Look, since we since we last spoke, have been a
lot of a lot of sports going on, NFL, college baseball,
basketball and full of fact n B A college basketball.

So ship, let's jump right into it first, let's let's
jump into the MLB. We we don't talk about baseball
much on the show, but I think we you know,
the LA Dodgers deserve a salute and the congregations for
the way they balled out in that seven game series
against Toronto.

I probably watched like four games out the series, but
each game I watched it was like it was highly entertaining.
There's a lot of drama, a lot of big clutch
batting and also field in. I mean, I enjoyed it. Man,
and that guy Old Tany, Oh my god, he might.
You know, I'm always do one to say Barry Bonds

the greatest to ever do it. But he has an
opportunity to when it's all said and done, go ahead
and take that number one spot.

For sure, he definitely brings a lot, man and shipp
not on him. What's the other little picture? They got
your your tomic o or whoever he pitched back to
back games?

Like I said, I watched two games and like I said,
holly entertaining. Both for the games that went into overtime,
you know, extra at my overtime extra innings and you know,
hat hats off to the Blue Jays man, because they pushed.
They definitely pushed the Dodgers. I think the Dodgers was

favorite to win that whole thing. Then Blue Jays gave
him everything that they could handle. So it was a
great series for sure.

In fact, actually I watched every game. I'm a big
I am a big a baseball fan when it comes
to the playoffs, especially the World Series. I mean, the
last game seven was amazing. Last Monday when I was
in DC watching that game that went, I mean I

started watching it with myself and Pee Wee and JD.
We was just smoking cigars at the crier and we
thinking that it is getting ready to be over with it.
They nine in and in, ten innings in, and they
go all the way to eighteen and something crazy.

You know, they almost broke the record.

That was That was great, great baseball guys making outstanding plays, pitching, hitting, batting.
That was dope.

That's the best baseball World Series I have ever seen.

In with my own two hours of my life my life,
I've never seen nothing like that. And as far as
Toronto giving them all they got, ship Toronto should have.

Won, yeah, for sure, and.

A chance to win, but it just goes to show
you when you it's the little things and sometimes big
time players make big time plays. And some of the
LA Dodgers, man, they just kept believing and kept fighting.
You know, tip your hat to them for being back
to back champions. It takes a lot to do that.
So lou to them. They already talking about spring training

out here in February already. It's crazy. Yeah, they already
talking about getting the schedule ready. Who's playing and who
at the at the at the little at the Talking
Stick Stadium, So they already getting it going February.

So it's crazy.

But that was the best baseball I've ever witnessed with
my own two eyes. In watching the World Series, it
was I can truly say I watched history.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
Yeah, I've agree with you on that because for sure, yeah, yea.
So let's bounce over to NFL. Man, There's been a
lot of action in the NFL, but I think we
should start off with the Washington Commanders. And they had
that unfortunate injury with j D five Jaydeon Daniels, you know,

ended the game with a dislocated elbow. Uh, A lot
of criticism against the coach for having them out there
in the game where the game was out of reach
and you got your quarterback out there, still out there,
willing to deal and running the ball and stuff, and
and putting himself at risk for an injury.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
You know, Uh, what's your guys thoughts on that?

Speaker 8 (06:07):
Go ahead, cook, I didn't think he should have been
playing a game in the first place, regardle the hell
would have been in the game when it was out
of reach. He shouldn't have been back out there anyway.
He's coming off of uh well, a knee injury, hamstring,
and he don't have all his weapons out there, so

why would you put him out there? And the line
is not that good, so you got him out there.
There's nobody that the defense is afraid of, so they
putting eight in the box and just going at him.

So he already in harm's way.

Speaker 8 (06:41):
So you know, put Marioda out there, Let Mary Old
take the reps, let him get his you know, let him,
let him get better and at least when he has
his weapons back, you know, go out there full force
where he stands a chance ship right off the back
of the first play. They went at him.

They let him know right off the back were coming after.

We're not We're not. There's nobody else all you we're
concerned about. So I just I just thought it was
just bad coaching, bad decision making. And you know, they
just got to be smarter with him. You know, the
kid is young, and you don't want to repeat the
RG three stuff. But again it comes down to maybe
he wanted to play. I don't know, you know, I
don't know how how Quinn runs his program, but you know,

sometimes you got to protect players from themselves. I just
me as a just as a fan of football, I
just didn't think it was cool for him to be
out there in the first place.

So well, yeah, yeah, I see where you go on
with that coach. But you know, as a player, you know,
if you if you cleared to play and you're healthy
enough to play, you want to be out there on
the field. I mean, football is a violence sport, you
know what I mean. You can't duct that wreck, you
know what I mean. He's a primetime quarterback even if
you don't have all your weapons. You know, he's I mean,

I know he's in the second year, but they put
him in a position or a level as a quarterback
to where you can uplift the guys around you. So
and I know Washington is in the is in the
business of trying to win games. So you know, if
if you got your star player ready to go, why
sit him when he can go out there and potentially

get you get you a win. I do agree he
shouldn't have been out there at the end of the game,
but I also see the other side of the coin
in terms of, Okay, you haven't played in two three weeks,
you know what I mean, You might be rest, you
might not be in game shape. So the coach want
to get him some reps, Get get that confidence back,
get hit a couple of times, you know, just get

back in the mix.

I can see it from from that, and it's easy
in hindsight after somebody get in just say, oh, you know,
he shouldn't have been out there and all that good stuff.
But players play man. Players want to play it. You know,
jayde and Dangel seemed like an ultimate competitor, so I
know he didn't want to.

Be on the sideline.

If you know that he could physically gu out there
and do his thing and actually he looked. He did
look good, I know, like you said, Coach, he didn't
have a lot of people with him, but he personally
looked like he was moving good. Look like he was
slinging the ball around a little bit, you know what
I'm saying. So, I mean it's unfortunately he got injured,
but I can see both sides of the coin while

he was still still out there. But I like to
hear old perspective as our resident subject matter expert to
get his thoughts.

Uh, It's a double edged sword, like coach Milton said,
sometimes you got to protect players from themselves.

With that being said, good luck trying to stop me
from playing. If I'm cleared. It ain't about to check
with me. It's just about competing world great, right. Yeah,
with that being said, coach, gotta find a way to
sometime try to keep you from.

Going out there, right, protect for yourself.

It's a double edged sword.

And they were in a tough situation because they definitely
need to get a win as well. Washington season not
going away. A lot of people thought it was going
to go shout out to Gee Fredo Dalha Washington uh
fan and we got a lot more fan friends and
family of the show. This dalhard fans.

just they're just in a tough situation.

I don't think the d I think they try to
do a quick band aid fixed with the young boy Lattimore.
I'm not gonna lie. I thought he would be playing
a little bit better, uh than what he had showed
this year. I thought with him having a training camp,
I thought he was gonna come in and try to
you know, just lock you know, lock ship down and
then maybe get a little small time, get another two

year deal or something like that, get a little extension
and finish his career here. It didn't work out like
that for him, so and uh, you know, he wound
up getting hurt. Prayers going out to him and his
uh but you know, Washington got a lot more things
to fix then what's just going on with uh Jay

Jay the Dames. So it's unfortunate. Like I said, it's
a double ed short. But you know it's part of
the game, man. That's what makes football the greatest sport
there is. It's a gladiator sport, man, and sometimes it's
about getting healthy as well as playing good ball at
the right time. And if you could do those things

and move forward and get healthy and be playing good
ball at the right time, you stand a chance of
you know, moving forward in the playoffs and doing those things.
Washington is battling some tough things right now, and it's
not just injuries. It's a guy's second I think it's
some coaches, uh, you know, second guessing some of the players.

And I think some of the players that they have
uh you know, I mean I think I think, what
is it like nine players they have heard or something
like that. It's it's something they almost up there with
the forty nine ers. Yeah, yeah, with something crazy like that.
So injuries is tough. It is a part of the game.
It could work two ways for you. It could be
like it could be a young boy waiting in the win,

ready to step up and go crazy. But it could
also be a young boy that's waiting in to win
and he ain't. They not ready yet, so mm hmm
both ways. But it's all right. They you know, they
got it. They're gonna be okay, you know what I mean.
He'll bounce back from it. The good thing about.

It is not his throwing arm. It's his opposite one, so.

And it's and it's only not only dislocated, but it's
it's dislocated versus broken. So he should have a clean,
clean recovery coming back. And that's the that's the encouraging part.
Like you said, it's not as throwing on it's it's
not as bad as it could have been. And uh,
you know, he'll be back out there, I'm sure before

before the season is over.

And I didn't realize that Washington had the oldest roster

Like I said, JD five man, wishing him nothing but
the best speedy recovery. Doctor Dillon is one of the
guys that I work with personally, work with athletes too.
I know he's worked with him in the last two years,
and he's going to continue to work with him. So
shout out to doctor Dylon as well and help bring
that young man back.

Yeah, we had a we had some other big games
on top this past Sunday. What you think about that
Chiefs Bills game. Bills looked like they were dominant from
the onset of the game, and they they really put
a lot of pressure on Patrick Mahole. Patrick Mahole's look
as I've never seen him so frustrated and rush well

I did. That's the worst I've seen him since since then.
And I don't know, do you think Buffalo got their
number now or is it just the old story where
Buffalo winning the regular season?

Speaker 3 (15:03):
You know, I just think they win in the regular season,
But we'll see what happened when it counts. But the
bottom line is they created a great robbery and it's
good for that.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
Yeah, I thought they were gonna pull off the Brestaw trade.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
If they would have got that.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
Done, Chief Bresaut to the Chiefs would have would solidified
their backfield for real.

But you know they're they're alarming, you know, their their
offensive alarms all the scen I think they had a
couple of guys down and you know with Patrick man
he getting all his weapons back, it takes time. And Buffalo,
you know, Buffalo has some new defensive wrinkles, so they
went after him early, sped them up, got him looking around,
made him uncomfortable. But ship at the end of the game,

he was still what at one point game he still
had a chance to go down to try to tie
it up. Like Old said, I think, you know, we'll
see what they do in the playoffs. But you know,
no real concern of the Chiefs. Man, they're gonna they're
gonna reload and get some guys back, get healthy, and
uh you know, hopefully they you know, they'll make some
adjustmente on defense and uh, you know, we'll see what

they look like in the playoffs, because they're definitely gonna
be there.

Right yeah, coach, you know, you being a former Dallas
Cowboys fan or cal girls.

Uh, Were you surprised that the Cargos jumped on them

Not really, because I think I think Coby Brissett has
some dudes playing man like. The Cardinals got a good
squad like they they they've lost games, but it's been
close games. I think they've lost every game less than
like five points or something like that, so it's not
like they haven't been in the games. And Coby Brisett
bringing that thing that we all, I know we've talked
about on the show, is he's bringing leadership to that offense.

So you know, you.

Got they got weapons and he's using them. And their
defense has always been decent. Dallas's problem is has always
been their defense. And you know, I think someone said
it on one of the shows like that, you know
they the offense is pressing now because they got to
score forty or more points to win. And the problem is,

you know, they've always up until this point, they've been
able to put points on the board. But if you
get them playing behind what you know what they're gonna do.
So you know, I think I think the Cardinals are
riding a wave right now.

I think they're gonna have some issues.

We're trying to figure out what they're gonna do with
the quarterback situation. I think they have a you know,
a quarterback controversy going on. But it's no shocking, you know,
no shock what's going on with Dallas. I like to
trade the Dallas that truck. Dallas got. They got the
boy Wilson, they got the kid from what Williams from

the Jets. So they trying to address some of the
defensive issues that may help them for the remainder of
the season. But I think Dallas gonna be okay. You know,
Dak playing well, He still played well yesterday from what
I saw. H you know, they just jumped on them
early and didn't didn't look back, you know, and that's

that's it's hard to play from behind when you know,
you gotta score forty five points and.

More than went to even be in the game.

So and then if your offense is not clicking, then
you ship you you might as well pack it up
and be you know, let's let's you know, let's load
it up and get ready for next week.

So, you know, in hindsight, do do you feel differently
about the Michael Parson's trade. You know, looking at the
Cowboys defense and their ability to get to the quarterback,
or you think that that the trade was was warranted.

I really don't feel any way about it because if
you look at it, it looked like that whole thing.

Was personal between Jerry and Michael.

Speaker 8 (19:02):
I don't think it was really a business decision because
have Michael son when he was you know, when they
talked about him Son and he'd be there right now.
For some reason, it didn't work out. Jerry felt disrespected.
Michaeh hasn't spoken on it since then. But Michaeh wasn't
going you know, he's a game change, but he ain't.

He won't gonna do much for him on that defensive
side of the ball. They need a lot of help
on the back end. You know, he can he can
make plays that changes some of the outcomes of some
of the plays that may give the back end some help.

But as far as the trade itself, no.

I don't think it's you know, Michael, Michael's doing the
same thing at Green Bay that he would have been
doing at Dallas, and Dallas has probably looked the same way.
If Michael would have stayed, they still needed help. I
think Dallas actually is coming out on a good side
of it and on the better side of him just
because of the trades day. I think Wilson is a
good linebacker that they got from the Bengals, and ship

Quentin Williams is a dog up front, So you know,
I think I think right now for the immediate future,
I think Dallas is gonna be okay, you know, with
what they were able to do since Michael's gone. But
if Michael was in Dallas, he wouldn't be making, you know,
he'd be doing He'd be making the same place he's
doing in Green Bay, still doing Michael shit, you know.

Yeah he Hey, oh, don't put your coaching hat on
real quick. What would you do to fix the Dallas Cowboys.

I'll go draft some I'll go draft some people in
the UH in the secondary, I'll get one linebacker. I'll
go get a safety. I mean, if you're gonna trade
for Quinton Williams and and UH you traded for Jack Wilson,
you'd be able to get a good or our in
free agency, I'll go get a good corner, a veteran corner,

somebody like that and that sort of towards the end
did their career. You know, just want that that's been
playing solid, you know, that can come in and sort of,
uh help the young boy blaying out so Blaine don't
have to, you know, check the number one so much.
I think Blaine is starting to understand I was doing
a lot better at being the number two corner.

No disrespect to him, because number one, number two by
nine as he is in the NFL doing his thing.
But it's tough when you gotta, you know, day in
and day out go against that number one. And I
think with Diggs being injured, he's still out right, he's out.

being injured. It's tough, you know. I thought they, I
thought they. I thought the safety hooker was gonna be
a lot better pro. That's the reason why he got
drafted so high by the Indianapolis coach coming out of
the Ohio State University. I thought he was gonna come
in and tell the league up and go crazy. And

it didn't work out for him in Indie. I thought
being in Dallas be a big change. You know, you're
on prime time every game and uh, he's made some plays,
but just not that type of safety. I thought, you know,
he was gonna you know, turn out to be or whatever.
But they gotta they just got a few holes. I
think they have to, uh, they gotta to fill Paul

uh and and I think they'll be okay. I think
Jerry gonna try to go all in uh this offseason.
And I think these are just some of the pieces
that he is making to move because now it's not
just about the Dallas Cowboys being good. It's not just
about the Dallas Cowboys being on all the social media

and all media period. It's about him being able to
say I told you so that I got rid of
Michael Parsons and we still I told you we was
gonna be okay. I told you that he can be replaced.
He's not the you know, the type of player that
people thought, you know, he was, or whatever the case was.

Think it was personal between them too, and he's gonna
do whatever he can to try to make sure that
he It looks like that he made the right move
by trading him to Green Bay, so you think, but
shout out to him making it because I think the
Quentin Williams thing and the other boy that is a
hell of a start. And Zach Wilson even though he

was in Bengals and we playing the young boy. I
don't know why you don't just put the exactly where
he at and put the young boy right beside him.
But that's just what Cincinnati jingles, that's just what we do.
We do dumb ship. So it is what it is.

And you think that, You think that because Pickings Pickings
is on a one year deal, right, you think they'll
get Pickings signed and get him back.

Oh, I'm not. I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm
not a big Pickings fan. I think you can find
a I think you can find a guy in college
that can run run ross just as good as Pickings.

I think he is doing what he needs to do
and acting accordingly because he don't want to, you know,

to be on good behavior and he got everything gotta
be right. But I just don't trust Pickings as a
football player. I don't trust him as a pro. I

tell him to his face, if I was in the
locker room, I wouldn't even really rock with him like that,
you know what I mean. Just it's not my type
of pro, not my type of player. I love his celebration,
loving making plays, but he's had an opportunity to be
the guy and just doing dumb stuff. It cause him

to get out of Pittsburgh and not be the guy.

I'm you know, a lot of people say I'm old.
I got a you know, old school whatever, But you know,

just not I'm not sold. I think if you got
a guy like Ceedee Lamb, you got that tight end,
you know, running running games coming along, they should have
never let the young boy go that's in Carolina. They
should have just yeah, they should have kept him. I

just think that, Uh. I think, uh, the Cowboys is
going to I think they're gonna be good, and I
think that the trade that they made is definitely going
to put them in the right direction. But go get
go get secondary, whether it's free agency or the draft,
preferently free agency or get you a veteran and then

maybe draft the corner in the third second round, so
that way he can sort of raise him up, so
that way he'd be ready to boogey in a year
or two.

Yeah, And I can say about Pickings, I think I
felt the same way that you feel about him o
dog when he was in Pittsburgh. But I think being
in Dallas gave him new life. And then also he
is on a one year contract, so.

on his best behavior, but we all go back to
our factory. He sat at some point.

And that's that's and that's warranty. I don't mind talking trash.
Who come on man coaches to see this ship, they

not none of my peers, none of my people that
I went to Warard would play with or played against. No,
I did not play around when it came to the
game that we call football. I took that shit seriously.

to know too much, but I damn sure know football.
And people that disrespect that game that showed me so
much and was able to show me the world, I'm like,
you know what I mean, because I know so many people,
