We don’t need to guess what Jesus thought about the end times—He laid it out clearly in Matthew 24. Not with cryptic riddles, but with heartfelt warnings. He wasn’t trying to scare us… He was preparing us. So today, we’re digging into what Jesus said—and what He meant—for those who follow Him in these last days.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:“See that no one leads you astray.” — Matthew 24:4 (ESV)

Before Jesus talked about wars or famines or earthquakes, the very first warning He gave in Matthew 24 was about deception. That should get our attention. In fact, He says it multiple times throughout the chapter. “Many will come in My name…” “False prophets will arise…” “Even the elect could be deceived…”

Why the emphasis? Because Jesus knew the last days would be noisy. Loud voices. Bold claims. Religious jargon cloaked in falsehood. If we’re not grounded, we’ll get pulled in.

But then Jesus shifts gears. He says, yes—there will be wars and famines. Nation against nation. Lawlessness. Betrayal. Persecution. But He doesn’t say, “Run.” He says, “Endure.” “Stand firm.” “Lift up your head.”

Jesus never said this would be easy. He said it would be worth it.

And here’s the most beautiful part—right in the middle of all the warnings, He says the Gospel will be preached to the ends of the earth. Yes, there’s shaking. But there’s also sending. God is raising up a people who will preach with boldness while others hide in fear.

This is our time. This is our assignment. Not to decode every symbol—but to live every day with urgency, with holiness, and with compassion for the lost.

Question of the Day:Which of Jesus' warnings in Matthew 24 feels most relevant to you today?

Mini Call to Action:Take 10 minutes today to read Matthew 24 out loud. Don’t skim it. Read it slowly. Let Jesus’ words speak directly to your spirit.

Let’s Pray:Lord Jesus, thank You for Your warnings and Your wisdom. Help me not to live in fear, but in faith. Let me be rooted in truth and bold in love, standing ready for Your return. Amen.

Let’s Get To Work!Jesus didn’t warn us to paralyze us—He warned us to prepare us. Now it’s our move. Open your eyes, strengthen your heart, and get ready.
