Swehl Co-Founder Betsy Riley is here! Betsy started Swehl with Elizabeth Myer to create the one-stop-shop for navigating the modern day breastfeeding experience through education, community and products. Before Swehl, Betsy founded Doyenne, a women’s club where she grew the membership to over 3000 execs nationally in just two years before it was acquired by AllBright.
AND Betsy is a mother of two toddlers, which is what awakened her to the need for better support during this stage of parenthood.
In our conversation, we discuss what it means to build community today, what it was like to raise money for a company that was seen as “just for moms” (and how other mothers were sometimes the most critical), the power of role models, and the incredible work private companies are doing to bring support to families in the absence of public support.
Enjoy this conversation with the woman we wish was our neighbor! And check out Swehl at swehl.com.
