Seventeen taps, one table, and a promise to try them all. We dropped into Tumbled Rock Brewing in Baraboo with fresh palates and open notebooks, then worked our way from malty staples to modern haze and a final flight full of sours, spice, and a green-tinged saison. What we found was a brewery that prizes balance over bluster—clean fermentations, distinct styles, and a steady hand even when the ingredients get playful.

We start with the comfort zone: an Irish red that nails caramel and toast without dragging, a brown ale with gentle roast, and a cream ale that surprises with subtle sweetness. From there we pivot to a Danish-inspired lager seasoned with chamomile, lemon, ginger, and coriander, showing restraint where spice often overwhelms. A coffee oatmeal stout leans approachable rather than intense, more café aroma than espresso shot. The mid-run curveballs include a Mexican lager hopped with Motueka that divides the panel, and a lighter-than-usual doppelbock that wins points for drinkability over density.

Hop fans get a full tour: a double IPA boasting 88 IBUs yet drinking smoother than the number suggests, a hazy collaboration that actually earns the word “crushable,” and a strawberry–kiwi–hibiscus hazy where the color promises fireworks but the palate stays balanced. We also explore an English IPA that delivers dryness and subtle marmalade and a hoppy blonde that reads sweeter and citrusy rather than overtly bitter. The finale pushes boundaries—a pink lemonade wheat with patio energy, a tart strawberry sour that puckers instead of panders, a jalapeño tamarind mango sour that harmonizes heat and acidity, a dill pickle sour that needs more brine, and a French saison whose rustic yeast character meets eye-catching color.

If you’re mapping a Wisconsin beer trip, Tumbled Rock is worth the stop: a tap list with range, a space where you can watch the brewhouse, and beers that stay distinct without getting noisy. SPEAKER_01 (00:32):
Hey ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the
Northwest Fair Guy Podcast.
This isn't Mike being North ofthe Fair Guy.
And once again, we are in theBaraboo, Wisconsin area.
And this week we are at TumbledRock Brewing.
I am joined once again by mybrother Brian.
Hi.
And with Larry.
Hello.
So guys, this is a new breweryto me.

(00:52):
I've never had anything fromhere.
I'm pretty sure you guys haveany either.
So we're gonna get it.
They had 17 beers on tap, sowe're gonna try them all to give
you good to give our listenersthe best info we can possibly
give them.
Or at least so we can drinkmore.
So awesome.
So yeah, this is a neat built uhbuilding here.
Uh I don't know how you describeit, it's definitely like an old,

(01:14):
older looking, you know, kind ofbuilt to look old on the
outside.
It's it's a cool place, andwe're sitting in the room here
and looking, you can see intothe brewing area, and they do
have some barrels sitting inthere.
Uh, not a whole lot of them, butthey got some barrels of
something's something is uh, andI can't read what it says on the
back there.
So, anyway, we're going to uhgive this a whirl.

(01:37):
So the first one, uh, we gotwell, we got three flights of
five, and then two extras.
The flights come out in thecupcake tins.
The first one that we're gonnatry is Butch's Red Dog.
It's an Irish red ale, 4.4percent, 22 IBUs, a sweet
caramel, malty nose with notesof toasted bread, toffee, and

(01:58):
slight caramel sweetness tofinish it off.
Perfect for an all-day fishingouting.
So it definitely looks like ared ale.
Definitely malty aroma to it.
So we got that.
That's got a malty taste forsure.
Oh, yeah.
It's not bad.
I mean, especially, you know,we've had other Irish reds, and
they all kind of have that.

(02:18):
I must have uh, you know, Ialways say burnt, but it's a
roasted malty flavor to it.
And that one definitely is rightthere in that same ballpark.
Yes, that's that's that's prettygood, especially for first one
right off the bat.
Yeah, I'm saying 4.4% you coulddrink a few of them, you know.
So what uh what are yourthoughts?

(02:39):
Oh same as you it's got a gooduh good flavor.
It's good uh not hard to drinkat all, it's really good.
I don't know how to say it'sjust really good.
So score-wise, what uh what areyou thinking?
I'd I'd probably give it a 2.9.
2.9, okay.

(02:59):
2.7 compare red.
Okay, I'd probably go 2.9.
Yeah, I liked it.
I thought it was good.
I'll go 2.8, I believe, on thatone.
But yeah, it's definitelysmooth, really good flavor to
it.
I'm impressed with the firstone.
So let's see.
I gotta look on their their menuhere and find the next one.
Okay, the next one is ChuckBrown Dog.

(03:22):
It's a brown ale, 5.6% of 20IBUs.
A traditional English brown withnotes of cocoa, toffee, dark
stone fruit, and tobacco.
That's definitely got kind of adarker you know for a brown ale,
it's pretty pretty dark, youknow.
It's not bad.
Kind of a subtle uh roastinessto it, right?
I say I'm trying to figure outthe when they say stone fruit,

(03:47):
what is stone fruit?
I've never had a stone fruit, soI don't know it.
I was gonna say every time I seeit, it's like it tastes like you
know, or what is it?
I don't know.
But you know, like most brownnails don't have a whole lot of
flavor.
I mean, this one has a littlebit more, yeah.
But I don't know if I'm reallygetting I do get that roasty
flavor, right?
Right.

(04:07):
It's not as strong, it's like anut brown.
Right.
Yep, I agree.
So score-wise, where are yougoing on this one?
Well, it's not bad.
Um I think it's kind of averagefrom say two five.
Okay, yeah, I'd say two five awhole yeah, two five.
Yeah, we'll make it unanimous.
Like I said, it wasn't bad, butit's it's your normal brown ale,

(04:28):
I kind of feel like.
So all right, number three.
This is the Utter Udders UpCream Ale.
5.7%, 11 IBUs, slightly sweetwith a balanced hot bitterness.
And it says it's one of the fivechips.
It's gotta be good if it's gotchick chops in it.

(04:49):
It definitely is a sweet flavor, yeah.
Yeah, that one's definitely gota sweet sweetness to it.
Yeah.
Well, it's not heavy, not supermalty.
Right.
For being like a uh normal beercolor, it kind of surprises me
the sweetness in it.
You know, typically I thinkthat's gonna be more like a dark

(05:10):
beer kind of thing, but yeah, Idon't I don't mind that too
much.
I think score-wise, I think I'mdoing I'm gonna go like a 2.7 on
that one.
That's what I was thinking too,was a 2.7.

SPEAKER_00 (05:22):
2.6 is better than the last one.
2.7, I'm guessing.

SPEAKER_01 (05:26):
The next one is a Dutch Dutch Dutch Farmer Lager,
5%, 17 IBUs.
Lagered for six weeks with aDanish lager yeast grain and
brewed with cantomile, lemon, ginger, and coriander.
Oh brewed special for Michelle'sfoster parents and all foster

(05:48):
parents that give unconditionallove and support.

SPEAKER_00 (05:51):
Coriander isn't like a lag.

SPEAKER_01 (05:56):
It's real hard to get the right among that
coriander.
It doesn't this one it doesn'treally taste it.

SPEAKER_00 (06:03):
Yes, I said that's this one here.

SPEAKER_01 (06:04):
It's really a little bit out of the finish.
A little bit, but most of thetime when you see coriander,
that's what you get.
You taste it.
You know, it's just like that'snot bad.
That's not bad.
Kind of surprising.

SPEAKER_00 (06:19):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (06:20):
I probably do it.
I'd say two six, two seven for ascore.

SPEAKER_00 (06:28):
Oh, you're not a big fan of the cross.

SPEAKER_01 (06:33):
I don't know what tea really tastes like, you
know, so I don't know if I'mgetting that tea.
Lemon or ginger.
Lemon and ginger.
I'm not really sure if I get awhole lot of well, like I said,
the the coriander is not is notin your face, so that's a nice
thing.
So yeah, I'm gonna go like a twoseven as well.

(06:53):
That one wasn't too bad.
So the last one on the firstwhite is FICA.
I hope I'm saying that right.
Sweet oatmeal coffee spout.
4.5%, 27 IBUs.
And says, inspired by our headbrewer, Erica's trip to Sweden,
Fika is a delightful Swedishcustom of pausing your day to

(07:16):
enjoy coffee and a can of cannelbowl bowler with friends.
A sweet oatmeal salute made withlocally roasted coffee from our
friends at nautical, sweetlactose and a touch of cinnamon.
This beer smells like a rich cupof freshly brewed coffee with a
sweet and full-bodied mouthfeeland a dash of cinnamon.

(07:38):
I feel tastes coffee, notcinnamon isn't so much like that
in the other one.
Yeah, I'm not sure if I getcinnamon.

SPEAKER_00 (07:45):
Yeah, I don't I don't get any cinnamon actually.

SPEAKER_01 (07:48):
Definitely get you know coffee, but it's not like
the that you're chewing on whatcoffee they're on.
It's not that strong of a coffeeflavor, but it's it's present.
That's it's pretty subtle at theat the end.
Right.
I was expecting a coffee song tobe just bam in your face.
Yeah, it's not bad.
No, it's it's decent.
Yes, uh it's definitelydrinkable.
Like I said, I get the sin one,but I definitely get the coffee

(08:10):
on the aftertaste.
Um I'd probably give it a aprobably do a two eight amount.
Okay.
What did you think of the snout?

SPEAKER_00 (08:20):
I give it a two six.

SPEAKER_01 (08:22):
Okay.
I'll go two five because it hadthat coffee flavor that I really
don't care for.
Right.
Yeah, and I would say that uhI'm gonna go like a two six as
well.
It was it was decent.
Uh I think if it had thecinnamon, it might have been a
little bit little better, but uhyeah, I think it was it was
good.
Alright.
So we oh we got we're gonna dothe two in the middle, if I

(08:44):
remember right.
Okay.
So the first one that we havethere, of the two extras, is
Jimmy B's Mexican lager.
4.3%, 42 IBUs.
Crisp and refreshing, brewedwith flaked maize, and hopped
with what?
M-O-T-U-E-K-A.

(09:05):
Served with line wedge.
Yeah, I would have seen thatbefore.
Okay.
So it's new to you as well.
Yep.
It's got kind of a weird tasteto it.
I hate to say it, it almost hasa soapy taste.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A little bit, doesn't it?
It's kind of that it's notoffensive, but it's definitely

(09:26):
got a taste almost like like Isaid, it's like a kind of a hint
of soap.
So what do you think on thatone?
I probably have to that probablybe like a two-four.
2-4, okay.
One that I don't like.

SPEAKER_00 (09:39):
Uh say two three.
I didn't carefully.
Yeah, two three.

SPEAKER_01 (09:44):
Yeah, I'll I'll stick with the two three as
well.
Not bad.
I was expecting a little bitdifferent.
The next one is I gotta find iton the menu here, the
Doppelbach.
Jake from State Park Doppelbach.
Okay, 6.1%, 20 and a half IDUs.
When assistant brewer JakeMillard came up with the idea

(10:04):
for a beer recipe, we decided tolet him take some time off the
keg washer and hand over themash paddle.
We were excited for Jake's firstbeer recipe at Tumblebrock.
A strong malty nose with hintsof toffee, subtle chocolate, and
rich stone fruit.
I'm thinking it's just when youdon't know what the flavor is,

(10:25):
you're saying it's stone fruit.
A little different.
Definitely doesn't taste likeyour normal doppelback.
Oh, so a little thinner, alittle lighter.
Really?
That a lot of them are.
Yeah, not bad, but um, yeah,it's definitely not as strong
flavored.
Yeah, I would agree.
I would have to say that myfavorite one out of that first
flag.
So was this one?

(10:45):
Yeah.
Wow.
What are you thinking for ascore?
I go two seven.
Okay.
I'll do that.
27.

SPEAKER_00 (10:52):
26 is good.

SPEAKER_01 (10:54):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with I'll go with 27 as well.
So yeah, that wasn't too bad.
Definitely, like I said, for thethe first time any of any of us
had a beer from here, thatthey're solid.
They're not good, you know.
Yep, and some of them the light, the fresh air tastes good.
Yeah, all right.
But we'll go for the next one,and the first one we have on our
second plate is Devil's DoorwayDouble IPA 8.7 percent, 88 IBUs,

(11:20):
double dry hop with amarillo, sinco, and citra, lending big
notes of fresh citrus, pineapple, and passion fruit.
A perfect blend of fruity andearthy with a bold bitter
finish.
Sounds like an IPA for being uhwhat is it, a double IPA?
Double IPA and the 88 IBUs, andit doesn't really have a harsh

(11:41):
round bike.
I would expect to be more bitterfor 88.
Right.
Well, like we said, I don'tthink the IBU scale is
technically, you know.
So I would say I don't mind it.
Not deer, but I would I wouldgive it probably a 2.8.
That's what I would do.
2-8.
Yeah, that sounds good, right?
Sure, I'll stick with that.

(12:02):
Yeah, it was decent.
He said that it wasn't as ashoppy, I mean bitter bite to it
as I was expecting, but it wasgood.
Alright.
So the second one we have, I'vegot to find it on the list here.
Oh, here we go.
Quartzite crush 2.0.
Hazy IPA 5.7%, 36 IBUs.

(12:23):
Our second moderation with ourfriends at Friends of Devil's
Lake is the super hazycrushable.
Crushable.
See, there's that uh technicalterm again, crushable beer
boasts big notes of pine, brightgrapefruit, and fresh orange,
and loads of tropical fruit witha smooth bitterness.
One dollar of every pint goesback to Friends of Devil's Lake.

(12:46):
So they're doing somefundraising, you know, with
other organizations, which isnice.
You said this was a 2.0 versionof it?
Yes.
Yeah, like it.
It's not bad.
Yeah.
Well, anytime a beer iscrushable.
Yeah.
Yeah, it uh it was decent.

(13:06):
I mean, definitely had uh almostmore hot taste a little bit than
what the double IBU.

SPEAKER_02 (13:13):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (13:13):
So, you know, that's always what confuses me on that
stuff with the IBUs, is it justdoesn't seem like it.
Right.
Makes sense at times, you know, that scale.
But anyway, so what uh what kindof score would you give that?
Oh, I'd probably give a 2-7.
Yeah, I think 2-7, you know, butyeah, it sounds good.
I mean it was good, but it's Ithink I'm gonna go like a 2-6 on

(13:35):
that one.
But it it still was was decent, you know.
I I don't mind it at all, but itwas just, you know, it's a
little different.
So all right.
So we got now we're gonna behalfway through that one.
So this is Babe Brew StrawberryKiwi Hibiscus Hazy IPA.
6.3% 40 IBUs.

(13:58):
Tumble Rock's firstcollaboration with the Beer Babe
family.
One dollar of every pint will bedonated to Beer Babe, an
organization that awards grantsto women in the beer industry.
This hazy IPA has notes of sweetstrawberry, fresh kiwi,
grapefruit, and orange rind witha slightly bitter finish.
So I'm a little worried when itsays uh rind.

(14:21):
Because half the time it's likeseems like it gets real bitter
when they put it.
It's not really harsh bitter, but you can still taste that.
I guess I do get a little bit ofthe fruit that they were
talking, but it's pretty soft.
You know.
Yeah, looking at it, I thoughtit was gonna be more full sort
of like a source.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, because the color was kindof a cross between like a

(14:42):
grapefruit and it wasn't as likea red strawberry, but it was
kind of that grapefruit wheatcolor, if you want to call it
that.
Yep.
But yeah, it's uh it'sdifferent.
I mean, I do get some of the thefruit flavor, just not a whole
lot of it.
Right.
You know?
So what do you think on thatone?
I'd probably do a 2-5.
Okay.

SPEAKER_00 (15:02):
Yeah, I was thinking 2.4.
2-5.
That was pretty average, Ithought.

SPEAKER_01 (15:07):
Yeah, I'll stick with you on that one too.
I think it was it was decent, but I don't think it would be my
first choice.
So this one is Sarrington RoadEnglish IPA.
6%, 26 IBUs, traditional EnglishIPA, notes of orange marmalade,
biscuit, and a bit ofearthiness.
So that means it tastes likedirt or yeah, kind of a darker

(15:31):
color for a lot of like an IPA.
I'm not sure how many EnglishIPAs I've had, but you won't
really get a whole lot of hop.
It's more just uh dryness on thefinish.
Yeah.
I'm not sure that I tastemarmalade, orange marmalade at
all.
Could be wrong, but I I don'tit's not real prominent or
anything.
They do think the color lookslike it.

(15:52):
Yeah, could be.
Could be interesting.
So yeah, I I definitely had kindof dried my mouth out a little
bit on that one.
What are you thinking for uh forscore?
I'd probably do a two six.
Okay.
Was there stuff you liked aboutit?
There is, but it it's uh I don'tknow.
I didn't I wish it had a littlemore hot white.

(16:13):
Sure.
But uh it's very clean beer.
You can drink a lot of them.
So you just get that little bitof dryness on the finish.
Um a little sweeter in flavor, but yeah.
Okay.
So what'd you guys think for ascore?

SPEAKER_00 (16:29):
2-4, something like that.

SPEAKER_01 (16:31):
I'd say 2-5.
I mean, I'd drink it, but itprobably wouldn't be my first
choice.
Right.
I'm trying to decide which ifI'd like that one better than
the last one or which way.
Um I'll go 2-4 on it.
It wasn't bad, it was different.
You know, like I said, I don'tthink we've had too many English
IPAs, but uh, I do think therewas maybe a tweak here and

(16:53):
there, possibly in a in thatwhen it dries your mouth out,
it's always kind of that weirdthing.
So okay, and the last one on oursecond flight here is it's just
across the lake.
Hoppy Blondale, 5.7% ABV, 29IBUs.
A beer made, a beer's beer, easyto drink, brewed with cashmere

(17:17):
and Michigan copper, a bitherbal with notes of sweet
citrus rind and tropical punch.
I get more sweet, I don't getmuch of a hop right from that
one.
Even on the aroma, it's got kindof a not a lot of aroma, but a
little bit of a sweet.
Yeah, that's different.
I don't get a hoppy really no,like I said, I get more of a

(17:38):
sweet, more of a citrus type offlavor, yeah.
Almost, that's for sure.
Interesting.
2-5.
Yeah, two four.
We're kind of sensing a trend.
Yeah, yeah.
They're kind of in that two fiveballpark, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, that one wasdifferent.

(17:59):
Like you said, if it was reallycold, I think it would be maybe
a tinge better, but yeah, butit's uh yeah, different.
Well, hey boys, we're on ourlast five.
Alright, so the first one wehave is Anonymous number one.
4.6%, 13 IBUs.

(18:20):
Life handing you lemons.
Let's make the pink lemonade foryou.
Creamy wheat beer with a hugenose of sweet and tart pink
lemonade.
Easy drinking with a hint ofwheat beer on the finish.
You can definitely taste thelemon in it.
Oh, yeah.
Wow, even the aroma.
Yeah, that sweet smell.
I think uh it's almost like asweet tart smell.

(18:42):
That one there, if it was icecold, would be very good beer.
Yeah, I think that's that'ssurprising.
That one uh that surprises mebecause like I said, the on the
aroma, it is very sweet.
Yeah, you know, and it almosthas a hint like a cotton candy
taste for me.
You know, you're kind of likeinteresting.
What did you think, Brian?

(19:03):
It was interesting.
It uh had a little more lemonthan I thought it would.
Yeah, that yeah.
But I mean it the lemon didn'toverpower it or not, it didn't
overpower.
It wasn't like a like a reallytart lemon, you know.
I'd give it probably a twoeight.
Okay.
I think I'll go two nine.
I actually like that.
I'm in agreement with you.

(19:24):
I'm gonna go with two nine.
I thought it was actually prettygood.
And like I said, I don't know,it just reminds me of cotton
candy kind of thing.
That's how it's called.
That is the uh anonymous numberone.
The next one that we have, andthis is one of the longest, the
longer names for a beer I'veseen, Emotional Roller Coaster,
but it is completely different, but also still a strawberry

(19:47):
sour.
Strawberry sour 4%, 16 IBUs.
So we'll just call it EmotionalRoller Coaster.
Uh Emotional Roller Coasterremixed using Northern Discovery
hops and soured with tartangoyeast.
Is that how you say it?
Tartango yeast.
Look, yeah, this beer packs adelightful flavor, punch, flavor

(20:09):
punch of sweet freshstrawberries, bright citrus, and
puckering sour finish.
It smells like it's it's verytart.
I think it kind of makes meemotional.
So that's the that's the onewhere it almost gets you right
here.
Yep, yep.
I am concerned about a two-two.

(20:31):
Yeah, it's uh it's a sour, but Imean it's it's not terrible, but
boy, it uh it gets yourattention.
Yep.
You know, so let's see, we got atwo-two.
What are you thinking?
I'd go two three just to be anice two three.
I'll I'll go with the two threeas well.
Yeah, it's uh like I said, it'sone of those where it's on the
verge of like hurting your jaw.

(20:53):
Yeah, you know, when they get tothat real tart.
Now, I will say, you know, itseems like a lot of sours
anymore are going to be wherethey're like really sweet.
You know, and it's like how canyou call those sours then?
You know, it just is kind ofweird to me, but this one is not
like your normal traditionalsour where it's really sour, but
it it's getting to that verge.

(21:14):
So interesting.
Okay, let's see.
The third one on this one is thecabana drains jalapeno tamarind
mango sour.
4% 13 IBUs, a tart sour beerbrewed with tamarind and

(21:35):
conditioned on sweet ripe mangoand fresh hand-cut jalapenos.
Big spicy aroma with a sweet, sour, and smooth finish.
This beer is a tumble rockcenter proud favorite and made
in a in very small batch.
You definitely get the flavorright up front of the jalapeno,

(21:56):
but you get on the on thefinish, you'll get a little bit
of heat, but it's not bad.
It's very I like that one.
You mean for being a sour?
Yeah.
That the the heat from thepepper must counteract the
sourness a little bit orsomething because it's that's
pretty good.
And like you said, there's uhjust a tinge of heat.

(22:16):
Yeah, not bad at all, but boy,you get the aroma and the flavor
of the jalapeno.
That's the thing I've noticed uhuh the breweries have been
around on this trip, they've hada a few different jalapeno beers
and they have all had reallygood aroma, really good flavor,
and just a little bit of heat toit, you know.
So really good.
What uh what are your thoughts?

(22:38):
I'd go a two eight.
I mean, I I really like thatbeer.
I can drink that.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (22:45):
I can do that.
Say two eight.
I'm not a sour guy.
I don't mind the jalapeno, butit's too tart.
I go down to a two five.

SPEAKER_01 (22:54):
Okay.
Personally, I think I'm gonna golike a two nine.
I really I liked it.
And I'm not a big sour guyeither, but I think that
jalapeno either counteracts itor something, however, they did
it, it it was pretty good.
I think that it it didn't suredidn't feel like a sour.
So by the name of this one, I'mguessing it's a pickle beer.

(23:14):
And they always make the namesof pickle beers just to where
you're I think you're talking alittle dirty.
Yeah, because this one stoppedjerking me around.
Dill pickle sour beer, 5.2%, 19MBUs.
Brinus or River, we make apickle beer.
Sweet.
This sour beer base was loadedup with fresh pickling spices,

(23:36):
salt, and fresh pickle juice.
Sour, salty, tart, refreshing.
Goes great with a house-madebloody merry on its own.
No brawler fills, no samples ofthis.
It uh I mean we've drank a lotof pickle beers lately, and that
one there uh doesn't really havea whole lot of pickle flavor.

(23:59):
I hope they kept the receipt forthe pickles because I'd bring
them back.
There'd be not a lot of flavorthere.
Yeah, no, I don't get much.
On the aftertaste, you get alittle bit of pickle, but it's
nothing like those other onesthat we've had where it was
definitely you know, andunfortunately, uh on an earlier
podcast when we had that onethat had that garlic pickle

(24:20):
flavor, that kind of ruined us,I think, because this this one
is is not bad, but it definitelyis.
It's not in that class of nopickle bear pickle.
No, it needs more pickle, soscore-wise, I'm thinking I'm
gonna go like a 2.2.6.
I think it's slightly aboveaverage, but they they

(24:41):
definitely had room to they needmore pepper.
Just because it doesn't tastelike any of the ones we've had
lately.
I'm gonna go like a 2.4.

SPEAKER_02 (24:49):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (24:52):
Okay.
Yeah, like I said, I think wegot ruined on that one.
Yeah, and this one it definitelyneeds a little more pickle.
So stop jerking us around andgive us more pickle.
That's right.
All right, guys.
The last one here now fromTumble Rock.
Give me my butterfly clips back.

(25:14):
Then butterfly pea flower FrenchSaison.
8.1%, 34 IBUs.
A fun, colorful collaborationbetween two besties who work at
different breweries but sharethe same love of music, cats,
and beer.
Brewed in collaboration withLindsay A Third Space Brewing.

(25:37):
This colorful French Saisonboasts huge aromas of pink
bubblegum and freshly squeezedoranges with flavors of sweet
citrus, fresh floral and herbalfinish garnished with a squeeze
of lemon and real to reallybrighten it up.
I don't know what you guysthink, but when you set it on

(25:57):
the table and look, it almostlooks green.
It kind of does.
Well, even when you hold it up,it's kind of that it's a green
tinge to it.
Boy, that tastes like a Cezannefor sure.
I mean, it's almost like afarmhouse.
You know what I mean?
Kind of that, you definitely getlike that yeasty.
I'm not getting a lot of thatmyself while my cycles are kind
of definitely.

(26:20):
I thought I think it has astronger flavor to it.
The green color is a littledifferent.
Oh, scan pee by that.
Uh I guess score-wise, on thegive me my butterfly clips back.
What are you thinking?
For me, probably a two six.
Okay.
Two five at this.

(26:40):
Now's we're gonna go two five.
Yeah, I'll do a two five.
Uh it's uh it's not terrible, but like I said, it definitely
to me it has a like a you knowhow those like a lot of uh well
the Saisons and somewhat of a uhlike a farmhouse ale kind of
that Belgian y, yeasty type ofthing, but it's does its French,

(27:04):
but it's still to me it's gotkind of that right reminiscent
kind of flavor of that.
So definitely different.
So that's uh all 17 beers fromTumbled Rock.
What uh what are your thoughtson uh day?
I don't tell anybody if they'rein the area to definitely stop
by.
It uh it's a really neat lookingbrewery.
Uh well so you see from the tapunder see all the equipment and

(27:28):
everything.
Uh all the beers are drinkable, they're they're all good.
So uh yeah, I would definitelyrecommend anybody to come.
Larry, what did you think?
Yeah, I agree.
I agree with Brian.
It's kind of a cool place.
Yeah, I was gonna say, I thinkthey got a lot of different
styles, it seems like, you know, where you they should be able to
have something that you'd bewilling to try.

(27:49):
You know, I don't think we hadany of them that tasted the
same.
No, like some breweries that yougo through, you'll drink beer or
four in a row and they allpretty much taste the same.

SPEAKER_00 (27:58):
Yeah.
Well, they were you know cleanbeer.

SPEAKER_01 (28:05):
Right.
Yeah, she when the bartender putthese together for the flights
together, she tried to keep themsomewhat similar, you know, kind
of the malty ones, and then theyou had the the IPAs and then
kind of the solars.
Uh we did fine short one.
We did a good job at that.
Yeah, yeah.
You know, and yep, for sure.
And I was gonna say, honestly, like once again, it wasn't one

(28:27):
that was like not drinkable.
Um you know, it was just youknow, a few of them are not
really kind of our tastebuttons.
But it's in your wheel box.
There you go, yeah.
But other than that, they theywere good.
So awesome.
So yeah, guys, thanks for comingover to Tumbled Rock, checking
this out.
And like I said, this is thefirst time we've ever done any
beers from from Tumbled Rock.

(28:48):
And I would agree, I would sayif you're in the area, stop over
and and it the entire, you know, they got the brewery, and then
right just right next door is Iguess you can get food there.
It's a kitchen on it, andthey're kind of connected by a
little circle.
Like the merchandise is overthere also.
Okay, so they have the merch andyou got an open bar, a cold bar
under food.
Okay, gotcha.
So it's kind of its own little, you know, bar and yeah, yeah,

(29:12):
bar and restaurant, so to speak.
Kind of similar like that.
So awesome.
Well, hey, ladies and gentlemen, thanks for listening to us talk
about Tumbled Rock in Baraboo,Wisconsin.
Uh, like I said, stop by.
I think you'll really like it.
And uh, guys, thank you so much.
