Brett has played guitar professionally for almost his entire life. He has built a reputation as one of Australia's top pop, rock and commercial studio musicians having further toured in Australia and the USA with A list entertainers.
For many years, Brett was the lead guitarist for John Farnham, Australia's most successful pop singer. This included playing on Farnham's album 'Whispering Jack' which sold over 1.7 million copies and remains the highest selling album ever by an Australian artist in Australia.
Brett also toured and recorded with Nelson, a successful rock band based in the USA headlined by the two Nelson twins, the sons of rock and TV legend, the late Rick Nelson.
This conversation covers a wide range of topics including the importance of getting a good teacher, learning to play songs, being able to read standard music notation, being versatile, understanding the home recording studio environment and taking opportunities when they present themselves.
