The Ovechkin goal scoring record hangover is in full effect as the team is trying to get back to it's winning ways. Unfortunately, this is proving harder than expected as the Caps have had very little to play for after Ovi has shattered the record. They have locked in the #1 seed in the East and secured another Metropolitan Division title for weeks now and these last games are largely a formality.
Spencer Carberry doesn't seem too bothered about this and believes that the Caps are going to be able to turn it on during the playoffs. But between then and now, they still have a couple of meaningless games left to finish out.
