We've got an EXCITING bonus episode for you guys! (AND Alex is back for it!) If you haven't heard, JK Williams Distilling is bringing the legacy back to Peoria. We were recently invited to the Launch Party at Peoria Country Club (the fanciest party either of us have ever been to) and we got to learn about the legacy of JK Williams, the new vision for where it's headed, and meet the new people behind the reintroduction of the brand.
For the first portion of the episode, we share the Gold Zephyr Straight Bourbon Whiskey with Andy Faris, the new owner & President of JK Williams Distilling. We talk about their vision, the story of JK Williams, and a brief overview of his story. For the second half of the episode, we sip on the Stormy River High Rye Whiskey with Jeff Murphy, the new Head Distiller of JK Williams. We talk about his journey from being a medic in the military to a police officer to a distiller, what vision he has for the distillery, and his perspective of our community as someone new to the area.
This party was so much fun, and we're excited to bring you a little inside scoop on something familiar yet new coming to the community. Starting October 2, you can find the new JK Williams whiskeys at Binny's, Friar Tuck, and UFS!
