Welcome back to another episode of the Putty
Report.
Alright, so today's, the nextepisode of the ConvertKit State
of the Creator economy istalking about how creators are
using AI to streamline theirbusiness, because everyone has
been talking about AI.
Right, it says AI is a hottopic online and creators are

(00:23):
testing the new technologythemselves, with 34% of creators
incorporated AI tools last year, 51% want to try them this year
and luckily, there are plentyof options for curious creators
to experiment with.
So, whether you have Canva, they have a new AI image tool,

(00:44):
chatgpt reached 100 millionusers in the first two months.
Dolly 3, sorry, dolly generatedvisuals viewed over 4.2 billion
times this year, and Teachablehas a new AI course curriculum
builder, and there's no signalthat it will slow down.
But still only some creatorsare ready to embrace AI.

(01:08):
11% of creators are concernedabout keeping content original,
which is a valid concern, especially considering AI
represents a new frontier incopyright law.
An additional 32% of creatorsfeel they need more familiarity
with AI to know where to start, and 22% think AI tools are too

(01:30):
expensive.
Ps AI wrote the headline forthis section, could you tell?
So this is great.
I love how they have all thedifferent, all the different
pieces in here and they throw alittle humor.
I love ConvertKit so much, butthey talked about which creators
are using this tool and theybroke down by income streams,

(01:51):
like people that are making somuch money a year are they using
it or not using it?
And so I want you to go checkout that chart.
But it says what can AI do forcreators, and it says and this
is how I use AI all the time Ifyou haven't watched, I created a
YouTube video about the best AItools for podcasters, and it's
exactly what this says, and itsays that it can help you with

(02:15):
editing.
Yes, yes, yes.
36% of digital content creatorsand marketers the groups most
likely to use AI say that AI isthe most useful for editing,
followed by generating graphiccontent.
So I absolutely use it forediting, and that's where I

(02:35):
talked about in my video how Iuse chat, gpt, how I use co-host
AI by Buzzsprout and how I useGrammarly to clean everything up
, and it is just so much fun.
It's so incredible.
And so it says here thatgenerating written content.
This is one of the testimonials.
It says if you think of AI as acreative partner, you can get a

(02:58):
lot of value from it, kind oflike having a team member to
help generate ideas or unblockyou when you're stuck, but if
you let it take over yourprocess, you'll end up watering
down your content and creativity.
And that was from Rob Lennon, the founder of Creator Boost.
So that's one of histestimonials that are in here,
and I absolutely agree that youcan't hand over your entire

(03:22):
creative process to AI.
And I do think and this is whyI really want you to go watch
that YouTube video if youhaven't watched it on how I'm
using AI, because I break downhow I'm using my ideas first.
So even if I'm using chat GPT tohelp me brainstorm some ideas,
I don't let it create the wholeepisode.

(03:43):
I'm using it to really fleshout like, okay, this is what I
want to talk about, and then I'mcreating the episode myself,
and then, with cohost AI, I amactually like it is my audio
content that it's deriving blogpost, ideas, social post, a
title, a description.
So I really like to think aboutit that way, in that I am using

(04:06):
it as a creative assistant andI encourage you to do the same.
So go download this report, golook at the numbers.
It says creators are excitedabout AI's editing capabilities
with like just so many people.
They're talking aboutscheduling, marketing, driving,
engagement and so many other funthings, so absolutely go check
it out.
But that's all I have for youtoday.

(04:27):
So, as always, remember, keepit fresh, keep it fun and just
keep going.
