Catherine began her career as a corporate litigator at a white-shoe, top-tier law firm in Washington, DC, in 2010. As she grew in her self-awareness, she began to look at herself from the outside. She realized she was a Type-A, over-achieving go-getter who seemed to have it all figured out — at least on paper.
After a few years in that fast-paced, high-stakes, sleep-when-you’re done, big-law life, she finally looked up and realized that a career path toward the partnership wasn’t actually for her.
She knew she needed to create a different livelihood by redefining success and seeking opportunities to immerse herself in her passions.
