π‹π’π§ππš 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐒𝐧𝐞 is the sister of one of the most famous, beloved and storied runners of all time whose life was tragically cut short in the 1970’s as he was preparing for the 1976 Olympics. She has been the guardian of his iconic legacy ever since. In the early 1970’s, her brother π’π­πžπ―πž 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐒𝐧𝐞 was one of America’s greatest long distance runners. From 1973 to 1975, he set American records at every distance from 2,000 to 10,000 meters. He competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics, and he was preparing for the 1976 Olympics with the Oregon Track Club. Steve’s career, or Pre as he is fondly known, alongside those of Jim Ryun, Frank Shorter, & Bill Rodgers, generated considerable media coverage, which helped inspire the 1970s "running boom. In that sense, Pre was one of the pioneers of the running boom.
