THE PLAYGROUNDgr Podcast and Nature Crate partnered up to a look at Nature Play, in both rural and urban neighborhoods. Join us as we explore mud and the use of water! Who is Nature Crate? Krista and Emily, are mothers and early childhood educators with a passion for play and outdoor learning! Krista is from Ambler, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia), she enjoys a good cup of coffee, reading, and brewing her own Kombucha. Emily is from Juneau, Alaska, she loves skiing (both downhill and cross country), hiking, and tea parties in the woods with her toddlers. They met teaching Tinkergarten classes, and although they are 20 years apart they are kindred spirits, especially when it comes to children playing and learning outside. They created Nature Crate during the COVID19 lockdown to create play materials to help families get outdoors and learn through play. Now Nature Crate sells nature-inspired play materials and kits on the website thenaturecrate.com and hosts nature play events in the Grand Rapids area. #theplaygroundgr #play4thehealthofit
