White power figured out a long time ago that it didn't need to engage in direct conflict to remain dominant--that a far more efficient way of going about business was to get others to do their dirty work for them, either through coercion or through outright sabotage.

It learned that if 2 or more groups it wanted to exploit were busy fighting each other, they would have the time or the resources to focus on it. Furthermore, when the winning side does emerge, they're either grateful for white power backing them, or they're too weak to prevent it from coming in and taking over.

White power has been moving in this manner for the past 500 years, and it's been exceedingly successful.
