"Everybody Lies." - House, MD

This is a quote from one of my favorite TV characters of all time, played by Hugh Laurie. This is what Dr. House would repeatedly tell his residents whenever they couldn’t solve a diagnostic puzzle. In other words, the reason they couldn’t solve the puzzle was because they were assuming the patient told the truth on their patient history interview. “Everybody Lies,” he would say flatly. But, do they?

In this episode we look at some studies from the world’s leading research institutions to discover if House’s favorite saying holds truth.
