In this episode of The Peaceful Place, we come together to find solace amid the anxiety and uncertainty surrounding the 2024 election results and the future of our country and our world. My intention today is to offer you a safe and compassionate space to nurture your mind and body. Together, we’ll remember that our anxiety is not a sign of weakness, but a powerful reminder of our vision for a better world—a vision we courageously hold onto.

Rather than pushing away our worries, we’ll take a moment to validate them, recognizing that our fears often reflect our hopes for a more loving, inclusive world. Through a calming blend of breathwork, affirmations, and a gentle golden energy visualization, this episode invites you to connect with a deeper well of strength and resilience within.

As we expand our courage together, we’ll tap into a collective energy of peace, love, and hope that holds us all. Tune in whenever you need a reminder that it’s okay to feel scared and uncertain. You are not alone, and you are part of a community seeking a brighter future. Allow yourself to feel supported, heard, and uplifted as we navigate these times with compassion and inner strength.

(00:00):
Welcome to the Peaceful Place. I am your host, Melissa Field, and this is a podcast devoted

(00:09):
to uplifting you with messages of love, hope, and connection. In these times of uncertainty,
this is a sanctuary where progressive voices can find warmth, safety, and shared values.
Here we come together to reconnect with love and inner peace, embrace our hopes for a better

(00:31):
world, and feel safe in knowing it's okay to be scared and hurting right now. May this
space be a lighthouse in the darkness for you, a reminder that you're not alone, and
a source of powerful peace whenever you need it.
Today we're going to focus on some anxiety and stress relief on restoring some feelings

(00:56):
of strength and calm within. One thing I found with anxiety and fear and even panic is that
we often want to bring it down to zero, and this can slow down the process of bringing
down the anxiety because often we can't reach a point of zero and we're not meant to because

(01:18):
our anxiety, our fear is telling us something very real. We're feeling these feelings for
a reason. We might be feeling them because of past experiences and our mind wants to
protect us and tell us there is reason to be nervous and scared right now. We might

(01:41):
be feeling this because of the uncertainty of the future. We might be feeling this because
we can just feel the collective energy around us. It's not wrong to have anxiety or fear,
it's okay to have it. And so we don't want to try to bring it down to zero because that
can make that part of us that's scared get louder and bigger and it pushes back harder.

(02:06):
What we want to do is bring down the intensity for the sake of our mind and our body and
our nervous system and then give love to that part of us that is scared and acknowledge
that it's having this reaction for a reason and it's okay. We accept it, we're with it

(02:28):
and we just want to let that part of us know it's okay to be scared. It's okay to be a
person who looks out and says this is not the world that I envisioned and I'm scared
for what we are creating because that part of us that's scared is connected to our desire

(02:49):
for a more loving, inclusive, better world. That part of us, it's not something that we
want to get rid of. That part of us that is scared is connected to our vulnerability,
to our softness, to our heart. And we want to protect that, we want to nurture that.

(03:10):
So we don't want to try to push it down and say I need to not be afraid right now. The
fear, it's okay. It's here for a reason and it's okay to be soft. It's what the world
needs. But what we want to do is bring down the intensity which you absolutely can do

(03:32):
and remember that there is a part of you that is eternally strong. There is a part of you
that is connected to higher dimensions, higher energies, higher guidance. There is a part
of you that is pure love and the love is so much bigger than the fear. The love is holding

(04:02):
everything. And so what I want you to do right now is if you can put one or both of your
hands on your heart. Just breathe. Feel your connection to your heart through your hands.

(04:29):
Feel your own energy. Feel your connection to something deeper. Something eternal.

(04:58):
Something that is telling you, I got you. I got you. And as you tune into this, I want

(05:25):
you to remind yourself that courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is being scared
and going forward anyways. And that is why we come together as a collective voice of
peace and love because we have the courage to do so. Because we have the courage to stand

(05:53):
up to ideas and values that we don't agree with because we have the courage to support
ourselves and vulnerable communities when they need it most. We come together to support
ourselves and to embrace this courage that is within all of us. And right now in this

(06:20):
moment you are listening to this, but you are connected to everyone who is tuning into their
heart, into their courage. You are not alone. You are part of something bigger, something

(06:41):
beautiful, something that is full of love. And as you are feeling into this, just give
the anxiety permission to be here. Give the fear permission to be here. Let it know that

(07:15):
it's okay. It's okay to be scared. And as you feel into that and give it permission,
just allow it to be held by the love, to be supported by not just your love, but the love

(07:48):
that we are creating together. Feel into the fact that we are in this together and we are
creating a powerful energy of love and connection. And as you feel into this, I want you to start

(08:14):
to slow down your breath. Just focus on your breath. Notice it slowing down. Getting deeper,

(08:40):
getting longer, getting richer. And now you are going to visualize a golden energy point
down to the top of your head. And this energy carries a higher guidance, a higher love.

(09:08):
Let it pour through your mind, just holding everything there, bringing in higher guidance,
higher feelings of peace and love. And this golden energy pours down your neck and down
your shoulders, releasing tension near. And it pours down your arms and out through your

(09:39):
fingertips. And this golden energy pours down into your heart and it expands the energy
of your heart. Sometimes because of the anxiety and the fear, we will contract our energy.
And so open up your heart, remember that your power comes from love. Your power comes from

(10:11):
standing in your integrity and your beautiful light. Just allow the light of your heart
to expand out. To take a deep breath here and to remember that you are a divine being

(10:32):
and you are here for a reason. And allow that golden energy to pour down into your stomach
and your lower back. And it soothes all the anxiety in your stomach. Just feel your stomach

(10:55):
relaxing. And the energy is flowing through your hips, allowing your hips to relax. It's
flowing through your lower energy centers, through the energy that's at the base of your

(11:17):
body that's often called the root chakra. And allow this energy to flow down your legs
into your feet. And it just releases down to the bottoms of your feet, pouring out into

(11:38):
the earth, cleansing, you're rinsing away all that stress. Just allowing you to know
that you can be held by this energy. This energy is with the anxiety, the doubt, the

(12:01):
fear. It wants to support you, it wants to nurture you. Just allow it to do so. Allow
yourself to be nurtured. And we're going to take a deep breath together as we conclude

(12:30):
today's practice. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. And as we
finish today, if you're still feeling a lot of anxiety, a lot of stress, a lot of fear,
really care of yourself. Allow yourself to maybe take a step that will be nurturing and

(12:53):
supportive to you. Reach out to a friend, maybe see if there's a therapist who's right
for you at this time or join an online group or a meditation group so that you can continue
to practice your peace. Do whatever you need to because you deserve to feel better. And
you are allowed to feel better. And you will feel better. You will get there in the way

(13:19):
that's right to you. You are a unique person. Allow yourself to find your own path forward
and know that you are not alone and you're supported every step of the way. Thank you
so much for sharing in this moment of peace and hope with me. In some small way, I really
hope it helped because you deserve this love and you deserve this support. If you would

(14:06):

the times that you need it most. Thank you again for sharing this space with me. Remember,
you are not alone and there is deep power in coming together like this and focusing
on our peace, healing and well-being. I'm your host, Melissa Field and I'll see you

(14:29):
