded, having clarity to solve the
(13:32):
right problems and be productive.
And then being committed tomaking changes, not slipping
back into your bad habits.
So the progress that you'vemade leads to more success,
which is what you want.
Now it's time for you to takeaction.
