On this episode of The One Big Thing Podcast, I sit down with Jabari Davis, former University of Tennessee running back (2001–2004) and the man fans still call The J-Train, Big Juice, and The Gator Killer. While his highlight reels and touchdowns against Florida made him a Tennessee legend, what inspires me most is the work he’s doing now to make an impact far beyond the gridiron.

Jabari opens up about the highs of playing in Neyland Stadium, the lows of dealing with injury and depression, and the faith and family that helped him find purpose again. We talk about his transition from football to launching the Legends of Tennessee nonprofit, where he’s empowering the next generation through sports, mentorship, education, and youth mental health programs

In this conversation, you’ll learn:

  • How to bounce back when life doesn’t go according to plan.
  • Why your legacy isn’t defined by stats, but by the lives you touch.
  • The importance of gratitude, community, and mentorship in building a meaningful life.
  • How sports can teach lessons far greater than the game itself.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
