Teachers like Joyce Meyer and Beth Moore promote a form of absolution to sexually abusive parents. I would argue that absolution is not theirs to give. There is so much chatter within religious circles about forgiveness. Almost to the point of piety or self-righteouness. As if to say, "Aren't I so good." My aim is not to be good but Godly -- and I assure you there is a big difference.
