(00:32):
I'm your host, vekka, and todayit's a solo episode of
something I really wanted totalk about in honor of Women's
History Month.
When I think about Women'sHistory Month, I think of all
the courageous women that weknow about that have made impact
in history, and we often admirethem for their brave acts.
But before we name all thewell-known women who made
history, I like to highlight adifferent kind of courage, one
(00:56):
that I believe goes unnoticed.
Yes, the women whoseachievements changed the world
are remembered by name, andrightfully so.
But I believe that for eachhistorically recognized woman,
there are countless others whosename we'll never see in the top
of the list.
Yet I believe these underratedwomen are truly making history.
(01:19):
It is the woman who quietlyshows up for a friend who just
had a miscarriage.
It's the one who sits with aneighbor in tears, listening to
her greatest fears andinsecurity.
It's the woman who picks up thephone to hear the same story
over and over again from herfriend in troubled marriage.
It's the woman who sees thestruggling student in their
(01:40):
classroom and speaks the goodthat they see in them, even when
everyone else sees them as onlya bully or troubled kid.
But they see deeper.
It's the single mom who'sworking two jobs after leaving
an abusive relationship, determined to provide for her
children and carve a betterfuture.
(02:01):
It's the woman doing her bestto break generational cycles,
even when it hurts like hell, wondering if she'll ever
overcome what those before hercould not.
It's the woman who keeps seeingthe best in people, even after
being hurt time and time again.
It's the friend who sits with acancer patient, letting them
(02:21):
know that they won't face thisalone.
It's the friend who sits with acancer patient, letting them
know that they won't face thisalone.
It's the wife who shows up for amarriage day after day, even
when all hope seems out of reach.
It's the woman who serves heremployees like family, wanting
the best for them.
It's the woman who's committedto taking care of a child with
(02:43):
disabilities, even perhaps whenother people have given up.
It's the woman who believesthat the best is yet to come,
letting her faith carry herthrough yet another day.
It's the woman who struggleswith addiction, trying to cope
with her traumatic past, doingthe best she can with the tools
(03:07):
that she has now.
It's the woman who prays on herknees for child making poor
choices, believing this won'talways be the reality.
It's the woman who hasaudacious faith and believes
that even the smallest acts ofher kindness can change a life.
It's the one who loves thosearound her with everything she's
(03:29):
got, even if she can't affordtherapy or doesn't have all the
tools.
It's for the woman who isn'ttrying to make history, but
who's simply doing her best dayin and day out.
These women are silentsuperheroes.
If you're listening to thistoday and you're a woman, hear
(03:51):
me say this you are valuable, you're an important woman and

ripple effect into eternity, impacting more lives than you
can imagine, no matter how smallthe act.
(04:11):
