Episode 22 of The Music Mind Podcast features Jamie Rigg as my special guest. A professional pianist, musical director, performer, composer, producer and music educator with more than 50 years full-time industry experience, Jamie has built an amazing career in the entertainment industry based out of Sydney, Australia.

For 18 years Jamie traveled the world as pianist and musical director for the late, great Ricky May, a New Zealand born award winning singer and entertainer who climbed the heights of the music business within Australia and abroad.

Jamie has been musical director for all of the major television networks in Australia and has performed with a who's who of the local and international music scene.

This podcast conversation covers a wide variety of topics including performing on television, writing for the great television bands and artists, travelling the world as an MD to a major artist, getting practical outcomes from music education courses and grabbing opportunities whenever they present themselves.

For the music collaboration between host and guest for this episode Jamie chose the famous jazz standard made popular by Fats Waller, Ain't Misbehaving. The collaboration features Jamie Rigg on vocals and piano with Brian Hayes on Bass Clarinet.
