It's a pivotal time for justice and equity in the United States. In episode 46 of The People of Penn State, we discussed this critical topic with Christina Parle (she/they), an equity, inclusion, and diversity (EID) educator and consultant with her company, Social Responsibility Speaks.
Much of Christina's work with Social Responsibility Speaks is rooted in unlearning, conflict resolution, and effective communication. Christina’s particular interest is in language and its impacts, with specific experience in behavioral conduct, curriculum writing, and leadership education.
Here's what Christina discussed on today's show:
- Developing as a leader during her time as a student at Penn State;
- Serving as the Director of Chapter Services and Conduct for Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity (ZBT);
- The inspiration behind Social Responsibility Speaks;
- Justice, equity, inclusion, and diversity strategies and education;
- What it was like being honored as an Alumni Achievement Award recipient in 2022;
- and more
