Acknowledging your own fear and worry is normal. I thought that the Hurricane Ida did not affect me much, but after some reflecting, I realized that it did. I was scared, worried and at the same time collected. Many people were affected by the Hurricane Ida. Many people were scared, stranded, flooded, lost homes or families. When you are in a horrific situation it sure can bring up many different thoughts, feelings and memories for you. I cannot relate in many ways, but I can relate when it comes to fear, worry and feeling powerless. What pushes us forward? What is our survival strategy in moments of fear?
This episode was recorded shortly after the Hurricane Ida, with barely any sleep, to reflect and to share. To allow others to relate and to reflect on their own experiences with Ida or other horrifying events.
