Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to the No Cast Sports, your podcast with sports
and convos Collide. I'm your host, Kobe Turner a ka
to Cobra.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I'm your host. More money, I'm your host.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Oh whatever, fellas.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Man. Super Bowl week.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Yeah, this is a super Bowl edition that the No
Cast Sports. Yeah, and Blockbuster Trade Edition.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Yes, sir, yeah, huh this a super Bowl edition.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, the super Bowl edition, the trade edition. Hey, look,
we got a lot to rap about.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
Man.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
It's it's some it's some good sports uh topics out
there this week that I know our views and listeners
are waiting to hear our opinion on. So look, man,
we ain't gonna we ain't gonna beat around the bush man.
Let's start with this match up between Titans and the
Super Bowl. We got the Philadelphia Eagles versus the Kansas
City chief heiny, more money, man, I want to get

(01:02):
your predictions on this Super Bowl right here, and I
also want to know what are your keys to victory?

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Man.

Speaker 6 (01:10):
So my prediction is I'm taking the Kansas City Chiefs.
I typically don't bet against greatness, man. I was wrong
against Tom Brady twice, but I'm taking Pat Mahomes. As
far as keys, the victory. It's very simple. Old dogs
said it like three four weeks ago. As the Eagles go,
so that sain kwon Barker. So if you can find

(01:30):
a way to make Jalen Hurts play quarterback, I believe
the Kansas City Chiefs have a shot to beating the
Philadelphia Eagles. Now on the flip side, for the Philadelphia Eagles,
they have to do the opposite. You cannot blitz at Mahomes.
You gotta send four and put a lot of people
on the back end and just pray that he have

(01:52):
all games.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
So those are my keys to victory.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Man, oh dog, what you like about this matchup in
the Super Bowl this coming Sunday, Well, I like Lamar.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
I think Lamar Jackson want to play a good game.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You know. I think he's gonna do well.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
You know, yeah, I think it's I think it's his
first Sugar Bowl and uh you know, oh.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Hit my bady, that's match Lamar.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
I forgot. I forgot he was over he and Cabo,
He and Cabo with Joey b and.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Them, and that don't leave my money out.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
That they they don't They didn't invite doctor Cabo.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
That ain't even their vacation. I think that professional team
out of Cabo.

Speaker 6 (02:40):
That go to that that that go to the King
Kun and you know that go to he down in
Mississippi somewhere.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
You know what I say that joking, Yeah, yeah, chilling.

Speaker 6 (02:53):
I like, uh, I like, uh, Philadelphia, I'm going with.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
I'm going with Philadelphia to stop the thing.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
I think the defense is gonna take it upon themselves
to go out.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
And challenge, uh the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
But I am putting my money on can't sit but
I but I want Philadelphia to win. And uh, I
want to say Kawin Barkley because he is, like I said,
like I've been saying this whole year, like I've been
saying before, he is the ultimate pro. And uh, I
just love the way the young man, you know, goes
at and attacks the football game. And uh, I think

(03:33):
he deserves it as well as some of those other guys.
But I think, I hope. I just want to see
a good game. I just want to see a good game.
And I think what's gonna come down to is like
with money, mol just said, uh, Kent's City gonna force
Jalen Hurst to have to make some throws and if
he makes those throws unlike what uh the number quarterback

(03:54):
for the Baltimore Ravens does, as long as he doesn't
hit anybody on sideline or you know, throw interceptions or
drop fumbles like what number eight did for Baltimore Ravens.
You know, the regular season m v P. Then, Uh,
I think Philadephia got a chance.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Boy. Hey hey that boy, living Rent free man. You
living Rent free man. God dang.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
So look I'm going with the Eagles too, you know
what I mean. I look at both of those teams.
I think the Eagles are a better team. And I
get and I get everybody going with Kansas City because
you know, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, you know.
And Patrick Mahomes and that Kansas City chief team has
proven to be the cream of the crop and they

(04:46):
know how to play in big moments. And then you know,
you can't never forget about the Andy Reid factor.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
You know.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
I just think that Andy Reid make all that stuff work. Man.
I think he's the key.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
But I just think, like I said, I think I
think Philly has the better overall team. I think, uh,
Sam Barkley is gonna put it, put that load.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
On his back, and I want, you know, I want.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
To caution Kansas City to UH in terms of trying
to make Hurts beat him, because I think Hurts can
do it. You know, I know a lot of people
don't have a lot of faith in him, but I
think he can do it. The last game, I think
in the NC Championship, I thought he played a flawless game.
He took care of the ball, he made big throws

(05:34):
when he needed to make it, and then he you know,
he let his workhorse do his thing. The last time
we saw UH Jalen Hursts and the Super Bowl, I
know they lost, but he had a monster game, you
know what I mean. But what he didn't have was
sa Kwan Barkley. So you asked so you add that
to the mix, you know what I mean? With with
him playing a clean football game, you know, I think

(05:57):
the Philadelphia Ugus UH will will will walk away victorious.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
The only thing they gotta worry about is the referees.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
How they can't but but but Cole, we talked about that, right,
We talked about that money, Moe.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
We can't leave it up to the referees.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
We gotta go out and physically whoop their ass, And
I'm sorry for all our listeners and viewers that don't
like cursing or whoever. But all that, we gotta go
out and as a Philadelphia Eagles we have to say
and as a group, as a team, we have to
understand that we cannot leave it in the referees' hands.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
We have to.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
Physically go out and whoop their ass. Yeah, so it
doesn't come down to the calls. And if they do
get them calls, so what you tell them? Motherfuckers? So
what you got that call? I'll be right back, say
I'll hit you in the chin this time, and you
called a flat cool, I'll be right back. I'm coming
back and I'm gonna hit you again. That is how

(06:56):
you go about beating a champion.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Period.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
It ain't no ain't ain't no in between, ain't no
whole bunch of schemes and systems.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
You got to go in there and physically walk their
ass all side of the ball. Off defense and special teams,
I think a special team's gonna.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Play might be a very big part of the game
as well.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
I think I think a special team, somebody gonna do
something on special team when.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
They come down to special teams.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
Kansas City got that block check because the Eagles kickers
something wrong with him.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Now, I ain't talking about the kicker. I'm talking about
fake punt, a block kick.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
I'm talking about a punt return, kickoff return something.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yea hey, And you feelas killed me, man, because I
remember a few weeks ago I mentioned special teams for
Notre Dame and y'all just laugh.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Y'all talk about special teams like.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
I said no, you said no the Dame, So we
didn't really care.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
No, man, Now a few weeks later, y'all talking about
special things.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
Look, it's a part of the game. It's a part
of the game.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
And what I'm saying, I'm just saying that sometimes right now.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Right, But it's a difference in you, uh, we're banking
on but this is our and.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Then to shame. Look, I definitely was banking on it.

Speaker 6 (08:30):
So that's that's a huge difference. But yeah, that's that
I think you're gonna have. They're gonna have to go
in there and they're gonna have to physically beat Kansas
City up. And it all starts with upfront. It all
starts with upfront.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Yeah, I agree, ain't more money in your opinion.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
If Kansas City wins this wins the Super Bowl, what
does that mean for Patrick Mahome in that Kansas City franchise?

Speaker 3 (08:57):
In your opinion, He's.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Still the second best quarterback of all time. He's still
the second best.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
I mean, Tom Brady has set the mark very high.
Was it seven super Bowl? Six Super Bowl victories? So
he still got a little way to go. Kansas City
is still the second best franchise in my opinion, behind
the New England Patriots. They still got a ways to go.
But they're young enough to get it done. I mean,
he's not even thirty yet, so he still got.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
But Tom Brady never never had a three peak.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
And and when you put their stats side by side
and they're winning losses, Patrick Mahomes at the same time
has the advantage over Tom Brady.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
So, I mean, so you never know.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I think it's going to I think it's going to
kind of change the mind or some folks be like,
I think Patrick Mahomes might be might be the top
dog now. But I agree with you too, he's still man.
Brady went a lot of them, bro, and he would
have been there what ten times?

Speaker 6 (10:00):
Been there a lot, yeah, and a couple of them
that he lost. It had the quarterback that he played
he played against made some remarkable throws and the and
the players made some remarkable play facts.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
So old Dog, in your opinion, if the Eagles win,
what would you think that means for Jalen Hurts and
his legacy?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Congratulations, you know you won a Super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
Yeah, I think it's awesome as a black uh African
American quarterback to win a Super Bowl. He can go
in that, you know, that category with Doug Wims and
what other black quarterbackers won the Super Bowl at my
home technical obviously Patrick Mahons, so it is Patrick Mahomes,
jail hurt whatever. So I think that would be cool.

(10:51):
But as far as his legacy goes, you know, you
gotta do a little bit more for legacy.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Right yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree with you. I
don't think it. I don't think it's gonna make that
much of an impact in terms of legacy. But what
I will say is it will give him that It
would allow him to check that box because if you
if you remember, let's say, about four seasons ago, they

(11:18):
was looking for his replacement.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
So so you.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Now you fast forward to twenty twenty five and he
holding up that lumbody. Hey, you know what I mean.
So so people that's in the same predicament that hurts
us four seasons ago. Now their team own the ship,
and GM's gonna look at those quarterbacks like, hey, hurts
did it. Hey, all we need to do is give

(11:43):
our quarterback something to work with and then they probably
can make something happen too. So I think I think
it would impact that way, not just for him, but
around the league.

Speaker 6 (11:53):
I think it will impact the running back position in
Sakwon Barkley's legacy, as he's gonna go as one of
the greatest backs of all time because he as long
as he stays somewhat healthy, he should be on a
Hall of Fame trajectory. He'll get the ten thousand yards
and the super Bowl in there what he did because
he pretty much carried the Eagles offense through stretches of

(12:14):
the season and in the playoffs. So I think I'm
looking at it from that angle, like what does it
do for Saquon Barkley and the running back position in
the NFL?

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah, you know, I think the value of the running
back is back you know, and I heard it. I
heard the stories that about ten of the top running
backs in the league got together in the off season
and kind of talked about it, like let's go out
there and ball off this season because you know, they
trying to, you know, get their value back, get their
work back, because you know, we was kind of like

(12:44):
just shoving them by the wayside. But now you know,
we got to pay attention to the running back and
we got to start paying them their work. You know,
you just mentioned sa Kwan Henry and others. You know,
they put in major work this year. So now teams
are going to start trying to fill their roster up
with with some serviceable running backs and trying to get

(13:07):
again that way. Absolutely, yeah, Hey, sticking sticking with football.
In other news, Miles Garrett, the All World defensive end
for the UH Cleveland Browns, he requested a trade. What's
what's your thoughts on that trade? What do you think
the best landing spot would be for for Miles Gart.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
My thoughts on the traders? I mean at that.

Speaker 6 (13:36):
He's been putting over with a lot of losing in Cleveland.
He's been very loyal in most seasons. They've been the
worst team in the AFC North. So I man, at
the end of the day, he got to do what's
right for him and his family at some point, you know,
winning when it does matter as far as the best
landing spot, I ain't trying to cop out, but ship,
it don't matter where he goes, you know what.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
I mean, Like he's he's just that dude. Man.

Speaker 6 (14:00):
I mean, I could name a bunch of teams they'll
never trade them to Cincinnati Bengals, But off the top
of my head, that's the one team I could think
of that could really use Miles Garrett.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
I don't think it'll ever happen. That's fictional.

Speaker 6 (14:13):
If you're talking about a realistic trade for somebody that
could use a Miles Garrett, man, I think you're probably
looking over at the Philippia Eagles, believe it or not,
if you know, that's the perfect landing spot for a
guy like Miles Garrett because they don't really have an
edge setter that's a dominant player. They have two deep
one dominant defensive tackle. So that's my opinion.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
True. What's that pool ain't nothing?

Speaker 6 (14:40):
Man?

Speaker 5 (14:41):
Yeah right, man, I'm still mourning.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Hey, we gonna We're gonna get to that. We were
gonna get to that. Oh, don't sticking on sticking on
the top of your mouths gard trade request. Dude, do
you think that he should be traded? And where you
think would be the best pat for him to go.

Speaker 6 (15:08):
I just think he's tired of losing. I think he
wants to go out and compete and play and and
have some meaningful games. As a football player or as
a professional athlete period.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Uh, you are only limited.

Speaker 6 (15:20):
To so much, uh time, and uh, he's been there,
he's been He's been through all the rebuilds and the
fix and this and that or whatever, and uh, I
just feel like I just think he wants to go
out and play some meaningful games.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
Man, get in the playoffs and you know that.

Speaker 6 (15:38):
I think he's financially set, Uh so he doesn't really
have to worry about the bag so much or getting paid.
And Uh, I think he just wants to go out
and compete. You know, That's all. That's just my that's
my thing. And I think they should trade him. He's
been loyal. I think you can get some good quality
picks and a couple of players, and Cleveland needs to
do a whole red ramp of everything they need to

(16:02):
fire to cook, the chef, security and everything else that's
in there, every any anything else at Cleveland. You know,
they need to revamp that whole organization. So I don't
think it's I don't think it's a bad request at all.
I mean, what is he twenty eight, twenty twenty seven,
twenty nine, something like that.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
So he's in his prime. So give him.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
He's been loyal, great person in the community. Let's get
some picks for him and send him on his way.
Thank you, thank you for coming out and appreciate hate you. Yeah,
let him go somewhere where he can compete, and maybe
it's somebody on the other side where he don't have
to be the you know, getting double team. I mean,

(16:45):
because think about it, he's been getting double team for
the last six seven years, six years, that's right, you know.
So you know, I think he I think he can
have some more production if he got anybody on the
other side of him. That is a quality. You know,
no disrespect to the guy is playing, obviously they're all
good guys, but but just another dominant force on the
other side. I think he'll do well.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Yeah, hey, pull what you think about Miles guard trade
requests and where would where would you like to see
him go?

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (17:14):
I mean I'm echo Wao said like at some point,
you know you want to play to win. You know,
he got all he got an asshole full of money,
so he ain't he ain't about the money no more
like what's uh, I'm gonna go play win. And so
if you look at uh, man would love to see

(17:34):
I would love to see him go up and play
with Josh Allen, you know what I'm saying, and across
from them, so uh with ed all of them guys,
I think that would that would slidify that, you know,
that defensive line. But I also think Washington would be
a good spot for him, you know, with what they have,
depending on you know what they would have to give up.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
But do they have do they have a a good
rush in on the other.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
Side played really well and she had That's right.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
I forgot Dante Folla played well, but they got a
good but they got a good D line.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Period with a pain, so yeah, it'll be good.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
They'll be good.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Yeah, yeah, And I get it, man, I agree with
all you guys. I think a trade request from from
the big fella, I think is warranted. He's been with that, uh,
that franchise for a long time. Gave it, gave, gave
them everything. It's been one of the if not the
best defensive end and all the football for for a

(18:41):
long time. He's been loyal. But you know, he's endured
so many losing seasons year after year after year. And
I know, if I was like a GM or whatever,
it'd be hard to let him go because the little
bit success that the Cleveland Browns did have was because
their defense, you know.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
What I mean. Offense, they give him nothing, but the defense.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Was able to pull out pull out a few wins
this season. But you know, just out of respect, you
know what I mean, for what he's done for for
your organization and how true he was to that organization,
you honor that trade and try to get him somewhere
where he could, uh he can compete for a Super Bowl. Selfishly,

(19:25):
I would like to see him go to the Ravens,
and I know he would want to go to the Ravens,
but that's not gonna happen. They're not going to trade
him within the division. But realistically, I agree with Pomy.
I think Washington would be the perfect spot form another team.
I think would be perfect for him if he went
to the Detroit Lions, because I know they they lost

(19:46):
their best edge Russia, and and you replace him with
somebody like Miles Garrett, you right back, you right back
to to to where you started, you know what I mean.
So I'm I'm interested to see what's going to happen
with him, man, and I wish him the best of luck,
and I hope you get into a situation where he
can be happy and get some wins.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
So yeah, sure, but poom.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
I see you got your dark glasses on you looking sad.
You know, I know you've been crying for the last
forty eight seventy two hours.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
You know I've been hearing about it.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
You know, these big NBA trades that's been going on
these last couple few days. And one of those trades's
your favorite player from your team to Dallas Mavericks, Luke
dot You. So I want to start with you. I
want to get your thoughts on the trade that went
down between the Lakers and the Mavericks to send Luca

(20:45):
Dodgy to the Lakers and Anthony Davis to the Mavericks.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
You know, Saturday night, I was talking to my brother.
Oh dog. You know, we was chopping it up on
the phone for about thirty minutes, talking about, you know,
some outstanding music to come out of DC, and my
son kept calling me. You know what I'm saying, He
just kept calling. I'm like man, you know, I'm like,
man him. When I get off the phone. Oh. And

(21:13):
then as soon as went, oh, God, off the phone,
he had called again and he was like, Dad, they
traded Luke. I was like, no, way, ain't that doesn't
need cut it out. It doesn't even make sense. Like
He's like, no, they trade them for ad I said,
cut it out, opened up ESPN. It wasn't being reported,
and then finally did. And for the life of me,

(21:36):
I can't wrap my mind around it. Like I can't.
I can't wrap my mind around it. Four days later,
Like because to me, anybody this you know this play sports.
You know if you had to test me, you know
that once they get rid of you, you know, the
narrative change is about you know who you are and

(21:57):
what you were. You know what I'm saying. So I
think what they're saying now, because listen, I'm a Luca fan.
But I'll be the first gonna tell you, No, he
don't play defense. Man Old had plenty of arguments about
him playing defense, right, But I think your notion that
you know that he's out of shape it is it
flies in the faith of what the reality is. You

(22:18):
can't tell me somebody leave the fourth quarter in scoring,
you know what I'm saying, and lead crunch time and
scoring and is out of shape. Like to me, out
of shape means when I need you, you can't Perford,
you know what I'm saying. Like if some people body
type is never gonna be you know, Jerome Bennets ain't
never gonna look like Derrick Henry, you know what I'm saying,
But nobody ever say Jerome Bennett's out of shap You

(22:40):
know what I'm saying, Beapa, Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce.
They never gonna look like Lebron James. And you know
it's just not so his body shaped different. Now he's
not in the best shape. But I think it's even
if you you say he not in shape, how do
you trade them for somebody in a sixty percent of
the games? You know what I'm saying, Like you ain't

(23:02):
you ain't trading them for somebody this day every night,
you plainly trading them for street clothes. Like it just
doesn't make sense, Like it's nothing about it that makes sense.
You know if you say, damn long term you know what?
And and I think that Anthony Davis puts us in
a great position with the lance and athleticism that we

(23:24):
have with him and Gafford. Now you be able to
put PJ. Washington back down to the three instead of
having to play the four. You know, so we got
we got better defensively. I think we're a balanced seem
I think we are dangerous, but I thought it was
dangerous with Luca, you know what I'm saying, like with
add Naji Marshall, Quinton and all the people we added.
So it don't make sense. Like I said to my

(23:49):
son on Saturday night, he must have sucked Negro Girs's wife.
And I'm staying by that, like it just don't make
sense any other way. It's nothing you to kill me
on any of the left.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
What yeah, oh dog, Well what's your feelings about the train?

Speaker 2 (24:07):
Mine's just simple, Uh.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
I feel like the Lakers, there's no braining for them.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
I mean, now you got an international superstar, world renowned.
A young man is twenty five, twenty six years old.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
Or however old he is.

Speaker 6 (24:23):
The Lakers all have has always had that big time,
big time superstar. They try to have Anthony Davis do it,
but he's some tracks and he's not gonna help y'all out.
He's gonna be the worst thing that ever happened to
the Dallas matters. He's gonna catch a couple of libs
or whatever the case may be, is gonna look good,
but then he's gonna have to go against them big boys.

(24:44):
He's gonna have to go against the Joker. He's gonna
have to go and he ain't gonna have Lebron what
you call him in his ear. You know, I'm and
you and we gonna see just what type of player
he is period, the same way we saw that other
dude for the number eight of the Baltimore Ravens in
the playoff.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
You are who we thought you are. So what I'm
saying is congratulations to the Lakers. They got there.

Speaker 6 (25:09):
They got their superstar. For the next five six years.
People gonna want to go play with him. I guarantee
you not this season, but next year he gonna have
the best year of his life because he gonna be
with Lebron. Lebron gonna force him to be a better player.
And if he's the type of young man that I
think he is, he's gonna want to get better. He's
gonna want to go work out with him, he's gonna
want to go train, he's.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Gonna want to prove all the doubtars wrong.

Speaker 6 (25:33):
It's no more if a bag is one thing, but
if you are a true competitor in anything that you do,
you want to go out and prove the compeople wrong.

Speaker 5 (25:41):
Right.

Speaker 6 (25:42):
So I think that's what's gonna happen. As far as
the Dallas Mavericks and getting a glass man. Man, y'all
got glass man. I don't care what Kyrie or anybody said, like, no, no, no, no,
I'm not talking about I'm not talking about you. I'm
not talking about to all our viewers and listeners and
people talking about yeah eighty and what like you said,

(26:06):
he's self checked. While we gotta look if we're playing
against him, were out all night in Dallas because he
probably ain't playing anyway money moe.

Speaker 5 (26:15):
Hey, Look, I think the most telling thing about this trade,
which is I really don't like conspiracy theories, but old
I believe that the NBA had something to do with it,
because it doesn't make sense. Like at some point something
has to make sense. I've always said, yeah, that the
NBA needs a superstar in LA because they don't have

(26:37):
one in New York. They don't really have us.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
Yeah, but you could get bet you they could have
got anybody.

Speaker 6 (26:42):
Though they got Luca because they was Matt But but
what Dallas was upset with Luca for not playing defense,
for not but he's not fitting the mold that Jason
Kidd wants.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
So I get that kid though it was has it was.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
But who is Jason Kids boss?

Speaker 5 (27:06):
Right? His boss didn't But.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
You didn't even know about the trade.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
You didn't even know about it. I got.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
I got.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
I just it flies in the face of Rob Polinker
got in the press conference and said it's like a gift.

Speaker 7 (27:25):
He caught you the gift.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
It was like, it don't even make it. So oh,
I went to and people be like, oh man, we
every you got every Davis, what every Davis like?

Speaker 3 (27:39):
I had to get.

Speaker 6 (27:40):
I rady get two people, two players that you know
that that you can count on the play trying to
get it.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
You coulda gave me hot you more, and the two
white boys and two picks, and I've been better off.
You know what I'm saying, Give me hot, you more
loss and reason to connect, and two pick raper Davis.
You know what I'm saying, give us some crazy depth.

Speaker 8 (28:04):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (28:05):
I don't see why my cousin Kobe, who's a big
time basketball player, I don't understand. What is it about
Anthony Davis that you like over the last four years?
The man had two points in your an NBA A
playoff and he supposed.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
To be considered the top five, top two.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
It's no way possible you played in the game and
you only had two points.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Hey, hey, hey, bro, when hey, when you bang it
with jokes for three quarters going into the fourth quarter,
it takes a toll on your body.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
You have to if you until you have to bumble
against seven feet three hundred and something pounds for an
entire NBA game, then you can.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Tell me about why he can't.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Hold on pooh old hole, I'm sorry, hold on hoo?
How tall? Hey, moneymore? How tall is Anthony Davis?

Speaker 6 (29:09):
So I'm a six foot nigga going against the second
five to eleven guy or I'm a six foot dude
going against the six point guy, so I got a
bank with him.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
All.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Come on, man, Like he's giving up seventy five pounds,
So what you mean someone.

Speaker 6 (29:23):
You what I'm saying is go to your strength. If
he's seventy five pounds heavier than you, you still gotta
play defense. You still gotta play defense against him.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Listen.

Speaker 6 (29:32):
I know that's your guy, man, I know you're a
Laker fan. So, like I said, I'm gonna let you
have a d nothing my guy.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
By the way of Lebron. Yeah, like it is.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
I got no money.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Make sense of this trade, please.

Speaker 6 (29:47):
So first of all, before I get into that one,
I want to break some news real quick from Sham's
Jimmy Butler just got traded to the Golden State Warriors
for Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Shrewder, Kyle Anderson, and the protective
first round pick.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (30:00):
Yes it so as far as this trade, man, I'm
gonna keep it one hundred with y'all. I'm glad you
got him pull me because I'm tired of defending that
glass man.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
I had to keep defending him. He was on my squad.

Speaker 6 (30:16):
You know, Hey, I'm talking about look, check this out.
The show started in twenty twenty one. Guess what happened
that same year that Joker disappeared against the Phoenix Suns.
I'm just gonna keep it real, and in every playoff
series we had after the Bubble, he somehow either got
injured or he just didn't play up to the level
that he should have.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
We needed him to provide more points, and he just didn't.

Speaker 6 (30:40):
You know, he's a great number two player, but he's
not box office, he's not a franchise player.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
He's a number two superstar.

Speaker 6 (30:48):
And now he's teamed up with another guy who's the
second option in my opinion, first option talent, second option mentality. Now,
as far as the backstory on the Luca Donci's trade,
it seems to me two things happened. One, the New
Maths ownership is cheap as hell, because they started making
excuses about playing this player because they just bought that

(31:09):
new facility for six hundred million dollars out there in Dallas.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Y'all got a new boa, y'all got a new basketball rental.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
They got one of the players. Right. But and so
this is the other part what they're saying, because they're
trying to make it a casino, but Texas ain't fucking
with casinos. So they're like, all right, yeah, well we're
gonna fucking make Dalla so fucking side so we can
move these motherfuckers to Vegas. You know what I'm saying,
because you know that she owes, she owes the sands

(31:37):
casinoo like eight casinos in Vegas. You know what I'm saying.
So I mean it don't make sense.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Go ahead. Here's the second thing about it.

Speaker 6 (31:49):
We all got we all had things like this with
our brothers, with our friends. Well we might you might
finesse them in a friendly way because Nick, you know,
Nico and dog On Rob they homeboys, and sometimes you
might get up, hey man, let me get that watch
right there? All right, cool man, let me get your watch.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
All right. Well that's what happened. It was a friendly finesse.
He finessed him.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
Man, oh man, you say he hurt. I can't give
you all that.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
You say he got his work ethic bad. I would
give you ad.

Speaker 6 (32:18):
It's like talent Rob, no good, damn well, ad be
in the damn training room wa than he'd be on
the practice court. He know that he just finessed him.
That's that's the bottom line. It was a friendly finesse.
That's my thoughts on the coach.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
My thought says, I was surprised, just like everybody else
with the trade. You know, you got a twenty five
year old international superstar that just took your team to
the NBA finals, out of shape whatever you want to call.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
Him, who took the team. Oh you mean, okay, my
bad apodas. Are you talking about Luca right now?

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Yeah? All that out of shape, whatever you want to
call him. He put that team on his back, even
when Kyrie wasn't playing well, not.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
At all about Kyrie was stinging it up and.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Took them boys to the NBA finals and was doing
this thing in.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
The NBA finals.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
So that would make me believe that coming back to
a new year, we got a chance to run it back.
Because you get Luca into a playoff situation, being who
he is, where he's shown us since he's been in
the league, career average twenty eight points, not rebounds, nine assists,

(33:41):
you know he's gonna give you your best chance of
getting back to where you need to go. Now, the
reason why I think they traded him, I don't think
none of us know. I think there's something that they're
being tight lipped about. It's something that happened behind the
scenes that they're not saying because being out of shape

(34:02):
is it is not an excuse for just all the
reasons I just stated. Not paying him three hundred and
forty five million in the off season for the Supermax
is not an excuse because that's what he earned and
that's the going rate now, so it was something else.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
However, if you're gonna trade.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Him and you're gonna get something back from him, I
think Anthony Davis was a good trade.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
No way, no way.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
Let me cook for a second.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Way about you talk about somebody who's six ten, six eleven,
who's considered the best defensive big in the game and
has a career averager twenty six points a game, twelve rebounds,
three and a half assists for his career, and I

(35:01):
get it, y'all call him glass Man and all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
It's easy to make puke fun of him.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
But there's been far more other players that we won't
talk about that miss more games than him, Kawhi Leonard
being one, and we don't talk nothing about him, but
they got he ain't been.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
A topic on the show. Now he ain't been no
topic on the show.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
The man played seventy six games last year and he's
on pace to play seventy plus this year.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
He hasn't missed a.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Lot of time in the last two seasons, and this
year he's been playing some of the best ball in
the entire league.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Period. So you add him to that Mavericks team.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
With that who already has pieces in place, they got two.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Young athetic sinners.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
You can move Athony Davis back to the bull fourth position,
which he's been asking for for the longest. You put
him back there, he don't have to bump with Luca
in the playoffs because you got two centers.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
That's gonna do that.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
You're gonna You're gonna reserve his energy on an offensive end.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
You get it to the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
You're not gonna sky anymore two point games in the
fourth quarter. You're gonna get the best version of Averony Davis.
And then you got Kyrie Irvin playing the two man
game with him. Now, Kyrie Irvin, he gets the room around,
he's not sharing the ball with Luca. You get this,
You're gonna get to see the full effect of Kyrie
this year, and then this is gonna open up a

(36:38):
lot of wide open shots for Clayon for Klay Thompson,
which we know he can knock him down if you
leave him open.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Period. So I think for the short term.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
I mean, yeah, for the short term, Dallas Mavericks, they
came out on top because I think the trade, but
still all the way at the top on the West
Western Western Conference.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Better than okay, see now for the Lenkers.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Yeah, yeah, you put Afew Davids on that team.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
That changes. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
I don't know about.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Quick second thirty. You're not really losing nothing in points,
but you.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Just got one point. I just got one quick question
for Kobe, real quick.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
Hey Kobe, Hey Cole he you you played against Big
Dank right, yeah, Big Dank.

Speaker 4 (37:33):
Way he got about twenty five thirty pounds on you.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
Damn he said about one hundred pounds on you.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Right.

Speaker 6 (37:39):
So, so so when you played against Big Dan and
you had and you and you came on the show
and you were talking about how you was checking them
all four quarters and stuff like that, did you have
two points in the fourth quarter?

Speaker 4 (37:49):
Did you know? I'm asking you?

Speaker 6 (37:52):
Did you score more than two points? Playing against a
gentleman that weighs more than twenty to thirty pounds.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
I may, I may not. I was just going out.
I wasn't the scorer then. I was just learning how
to play.

Speaker 6 (38:04):
I got you, I got wad way to clean that
joint uphead por I'm done.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
I'm done with this ship man hit man bye, man,
y'all hit me later, man by man. Man removed me.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
Man time out, man time out. Put him in time
out for a minute. Yeah, no, no, y'all, y'all, y'all
not damn.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
Kobe. Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. The reality is is
where we were, the way our team was constructed, what
we added in all season pieces, we were gonna be
straight regardless, like we're gonna be straight. So every Davis
coming into that, you know we're not gonna fall off
the cliff because I'm not saying every day it is terrible. Yes,

(38:59):
he's a good player, yes, and some things in some
aspects of the game. Excuse me, we are going to
be better than when Luca was there. Defensively, we became
a much longer, you know what I'm saying, more athletic
team defensively, right, But the end of the game, end
of the end of the day. We're not better off

(39:22):
like Luca with our mob. Everybody's expecting us to go
back to work in conference finals like that. That's you
look at you said when we're healthy, because before we
just went this little tip, we was around four five
in the in the West, before everybody got hurt, before
we lost PJ. Well, we were playing in the middle
of the pack without Luca. And what I'm saying is.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
Everybody in the West that's not saying a.

Speaker 5 (39:46):
Lot, It is saying a lot with we're playing in
the middle of the pack without they guy who's playing
the pack without their number one guy.

Speaker 3 (39:55):
No, y'all at the bottom of the pack now.

Speaker 5 (39:58):
Because because we just lost four other people. That's what
I'm saying. For most of the season, we've been in
the middle of the pack because Luca been hurt is
what I'm saying. He's missed twenty four out of forty
six games. He's missed more than half our games. But
without him, we still work in the middle of the pack.

(40:18):
We just took a drop last about seventeen games, and
we are better off. You better off every day with Luca,
you bet, because you know what I know for certain,
I know for certain in the playoffs, there's only one
person who consistently put up more buckets in the playoffs
than Luca Dnci, and that's Michael Jeffrey Jordan, the only

(40:41):
person in the history of the NBA, the only person
the NBA has been around for what seventy five eighty years? Moneybow,
It's been about what ten thousand people come through the NBA.
I've did two thousands, three people, three people with all
NBA first team in your first five times, in your

(41:02):
first six years, three people lame bag, Kim DK and Luca.
Come on, man, ain't no, ain't no.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
Nobody discredited who Luca is as a player.

Speaker 5 (41:22):
My point is you trying to like we're in a
better spot. We are not in a better spot. We're
not in a better spot. We lost, We don't everything.
We don't huh.

Speaker 3 (41:35):
I think you guys got better by subtraction.

Speaker 5 (41:38):
We didn't better about subtraction. So you said, that's like.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Saying Michel Jeffrey Jordans going on on points. You know
what else Michael Jeffrey Jordan did. He played defense.

Speaker 5 (41:51):
Okay, that's that's like saying if if Baltimore, tay Lamar Jackson,
Matt Stafford, they get better.

Speaker 7 (41:59):
Ain't ain't the same thing, Josh Allen.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
Then yeah, that that's that's fair trade. Ain't no robbery.

Speaker 5 (42:17):
Yo, soy lamarva for John Dowllon's fair trade? Yeah right,
the same age they came in the same trade years older.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
Man, about this me is success.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
You're trying to tell me Anthony Davis, don't don't give
them a chance to get to the finals.

Speaker 5 (42:38):
They Okay, we just went to the finals.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
They go.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
With Anthony Davis. You don't think they're going back to
the finals or at least have a chance.

Speaker 5 (42:49):
Okay, I think we were going to the finals with
Luca where where we added?

Speaker 3 (42:54):
He's not there. Do you think they have a chance
to go to the finals?

Speaker 5 (42:59):
I think that it's my mom, So I'm always gonna
stand behind my mom, David.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
But realistically, are they going back to the finals? Realistically?

Speaker 5 (43:12):
So I'm gonna I'm gonna be honest with you. This
is my honest opinion. I don't think we got a guy.
I don't think we got a guy. Everybody talks about
Kyrie talented of the motherfucker. Tyrie is not a guy.
Kyrie is the guy next to the guy, and he
das the guy next to the guy. We ain't got
a guy. When Kyrie was at his best, he was

(43:36):
next to fucking Lebron when he had his old team.
When Kyrie had his own team, there was some ship.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
No, that's that's the funt, but that No, we don't.

Speaker 5 (43:55):
Have a guy. So yeah, I like Dallas. That's my mom.
I'm always gonna say we're gonna go to I hope
we go to the finals. But who's the guy. We
ain't got a guy. We got two one ps or
two a's, whatever you want to say. We ain't got
a storecoach guy. We ain't got a guy. We ain't
got SG eight, we ain't got a Edwards. We ain't

(44:16):
got it yards them guys. We got the guy.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
Every team over the history of the NBA who won
the championship didn't necessarily have a guy.

Speaker 5 (44:27):
Who teller who won? Tell me who won it? Didn't
have a guy.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
The Detroit Pistons with Chauncey Billets.

Speaker 7 (44:35):
And Pistons, that's true, but that the the last, the.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
Last championship that the Spurs one. They didn't have a guy.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
K Mayor everge eighteen points a game, seventeen points a
game when they win that championship. He wasn't even that
leads scored. He was the fourth least going to team
boom guy huh kwhile Leonard was not the guy.

Speaker 5 (45:06):
They had Tim Dunckets and Kawhi Leonard who are both
got Tim the guy, say Kobe, Kobe, the person.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Hasn't had a safety in the in the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (45:21):
You thinking to Kobe, Kobe, they might not have been
that they prob they still won eight guys. They still
won eight guys Tim Duggan's and one a guy.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
They won that championship back committee.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
But it was a lot of them, Kobe know it's
about four of them now Tony Parker Man.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
But what I'm saying, none of them, none of them
scored twenty plus points per game in that in in
that finals, and.

Speaker 5 (45:55):
That this in the fourth quarter. We can beat the bucket,
even the old Tim dunk a bucket. You're not you
don't feel comfortable knowing I get his Tim don I'm
gonna get me a fucking bucket.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
But there wasn't going to Tim Dunkey.

Speaker 5 (46:08):
Then they will go to Kawaii because you know, ka
gonna get a bucket. Ain't no just going.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
They was telling they was going by my chokill.

Speaker 5 (46:18):
Kobe, you're picking the normally. You said it happened a normally.
That's two teams. That's two teams out of the last
twenty five years.

Speaker 3 (46:33):
Okay, well tell me. I'll tell you this.

Speaker 1 (46:35):
If the Donas Mavericks win the championship, I don't want
to hear ship.

Speaker 3 (46:38):
I don't want to hear you celebrating. I don't want
I don't want.

Speaker 5 (46:41):
To that's my rob But I don't think we got
a guy.

Speaker 3 (46:46):
No say nothing.

Speaker 7 (46:48):
Don't say nothing.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
If the Donas Mavers win the championship.

Speaker 7 (46:52):
Just don't say I.

Speaker 5 (46:55):
Don't want to hear the one team I don't want
to see in the playoffs getting the lost this Lakers.
If we see the Lakers in the playoffs, look a
gonna go for fifty and thirty.

Speaker 1 (47:08):
Expand on that pull me with So get away from
the Mavers for a second. Let's talk about the Lakers.
So what does this trade mean for the Lakers in
your opinion?

Speaker 5 (47:18):
I think I think the Lakers are solid for the
next ten years. I mean with this season, like the
Lakers in the fourth. They in fourth place right now.
If you can looking back at the next week, I
don't he played and Lebron are smart enough basketball players

(47:40):
to learn how to play with each other.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
So they don't play together well on the offensive end
for sure, too high IQ players.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
But you want Saturday.

Speaker 1 (47:52):
He practiced with him today and he's geting enough to
play on Saturday. So I'm looking forward to it. I'm
excited just to see those two on the court together,
just to see.

Speaker 3 (48:02):
What it looks like.

Speaker 5 (48:04):
Hey man, I'm on Lebron fans, so I'm alright, I'm
I mean, it ain't what I want, but I know
one thing. I would like to see them play Dallas
so he can go for fifty every night or play
top retirement.

Speaker 3 (48:23):
I guess, Oh dog, what what did this trade mean
for the Lakers?

Speaker 4 (48:27):
I don't want to talk about I'm not talking about
that ship no more.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
Man, I ain't bye man time out man ship.

Speaker 5 (48:43):
The NBA need the Lakers to be good, man. The
NBA need the Lakers to be good, and they need
them to have a pull star period. Today they said
over the last sixty five years, every year but seven years,
the Lakers have had a top ten player in the NBA.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
That's a fact.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
Yeah, yeah, I mean yeah, that's the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (49:03):
Man, right, So the NBA needed that that they've been
going through. Who's gonna be the face of the league
once carry Lebron and k d Lee. Now, I don't
think it's a question. It's Luca hands down, because he's
in La. Luca in La becomes the face of the NBA.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
Okay, Okay, So you know I'm gonna ask this the
moto MO do you think I want I want to
two opinions from you. Do you think this trade made
the Lakers better short term? And what do you see
the Lakers being long term?

Speaker 6 (49:41):
And in the short term, that's tough because I haven't
seen the secondary move. So without getting another defensive presence,
I'm gonna say they took a slight step back because
they were already pretty bad defensively, and you took a
great defensive player away. We can't we can't take that
away from Anthony. As soft as he is, he is

(50:02):
a great defender. So in the short term, unless they
plugged that hole in the middle, they took a slight
step back. But we're talking maybe from fourth to sixth seed.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
In the long term poom.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
He already said it.

Speaker 6 (50:14):
Luca Doncis with the backdrop of Los Angeles with the Lakers,
you know, monogram across your chest. Any star players gonna
want to play with him because of his style of play.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
You know, the dog. You know, he's a facilitator and
you don't have to worry about him.

Speaker 6 (50:30):
I've never heard Luca Dncis throw one teammate under the
under the bus. That's not that's not a something that
he has on his jacket. So I believe many players
that want to take pay cuts to play with him.
If you're a star player, you're gonna want to get
paid to play beside him. And Lebron come off the
book in two years, So I think long term is
a no braind and Slam and his La Bright, Jax

(50:54):
Hide and the Mug got to get that fire insurance.
But other than that, it's a great place to be.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
So so Mo, we were just chatting about it before
the show started. You know, the Lakers have been playing
good ball. They won nine out there layers eleven games,
and one thing that we both notice is the effort
in which they're playing in and the defensive effort in
which they're playing the like defense they've been playing. I mean,

(51:22):
they've been crazy with it. They've been flying all over
the court. And I think Vanderbilt, like I told you earlier,
is a big key to that. I think you brought
that defensive energy. Now you add Luca into the mix
on Saturday, do they keep that momentum going or they
going to go back a little bit?

Speaker 6 (51:41):
I think they definitely keep it, keep it going. And
they ain't playing no scrubs either. So shout out to
the Lakers. They beat the hell out the Knicks, and
they beat the hell out the Clippers, and that that
wasn't no Fluke wins and you know you can see it,
but that's Kobe. You played the game for a long time.
They gonna take a slight step back because they got
to figure it out. It's in the short term. I'm

(52:01):
not saying that it's because of Luca, but anytime you
add a player that needs the ball in his hand,
this ain't adding a role player like Dorian Phinney Smith.
They gotta they gotta figure out what sets work with
Lebron and Luca. Who who is gonna, you know, fall
back because Austin Reed's gotta figure out his role now
is he gonna come off the bench like, Okay, now

(52:21):
I might have to turn into a spot up shooter
from auster Reeves because I'll be damn from to take
the ball out Luca hand. So, in my opinion, I
think they may take a small step back just to
figure out the roles on the on the team.

Speaker 5 (52:34):
In my opinion, money to that, I say, I think
they're gonna figure it out because they players a lot faster.
I think what's gonna take more time is other teams
figuring out how to play against Lebron and Luca.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
That's not.

Speaker 6 (52:52):
Who's That's a tough one pull when you're right, that's
a tough one.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
Who's gonna have the ball? Fourth quarter?

Speaker 5 (53:00):
I think so as being a dollar fan, you know
what I'm saying, one of the things that I did
not like when Kyrie first came was that Luca was
trying to be so inviting to him that he was like,
all right, I'm gonna show difference to you go. You
know what I'm saying, And then it kind of morphed

(53:23):
into a all right, this fourth quarter, we're gonna figure
it out. I go, you go, I go, you go. Hey,
if you got it, I'm gonna give it to you
and you just go. If I got it, you give
it to me and I'm gonna go. And I think
that's more where him and Lebron gonna go. They they're
gonna say, you know what, Hey Bron, you gotta go
on today, baby this you you know what I'm saying,

(53:45):
Or where hey, Luca, you turn that my fuck up? Baby?
You keep it going, you know what I'm saying, Because
I don't think either one of them are caught up
on on that part of the ego. I gotta be
the one in the last three minutes, you know what
I'm saying, Like, I think both of them want to win,
Like it's important for Lebron's legacy to win, and it's

(54:05):
really important for Luca's legacy to win, because regardless of
how the teams are constructed, now that Lebron had the
top three player in his prime, that's gonna go against
his legacy, you know what I'm saying. Like people will say, well,
he played like, oh he had Luca Dante, Like that's
gonna be that's gonna be an argument against Lebron. Like,
so it's gonna be for them to figure it out,

(54:28):
So I don't I don't think either one of them
are gonna be caught up on the ego of who
takes this, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (54:34):
Yeah, yeah, I agree, We're gonna agree to disagree with
the whole Athy D. Davis piece. You know, I just
just just I'm gonna just throw it out there for
the viewers and the listeners. Anthony Davis last five games
beat prior to the injury and the trade, twenty nine
point sixteen rebounds, four blocks, twenty five points, ten rebounds,

(54:57):
three blocks, thirty seven points, thirty rebounds, two blocks, forty
two points, twenty three rebounds, five blocks. So that's the
type of player that that that matter.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
Listen.

Speaker 5 (55:10):
Every Davis at his best is a is A is
a hell of a ball player. The problem is, when
the money's on the line, you're not catching Anthony Davis
at his best. Yeah, everything good, Like it's listen, you

(55:31):
play when you come up with Lively at the five,
Every Dames at the four. So that's seventy one, six
to eleven, PJ. Washington six nine, Klay Thompson six to seven,
Kyrie the only little guy we got, You know what
I'm saying, defense. So we're coming out with four tough defenders,

(55:53):
you know what I'm saying, and two shooters out there.
So it's like, okay, you know what, he still gives
us a chance. And I'm not saying I don't think
we have a chance, But I don't think we're better off.
I don't think any I don't think on any level.
And you're trying to say, oh, y'all better No, we're
not fucking better off. Like he gives us a chance

(56:16):
because we had a good team anyway, you know what
I'm saying, And when you add an all star to
a good team, that that team should tend team to row. So, yes,
we got a chance, but we're not better off.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
Okay. That that that that's a fair point.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
And the last and the last little piece of this
this whole saga, and a lot of people have their
theories about this. Do you think lebron knew about this
trade beforehand? Or was he surprised just like everybody else,
like he like he said he was.

Speaker 5 (56:52):
I don't think he knew. Like why would you tell
lebron if you don't tell, you know what I'm saying.
If the coach is being held out of it, you
know what I'm saying. Yeah, And then because you know,
Lebron gonna talk to Rich Paul, you know, Rich Paul
gonna do investigated. Rich Paul would have probably called uh

(57:14):
lucas agent, be like yo, you know they trying to
do this, you know, and and throwing all types of
ship in it because he didn't want him to leave.
He didn't want eighty to leave the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (57:25):
Mm hmmm, I agree with me. I agree.

Speaker 7 (57:28):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
I don't think Lebron knew.

Speaker 3 (57:31):
Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (57:32):
I also think it's a power play by the Lakers.

Speaker 7 (57:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (57:35):
Yeah, And I for guess it. I think that I
think this this is their opportunity to say, you know what,
we appreciate you, Lebron, but we're moving off of you
having absolute control over the Lakers. Yeah, I'm saying, we
appreciate you, you know, we we still gonna let you know,
but this ain't yours ship no more. Yeah, it.

Speaker 2 (57:59):
Of it.

Speaker 3 (58:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:01):
And a reporter asked Lebron about that today and he said,
why would I be concerned about that?

Speaker 6 (58:07):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (58:08):
He like, if I was tripping off that, I would
have you know, then my no trade, cause got rid
of that and asked him get me out of here.
So he did he understand he forty he's he know
any day now he out of that.

Speaker 6 (58:26):
Hey, hey, money more. I saw in Coleby and Pool.
I heard y'all say, great, great defensive player is Dennis Rodman?
Was he a great defensive player?

Speaker 3 (58:37):
Yes? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (58:38):
Was Tony Allen a great defensive player?

Speaker 3 (58:41):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (58:41):
Absolutely? Okay, I just was making sure checking my out.
I'm just trying to check, you know. Like some people say,
Ohio state wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is a generational talent, right,
they say he's a generational talent.

Speaker 4 (58:57):
I say, I've seen this sixteen times before.

Speaker 6 (59:02):
Very easy. It's a guy that's a guy that played
in the Houston sections that looked just like they do
the same exact thing he do. They played for a
long time, just got a yellow jack. All he is
is Andre Johnson, redcardinatet what what what what? And Andre
Johnson ran better route? My My my thing is we
gotta be careful when we say great. I I don't

(59:23):
consider great when you do ship in the regular season.
I consider great when you do ship when the money
is on the line. That's just my opinion. That's just
my opinion on how great people. So I guess we'll see.

Speaker 3 (59:35):
Uh And that's a fair point.

Speaker 1 (59:37):
Oh but but just to you know, just to be clear,
when the Lakers won their championship a few years.

Speaker 4 (59:43):
Back, you're talking about what the world was shut down?

Speaker 3 (59:46):
He played, he played, moved me man.

Speaker 4 (59:49):
Bibe man, move me man, great man, bi Man, get
me out of here.

Speaker 5 (59:54):
Man. I think that your production like that was makes
a great player, you know what I'm saying. I think
saying that somebody's a great defender is just is just
one attribute, you know what I'm saying. I don't think
that every Dames is a great I don't think I

(01:00:16):
think it's crazy that that he made the top seventy
five over Dwight Howard, like, you know, like honestly, I
think Dwight Howard was a more top seventy five than
Antony Davis. But I still think every Davis is a
great defender. I don't think he's a great player, but
I think he's a great defender. And I and I
and I think ball when the money's on the line, Yes,

(01:00:40):
you have to do all those things, you know what
I'm saying, But I think you still have some great attributes.
Should still be a great shooter, a great defender, a
great rebounder without being a great player.

Speaker 2 (01:00:50):
And I think that's when people confused with a d.

Speaker 6 (01:00:52):
They wanted him to be a generational player, and he's
just not. He is a generational defense and he does
he checks a lot of blocks, But they wanted him
to be that guy that was gonna, you know, be
the face of the league carry teams.

Speaker 4 (01:01:09):
That's just not him.

Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
It might not be it might not be him, But
I mean, it's hard for me to agree with that
when I'm I'm looking at these numbers in my face
where his career average is twenty five and twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
What my thing is with that average?

Speaker 4 (01:01:31):
There's been a lot of that's his entire career generational.

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
We say generational.

Speaker 6 (01:01:36):
Now we're talking about guys that typically take their teams
far into the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
He has a ring, he has a ring on the string.

Speaker 6 (01:01:44):
He didn't take them far in the playoffs. He was
on with another generational player that got them to that point.

Speaker 4 (01:01:53):
When he had his own team. No no, no, no,
he had his own team.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
They couldn't get out the first round of the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (01:02:00):
They couldn't get to the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (01:02:03):
Well, Lebron, Lebron was a generational player. We agree with that,
right when he had his team before he went.

Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
To Miami, he went to the finals.

Speaker 6 (01:02:11):
Michael Jordan's, Kobe Bryant, other generation generational that ovally get
this team to the finals.

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
But but but let's start right there, because you you're
talking about Michael Jordans, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, all those guys.
Those guys got the ball in their hand. Andy Davis
is a big man. That is a little different. It's
a little different in the way he he can't make it.

(01:02:40):
He has to rely on them to feed them giving
him the ball and so he can do his work.

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
He ball up.

Speaker 3 (01:02:49):
That stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:02:50):
He's a generational talent, but he's not a generational player.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Generational talent, but not a generational great or a generational superstar.

Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
Hey, I'll go with that. He's not he's not a
he's not a he's not the A one. He's not
what you call an alpha. He's not the alpha.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
It's mentality. It's all that's all of it. It's just mentality.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
Yeah, he's kind of like Paul George. I think he
has one of the best games I've seen. But he
just don't He just don't have that that alpha mentality.

Speaker 5 (01:03:27):
You know who you know who reminds me, But he
didn't used to. He used to balk all the time
like it like it was something different. But who was
never uh one a guy. He needed somebody that KG
wasn't the one they got. He needed somebody and all
he do all that barking and ship and people thought

(01:03:47):
he was a dog. But KG to get his ass
honey take by turkyim Duncan.

Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
But guess.

Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
I never heard that one person saying that one bad
or negative about kgat No, No, listen, he.

Speaker 5 (01:04:04):
Played hard, he do all it. The difference is if
every Davis didn't miss Tim, if he didn't play every
you know, every third game, people have a totally different
narrative about him. You know what I'm saying, Like the
narrative from KT is because he was always dead. You
know what I'm saying, Like people trying to say, oh, well,
here has k They had some loaded mobs in Minnesota.

(01:04:28):
He just couldn't get the shit done, you know what
I'm saying. He had to go with Paul Peers and said,
you know what, Paul Pierce, you be the guy. I'm
gonna do everything else. You know what I'm saying. I'm
gonna defend. I'm a rebound and I'm and that's what
I think. That's a d ad needs somebody to be
the guy. I can do everything else.

Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
So so are you saying Kyrie can't be the guy
because cuz I think he can in terms of offensively.

Speaker 5 (01:04:56):
Yeah, I'm saying that Kyrie had a chance at being
the guy. Didn't go well in.

Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Clean Earl was earlier in his career.

Speaker 5 (01:05:03):
Now he's he's okay. It didn't go well in Boston.

Speaker 6 (01:05:11):
In Dallas, if you did, he disappeared in Dallas. It's
the same problem a d had mentally, they out bro.
If you know what you've seen a d bro, you've
seen it in his eyes.

Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
He ain't want the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
He go in the corner, he's just standing there.

Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
He like what A doing?

Speaker 5 (01:05:28):
And that was crazy that last year in the front,
Like it was kind of like Luca was almost looking
at him like, man, if you just come with me,
maybe somebody else will too. You know what I'm saying,
Like I just need you, Kyrie, and he got you
lohing bout it. But I just I think that, you know,
I don't. I don't. I think Kyrie can have some
great games, you know what I'm saying, but consistently being

(01:05:49):
that guy like I said, all right, I'll give you Cleveland.
It was early in his career, but he had a
chance to mature learn under Lebron with the Celtics with
two young studs and couldn't get it done. Like like,
Kyrie should have been an upgrade over Isaiah Thomas. He
should have been an upgrade over Isaiah Thomas. And that

(01:06:10):
team with Isaiah Thomas that went to the Eastern Conmence
Finals got booted, and I think the first or second
round with Kyrie. You know what I'm saying, Like it
is what it is this point. And I like Kyrie.
I like him as a player, I like him as
a person, you know what I'm saying. He seems to
like have have reached a zendpoint in his life where

(01:06:31):
you know, he's much more just calm, but and he
doesn't let the thing the outside affects him as much anymore.
So I mean, I love that for him, But yeah,
I don't. I wouldn't say that. I think Kyrie is
a generational talent as well. I don't think he's a
generational player, right.

Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
Right, all right?

Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
So so moving along, Dad, there was some other trades
made in the NBA. You know, I want to know
from you guys with tree that you like and what
other trades what you like to see before the dadline
tomorrow tomorrow evening.

Speaker 4 (01:07:06):
Mm hmm, oh god, damn, I a don't know he
was having an Anthony David show ship.

Speaker 6 (01:07:20):
Fuck, we gotta we gotta have a goddamn Anthony David
show because that's your favorite player.

Speaker 4 (01:07:25):
Now.

Speaker 5 (01:07:26):
Damn.

Speaker 4 (01:07:27):
If he ain't ain't like your football favorite player, then
we know it ain't. He ain't gonna do well.

Speaker 3 (01:07:32):
If the Davids already got a ring though, Yeah, well.

Speaker 6 (01:07:35):
Maybe he should go talk to what you call Maybe
Lemar need to leave it go like Poom said, maybe
Lemar need to leave him come on over to Cincinnati
so you can throw that ball to Chase.

Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
Yeah, because Baryl sure don't got a Super Bowl, right,
We've been there, been there, don't count you, right, all right?
So so back Poom, talk to me trades you would
like to see before the ain't there learning them out?
And what trade did you like already that took place
within the last twenty four forty eight hours.

Speaker 5 (01:08:07):
I would like for David Stern to resurrect from the dead,
come back and he told this trade. That's the only
thing I care about. If we can't get David Stern
to show up at the NBA alls and say we
acted this ship like Chris Paul the rest of that ship.

(01:08:28):
I don't even know about money Moore saying it was
another breaking news. You know what I said, Bob Humble,
I ain't heit none of that shit. Jimmy Butler was
something with a none of that ship. I don't care, like.

Speaker 1 (01:08:42):
What about what you think about that Jimmy Butler trade though,
because it was it was a big feu between him
and the Miami Heat, and we didn't know if he
was gonna stay if he was.

Speaker 6 (01:08:52):
I'm happy Jimmy Butler got out, but that ain't gonna
help That ain't gonna help Gold stay.

Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
Yeah, I'm happy got out. But without saying is Jimmy
been around way too long? You could still be getting
a pitching contest with somebody like fucker pat Rolly because
you can't win, you know what I'm saying. So yeah,
but it is what it is. I don't think that
shit moved a needle go to state.

Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
Yeah yeah, I heard.

Speaker 1 (01:09:20):
I heard a report that a lot of people think
pat Riley and the and the front office in Miami,
they they created that monster because they allowed Jimmy Butler
to pretty much maneuver how he wanted to within that organization.
He was taking private jets by himself and meeting the
team and destinations and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
So he got kind of spoiled, and you know, he
that was just his mindset.

Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
So when you try to change or try to stop
what he's been used to doing since he been in Miami,
then you know, I think some friction is going is
going to transpire.

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
I can agree with that. I can agree with that
as far as trades that I like you.

Speaker 6 (01:10:02):
I mean, when I was where I was at when
that Chris Paul trade got be told and I was
just getting off of bird coming back from my rack, I.

Speaker 3 (01:10:09):
Was pissed as hell.

Speaker 6 (01:10:10):
So this, you know, this is my get back. I'm
I'm loving this trade right here. I don't even really
care about the rest of them. I got Lucer Baby,
we hit the Baby Lucer magic. I know you happy
you got rid of that great defensive player.

Speaker 1 (01:10:32):
I make basket. I't make basket. That's that's it. That's
that's what we got. Now I make basket.

Speaker 5 (01:10:42):
It's crazy though, when you watching ship, you see like
last year doing the playoffs, keep shot Johnson couldn't stop
hating on Lucer, like every time they keep our jobs.
Get on a talking ship about Lucer. Now Luca Lake
like they got god damn wrapped his side like, oh
we got it. I was like, man, you some ship

(01:11:02):
like Lakers. See why everybody hate the Lakers? Though? I
can see why? Like why why the Lakers?

Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
Though?

Speaker 5 (01:11:14):
You know what I'm saying, Like why the Lakers?

Speaker 3 (01:11:16):
Man?

Speaker 8 (01:11:16):
You said you gave him.

Speaker 1 (01:11:21):
And according to the press count, they said it was
relationships built between the two g ms, and they had
they had that rapport, they had that trust and and
that made they made a back door deal.

Speaker 6 (01:11:33):
Man, Hey, Robin playing seeds in him for the day
like this, He's like, I'm finished cast this ship and
all them dinners And.

Speaker 5 (01:11:40):
I'm like, you make you make the black man looking
competent than the motherfucker for the whole world. Now, Robina
looked like a goddamn genius. Nico Harrison, you look like
a dumb ass nigga for the world to seek. That's
why we can't let niggas. He looked like a d
e I all this d I ship they talk about.

Speaker 3 (01:12:10):
Oh man, your big brou What tell us how you
really feel, big.

Speaker 5 (01:12:18):
Brog like, keep on man you and then you let
the nigga say, man, look will you be war Burro.

Speaker 7 (01:12:30):
Nick?

Speaker 5 (01:12:31):
If that's your man, you said like your man, you
fleet your man. You wouldn't want to do some ship
to your man. He'll never get another job in the NBA.

Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
And he can't work for me.

Speaker 5 (01:12:42):
That's what thing he can do. Go work for you.

Speaker 1 (01:12:46):
Hey, that move might put Pelinka over Magic because man,
you was holding getting Lebron and and and being the
catalysts and getting Athony Davis over there over he Now
now he can say I got a twenty five year
old Luca in.

Speaker 7 (01:12:59):
The bill for.

Speaker 5 (01:13:04):
Nico Harrison right there up on the man like a
like a little ball. Just somebody that ship dumb up?

Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
Yeah, hey, look it was it was some other under
the radar trades. It's a game on right now. Baron
Fox is in the San Antonio Spurs uniform. What you
think that's going to look like? I watched before the
show started. I was watching the first quarter and it

(01:13:33):
looked like he hit the ground running. He was hooping
in front of off the off the jump. What you
guys think about that move with with Fox and big
Win beyonda when beyonda playing together for the next who
knows how many years.

Speaker 6 (01:13:52):
The move the move, I mean they need some more
pieces though to compete our West right now, because you
look at a team like Oklahoma City, they're gonna count
you with with check and Howdenstein and then you know
they got s G A. But then they got the
other pieces with the Williams and all those guys. So

(01:14:13):
it's a good first step for san Antonio to building
out the team about Win because he was gonna be
the next European to League fucking Texas.

Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
I mean, hey, Miami.

Speaker 6 (01:14:24):
Gonna be open in a few years. LA would have
been opened out there with Lucas. So they gotta do
what they gotta do to keep Winn being san Antonio.

Speaker 1 (01:14:31):
Because yea l a yeah, and they're sitting there like
the thirteenth spot right now. I predict with that with
this trade with Fox coming coming in, I predict them
making the play playing game and potentially UH squeezing into
the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (01:14:48):
That's a Bowl prediction, Kobe. Yeah, that is a you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (01:14:56):
But but you gotta remember everybody only separated by a
couple of games. That's not that. It ain't that bod.

Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
If you think about wing losses, they only behind a
couple of games from tenth.

Speaker 5 (01:15:08):
That's that's my point is that Bowl they made the playoffs.
I don't know, because Darrin Fiss a good player, but yeah,
he had another start with him in Sacramento. They was
well Sacramento right there with San Antonio and Sanatoyo that
they got some young, good wings like.

Speaker 1 (01:15:28):
M hm, yeah, And I want I want to hear
from oh dog you you out Dan Phoenix. There's a
lot of trade talk about k D. What's your thoughts?
And now you think he should stay in Phoenix? So
you would you like to see him laying somewhere else? Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:15:46):
I would like for them to bring somebody else here
with UH with UH with KD and Booker.

Speaker 6 (01:15:54):
Yeah, but with Bradley Beal having that no trade cause
in his joint he got it, he gotta sign off
on him. I don't I think they might just be
stuck with those three. Yeah, yeah, all our listeners and viewers.
It's tough to play be a professional athlete in Phoenix
and you can bounce to Vegas and forty five thirty. Man,

(01:16:15):
you know, you can Union in l A and uh.
It's it's just it's tough because I mean, besides Devin Boy,
I mean, you got, they just don't they the big
They just need I think they need some help with
the big man. You know, they need a big man
to help him out a little bit. Yeah, they don't
have any uh uh what you guys will call a

(01:16:37):
great or even a good defensive player, somebody that really
locks in on the defensive side of the ball.

Speaker 4 (01:16:43):
I think they got the I forgot the guy's name
that went the dude that nobody liked.

Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
Uh he was in now look, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:16:54):
I think he you know, he tries, but you know,
I just feel like they need another another piece.

Speaker 6 (01:17:00):
But once again they talking about him going to uh Dallas,
you know, maybe getting with Kyrie and uh that other guy.
So you know, I just think the NBA, now, Bro,
that the NBA is just I mean, you know, it
is what it is, Bro. But as far as uh,

(01:17:23):
you know the other trade. I think Chris Middleton, I
think it's over for him. They send him to d
C for his career to be over.

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
Yeah you know, yeah, I was about to say saluted
from getting out of that l Salvadorian prison, Washington Wizards.

Speaker 3 (01:17:41):
Yeah, so he gonna be.

Speaker 6 (01:17:43):
So so Chris Middleton is gonna be at park on Friday. Uh,
he's gonna be at Park on Friday. He's gonna be
over in Arlington somewhere, the little hoogar line.

Speaker 5 (01:17:56):
So uh, you know, won't be a probe player now
because he been hurt from Milwaukee and it's no reason
to rush your thirty seven year old ass back for
six and forty one.

Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
He gonna get a boy he gonna be a he's
gonna get ill about say.

Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
They probably just buy he do a buy at right, Yeah,
now they do. If he does a boy out.

Speaker 6 (01:18:22):
He goes somewhere that he could come off the bench,
like he goes and be like a piece, where he
can sign with a team that he might be able
to come off the bench. Give him about anywhere between
eight to about twelve points, you know, and Chris Middleton
at least tries to play a little defense. And he tries,
you know, and he's a good basketball player, but you know,
just with age and all those injuries he had. Man,

(01:18:44):
you know that year, that year when they won that championship, Man,
he put on the show. But after that it was
over hope and he got a bad and he got
his bag.

Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
So he good.

Speaker 6 (01:18:56):
But uh, those only trades that I you know that
I've seen you or whatever. But yeah, yeah, good luck
to all those guys.

Speaker 1 (01:19:04):
Yeah, and I think Zach Zach Levine in the Sacramento
uniform now, right, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:19:10):
He back there with what's his name? He back there
with me and ring yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:19:15):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So so shout out to all the
fellas many Oh yeah yeah, oh dog you your final thoughts?

Speaker 4 (01:19:25):
Yeah, I got a lot of final thoughts, but we
just don't have enough time to talk about it.

Speaker 6 (01:19:29):
I got a lot of final thoughts to talk about
it because y'all keep bringing up stats and this, this
and this and that. I ain't no stat guy, and
y'all talking about Poomy talking about well what.

Speaker 2 (01:19:39):
You doing the regular season?

Speaker 7 (01:19:41):
Man?

Speaker 6 (01:19:42):
Michael Jordan's regular season killing and my money mow Michael
Jordan regular season, regular season, regular season right, he killing
scoring titles, scoring titles and scoring title. They say, man,
we need you to show up playoffs. He killed in
the playoffs, Detroit lose. Man, we need you to win

(01:20:05):
and we need you to be the man.

Speaker 4 (01:20:06):
I need to see what you do. I am a playoff, right,
I am a I don't care if it's that. I
don't care if you lose in the playoffs. I am
a what have you done in the biggest game.

Speaker 6 (01:20:21):
I'm saying the same shit that I said last year,
and my money more about Jason Tatum.

Speaker 4 (01:20:26):
Correct, then my narrative ain't change. And that's fine.

Speaker 6 (01:20:30):
Y'all can have the guys with the stats, and I'll
take a guy that don't maybe don't have those type
of stats, but he's a dog when it comes to playoffs.
He do the little things, you know what I'm saying.
That's just my type of players. That's who I get
down with. I don't care about you having averaging forty
two's and this and this and that or whatever the
case may be. So what what do you do on

(01:20:53):
defensive side of the ball officer in the playoffs or
in the biggest game that you have been in. That's
what I judge you off of then that's all I'm saying. So,
and if you call, if we call somebody, let's not
act like we're comparing the levels, right, If somebody is
considered the best, a top if I'm considered one of
the top corners in the league, it's different than if

(01:21:18):
I'm considered.

Speaker 4 (01:21:19):
The nickel on my team.

Speaker 6 (01:21:21):
Correct, So somebody, if I'm the nickel on my team
and somebody have a couple of catches on me, you know,
such as oh, then but if I'm the considered top
five corner in the league and somebody have a couple
of heavy.

Speaker 4 (01:21:35):
Oh man, hey, oh come on now, it's a big difference.

Speaker 6 (01:21:39):
So if you considering somebody talking about well, he got
the top talent, he's can arguably one of the best,
then let's hold let's hold him to that stand.

Speaker 4 (01:21:47):
Let's let's let's hold whatever player it may be. That's
why I judge people off.

Speaker 6 (01:21:52):
I don't judge people off on stats because we can
all we can easily be confused by stats. I don't
judge people off of stats. I judge people off when
it came time when you going against another dog and
it's the brightest and the lights of bright what did
you do win, lose a draw. Did you do everything
you could to put your That's why as much as

(01:22:14):
I get on you Cob about Lamar Jackson, I go
crazy and we talked the worst whatever with you with
Lamar somebody else, I'm like, Nah, as bad as he played,
you gotta tip your hat to a gentleman like that,
because the simple factor is he could.

Speaker 4 (01:22:32):
Have win in the tank. Right, the man bounced back
and put his team in situation not only go down
to score, he go for two. And he did everything
but damn near hand the ball to the gym.

Speaker 6 (01:22:43):
That is how I judge players, not on or he
had sixty five or twenty. He was twenty two for
twenty one for seven hundred and fifty yards. No, how
did he play in the game. He might only been
ten for twelves, but he didn't know no interceptions, he
had no turnovers. He called a time out when when

(01:23:04):
the clock was getting ready to run out. That is
how I judge players, not on whether or not they
score points. I'm not a I'm not a stat guy, period.

Speaker 4 (01:23:12):
I'm on do you make motherfucking plays when it's time
to make plays, period?

Speaker 8 (01:23:18):
And if a belt and if a guy's bigger than you.
So what you in the NBA, figure the shit out
and and.

Speaker 6 (01:23:27):
If he if he leaning on you and he whatever,
take his big ass out to the motherfucker Pauls. Take
him out to the three point line if you consider
it the four and you can boog in you got
all this.

Speaker 8 (01:23:40):
Or take them outside.

Speaker 4 (01:23:43):
That's one of the things with this.

Speaker 6 (01:23:44):
But this fat boy right there, that's why he was
so good in athletic pot six foot five.

Speaker 4 (01:23:51):
But he out there dribbling, shoot, doing whatever, and he
three hundred some pounds. That's my point, bro, Like, I'm
not I don't. I don't. I don't fall from now that.
That's y'all, And that's cool whatever you know, stats cool,
it is what it is.

Speaker 8 (01:24:08):
So we're talking about we sat, Okay, the best DB's
got the best DB's got.

Speaker 4 (01:24:11):
The most interceptions. Fuck no, it's the best. Some of
the best dv's ain't getting thrown that, period.

Speaker 2 (01:24:19):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:24:21):
Man, So he I don't don't do when it comes
to stats. I don't want y'all y'all do that.

Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
Period.

Speaker 4 (01:24:27):
Cool. I'm just telling you like this, you know how
we judge them. No Cats Sports Show podcast.

Speaker 8 (01:24:32):
Are we partying? Are we money more. Are we hanging
out all night when we go against Anthony Davis?

Speaker 5 (01:24:38):
Man, Yes, yeah, we.

Speaker 6 (01:24:43):
Ain't even going back to the hotel room. We're going
straight from wherever we was.

Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
Shoot him right.

Speaker 4 (01:24:53):
If I gotta check the glass, man, y'all, Man, what
are we talking about? Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
Man, y'all, I have to take the glass.

Speaker 4 (01:25:06):
I'm out, Man, I'm out, all, I'm out.

Speaker 6 (01:25:12):
That's one of the reason why the Lakers won in
the bubble, because the fellas couldn't go out.

Speaker 4 (01:25:16):
They were just stuck in the bubble. They could get
out the party they wanted to go out.

Speaker 3 (01:25:23):
Sure, awesome, awesome tape. Awesome tape.

Speaker 4 (01:25:28):

to the Chiefs, because it because it stats.

Speaker 3 (01:26:22):
Yeah, it's awesome.

Speaker 5 (01:26:25):
I don't I just I don't think the NFL is
gonna let them win.

Speaker 4 (01:26:34):
Man, he goes, all right, uh.

Speaker 3 (01:26:37):
Here a conspiracy theory, the man.
