Peace as the capacity to maintain perfection and wholeness is no longer an indicative of Christ’s salvific work. It is now an imperative, a new way of being in Christ. Righteousness came through Christ’s death as a free gift for the justification and life for all men. However, there is a category of men who simply receive the peace of God and others who are viewed as God’s reconciliation and peace unto others.
